I am a bit of a Marvel fanboy. I won’t deny that. I consume and enjoy all things Marvel, from movies, to TV shows, to comics, and everything in between. But honestly, I also won’t blindly defend it when there’s an issue with something. For example, many recent MCU projects have been lackluster or just plain bad. I’ll always be emotionally connected to the franchise and its heroes (Spider-Man has been everything to me since I was a boy), but I will call out problematic things when I see them. A recent post on Fortnite's Twitter account suggests that the game could soon see a crossover with Skibidi Toilet, and many players are not happy about it. With so much popularity, some felt it was only a matter of time before Skibidi Toilet came to Fortnite in some fashion. View the full article
It's been confirmed that when Borderlands 4 launches in 2025, it will include split-screen co-op. Split-screen co-op has been a staple of the Borderlands franchise since the original game launched in 2009, but there was never any guarantee that the fan-favorite feature would return in Borderlands 4. The popular internet series, Skibidi Toilet, could be coming to Fortnite soon as a skin. Earlier today rumors began to appear that cosmetics for the Skibidi Toilet meme began to appear online. Leaker SpushFNBR reported on X that a skin for "Plugerman" with a Lego-style Skidbidi backpack, a separate Skibidi Toilet backpack, and a Plungerman Plunger pickaxe will all drop on Fortnite. Now, Epic Games has seemingly confirmed the leak in a series of emojis including a toilet, plunger, and camcorder with the date "12.18.2024" 12.18.2024 — Fortnite (@FortniteGame) December 17, 2024 Skibidi Toilet is from an animated web series created by Alexey Gerasimov for YouTube. Utilizing Valve's Source Filmmaker, Skibidi Toilet tells the story of a war starring toilets with heads coming out of them. The ridiculous series found an audience and have become one of the most popular, and viral, web series online. Fortnite began as a humble, and popular, battle royale, but has exploded in influence thanks to various collaborations in the game that involves bringing popular "skins" into the game. From Spider-Man to Goku, every major pop culture character has appeared in Fortnite at some point. And now, Skibidi Toilet joins these illustrious ranks. Alongside popular skins, Fortnite has iterated by introducing new modes like a Lego crafting mode, and an upcoming FPS mode called Fortnite Ballistic that's similar to games like Counter-Strike and Valorant. Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth director Naoki Hamaguchi has asked fans to please not make inappropriate mods when the role-playing game comes to PC on January 23. Hamaguchi told the Epic Games Store that, while the team has no plans to add official mod support to Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth akin to, for example, Baldur's Gate 3 developer Larian Studios, it does support the creation of mods — so long as they're appropriate. "While the team has no plans for official in game mod support we respect the creativity of the modding community and welcome their creations," Hamaguchi said. "Though we ask modders not to create or install anything offensive or inappropriate." We ask modders not to create or install anything offensive or inappropriate. Mods allow players to create custom content for games, often resulting in incredibly useful gameplay changes such as the ability to play Elden Ring with friends seamlessly, or major additions such as an entire new expansion for Fallout 4. Due to the nature of the internet, however, many mods are also less useful and more, as Hamaguchi said, "offensive or inappropriate." Final Fantasy 16 producer Naoki Yoshida made a similar sentiment ahead of its PC launch, with the series making the multiplatform jump following a disappointing financial quarter at Square Enix. In our 9/10 review of the original PS5 version, IGN said: "Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth impressively builds off of what Remake set in motion, both as a best-in-class action-RPG full of exciting challenges and an awe-inspiring recreation of a world that has meant so much to so many for so long." Masayuki Kato, the founder and former president of Ys and Legend of Heroes developer Nihon Falcom, died on Sunday, December 15 at the age of 78, according to an announcement from the company today. Kato got his start as a computer technician working in the auto industry, but fell in love with personal computers and their capacity for games and entertainment. He founded Nihon Falcom in 1981 originally to publish games for Japanese personal computers in partnership with Apple, making Nihon one of the oldest video game companies still in existance today. He named his company after the Millenium Falcon from Star Wars, but with a "com" at the end for computers. The founder of Nihon Falcom, Masayuki Kato, passed away on December 15, 2024 at the age of 78. Thank you for everything. May you rest in peace... [Hidden Content] [Hidden Content] — Brad (@Baust528) December 17, 2024 Over time, Nihon Falcom under Kato's leadership became known as one of the pioneers of the action-RPG genre, beginning with Panorama Toh in 1983, Dragon Slayer in 1984, and Xanadu in 1985. Nihon Falcom gradually became a full-fledged developer in its own right, creating long-running series such as Ys and The Legend of Heroes. The studio continued to stay in the lane of Japanese PC games for the first two decades of its history. But that changed in the early 2000s, when Nihon Falcom began working with PlayStation to bring games such as Ys I & II Complete and The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky to PlayStation devices such as the PS2 and PSP. Ever since then, the company has continued to release action RPGs cross-platform and globally with some third-party support, even more recently expanding to Nintendo platform releases. Kato stepped down from his role as president of Nihon Falcom in 2001 as part of a larger restructure, and was succeeded by Shinji Yamazaki and, later on, the current president Toshihiro Kondo. Kato remained involved with the company as chairman of the board of directors until his death. He is credited as a producer on a number of more recent Ys and The Legend of Heroes games, including the company's most recent global release, Ys X: Nordics. Rumors have suggested that Nvidia will be taking the wraps off of some next-generation RTX 50-series graphics cards at CES in January. And as we get closer to that date, Nvidia's partners and some of the PC makers have begun to inadvertently leak details of the cards. According to recent leaks from both Zotac and Acer, it looks like Nvidia is planning to announce four new GPUs next month, all at the high end of its lineup: The RTX 5090, RTX 5080, RTX 5070 Ti, and RTX 5070 were all briefly listed on Zotac's website, as spotted by VideoCardz. There's also an RTX 5090D variant for the ******** market, which will presumably have its specs tweaked to conform with current US export restrictions on high-performance GPUs. Though the website leak didn't confirm many specs, it did list the RTX 5090 as including 32GB of GDDR7, an upgrade from the 4090's 24GB of GDDR6X. An Acer spec sheet for new Predator Orion desktops also lists 32GB of GDDR7 for the 4090, as well as 16GB of GDDR7 for the RTX 5080. This is the same amount of RAM included with the RTX 4080 and 4080 Super. Read full article Comments View the full article

As someone who has played Overwatch since the beta in 2016, I find Marvel Rivals elicits many of the feelings we got from launch-state Overwatch. While the Marvel IP and Overwatch‘s game philosophy have already done a lot of hard work for the Marvel Rivals team, several changes, upgrades, and innovations set the game apart and allow it to stand on its own two feet. 10 reasons Marvel Rivals is better than Overwatch 1) Dynamic stages Destructible buildings in Marvel Rivals. Screenshot via Dot Esports One of the most charming aspects of Marvel Rivals is how much personality each stage has as you play through different objectives, sections, and levels. The objective is usually tied to the game’s lore, and several maps will have both destructible and interactive environments. The destructible environments aren’t just cosmetic, as they can open new paths, create doors and level entire buildings. Meanwhile, other maps have mechanics like angering the Panther gods or moving walls that make the stages feel alive and important rather than being just another environment to hash out team fights on. Despite the 500 hours of playtime I've accrued over the years, I've always been a pretty casual Path of Exile player. In PoE, 500 hours is rookie numbers: The infamous sprawl of its passive skill tree and labyrinthine gear crafting mechanics still border on the unfathomable to me.
