  2. A new Humble Choice lineup becomes available on the first Tuesday of each month. That means November’s Humble Choice is now available for $14.99. This month, members get eight PC games with a total MSRP of $254, including Total War: Warhammer 3, Etrian Odyssey HD, and more. Read on for the full list and all the details. Humble Choice November 2025 Game Lineup All eight PC games are delivered in the form of Steam codes. It’s a solid lineup of titles, representing a wide variety of genres. That means there’s something for everyone, and some off-the-beaten-path games you might not normally buy, but now you get them without having to pay anywhere near full price. Here’s the full list of games included in the November 2025 Humble Choice, with blurbs from the press release. Total War Warhammer III: A grand-scale strategy game where fantasy armies battle daemonic forces in the Realm of Chaos.Another Crab's Treasure: A Soulslike adventure where a hermit crab fights enemies using trash as makeshift shells.Pharaoh: A New Era: A 4K remake of the classic city-builder where you manage resources, appease gods, and build magnificent monuments in Ancient Egypt.Etrian Odyssey HD: A first-person dungeon crawler focused on creating a party and mapping a dangerous labyrinth. No More Heroes 3: A stylish hack-and-slash game where an assassin fights alien superheroes in over-the-top battles.Synergy: A sci-fi city-builder about building a sustainable human settlement on a harsh alien planet.Spin Hero: A roguelike RPG where combat and progression are determined by spinning a slot machine.Paleo Pines: A cozy farming sim where you run a ranch, explore an island, and befriend dinosaurs. The biggest game in here is probably the strategy game Total War: Warhammer III, which we gave a 9/10 in our review. It’s a huge blockbuster PC game with many dozens of potential hours of play time. Another Crab’s Treasure is a surprisingly accessible Soulslike game that got an 8/10 in our review. And Etrian Odyssey HD is a personal favorite, a remaster of a Nintendo DS dungeon crawler that has you draw the map as you explore. Anyone interested in relaxing farm sims can try out Paleo Pines, while No More Heroes 3 offers fast-paced action. There’s plenty here to try, and any one of these games is worth the $14.99 asking price all on its own. Getting the whole bundle for that price is a killer deal. As always with Humble Choice, a membership gets you a month of IGN Plus as an added bonus, as well as access to more than 50 DRM-free games in the Humble Vault. You also get a discount on Humble Store purchases, with ******* discounts the longer you keep your membership active. Finally, 5% of each Humble Choice membership goes to charity. This month’s charity is No Kid Hungry, which seems like a particularly timely choice. It works to make sure kids across the country have reliable access to healthy meals. 4. Blending the familiar gameplay mechanics of The Legend of Zelda franchise with the stunning HD-2D pixelated visuals of Octopath Traveler, The Ballad of Bellum transports players to a picturesque world where they must gather strange artifacts to save their friend and become a hero. Early comparisons to the likes of The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening and the upcoming Octopather Traveler 0 are certainly apt, yet The Ballad of Bellum manages to set itself apart from its spiritual predecessors with several unique twists. 6. Finding Toaster can be one of the most challenging tasks to complete in ARC Raiders if you don't know where to look, but this guide will help clear your confusion. The Toaster is a crucial item that's required in specific upgrades. It's also tied with a couple of late-game quests, so it's beneficial to know how to find them. Table of contentsBest Toaster locations in ARC RaidersHow to use the Toaster in ARC RaidersBest Toaster locations in ARC Raiders Toasters are typically found in big residential buildings like apartments and offices that have been deserted in Topside. While such locations are found in all locations, the best area is the Spaceport map. On Spaceport, target the Departure building and the Arrival building. The Departure building has had the highest chances of success for me and my colleagues. Enter the building from the ground floor, take the stairs. The upper floors have plenty of tables, and you can find Toaster on some of them. Screenshot and Remix by Destructoid Do note that you can't find a Toaster as a loot. In simple words, you can't find them in any containers/cabinets/boxes. They are only available as a pick-up item, and their rate of spawn depends on the map rotation. Screenshot via Embark Another great spot to find a Toaster is the Arrival building. Go to the back of the building, and you'll find a ladder. This will allow you to use the broken roof foundations and approach the upper floors more easily, and also avoid the ARCs on the lower enemies. How to use the Toaster in ARC Raiders The Toaster has different uses in the game. Upgrade: Refiner 1 to Refiner 2 (Requires 3 Toaster along with other items)Salvage: 1 Toaster gives you 3 WiresRecycle: 1 Toaster gives you 5 Plastic Parts and 3 Wires You can also choose to sell a Toaster for 1,000 coins apiece. 