In a call with investors, the company said that the first RX 9070 series GPUs will launch in "early March," while an unconfirmed rumor has separately pointed to March 6 as the launch date. These new AMD graphics cards look set to challenge the best graphics cards in the middle ground, with RX 9070 XT performance rumors placing the new card close to last-gen Nvidia GPUs, such as the RTX 4070 Ti, and potentially rivaling the RTX 5070 once that particular card launches later in February. 4. The map in Hello Kitty Island Adventure is absolutely massive, filled with nooks and crannies to explore that hold secrets waiting to be discovered. The initial map is expansive enough, but there are also new areas to unlock as you progress. Merry Meadow is one of these new areas, which can only be unlocked as you progress into the mid-game stages. It’s filled with secrets, new resources, and a lot of plots where you will eventually be able to plant and breed flowers. If you want to know how to find this lush, floral area and unlock its full potential, keep reading. How to unlock Merry Meadow in Hello Kitty Island Adventure Screenshot by Destructoid All quests in Island Adventure are hidden behind friendship levels and connected to multiple different characters. Unlocking Merry Meadow is no different, and it will only be possible once you’ve completed the following steps: Complete the “Power Up the Gate” quest Reach friendship level 4 with Pompompurin Complete the “Dessert-ed Boat” quest Reach friendship level 11 with My Melody Complete the “Revive the Oasis” quest Once you’ve done all that, you’ll need to wait one real-life day after completing the "Revive the Oasis" quest. When you enter Island Adventure the next day, you’ll have a new quest available to complete with Pompompurin called “Curious Caverns.” He’s noticed that the waterfall opened up in the previous “Revive the Oasis” quest has knocked some stones loose, and he wants them removed as they’re unstable. There is only a single rock to remove using your Pickaxe, in the location marked below: Screenshot by Destructoid Once this rock is removed, you’ll gain access to Merry Meadow. To gain access to the higher areas, including the Greenhouse on the Overlook, you’ll need to find and plant Giant Seeds in the large patches of dirt located close to cliff faces (pictured above). You’ll then need to water these Giant Seeds over three real-life days, which requires a Watering Can. To get one, you’ll need to reach level 14 friendship with My Melody and complete her “Crystal Vay-Cay” quest. Once you’ve grown the first Giant Seeds into a Beanstalk, you can climb it to reach the next level of Merry Meadow. Up here, there’ll be another seed to find and plant, beginning the three-day cycle over again. There are a total of four Giant Seeds to find and cultivate, meaning that the process of unlocking Merry Meadow in its entirety will take 12 days. 6. Gaijin Entertainment's War Thunder is usually in the news for one repeated reason: The people who play this military simulator take it incredibly seriously, and have a habit of leaking classified information onto the game's forums in an effort to win Internet arguments. 9. I'm a Doctor Strange main in Marvel Rivals. He's easily one of the most versatile tanks in the game, with a huge Reinhardt-style shield, mid-range magical flurries, and the ability to make a quick getaway with his levitation skill. But Strange also has the portal, which is by far the best part of his kit and one of the most technically impressive aspects of the entire superhero shooter. Turns out they were a bit of a nightmare for NetEase Games to implement, but I'm glad the team did. Read the rest of the story... 11. To begin the Missing Clues section of the Blast from the Past event in The Sims 4, you need to learn more about the strange mystery that’s unfolding. The first step in doing so is to refresh your memory in The Sims archives. The way this task is worded might have you running to a bookshelf or trying to search for information through the Web tab on the computer. Neither of these options is right, though, and the way you go about conducting this research likely isn’t how you’d expect. 13. Steam is now warning players about early access games if they haven't received any recent updates. Early access is a controversial topic in the gaming community, with proponents citing how it helps ensure indie titles with fewer resources eventually meet player expectations, but critics pointing out how many games never make it to a full release. Valve is well aware of this controversy, so now Steam users can get more clarity on early access games before deciding to try them out. View the full article

  16. Sometimes it’s the smallest things that can have the biggest impact. Innuendo aside – this isn’t the Attitude Era, after all – there are times where the new entry in an annual video game series can make a big fanfare about major new modes and features, when in reality it’s a slight tweak to the actual gameplay that can make all the difference to returning players. This isn’t always a good thing, as EA just discovered when its gameplay tweaks to EA FC 25 led to hefty player backlash, followed by an abruptly released ‘Gameplay Refresh Update’ that attempted to bandage the wound. 17. On Feb. 4, FlyQuest and Cloud9 became the first tier-one League of Legends teams to stream their scrims in many years. But while it was a positive start, there is a lot to be done to prevent streaming scrims from turning into another champions ****** disaster. After multiple teams made their voices heard during the opening two weeks of the {LINK REMOVED}LTA, commissioner Mark Zimmerman announced that a temporary policy has been put in place, allowing teams to scream their scrims. Traditionally, LoL scrims have been played behind closed doors with teams wanting to reveal little-to-no information on the champions they have been practicing. But now, the shackles are off, and it’s up to the teams to make the magic. View the full article

For those who don’t want to focus on getting a job, there’s the opportunity to track down Tomcat, a nomad who knows how to use a sword. You hear about Tomcat shortly after you learn that you have to get work from the Blacksmith, Radovan, or the Miller, Kreyzl. These two can help you with the main quest to get access to the wedding, but before that, Tomcat can show you how to use a sword, giving you an edge in combat if you want to become more fearsome against bandits, raiders, or others who think they can push you around. Here’s what you need to know about how to find Tomcat in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, and how to beat him. View the full article

  20. If you thought yesterday’s three-word LoLdle quote was tough, think again. Today’s puzzle is even shorter, giving League of Legends fans a whopping two words: “Night approaches.” The quote is relatively vague, too. Considering a decent chunk of League’s champions are edge lords who love the dark, narrowing this one down is a doozy. At first, I expected the answer to be Nocturne, since he’s the embodiment of nightmares. But that proved to be incorrect, leaving me scratching my head as I skimmed through the list of all 170 League champions. Once I figured it out, though, it made a lot more sense than first glance. An online petition seeking to “prohibit publishers irrevocably disabling video games they have already sold” without giving consumers the option to retain or repair them recently gained 10,000 signatures, which is the amount required to receive an official response from the *** government. While it acknowledged the concerns expressed in the petition and said it would continue to monitor the situation, the government essentially suggested existing regulations offer sufficient consumer protection.
