  4. Coatsink have announced a sequel to Islanders, their pastelcore seaside town-arranger, which was the last game Alec Meer ever reviewed for RPS. Until he reviewed Kentucky Route Zero: Act V, a year or so later. If I didn't know better, I'd say Alec had planned that deliberately to ****** me up. But I'll forgive him because the KRZ review is very good and thoughtful, and also because the first trailer for Islanders: New Shores is extremely calming. Here you go. 9. Part of Fortnite's fun is hopping into any match and jamming out using your favorite instruments. If you like playing the drums, there are jam tracks that'll match the vibe. If you're a guitarist, there are options there, too. Let's find out how to jam at a Named Location. Table of contentsHow to jam at a Named Location in FortniteHow to emote in FortniteHow to unlock more Jam Tracks in Fortnite How to jam at a Named Location in Fortnite Jamming out at a named location requires visiting any spot on your Fortnite map that has a name before opening your emote wheel and scrolling through your options until you find your jam loops. Pick any you have unlocked and choose an instrument to play your chosen song. Screenshot by Destructoid Jam objectives in Fortnite vary depending on the week, season, and event. For example, during Fortnite's Cowboy Bebop collaborative event, you have to jam out for five seconds at any named location. It doesn't matter if you go to Seaport City, Flooded Frogs, or Outlaw Oasis, as long as it's a named POI. However, this isn't always the case, especially if the task asks you to visit a particular spot. Previous weekly quests have asked you to visit specific locations, as we saw during Fortnite Chapter 5, Season 2's weekly missions. During this, you had to jam out at Restored Reels and Slumberyard's dance floor, two locations that are no longer available. Even though these spots aren't in the game anymore, the ones that do currently exist may appear as a jam task in the future. How to emote in Fortnite You can open your emote menu and play jam tracks by pressing B on keyboard, Down Arrow on console, or the Emote button on mobile. From here, you can cycle through the menus until you reach Jam Tracks, giving you a list of every track you've unlocked so far. The songs you use are entirely up to you unless your current quest asks for a specific one. How to unlock more Jam Tracks in Fortnite The easiest way to unlock more jam tracks in Fortnite is to purchase the game's Music Pass, Battle Pass, or the Item Shop's Music Moments options. These all require V-Bucks or real money to obtain, but at least you'll have a bunch to use during your matches. Alternatively, you can get free jam tracks by progressing in limited-time events and collecting their rewards. Although not every event has jam tracks as rewards, you'll occasionally spot them as options alongside loading screen images, pickaxes, gliders, and other items. 11. Developer of Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2, Saber Interactive, responded to accusations that it’s trying to turn the title into a live-service game and using shady psychological tactics to hook players to its game through events, telling players to “rest assured” it won’t be doing any such things. “We have noted that the Community Events have received cold feedback,” the developers said in a Feb. 27 post on the Focus forums, adding that they were aware of players mentioning FOMO (fear of missing out) in their responses. “Rest assured, we are not looking to transform Space Marine 2 into a full live service game,” the devs continued. According to the post, all players will have access to the time-limited event rewards down the line. View the full article

Assassin's Creed Shadows has had a tumultuous few months, with Ubisoft coming under fire for content in the game, its marketing, and the numerous delays that have pushed the game's release date all the way into March 2025. 21. Running a business is difficult, but overseeing the operation of a factory on a treacherous alien planet is nearly impossible. Satisfactory is a first-person base-builder, where your task is to research and develop alien planet Massage-2(AB)b for FICSIT Inc. as a part of Project Assembly. The bases you build in the game are factories that allow you to mine the planet's resources, refine them, and send them back to FICSIT through the space elevator. Explore the game's open-world map for mining locations guarded by local wildlife and power your machinery with a biomass generator using the planet's flora. Upgrade from a small factory operation into a massive, sprawling plant that expands through Satisfactory's four unique biomes. While Satisfactory's base gameplay loop provides a nearly limitless experience for its players, there's an option that gives you greater control over the game if you desire. Through console commands, players can alter in-game settings and become privy to information they couldn't know otherwise. 22. Clone Hero streamer and content creator CarnyJared has completed a full combo (FC) for DragonForce’s infamous Guitar Hero 3 song Through the Fire and Flames — at 200% speed. The streamer's description of the event says it all: “IT. IS. OVER.” Posted yesterday, February 27, is recorded evidence of the unbelievable feat and world record CarnyJared managed to pull off while streaming. As he launches into his final, successful attempt at hitting all 3,722 notes without missing a beat, on-screen text reminds viewers that this grand finale is the result of nine months of practicing. “I am rightfully thankful for everybody that has supported me throughout this ridiculous grind. I have the best supporters on the entire platform of Twitch and YouTube,” CarnyJared explains in the video’s description. “We all spent an unfathomable amount of time staring at the same 3,722 notes, figuring out any possible way to hit them more efficiently. Somehow it worked out, and somehow I am able to sit in front of this computer which you have all cumulatively provided to me, and make a living playing Clone Hero.” IT’S OVER 9 MONTH GRIND THROUGH THE FIRE & FLAMES (200% SPEED) FULL COMBO [Hidden Content] — CarnyJared (@CarnyJared) February 27, 2025 Through the Fire and Flames running at regular speed can be a lot to process for the untrained eye, so watching CarnyJared blaze through the song at 200% speed feels completely incomprehensible. There’s not much else to say; FCing a seven-and-a-half-minute song in just over three minutes is extremely impressive. Achieving an FC on the open-source Guitar Hero-like known as Clone Hero requires playing a song in its entirety without missing a single note. On-screen stats in the streamer’s video reveal that he’s reached nearly 2,000 FC runs past the song's first bridge, only 662 past its second bridge, and 227 to its solo section. The Through the Fire and Flames 200% FC you see today marks only the fourth time CarnyJared has managed to pass the solo. This is a moment that will live with me forever. “I am blessed every single day to wake up and have food in the kitchen, and a place to sleep because of you amazing group of people,” CarnyJared adds. “And I also thank my family, who has not only supported me my whole life, but they all specifically watched and supported this entire grind at my lowest and highest points. This is a moment that will live with me forever.” He called the Through the Fire and Flames 200% FC the “hardest thing” he’s ever done in his life, so the celebration that follows his successful run tracks with the effort he’s put into completing it throughout the last nine months. For those interested in seeing how such an inhuman achievement can be accomplished in the world of Guitar Hero and Clone Hero, CarnyJared teased that fans can expect a “1 hour+” documentary in the next few months. #CarnyJared CarnyJared full combos Through The Fire and Flames on 200% speed [Hidden Content] — Livestream Fails (@LSF_Forwarder) February 27, 2025 For more on how the Guitar Hero community is keeping the game alive, you can watch music game streamer Acai test out CRKD’s new guitar controller in Fortnite Festival as part of IGN Fan Fest 2025.
