  2. If you're a fan of gruff blokes punching goons and putting the pedal to the metal in muscle cars, Samson looks like it'll be up your alley. It's the debut game of Liquid Swords, the Swedish studio founded by former Just Cause and Mad Max developer Christofer Sundberg, and mirrors the gritty open-world destructive mayhem both of those are known for. 3. Disney Dreamlight Valley absolutely loves setting you quests that require you to wait. 4. Actor Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa, who played Shang Tsung in the original Mortal Kombat movie as well as video game Mortal Kombat 11, has died aged 75. The star of The Last Emperor, Memoirs of a Geisha, and The Man in the High Castle, died Thursday in Santa Barbara due to complications from a stroke, Deadline reported. Tagawa famously played evil sorcerer Shang Tsung in the 1995 adaptation of the Mortal Kombat video game, becoming an instantly recognizable face for an army of fans. In the movie, Shang Tsung points to a helpless Liu Kang while holding his brother, Chan hostage, and declares: "your brother's soul is mine!" Tagawa would go on to make his 'Your soul is mine!' line an iconic part of Shang Tsung lore, and it has endured in the 30 years since. After the original Mortal Kombat movie, Tagawa went on to play Shang Tsung multiple times, including in 2019’s Mortal Kombat 11, where his voice and physical likeness was used — much to the delight of fans. Other film roles included Kwang in James Bond movie Licence to Kill, Commander Minoru Genda in Pearl Harbor, and Heihachi Mishima in the 2009 Tekken movie and its 2014 sequel, Tekken 2: Kazuya's Revenge. Tagawa’s last major role came in 2015, when he played one of the lead characters in Amazon’s The Man in the High Castle. His final role was voicing Eiji the Swordmaker in Season 1 of Netflix’s well-received animated Blue Eye Samurai. Ed Boon, development chief at Mortal Kombat studio NetherRealm, paid tribute to Tagawa in a post on social media. “We lost a legend today,” he said. “We had the privilege of his portrayal on the first MK film but also as an amazing voice actor in the Mortal Kombat 11 game. Cary was one of a kind. He combined danger, swagger and athleticism to his roles and will always be remembered as the man who first brought Shang Tsung to life on film. Rest in Peace. Your soul is eternal.” Todd Garner, producer on the 2021 Mortal Kombat movie as well as its upcoming sequel, also took to social media, saying: "Sad news. Great man. Great actor. He will be missed." We lost a legend today. Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa @CHTOfficial played Shang Tsung in the 1995 Mortal Kombat film and sadly passed away at age 75. 7. The pattern of Ol' Tessie upgrades continues in ****** Ops 7 Zombies Astra Malorum map, and you can upgrade your vehicle with a DG-2 Turret. The process of obtaining this upgrade is relatively simple, but separate from the main easter egg. That said, it's a great upgrade, and this guide will list all the steps. You'll also solve an additional music easter egg along the way. ****** Ops 7 Zombies Astra Malorum DG-2 Turret upgrade location Finding the DG-2 Turret will take some time, based on which doors you open first. The correct location is where you can find the Wisp Tea perk. When you reach the location, you'll find a planet in front of you, along with a set of asteroids. Screenshot by Destructoid Target the floating asteroid with an explosive. Ideally, you can use either a Semtex or a frag grenade for the best results. If you have zombies around you, you'll want to clear them first. Once you hit the floating asteroid with an explosive, wait for a few seconds. The asteroid will float in space and come close to you. Sprint and jump to reach the asteroid. Once you land on the asteroid, you'll start to float in space. It will also start playing the Pareidolia song. The asteroid will also float and bring you close to obtaining the DG-2 turre upgrade. Screenshot by Destructoid Once you obtain the upgrade, you can then install it on Ol' Tessie. This easter egg also solves the Paraidolia song puzzle. Of course, there are plenty of other secrets to unlock in the Astra Malorum map. There's a new Wonder Weapon in the form of the LGM-1, and it's part of the main quest. There's the main music easter egg to solve as well, which requires you to find three Mister Peeks headphones. Finally, you can also find missing discs at different locations to play the Alpha Omega Game Over track. 