Mydei is a 5-star character who deals Imaginary DMG and follows the Path of the Destruction. As is the case with most units on this Path, Mydei is specialized in dealing damage and sustaining himself through battles. However, he has a particular mechanic. Mydei’s kit in Honkai: Star Rail sees him consume his own HP at alarming rates to enhance his damage output against opponents. 7. Following in the footsteps of It Takes Two's success, developer Hazelight Studios is releasing Split Fiction, another convention-defying co-op game. 8. Despite reports of bountiful supply for the AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT, all the stock has now disappeared, and a quick search on Ebay will show you where a fair bit of it ended up. Not content with exploiting buyers of Nvidia GeForce RTX 5000 GPUs, scalpers have now also turned to the new AMD GPUs, demanding prices of well over $1,000 for the new $599 GPU. It's no surprise that demand is incredibly high for these new AMD GPUs. As we found in our Radeon RX 9070 XT review, AMD has a killer graphics card on its hands, with fantastic gaming performance for a very reasonable price. The problem is that this price is now all but nominal, with new Ebay listings charging as much as $1,499.99 for an Asus Prime 9070 XT card. Read the rest of the story... 10. The long-awaited roguelike, deckbuilder, and card-based strategy game The Bazaar is finally available to play for free via its first-ever open beta. However, long-time fans of the could-be Teamfight Tactics and Slay The Spire rival have criticized its new in-game purchases and monetization methods, as they seemingly contradict descriptions of The Bazaar previously published by developer Tempo and its CEO and founder Andrey 'Reynad' Yanyuk. Replying to these criticisms, Yanyuk says that the in-game purchases do not create a pay-to-win dynamic, that some player feedback is "dramatized fearmongering," and that the response to The Bazaar's new monetization and patch is "a great exercise in showing why we [Tempo] should communicate less." 16. Back in October 2023, former Bullfrog chappie and Fable developer Dene Carter sidled up out of nowhere and released Moonring, a terrific open world RPG in the Ultima tradition of top-down, tile-based bump-attacking. It had crisp neon sprites floating on seas of arcade cabinet ******, an enticing mythology, elusive magic systems, procedural dungeons and dialogue based on remembering or deducing keywords. All this for free - statistically my second favourite price tag after the developer actually paying me to play the game. Which does not happen as often as you might think, you tinfoil hat-wearing scalliwags. Now, Moonring has some DLC. It's called Moonring DLX and consists of the Egg, a 100 floor megadungeon "with the vague promise of a silly boss and a prize". Yes, the dungeon looks like an egg. Unlike Moonring and like most eggs, the Egg costs money - $4.99, €4.99 or £4.29. Read more View the full article
  17. Trying to run Monster Hunter Wilds on the Steam Deck is a futile endeavour, as is trying to run it on any other PC hardware that might variously be called cheap, old, or otherwise low-end. However, today’s arrival of the beast-stabbin’, consent-grantin’ RPG on Nvidia’s GeForce Now streaming platform does enable a sort of bodged alternative: a way to play Wilds on this most modest of handhelds, potentially at a sturdy 60fps. 19. After a quiet year beneath the waves, The Sinking City 2 has resurfaced with a brand new trailer and an official Kickstarter campaign launch. Exactly one year after its announcement, the new trailer for The Sinking City 2 gives us our first look at pre-alpha gameplay and the expected focus on Lovecraftian horror first, with survival, and investigation gameplay mixed in that developer Frogwares is embracing as its signature style. The team has also published a developer deep dive with a more detailed look at what the team is planning for combat, exploration, and optional investigation. Alongside these trailers, Frogwares has launched a Kickstarter today to help get the game over the finish line. In a statement, CEO Wael Amr explained that the Kickstarter funding was necessary due to the ongoing war in Ukraine: After 3 years of this horrid war hanging over our daily lives, we've learned to adapt, though it has never been easy. In 2023 when we released Sherlock Holmes The Awakened with the help of Kickstarter and our loving fans, we built ourselves a safety net that saved us more than once. From power outages and the need for team members to relocate on short notice, to having to pause development for days, this safety net was crucial. Given that The Sinking City 2 is a far more complex and demanding game, we’ve decided to take the same route as before. Frogwares has faced numerous challenges over the years in its work on both the original The Sinking City, and now its sequel. In addition to the immense challenges of developing games during wartime, Frogwares was locked in a publishing rights struggle over the first The Sinking City with original PC publisher Nacon that resulted in the game being pulled from some platforms back in 2020. Fortunately, Frogwares won full publishing rights last year, and announced it had settled its disputes. The {LINK REMOVED}Kickstarter for The Sinking City 2 is live now, with a target of $105,000 USD. Rebekah Valentine is a senior reporter for IGN. 23. A health bar mod for Monster Hunter Wilds is gaining in popularity, despite being completely unnecessary. Developed by GreenComfyTea on Nexus Mods, who previously worked on a similar project for Monster Hunter Rise, the mod simply adds a series of HP bars along the bottom of the screen, representing every monster in the region's well-being as a percentage out of 100. At the time of writing, it has over 9,000 unique downloads - hardly making Nexus' front page, but still undeniably popular. View the full article
