Snake Eater Is Coming to Multiple Platforms but Keeps Xbox in the Dark about Its Bonus Content
The jungle is calling and players are ready to answer. The long-awaited remake, Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, is officially launching on August 28, 2025, and fans can’t wait to camouflage themselves in nostalgia. Powered by UE5, the remake promises to deliver an immersive experience.

Konami is once again ready to breathe new life into the lush jungles and intense survival mechanics that made the original legendary. However, while the game is set to launch across multiple platforms, it looks like Xbox players are getting the short end of the stick, at least for now.
Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater reborn in Unreal Engine 5
For years, players have been itching to step back into Snake’s shoes to relive some of the legendary stealth missions. And from the looks of it, they have never looked this good. Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater isn’t just a remake, it’s a full-blown next-gen transformation.
With Unreal Engine 5 at the helm, lighting, shadows, and character animations have been completely reworked, offering a modernized yet faithful recreation of the original game’s atmosphere.
Now, players will feel the dense jungle around them, hear enemies creeping through the underbrush, and experience the tension of stealth-based combat in a way that was never possible before.
While this remake is shaping up to be an exciting return to Snake’s legendary mission, one disappointing detail stands out: Xbox players might find themselves missing out on the bonus content.
In the promotional material, it is clearly stated the PS5 and Steam versions will receive bonus content called “SNAKE VS MONKEY.” However, on the Xbox version, this mode is mysteriously replaced with “SNAKE VS ????”
This has left fans wondering what this means. Speculation is running wild, but if this turns out to mean Xbox players are not receiving the same content as other platforms, it will be a major disappointment.
One way or another: The console wars continue
The developers need to clarify the situation. | Image Credit: KONAMI
No matter how much the gaming industry tries to push for inclusivity and cross-platform access, the console wars refuse to die. Exclusive content deals, timed releases, and platform-specific perks keep fueling the rivalry.
With Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, Xbox players might find themselves on the losing side. While the game itself is launching across multiple platforms, bonus content like “SNAKE VS MONKEY” is being offered only to PlayStation and Steam players.
Even if the mysterious “????” means something different for Xbox players, it means PC and PS5 players are not getting that bonus content. So, no matter how you look at it, someone is missing out.
As the wait continues for the release date, which is still a bit far, fans are hoping that Konami will clear the situation and no side has to face a deficit of content, especially exclusive content.
In the end, the question still looms: Will Xbox players eventually get access to the missing content? Or is this just another reminder that when it comes to big-name franchises, Sony often gets the upper hand? Only time will tell.

Sideshow bust leads to 160 mph police chase in Sacramento
(FOX40.COM) — A sideshow bust in Sacramento led to a police chase that reached more than 160 mph, according to the California Highway Patrol.
On Sunday, CHP and the Sacramento Police Department worked together to break up a sideshow. As patrol units arrived, participants and spectators dispersed and a CHP Valley K-9 attempted to make a stop on a highspeed vehicle.
Northern California police seize four kilos of fentanyl mixed with industrial chemical
“The suspect recklessly fled from numerous agencies reaching speeds in excess of 160 mph,” CHP said. “The suspect led CHP and allied agencies through a lengthy pursuit as units lost visual and discontinued the pursuit.”
CHP said an Air-21 (airplane) stayed with the vehicle which came to a stop in front of a residence in Sacramento. The driver and passenger fled on foot, however, A-21 reportedly directed officers to the suspects’ location and they were taken into custody without incident.