11. Octopath Traveler 0 is full of quests, but most of them have some sort of marker that shows you where to go or who to talk to. But some side quests, like Books Overdue, don’t offer any sort of guidance, meaning you’re going to have to roll up your sleeves and figure it out for yourself. A librarian named Mercedes gives you this quest in the Atlasdam library, and she’s looking for three overdue books: Healing Hot Springs, The King and the Golden Dust, and Adrift in the Vast River. Apparently, these three tomes have been loaned out to people from all around Orsterra, so you’re going to need to put in a bit of legwork to collect them all. There's a bit of a problem, however: The game won’t tell you who borrowed these books or where to find them. Luckily, though, there are a few clues as to these NPCs' whereabouts in the books’ titles. If you're struggling finding them, we've got you covered. Here’s where to find the three books in the Books Overdue side quest in Octopath Traveler 0. Table of contentsHealing Hot SpringsThe King and the Golden DustAdrift in the Vast RiverReward for completing Books OverdueHealing Hot Springs Hope you can handle the heat. Screenshot by Destructoid The person who borrowed this book apparently likes the heat, and what's hotter than Berecain, the town that's built inside a volcano? To find Healing Hot Springs, you're going to need to make the trek down to this southern town and head towards the save point. Nearby will be a man wearing a suit standing dangerously on an overhang. Unlike all the other NPCs in the town, you can actually talk to this one. Use your Path Actions on him, and you'll be able to view his inventory and take Healing Hot Springs from him using Entreat. The King and the Golden Dust This Kindly Millionaire has the book we need in his inventory. Screenshot by Destructoid For the second book, The King and the Golden Dust, you'll need to head south to Sulfrataljah. Like the first book, all you'll need to do is speak to an NPC to receive the item. Head to the stairs to the right of the tavern and look for a man immediately to the right at the top of the stairs. This NPC, named Kindly Millionaire, has the book in his inventory, and you'll be able to "purchase" it from him for 0 Leaves. Don't you just love free things? Adrift in the Vast River Last but not least: Adrift in the Vast River. Unfortunately, this one isn't as simple to find as the other two. Head to the closest resident house once you've arrived in Donescu. Screenshot by Destructoid Speak to the man inside to get the book. Screenshot by Destructoid You can find the man who borrowed this book in Donescu, in the first house closest to the gate, just down the two stone staircases below the pub. The man inside the house tells you he borrowed the book a while ago but lost it when he was attacked by lizardmen somewhere near Misty Falls. So, of course, that means you now have to go recover it. Luckily, Misty Falls isn’t far. Head out the gate to the Donescu Traverse and then travel to the closest cave. Open your local map and you'll see an exclamation mark to the left of the southeastern chest. I’ve marked the location on the map below to help you find it. Make your way to this location and look for a sparkling Collection Point on the ground. Interact with the spot on the ground, and Adrift in the Vast River will automatically appear in your inventory. Head to the bottom of the cavern. Screenshot by Destructoid Look for the sparkling blue Collection Point. Screenshot by Destructoid Reward for completing Books Overdue Now that you have all three books, it's time to head back to Mercedes at Atlasdam and pick up your reward. She'll give you a whopping 16,000 Leaves—a surprising amount for a librarian who seemingly doesn't collect overdue fees. 12. The Astra Malorum map in ****** Ops 7 Zombies seems to have plenty of musical easter eggs, and one of them involves finding the Alpha Omega Game Over song. Separate from the main musical easter egg for the map, the Alpha Omega Game Over song is simpler to obtain. This guide will list all the steps you need to complete to play the song. How to play the Alpha Omega Game Over song in ****** Ops 7 Zombies Unlike the main musical easter egg, where you have to find three Mister Peeks headphones, this one is a lot easier. You'll come across three discs spread across various locations. You can find any one of the three, so the one you choose doesn't matter. Screenshot by Destructoid Go to Machina Astralis, and you'll find one in a box on the middle floor. It will take you a bit to find the box since the area is very dark.An additional disc can also be found on the shelf in the Luminarium. You can also find a Mister Peeks in a nearby location. Screenshot by Destructoid There's also one found to the left of the crafting bench. You can get the disc from a pillar on the wall. I didn't have to depend on this one, but it could be of use to you. Once at least one disc is found, head to the Luminarium. Inside, you'll find a gramophone. Play the disc on it, and you'll be able to play the Alpha Omega Game Over song. Screenshot by Destructoid The gramophone I used can be found to the right of the exit in the Luminarium. You can interact with it to put a disc and play the Alpha Omega song. I believe that this is part of a teaser for an upcoming DLC. Do note that you won't get an interact option when you're near the discs or the gramophone. Get close and press the interact button to get the job done. We also have a detailed guide on solving the main musical easter egg in Astra Malorum. There's also a new Wonder Weapon in the form of LGM-1 that you can find to do maximum damage.
