I played myriad games in my extensive time off over Christmas. I spent my New Year's Eve playing League of Legends with friends, explored the vast expanses of Faerûn in Baldur's Gate 3, and fell in love with the chaotic, dystopian universe of Cyberpunk 2077 all over again. But I also whiled away the winter hours on Supervive, not quite working up the courage to dive into ranked, but finally getting my Myth gameplay to a place that feels not awful. Coming into 2025, however, Supervive Season Zero has just dropped, and it brings with it adorable new hero Beebo and the mysterious Warped Items. Looks like I'll be diving back in. Someone deep in the bowels of the internet once betwittered that Dark Souls was "the My Summer Car of RPGs". The joke stuck with me enough to try the car mechanic sim when it was released into early access back in 2016. I didn't know it would take another nine years to bring this ambitiously hostile Finnish life simulator to a full release. But here it is. It's now been a whole month since Delta Force kicked off its early access open beta on Steam, and the free-to-play shooter has been doing rather well for itself. Its constant stream of content and events, variety of game modes, and tight gunplay has kept people coming back for more. One aspect that's always baffled me though is its weekly EXP cap, which limits how much progress you can make on Delta Force's season pass to unlock its rewards. Well, Delta Force is now removing this limit to let you grind to your heart's content, but there's a catch - this isn't a permanent removal, and will only last for the next couple of weeks until the new season begins. The Witcher 3 turns 10 this year—in just a few months, even—and it sure doesn't feel like it's that old. Even as a primary melee hero, like Magick or ****** Panther, your quick melee attack may be significantly faster than your standard abilities, giving you an important speed advantage. I got much RSI of the thumbs playing this on the go (especially using the “portable only” fighter additions of Yun, Eagle, Ingrid, and Maki).
