  1. The recently released Magic: The Gathering card, Phelia, Exuberant Shepherd is spiking in price, going from $2.10 one month ago to $5.60 today. Though it's still pretty affordable right now, this price spike may just be heating up, as the card is seeing increased play in more than one top Modern deck. Read the rest of the story... 2. Keeping up with the Assassin's Creed series is a tall order, but it's one that I frequently get the urge to follow. While I haven't played all the games, I've parkoured my way through a lot, from entering the series with the iconic Assassin's Creed 2 to trying out more sidelined titles like the PS Vita spin-off Assassin's Creed 3: Liberation. I've started to fatigue with the scale of the modern open-world games, but after spending some time with Assassin's Creed Shadows at a hands-on preview event, I think it might just have the hook to get me excited again. 3. There are plenty of reasons to be enthusiastic about GTA 6. It's the first new Grand Theft Auto in over a decade, it (presumably) completes the trilogy that began with the brilliant GTA 4, and it marks a return to Vice City. Nevertheless, I wish Rockstar had given a little more time to Red Dead Redemption 2. Barring Max Payne 3, Manhunt, and the very first GTA, it's the studio's greatest game, but Red Dead Online never got a lot of love, and the world of Arthur Morgan and company was abandoned by its creator prematurely. Clearly, people had the appetite for more RDR 2 - some six years since it was released, the open-world cowboy odyssey is more popular than ever on Steam, and available for the lowest price ever. 5. The Aeldari Fire Dragons Aspect Warriors have a strong claim to be the most effective anti-tank and monster-killing unit in all of Warhammer 40,000. While their role has always been to hunt tanks and big gribblies with their high damage fusion weaponry, they're looking scarier than ever thanks to changes to their rules - and rules for the Aeldari army as a whole - coming in the new codex. 7. League of Legends’ fiery yordle Rumble is taking some time away from Summoner’s Rift because Riot Games is working to fix a game-breaking exploit that allows the champion to spawn infinite Rift Heralds on the map. League’s Noxus-based season has seen the rise of many niche champion picks in esports due to Fearless drafts, such as Elise support and many more. But the Mechanized Menace’s win rate is soaring, and it’s not just because of his good performances but an exploit that many players have been abusing in ranked matches. View the full article

  11. If you've waited patiently for a bargain on a brand new OLED gaming laptop, now's your chance. This OLED gaming laptop deal is the perfect upgrade for gamers, allowing you to save a whopping $500 on the cost of an Asus ROG Zephyrus G14, which is now going for just $1,099.99 on Best Buy. This particular Asus laptop has the same build, if a slightly different spec, to one we tested in our Asus ROG Zephyrus G14 2024 review, which we argued was one of best gaming laptop builds you can buy. Our opinion hasn't changed, either, with the stunning display and premium chassis making this machine a fantastic portable gaming rig. Read the rest of the story... Assassin's Creed Valhalla made combat heavier and tougher thanks to its weighty Viking axes. 14. Even though the game includes plenty of weekly, daily, and story quests every season, Fortnite players have been trying a challenge of their own. The no-gun challenge may be the toughest Fortnite trend yet. The basic premise of the zero gun, or zero weapon, challenge is to win a Victory Royale in Fortnite OG while using no damage-dealing weapons. So this means no gun, no rocket launcher, and no grenades allowed. As the challenge is player-made, the details differ depending on where they first heard about it. 15. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. That mantra could apply to horde shooters in general—demonstrating through games like Helldivers 2 and Deep Rock Galactic that mowing down thousands of something will always be cool—as easily as it could apply to Orcs Must Die, a series which spent the last decade content to reprise its novel blend of tower defense and third person shooting with steely consistency. Trends come and go, industries shift and change, but orcs? Orcs must die, and that’s just not the sort of thing you mess with... Read more.View the full article

  17. Diablo 4’s Season of Witchcraft has seen many older classes receive much-needed buffs while balancing more powerful classes. The Spiritborn received several notable balances, leading to most of their builds getting nerfed. But one build still stands above the rest, and this is how it works. Screenshot by Dot Esports The Spiritborn was undeniably the ruler of season six. Every build’s damage numbers would spike towards the endgame and the class had very little trouble clearing all kinds of content. While most of the builds are still relevant, not all of them are as powerful as they once were. However, the Quill Volley build is still performing well in the Season of Witchcraft. 20. The ancient Aeldari were once the masters of the galaxy, their star-spanning empire eclipsed only by their own ambitions and hubris. 21. Pogs are something I never consciously think about until something reminds me of Pogs, at which time I am instantly very excited about Pogs. The latest reminder being Snow Town Geek Store, a shopkeeping sim brimming with 2000's non-tude. Like the 2000's themselves, it feels both alive with promise and liable to turn bad at any moment. But I do very much enjoy both its energy and soundtrack, based on what little information is currently available. A tray-tray for you, the discerning tray-tray viewer: Read more View the full article
  22. Moon Knight has been a thorn in the side of Marvel Rivals players throughout season one, and players think they’ve identified a bug that may explain why he is so problematic. I know some of you are old enough to know what a letter opener is, or even to own one. Statistically, most of the RPS readership are Lich Lords. The Maw letter opener differs from regular letter openers in that when you open a letter with it, you will encounter not a letter but a perfect copy of yourself opening a letter in the opposite direction. The two of you must now fight to the death to decide who is the letter-opener and who is the letter. It's yours for a piffling three pints of any available body fluid, but if you don't want to buy a letter opener you can always buy one of this week's new PC games instead.
