  6. Ghostface is out now in Mortal Kombat 1, and players can finally see exactly who is under that most famous of horror masks. Warning! Spoilers for Ghostface’s true identity in Mortal Kombat 1 are below. Developer NetherRealm had confirmed Mortal Kombat 1’s Ghostface is none other than Billy Loomis, the main antagonist of the 1996 Scream film and the original Ghostface ******* played by Skeet Ulrich. But now Ghostface is out Mortal Kombat 1 players can see the actual face behind the mask when they perform a Fatality or Fatal ***** against him. Here’s how Billy looks in Mortal Kombat 1: Better look at Ghostface actual identity byu/Brandon26262 inMortalKombat .reddit-embed-wrapper iframe { margin-left: 0 !important; } Billy Loomis confirmed for Woodsburrow ghostface in MK1 #MortalKombat1 #Ghostface #billyloomis #mk1 [Hidden Content] — Casey (@BoogieBoysGoBoo) November 18, 2024 While this clears things up on one Ghostface, what about the others? If you pick a Ghostface mirror match, dialogue between the two reveals one is Billy and the other is his friend Stu Macher, who in the original Scream films helps during the ******** spree in Woodsboro. But the person behind the mask is always Billy (currently there’s no Stu model to be found.) There’s even more going on with this Ghostface. As IGN had reported ahead of the DLC character’s launch, NetherRealm has used Ghostface to secretly bring back two characters from a 20-year-old Mortal Kombat game. Ghostface is actually three characters in one, as you can switch to temporarily playing as The Enforcer or The ********* by holding a button during certain moves. The lore justification here is Ghostface has been transported to Lui Kang's timeline without his partners from the movies, so recruits two members of the ****** Dragon clan to help him out. Mortal Kombat fans had identified moves that are directly related to Kobra (Enforcer) and Kira (*********), two human ****** Dragon members who each made their debut in 2004’s Mortal Kombat: Deception. With Ghostface’s release, Mortal Kombat modder @thethiny confirmed Kobra and Kira are indeed the two other Ghostface killers who help Billy out. CONFIRMED Ghostface 1 is Billy Ghostface 2 is Kira Ghostface 3 is Kobra [Hidden Content] — thethiny (@thethiny) November 19, 2024 So far, players have yet to uncover faces under the masks for Kobra or Kira, as it’s always Billy no matter which version of Ghostface is in play when the Fatality or ******** ***** is performed. Ghostface in Mortal Kombat 1 is voiced by Roger L. Jackson, who has voiced the character throughout the Scream franchise. Up next is Conan the Barbarian and T-1000 Terminator. 16. S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl developer GSC Game World has confirmed the global release times for its hotly anticipated post-apocalyptic shooter. In a tweet, GSC said the November 20 release date for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl kicks off at 8am PT / 11am ET, and is consistent across both PC and Xbox Series X and S. It also launches straight into Xbox Game Pass as part of Wave 2 of November 2024’s lineup. GSC has also confirmed S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2’s final PC system requirements. The game provides four graphics presets: low; medium; high; and epic, as well as a target resolution and FPS for each. The high graphics preset is what GSC calls 'recommended,' and provides 60fps gameplay at 1440p. For that high graphics preset you’ll need a Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070 Ti / RTX 4070 or AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT GPU and 32GB of RAM. Low and medium require 16GB of RAM and less powerful GPUs. All graphics presets, however, require 160GB of SSD storage, which is a significant footprint worth bearing in mind if you’re planning on playing. Meanwhile, GSC confirmed S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 features upscaling options for DLSS and FSR. Specifically, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 launches with DLSS 3 and Reflex, which means GeForce RTX 40 Series gamers can activate DLSS 3 with Frame Generation and Super Resolution from day-one, accelerating performance. Ukrainian studio GSC said at the time that the extra two months would give the developers the chance to fix “unexpected anomalies,” aka bugs. GSC has also been vocal about the challenges the studio has faced getting S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 up to scratch after a mixed reaction to its debut public showing last year. At gamescom 2023, GSC addressed what some had called a “downgrade” sparked by S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2’s then latest gameplay trailer. At the time, GSC told IGN it was still targeting a visual quality and level of polish suggested by S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2’s eye-catching 2021 trailer despite the horrendous conditions suffered by the staff amid the war with Russia. 18. Revenant’s Act Two brought more Tonic Recipes to Destiny 2, giving players a new set of weapons to chase—and more Tonics to unlock. The new Tonics in Act Two are one of the main avenues to unlock new weapons, such as Noxious Vetiver, Scavenger’s Fate, and Gridskipper. If you want some of the greatest hits from Act One, too, you can find more recipes for Exuviae and Bitter/Sweet, letting you farm them while diving into the Tomb of Elders activities and without needing to step into Revenant’s Onslaught: Salvation. 19. Noxious Vetiver arrived in Destiny 2 after introducing the Tomb of Elders in Revenant’s Act Two, bringing decent options for a **** roll under its belt. This new 600rpm Arc SMG comes with a couple of expected hits, paired with a couple of unexpected perk choices. Noxious Vetiver has access to Jolting Feedback, a *****-less version of Voltshot that quickly became the new Arc sweetheart following its release in Revenant. And while that trait is certainly on our list of **** rolls, it also has a few other options in the fourth column. View the full article
  20. The Alethonym Catalyst arrived with Revenant’s Act Two, bringing a new trick to the unique Stasis-based Exotic grenade launcher. This translates to a welcome boost in damage but lacks the fanfare of some Exotic catalysts (like the Huckleberry’s Kinetic Tremors added in Revenant). Fans who hoped for a Stasis synergy may be disappointed with the catalyst since it’s another ready-to-slot perk rather than a unique addition. Still, it’s hard to complain about an easily activated bump in damage. View the full article
  21. Scavenger’s Fate landed during the second act of Destiny 2’s Episode Revenant, adding another Void shotgun to the list—and this one has a fairly stacked list of perks in its **** roll. This shotgun has no Withering Gaze, but it still brings plenty of surprises. The usual reload perk and damage perk formula certainly applies here, and in no small part because of a wealth of options to speed up your reload. There are even a couple of good perks for Destiny 2‘s Crucible if you’re PvP-inclined. View the full article

  23. Thanks to Half-Life 2: Raising the Bar and the Half-Life 2 beta ***** from 2003, we've had a few little looks at concepts Valve considered for the FPS sequel but had to cut during development. For instance, thanks to files found in the leaked version, we know there were plans for a level set on an icebreaker ship that would lead to a mini-submarine trip to an underwater base—an idea that ended up being re-used in the Half-Life 2: Episode 3 synopsis, and the fan game based on it...
