  5. To earn the “And Stay Out!” Achievement in Little Kitty, Big City, you need to figure out how to get kicked out of a store. This may sound easy at first, but most stores you walk into don’t care much for your presence. Little Kitty Big City: How to get kicked out of a storeAny store you stroll through in Little Kitty, Big City won’t pay you much mind, so how can you anger them enough to have them kick you out? You can earn the Achievement “And Stay Out!” and get kicked out of a store in Little Kitty, Big City just by walking into the construction yard. For some reason, the construction yard counts as a store, since all I had to do to earn this Achievement was get caught by one of the construction workers. Right near where you first meet the Tanuki, one of the many animals you meet, is a construction site that’s mostly fenced-in. If you manage to make your way inside you’ll see a patrolling construction worker. Screenshot: P...View the full article

  10. Helldivers 2 may already be filled with sinister ****** armies and an endless supply of highly-trained soldiers, but one impressive mod wants to unite Super Earth's forces with the military might of The Republic from Star Wars. It doesn't take much to see the similarities between the obedient and endlessly patriotic Helldivers and the Clone Army designed and created on Kamino. Both are expert fighting forces with seemingly endless numbers, so mashing them up and creating one of the best Star Wars video games never made feels like an almost obvious idea. 11. As Genshin Impact moves closer to the release of Natlan, leaks have started to emerge about what players can expect to see in Version 5.0 and the new region of Teyvat. Though it has been known for some time that Genshin Impact was planning to add mounts as an exploration mechanic in Natlan, very few details about the Pyro Nation made their way to the community. Unlike with Fontaine and Sumeru, players know very little about the Natlan cast. Murata, Xbalanque, and Iansan are confirmed characters, but the rest of the line-up ******** a mystery. 13. In a shocking roster move, ImperialHal ended his five-year stint with North ********* giants TSM today to team with his rivals from DarkZero, joining Genburten and Zer0 to form an Apex Legends super team. The nicknamed “CEO” will renounce his IGL role to follow Zer0’s leadership. TSM and DarkZero’s rosters have a fiery rivalry in the ALGS, with both teams holding three LAN titles. Until ******* Winnity’s dominant performance at the most recent Split One Playoffs, no other team had won a LAN trophy. At the crux of this rivalry was the battle of the IGLs. Although ImperialHal has long been dubbed the “CEO” for his IGL prowess, Zer0 is considered by many to be the best IGL in the game due to his intense attention to detail and strict team control. 14. Niantic is rolling out the red carpet for Necrozma during Pokémon Go Fest 2024, bringing the Legendary to the game along with its fusion variants. Though the way you collect them all is different than you might expect. Starting with Go Fest 2024: Sendai on May 30, players can encounter Necrozma in special event raids as it makes its debut. Additionally, the ability to fuse your captured Necrozma with either Solgaleo or Lunala to get Dusk Mane Necrozma or Dawn Wings Necrozma will also open up. This is technically the first time a fusion mechanic like this has been added to Pokémon Go, despite Kyurem’s fusions previously being pushed live by accident in December, so a new method to obtain these Pokémon will also be implemented. 18. Another massive video game company has been hit by layoffs in what is proving to be one of - if not the - toughest ******* for those working in the industry in recent memory. This time it's Square Enix up to the cutting board, as the company has announced layoffs in both its ********* and ********* departments. Square Enix itself has yet to offer an official announcement. This, first reported by VGC, comes soon after Square announced poor financial results compared to last year, due in large part to the cancellation of some unannounced video games. This move was made to better fit with a new longer-term company strategy - dubbed "Square Enix Reboots and Awakens" - but has resulted in a 70% profit deficit in contrast to this time last year. What these games are ******** a mystery, but it appears that the publication of this information came as a retreating tide, followed shortly by this wave of Square Enix layoffs. The news was broken to staff via a company'wide town hall meeting, in which president Takashi Kiryu stated that over the next month those from publishing, IT, and Square Enix’s Collective indie games division would be most affected. The exact number of layoffs has not been confirmed. Read more View the full article

  20. Chances are, if you ask any fan of League of Legends esports who the best Western team has been over the last few years, nine out of 10 folks would say G2 Esports. And in a recent graphic shown on the 2024 Mid-Season Invitational broadcast, the numbers signaling just how much better G2 have performed in comparison to the rest of their Western counterparts is staggering. The graphic, titled “Fighting the Raid Boss,” showed off just how effective G2 have been in comparison to the rest of the West when facing off against Korean and ******** League teams over the last two seasons. G2’s win rate against the East is just over 29 percent over the last two seasons, while everyone else from the West is putting up a combined win rate of eight percent (yes, it’s that low). 24. In 2022, fans of the 1990s adventure series Monkey Island finally got another game with Return to Monkey Island, which notably marked creator Ron Gilbert's first time directing a Monkey Island project in 30 years. Now, it looks like Gilbert has another project up his sleeve that's due out just two (or maybe three) years later. As pointed out by Time Extension, Gilbert has been sharing progress on an untitled RPG that's described as "classic Zelda meets Diablo meets Thimbleweed Park," according to studio Terrible Toybox's website. Screenshots of the game shared on Gilbert's Mastodon account show off a top-down pixel art style reminiscent of classic Zelda titles, flaunting a few quaint houses in a woodsy area as well as some classic dungeons, spooky forests, and a ********* full of skeletons. Earlier this week, Gilbert also announced that Elissa ****** is joining the team as a quest designer. "This ups the chance by 37% that I'll finish the game before becoming bored and disillusioned," his post reads. According to publisher Terrible Toybox's website, the untitled game will be released in "late 2024 (or maybe early 2025, this is gamedev after all)." IGN gave Return to Monkey Island a 9 in our review, saying Gilbert's return to directing a Monkey Island game "meant a lot to me before I ever clicked to start a New Game, and it meant far more after the end credits rolled." We also crowned it as the best puzzle game of 2022, and it finally made its way to mobile last summer. Amelia Zollner is a freelance writer at IGN who loves all things indie and Nintendo. 25. I thought opening the impossible door in Mario 64 was the coolest thing that’d happened to the Nintendo 64 in years, but Mr. Wiseguy’s just-released N64 Recompiled blows me away. It’s a tool that theoretically lets you turn any N64 game into a native PC port, the better to play and preserve N64 games — and to showcase its abilities, you can already download Windows and Linux-native apps for The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask that seem to run incredibly well. It almost seems too good to be true: I just double-clicked an EXE file on my Windows laptop, told the app where to find a Majora’s Mask ROM file, and was immediately playing a copy of the game that felt incredibly responsive to my every press on a 165Hz variable refresh rate screen,...
