Supergiant Games has released the first major patch for Hades 2 since its Early Access launch on May 6. The Hades 2 Patch 1 buffs resource gathering and sprint speed, amongst other important additions and tweaks.Patch 1 for Hades 2 improves sprint speed and resource gatheringOn May 16, Supergiant Games posted the Early Access Patch 1 notes alongside the patch itself. Patch 1 for Hades 2 introduces buffs for resource gathering and sprint speed, but those are just two of many new improvements and changes. The most exciting improvements have to be the changes with resource gathering. Once you’ve unlocked the correct Gathering Tool, you can gather from any resource point. Since Hades II launched in Early Access just over a week ago, developer Supergiant Games has been collecting feedback from players. Now, some of that feedback has been put to use in the game's first patch, and there are still more adjustments on their way. Today, Supergiant Games released the first Early Access patch for Hades II, which includes substantial changes to player movement, encounters, and level design as well as a handful of bug fixes. The patch notes are available on Steam. "Here's our first patch in Early Access!! We're very grateful for all the feedback so far, which inspired this first set of targeted improvements and fixes." the patch notes read. Most notably, the patch makes sprinting faster, dashing out of ******* recovery animations more reliable, and gathering easier (now, players can get resources from any resource point once they unlock the right Gathering Tool, and Tools can be prioritized to make its respective resources appear more often). The design of several areas has also been altered to make dashing and resource gathering easier. It also fixes a few frustrating bugs, including certain Boons not working as expected and foes spawning out of bounds. The patch is almost entirely inspired by players, with every item in the notes except for two spurred by community feedback. The patch notes also mention that the next patch will focus on balance changes and other adjustments based on feedback. First announced during the Game Awards in 2022, Hades II had a short technical test last month before heading into Early Access. Since its launch on May 6, it more than doubled its predecessor's concurrent player count. If you’re planning to change your character appearance in Final Fantasy 14, you’ll definitely want to hold off until the release of Dawntrail—according to today’s Live Letter, Fantasia potions will be getting a major overhaul as of 7.0. Currently, the appearance-changing potion is a one-time consumable item that allows you to re-enter the character creation screen for your existing character. Microsoft-owned Activision has announced Elsewhere Entertainment a new, Warsaw-based studio. With additional resources based in the US, the internal, standalone studio consists of a collection of developers whose credits include The Last of Us, Uncharted, The Witcher, Cyberpunk, Destiny, Tom Clancy’s The Division, and Far Cry. A new Call of Duty care package sent to content creators seems to confirm recent leaks of the Kar98k returning in season four. The Kar98k rifle was one of the original Warzone‘s truly dominant weapons, and leaks have pointed to its return since last month. Now, with season four less than two weeks away, Activision is using content creators to drum up hype. I’ve had a chance to get a first look at this new overlay, and my initial impression is that it’s really unobtrusive, clean, and simple. There are five main sections here: search, friends, Trophies, profile, and settings. Search lets you find other PlayStation players and add them as friends, whereas the friends section lists both your online and offline friends. You can see your friends’ Trophies, but you can’t message friends or party chat from this overlay, unfortunately.
