Is Throne and Liberty Steam Deck compatible? Amazon's latest venture into the MMORPG landscape is out now, and it appears as though Valve's Steam Deck has no issue running the game. The Linux operating system, however, could become an issue. The Throne and Liberty system requirements are on par with plenty of other games that run well on the Steam Deck. However, while it may be the best handheld gaming PC, Valve's handheld sometimes runs into issues that have nothing to do with game performance but can still prevent games from running on the device. It's been fascinating watching the progression of Dungeonborne from launch to its current iteration. It feels that with every free game, there's a monetization slider that needs to be nudged to the correct spot for the title to thrive. This nebulous graph can go all the way from containing no microtransactions to being littered with them. New MMO Throne and Liberty seems to fall somewhere in the middle, containing plenty of areas where you can spend your cash but with the developer promising that no purchases are essential and everything can be earned for free. With the community hotly debating exactly where T&L falls, we got the chance to talk to Amazon Games globalization design manager Danuel Lafuente about how the game is attempting to handle any accusations that it's pay-to-win. You usually expect to make some big compromises when you're buying a PC for under the magic $1,000 mark, but this Best Buy gaming PC deal enables you to pick up a great spec for just $989.99 right now. That price not only gets you an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060 Ti GPU, but you also get an eight-core AMD Ryzen CPU, 32GB of RAM, and a 1TB SSD. That spec would usually set you back $1,179.99, but you can save $190 on it at the moment. That's not an entry-level spec, but more what you expect to find in the best gaming PC options we've reviewed for mid-range budgets, with plenty of power for gaming at 1,920 x 1,080, even if you whack up all the eye candy. Lego Ideas are fan-submitted builds that, with enough backing, are considered for an official release. Last year, a No Man's Sky set reached the 10,000 vote milestone with support from Sean Murray himself, but unfortunately it didn't make the cut. That hasn't dissuaded the community, however, who are now pushing another Lego set for consideration. View the full article
Something feels off. I’ve brought an utterly improbable Champions League title to Aston Villa, built an enviable Ultimate Team and developed a formation that keeps at least outright humiliation at bay in online matches… And yet, my heart isn’t bursting with the joy of joga bonito. This must be how Guardiola feels, popping onto the pitch to celebrate his annual Prem title with the latest batch of ruthlessly efficient, lab-grown wonderkids and pushing down the feeling that this one doesn’t feel quite as special as the first. That is to say, EA Sports FC25 is a bit like FC24. Which was quite a lot like FIFAs 21-23, which had a lot in common with the FIFAs our ancient ancestors used to play by the fireside in their primitive tribal dwellings. There are noticeable additions - particularly new tactics controls and a 5v5 Rush mode - and I’m glad they’re here. But as much as they contribute towards a continuously compelling suite of foot-to-ball, they can’t quite dislodge the nagging feeling that this shouldn’t be an annual, full-price release anymore. Image: AMD AMD is releasing new BIOS updates that will boost performance for its Ryzen 9600X / 9700X processors and address some latency issues. The performance improvements and latency reductions arrive around a month after disappointing Zen 5 desktop CPU reviews and appear alongside updates to Windows 11 that include optimized AMD-specific branch prediction for both Zen 4 and Zen 5 chips. CPU reviewers have been reporting a higher-than-expected core-to-core latency across the Ryzen 9000-series of desktop processors, and now AMD has addressed this with a new BIOS optimization. The latest AMD updates for AM5 motherboards include AGESA PI 1.2.0.2 firmware, which AMD says will address some “corner cases” where it takes two transactions to read and... While I’m all for building dread through a lingering introduction, it’s always a treat to play a horror game that wastes no time tearing the moorings of familiarity right out from underneath you, as is the case with 13th Street Studios’ Becrowned. In fact, the game’s demo managed to make me go “oooh” than “ah!” in three different ways before I’d even exited the starting elevator. It also made me go “ugh” once, because I opted against tank controls, despite the suggestion to use them with mouse and keyboard. I come to you as disembodied voice, trapped between the worlds of video game inputs, with a dire plea: don’t do that. Just use tank controls. I’d restart but I’m already in too deep. Following the release of Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2’s game-changing patch 3.0 last week, dataminers have dug into the files and unearthed what looks like upcoming armor customization pieces — including one fans had hoped would be added to the game. Images of the Mark 6 Corvus and Mark 7 Aquila Astartes helmets were posted to reddit, showing that developer Saber Interactive likely plans to expand the game’s Space Marine customization beyond variations of the latest Mark 10 Tacticus power armor. Mark 7 has also been datamined along with Mark 6. We are about to be eating brothers! byu/MuiminaKumo inSpacemarine .reddit-embed-wrapper iframe { margin-left: 0 !important; } Space Marine 2, which is set in Warhammer 40,000’s current and ongoing Indomitus Era, features Primaris (*******, stronger, better) marines and thus focuses on the latest armor sets in the tabletop. However, this datamine suggests old favorites are potentially on the way, and it’s the “beaky” helmet popularized by the Raven Guard chapter of Space Marines that’s got Warhammer 40,000 fans most excited. There’s more. Redditor agentduckman12 found a number of images in the game files that reveal what looks like the new customization pieces coming to Space Marine 2 as part of its big October patch and the launch of Season 2 of the game. We see images of a number of weapons skins, that beaky helmet again, and winged Dark Angels helmets alongside the chapter's new armor set. There’s also an image of a Salamanders ******* Rifle skin, supposedly part of a Salamanders Champion Pack coming at some point for the ******* class. This tallies with what Saber has announced is coming to Space Marine 2 in Season 2 (a Dark Angels Champion Pack, Cosmetic Pack, and ******* Skin pack). upcoming content that i extracted from the game there is also the mark 8 but did not show byu/agentduckman12 inSpacemarine .reddit-embed-wrapper iframe { margin-left: 0 !important; } Saber has yet to show off upcoming customization pieces, so for now this all ******** firmly in datamined territory, but with October around the corner, it won’t be long before the developer reveals what’s to come. Speaking of patch 3.0, IGN has reported on a seemingly innocuous change it made to Space Marine 2’s ending that got Warhammer 40,000 fans excited. IGN also recently interviewed Saber chief creative officer Tim Willits about the boost he expects the PS5 Pro will give the game, and how the breakout success of Space Marine 2 has “changed everything” for the studio. Meanwhile, Warhammer 40,000 superfan Henry Cavill has been playing Space Marine 2 and delivered his verdict, and we also have details on what fans can expect from Space Marine 2’s seasonal post-launch content model. It's been over a decade since Blizzard, developers of StarCraft and WarCraft, released a new real-time strategy game, but not for want of enthusiasm from certain Blizzard developers. According to a report, former StarCraft 2 production director Tim Morten and unnamed accomplices pitched several RTS projects to higher-ups at Activision-Blizzard, before Morten jumped ship to co-found Stormgate creators Frost Giant in 2020. These pitches included WarCraft 4, as you'd expect, and also a Call Of Duty RTS, as you'd probably also expect, though seemingly no new StarCraft. Read more View the full article