7. Destiny 2's promised roadmap has been nowhere to be seen for nearly two months now, much to the dismay of fans of the suffering shooter. Principal communications manager Dylan "dmg_04" Gafner apologized for the delay today, taking the blame for a promise that wasn't feasible in the given timeline. "Cannot apologize enough for the delay here," he said about the roadmap today. "[...]I am happy to take 100% of the blame here in promising comms early that we could not execute on in the projected timeline." Each one is asking where the roadmap is. Image via Bungie Community calls for a roadmap have permeated discussions around the future of Destiny 2 for the past months. The game has been on a steep decline after the release of the controversial The Edge of Fate expansion on July 15. The mid-cycle update—Sept. 9's Ash & Iron—was meant to be a point of relief and change, though the lackluster launch didn't have the intended effect on player counts or sentiment. Knowing what lies ahead could be one way to placate disappointed players. Gafner mentioned a roadmap was coming "soon" on the day of Ash & Iron's release, but two months later, the promised map hasn't come to fruition yet. "Please continue to yell at me directly, and I say this without any sarcasm," he wrote today, directing feedback to himself and saying the developers are "focused on our immediate and long term future." Gafner is undoubtedly in an unenviable position leading comms for the game. Unsurprisingly, however, communication managers usually deal with communicating instead of cranking out code, making balancing passes, or designing the game's high-level principles and systems, so they can't publish a roadmap that isn't ready for public eyes. That said, the fact that it's taking so long to reveal what's in stock for the game may be cause for concern, and Bungie already has enough of those. Player trust hasn't recovered since Edge of Fate, and the game routinely hits its lowest recorded Steam player counts, according to data from Steamcharts. Fans have long been calling for any display of what the future of the game looks like after the current expansion. With just four weeks to go until Renegades lands on Dec. 2, not having a roadmap by now doesn't help inspire faith in Destiny 2 at a point when the game needs it the most, and it may foster the community's perception that there isn't a set vision for one. 17. Today's Destiny 2 teaser for the Renegades expansion showed off a slew of guns and gear debuting next month. The new Exotics stole the show—more specifically, the upcoming Titan chest piece, which seems to work like a jetpack. The new Praxic Vestment chest piece gives Titan an "advanced tactical air move," according to its official description in the trailer. In practice, this seems to translate to a limited but respectable air lunge that allows players to cover a decent distance, both horizontally and vertically. It also counts as moving for the purposes of lunging melee attacks, such as Shield Bash, Hammer Strike, and Seismic Bash. [Hidden Content] The other two Exotics almost feel bland in comparison. The Deimosuffusion Exotic Warlock helmet causes your Rifts to suspend enemies and makes this affliction deal damage over time, while the Fortune's Favor leg armor for Hunters seems to only let your shield fill up into an overshield. Though it's easy to imagine the Titan as the stalwart, anchored shield that staves off the assault, Destiny's take on the subclass also offers some mobility—with the Twilight Garrison Exotic armor piece in the original game, plus the Thruster ability added to the sequel with Arc 3.0 in 2022. Of course, the functionality seen in the teaser may not always be exactly how it plays out inside the game, and there's always the chance of an interaction not shown in the description. But so far, Titans seem to be the big winners from the teaser. Barring any yet unadvertised synergies with overshield for Hunters or an extra-strong layer of protection to stack with other sources of damage reduction, the new leg piece seems almost skippable at first glance, more likely appearing in PvP modes than in PvE. Hunter mains have called for buffs to the class, which may not feel as powerful as its counterparts using certain builds, and this Exotic may not shift the needle in that regard. Warlocks may also get a couple different options for Suspend with Deimosuffusion, especially with Strand. It'll be hard to replace a well-rolled Solipsism for Prismatic builds, however, given a build with the upcoming helmet will also require a strong investment in the Class stat and giving up on Phoenix Dive. The video also showed a set of weapons inspired by Star Wars, which is the theme of Renegades when it launches on Dec. 2. Among the ranks, you'll find new hand cannons, sidearms, pulse rifles, and even a heavy sniper rifle—hopefully a Legendary one this time. 22. ARC Raiders is the most accessible and fun addition to the extraction shooter genre that I've found yet. As a novice in this particular kind of game, I've tried popular titles like Escape From Tarkov, Gray Zone Warfare, Delta Force, Call of Duty DMZ, and even Marathon, and none of them have caught on with me like this one has. ARC Raiders stands apart from the rest because it was fun and approachable enough to get its hooks in me early on, and the satisfying grind keeps me logging in for more despite my own inventory-draining