  1. I love a good genre mashup. There's just something about taking multiple tried and true categories of videogames and throwing them together, potentially creating something unique in the process. Well, this is exactly what the newly revealed Covenant does, by taking the world of Dark Souls and blending it with the fast-paced FPS combat of games like Doom. So if you're looking for something new, this is one to keep a close eye on. Read the rest of the story... View the full article

  4. New leaks showing The Herta in Honkai: Star Rail 3.0 highlights the usage of her treasure-finding skill and, based on the footage, it seems like her ability is a lot better than originally anticipated. The Herta is confirmed as one of the new characters in Version 3.0, alongside Aglaea and the Remembrance Trailblazer. Version 3.0 will be the next big patch for HoYoverse’s turn-based RPG as it should initiate the game’s third year of content, where players will visit Amphoreus. The roster of Amphoreus characters in Honkai: Star Rail has been teased and Aglaea will be the first made playable. View the full article

  7. The appeal of Civilization 7 and the series comes from how it simulates the vastness of history. Normally, players guide a single civilization over thousands of years, which is satisfying in a story sense, but it misses the real-life changes that cultures go through. History isn't just a straight line; societies change, grow, and adapt due to new technologies and social shifts. Past games often overlooked these significant changes by focusing on a single civilization, so players missed out on understanding how culture and technology influence each other. 9. With the permanent return of Fortnite OG, players are calling on Epic Games to remove the apparent influx of bots from the old-school game mode. OG has made a return to Fortnite alongside the brand-new Chapter 6, and while the hit of nostalgia has been going down well for most, player reports have been flooding in that appear to showcase bots playing a prevalent part in matches. Many players are saying this now makes Fortnite OG far too easy, while asking Epic to either rebalance their involvement or remove them entirely. Read the rest of the story... 11. Path of Exile 2 has drawn a lot of inspiration from Soulslikes, what with the boss fights more closely resembling those of Elden Ring than the ones in Diablo 2. But it seems the devs went beyond rolling and combat, also taking some quest design hints for tasks like Ancient Vows. The Ancient Vows quest in the game’s Act 2 is lifted straight out of FromSoftware’s design book. It gives you some random items and tells you: go figure it out. If you were as confused as everyone else, here’s how to complete this strange PoE 2 quest. View the full article
  12. After a long wait, Warzone Ranked Play has finally made its way to Urzikstan, and players will want to equip the best loadouts if they hope to climb the ranks. 13. There’s nothing quite like carrying a team to victory in Marvel Rivals, only to not get the recognition you deserve with the MVP title. Don’t worry, we’ve all been there. We all see that cool animation for the man of the match, but what about a highlight reel? Much like any other shooter game, Marvel Rivals is taken as seriously as life and death. Egos get bruised, “tank diff” is thrown around, and people start demanding for a Team-Up. But at least we know who helped the team when it mattered most, even if it is Jeff getting a multi-kill by throwing enemies off the map. View the full article
  14. Path of Exile 2 is finally upon us, offering players a unique and fresh take on the aRPG genre that we haven’t seen since the days of Diablo 2. It has six classes available at the moment, with six more to come out as the game continues to be developed. Each class has two Ascendancies, two extra forms on top of the basic one, each with unique effects and abilities. So, here are all the 12 Ascendancies in Path of Exile 2 and how to unlock them. The Marvel Rivals superheroes come with unique cosmetics inspired by their classic comic book and the MCU appearances. However, if you can’t buy these skins because of an issue with Steam, we’ve got you covered. View the full article
  16. There is very little automatous fighting and arguing in The Sims 4. This is because only a few Sims are pre-programmed to dislike, despise, or be true enemies with each other. While tensions are written into family bios, most EA made Sims are friends, acquaintances, or strangers. In past The Sims titles, there were heated rivals, jilted lovers, and all sorts of scheming around town. Reinstating this drama would increase interactions with these households or encourage playing as them. View the full article
  17. You should farm Citlali’s materials in Genshin Impact to ensure you adequately Ascend her and level up her Talents before you start working on her build, thus optimizing the character as a support unit for your team comps. Citlali is a Cryo character introduced with Version 5.3, the same patch that brought forth Mavuika as a playable character in HoYoverse’s action RPG. While Mavuika is a damage dealer, split between operating as a DPS and a sub-DPS, Citlali’s kit in Genshin Impact sees her working as a support capable of providing shields for her party members. 19. Now that we've all had a couple of days to find our main in Marvel Rivals, it's time to get serious. Quick play is no longer your main option as NetEase Games has officially opened the gates to competitive, meaning you can now climb the ranks in the hope of becoming the best of the best. It's not all bragging rights, though, as there's an exclusive skin you can earn by going up the ranked ladder too. Just make sure you've got some good teammates by your side. 20. Grinding Gear Games has nerfed some incredibly overpowered Path of Exile 2 skills, but has been doing it for a good reason. At launch there have been multiple PoE 2 skills that have made almost everything else feel redundant, so to make more builds and abilities viable GGG has had to do some nerfs. These skill nerfs won't be the last we see across the early access launch, either, so I'd be prepared to watch your abnormally strong builds crumble sooner rather than later.
