In a tweet, Ukrainian studio GSC said that in addition to these sales, “much more” are playing via S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2’s day one launch on Xbox Game Pass, Microsoft’s subscription service. “No wonder it feels a bit crowdy in the Zone,” GSC tweeted. “A million copies were sold, and much more stalkers joined the artifact hunt with Game Pass. “This is just the start of our unforgettable adventure. The Heart of Chornobyl emanates stronger with each of us. “Thank You, stalkers!” S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl hit the one million sold milestone less than 48 hours after launching across PC and Xbox Series X and S. On Steam, it has a peak concurrent player count of 117,928, putting it among the most-played games on Valve’s platform. Microsoft does not make Xbox player numbers public. The game in question, Boktai: The Sun Is In Your Hand, is a Game Boy Advance title from 2003, in which you play a vampire-slaying gunslinger. The **** you're slinging is a "solar-powered" *******, which you could charge up using a cartridge-mounted photometric sensor by physically standing in sunshine. This was 13 years before the launch of Pokemon Go. Sadly, Boktai's debut didn't result in city parks or rooftops being flooded by crowds of GBA-wielding undead killers. If the world of Stalker feels more alive than some of its contemporaries, like Fallout, Starfield, or even GTA, it's because of the A-life system. A mainstay of GSC's apocalyptic shooter, in short, A-life governs the off-screen, ambient behaviour of NPCs and The Zone itself. If you were ever plodding through the elder Stalker games, and suddenly came upon two factions of survivors in a big gunfight with one another, it was because of A-life. If you've left a settlement, finished a mission, come back, and found your favorite character tragically *****, it was A-life. ***** The Man In The House is a video game title I can get behind. It tells me exactly what I need to do before I even boot up the game, which is otherwise powerfully weird-looking. The cover art is reminiscent of a *********** book, if it were for adults. Upon some serious soul searching following a little time with the early access build of open world game Vivat Slovakia, I have unfortunately had to admit to myself that it is probably not the GTA 6 ******* I was hoping for. This upsets me slightly, because I find Rockstar’s constant self-assured bloviating to be quite irritating, even though I’m sure I’ll play their game for a billion hours. What Vivat Slovakia is, then, is a very ambitious homage to the Grand Theft Auto series that isn’t shy about it, right down to the font choices. This Geekom AX8 Pro shows that the future is small, or in this case, tiny - this mini PC is one of the smallest you can buy right now, small enough to fit in your hand at just 4.3-inches wide. While this top-end Geekom mini PC is small, it's mighty in performance, with the AX8 Pro offering components that make it a great option for daily use. It's an all AMD affair - the eight-core AMD Ryzen 9 8945HS that powers it is formidable, and while the integrated AMD Radeon 780M GPU won't be competing with the best gaming PCs out there, it can still handle some modern games at 1080p, as long you choose them carefully. Everything about the AX8 Pro feels high end, from the box it shipped in to the all metal chassis to the impressive performance. I could genuinely see myself using it on a day-to-day basis as a full replacement for my desktop PC, but it's important to recognize its limitations: this is a daily driver, all-use mini PC, and not one that's built specifically for gaming.