failures, making it yet another triumph in gaming in 2025. High arching potential Image via Embark Studios For those new to the extraction genre, it's all about deploying into a map (varied, beautiful locales known as "Topside" in contrast with humanity's new underground setting), looting gear and valuable items, and extracting safely while dealing with AI enemies and other players at the same time. ARC Raiders sends you out into a post-apocalyptic world with some cobbled-together weapons and objectives, and it's up to you to improve your gear and get better weapons. If you die, you lose whatever you're carrying, and so it's all about the risk vs. reward gamble. Playable as a solo or in groups of up to three, ARC Raiders relies heavily on your interactions with other players. There's no strictly PvE mode in the game (yet), and it's one of the most-requested features so far. But if you want to join other Raiders, be ready to communicate. I've found a lot of fun voice-chatting with other players who have common objectives, such as finding specific gear for a quest or teaming up to take down fierce ARC enemies, and I've even made a few friends along the way. This can only be done if you're willing to talk or emote, and if you get lucky enough to find a like-minded gamer and not someone who wants you dead on sight. The lore and world of ARC Raiders, where a robot apocalypse has forced humanity underground, is awesome but drip-fed. Your character progresses via XP and a skill tree, and the story evolves through quests from vendors and the occasional cutscene, but a lot of the story discovery is up to you if you want to seek it out. And unfortunately, the majority of quests in the game are mundane item-fetching tasks as opposed to being more expositionally interesting. This can make progression feel like a drag at times, especially considering how lethal ARC enemies are while also having to contend with other players to try and gain XP and quest-specific items. Dying and losing your higher-quality gear is devastating and demoralizing. This may turn some players off, especially those who wish for PvE only, but that's just not how this genre works…yet. Image via Embark Studios Thankfully, all of the intrigue and danger is wrapped in a third-person shooter that feels excellent and rewarding to play, regardless of how many times I have lost my entire inventory. ARC Raiders is gorgeous and runs perfectly on just about any PC rig, which may be its biggest strength in 2025. You will die and lose stuff, but it won't be because of game performance. Looting is also a breeze thanks to a clean and easy-to-read UI, so making snap decisions in the heat of battle while looting an ARC or corpse feels easier than in the other games of the genre I've tried. A tale of two topsides Image via Embark Studios For myself (and many others, according to online sentiment), ARC Raiders often feels like two different games. The solo experience is lauded as being cooperative and friendly, as players often look to finish quests and work together. The situation with trios (and duos) could not feel any more different. If you ****** up for a group, be ready for war. It's possible to meet other friendly players when queued as a squad, but for the most part, Raiders will be shooting on sight. This is because Embark prioritizes team sizes when it comes to matchmaking, although there is no individual support for duos, so if you ****** up as two, you will more often than not end up fighting teams of three. Coupled with the danger of ARCs and other teams in the area, it makes for a harrowing and difficult experience. For newer players to the genre or those looking for an experience close to PvE, I'd say stick with solos and use your microphone or emote wheel to let players know you are not a threat. This doesn't mean they won't gun you down immediately or, worse, gain your trust and take you out at a more advantageous time, but that's the risk you take every time you go Topside. And it's all part of the fun. The divide in the playerbase between those who wish for PvE and the genre veterans who expect the bloodthirst feels wide at launch, and I can see the case from both sides. ARCs are a pain to contend with, and so progressing quests can be a slow and painful grind if you keep getting targeted by other players. But that is what extraction shooters are, in the end, and everyone is free to play how they choose. Just be prepared to face the consequences. Further catering to more casual players, however, the vaunted "server wipe" in the extraction genre, where player inventories get wiped, is replaced by a Prestige-like system where players can opt in to reset their character for special rewards. But since it's not forced, ARC Raiders further lends itself to accessibility and a potentially wider berth of players. Screenshot via Embark ARC Raiders' launch offering is just the beginning. With two months of a roadmap already available, this game will stick around with content updates for quite some time, offering new maps, weapons, and experiences to bring players back in the fold even if they venture off into other titles. But as for a base game, it's off to a very hot and promising start. The post ARC Raiders review – The risk finally rewards a stellar experience appeared first on Destructoid. View the full article