Here’s what federal judges could do if they’re ignored by the Trump administration
Here’s what federal judges could do if they’re ignored by the Trump administration
Recent court orders slowing down or indefinitely blocking President Donald Trump’s policy blitz have raised the specter that the executive branch might openly flout the federal judiciary and prompted questions about how judges would respond.
Any decision by the administration to defy federal courts would immediately implicate profound constitutional questions about separation of powers that have kept each branch of the government in check for centuries. That’s in large part because it would test the power of courts to enforce rulings that are supposed to be the final word.
Legal experts say there are few options to force compliance with its pronouncements. Judges could hold an agency or official in civil or criminal contempt – but that’s about it.
Fears that the Trump administration might deliberately break into a pattern of not following judicial rulings with which it disagrees were amplified earlier this week when a federal judge in Rhode Island, for the second time, told the Trump administration it can’t cut off grant and loan payments after Democratic-led states complained that the administration wasn’t obeying the judge’s previous court order.
A day earlier, Vice President JD Vance also created a storm of criticism when he questioned in a post on X whether courts can block any of Trump’s agenda. “Judges aren’t allowed to control the executive’s legitimate power,” he wrote in part.
To be sure, such talk at the moment is just that, talk. And at the moment, the Justice Department has taken the usual approach of appealing to a higher court on preliminary injunctions that have blocked various executive actions.
Asked at the White House on Tuesday whether he’ll comply with court rulings, Trump said that he will.
“Well, I always abide by the courts, and then I’ll have to appeal it – but then what he’s done is he’s slowed down the momentum, and it gives crooked people more time to cover up the books,” Trump said. “So yeah, the answer is I always abide by the courts, always abide by them. And we’ll appeal, but appeals take a long time.”
The most likely response by a court if the administration were to defy its edict would be to hold the agency acting in defiance of an order or ruling in civil contempt, which would allow a judge to levy fines on the government for its non-compliance, experts told CNN.
“So you fine whoever the relevant defendant is, whether it’s secretary of the Treasury or some other official, and the fines escalate (as the non-compliance continues),” said Michael Dorf, a constitutional law professor at Cornell Law School.
But the issue with that, Dorf added, is that the agency or official might also ignore the imposed fines.
“If they’ve been willing to defy the order in the first place, they might be willing to defy the sanctions order,” he said.
Other formal sanctions by a court, though grounded in a deep history, also come with a host of potential problems when applied to the executive branch. Should a judge decide to pursue criminal contempt, for instance, it would need to be initiated by the Justice Department – meaning it’s highly unlikely given the president’s control over that department. The US Marshals Service, which enforces federal court orders, is also part of the Department of Justice.
“Judges are very leery of using that – and maybe appropriately so – because it’s such a hammer. The threat of sending somebody to jail is sort of a last resort,” said Carl Tobias, a constitutional law professor at the University of Richmond School of Law.
Judges holding government entities or officials in contempt is not unheard of. In 2021, US District Judge Royce Lamberth in Washington, DC, held the city’s jail in civil contempt but did not impose any sanctions. The judge, an appointee of former President Ronald Reagan, instead referred the jail to the Justice Department for potential civil rights violations after it failed to get treatment for a US Capitol rioter who needed surgery.
And presidents not complying with court orders, while novel, is also not unprecedented. Then-President Richard Nixon famously defied a court order to turn over White House tape recordings during the Watergate investigation. He ultimately did, but only after the Supreme Court ruled that he needed to hand them in.
Punishment could be political, not legal
David Cole, a Georgetown Law professor who has repeatedly argued cases before the Supreme Court on behalf of the American Civil Liberties Union, predicted that the most likely penalty a president would face for defying a court order would be political – not legal.
“The response,” Cole predicted, “would be to punish the Republican Party.”
But Cole noted that during Trump’s first term, the White House frequently lost major legal disputes, complained loudly about the judge who issued them and then did what every previous administration has done after losing: appeal.
Despite “a lot of norm-breaking,” Cole said he believed people are overreading Vance’s post on X and other past statements.
“If the president were to defy an order, it would cause a political firestorm,” Cole said. “And he knows that, and he’s therefore very unlikely to do it.”
Dorf said that the difference between how the Trump administration responded to adverse court rulings during the first term and now is “the complete acquiescence of congressional Republicans to Trump.”
That support, he said, forecloses the possibility that Congress might use its impeachment power to punish Trump or others for potential non-compliance with a court order.
Some Republicans this week have defended the role of the federal judiciary or pushed back on the idea that the White House might defy rulings hamstringing Trump’s agenda.
Among them is Louisiana Sen. John Kennedy, a Republican on the Senate Judiciary Committee, who said that he supports the “legitimacy of the federal judiciary” and the judicial process.
“I’ve disagreed with opinions before,” he said. “That’s why God made courts of appeal. That’s why God made the US Supreme Court.”
CNN’s Katelyn Polantz contributed to this report.

John Bolton Says He Knows ‘Exactly’ What Trump Will Do Next, And It’s Frightening
John Bolton Says He Knows ‘Exactly’ What Trump Will Do Next, And It’s Frightening
John Bolton, former national security advisor to President Donald Trump during his first term in office, said it’s already clear where negotiations with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Ukraine are headed.
“I think we know exactly what’s gonna happen: President Trump has effectively surrendered to Putin before the negotiations have even begun,” Bolton told CNN’s Kaitlan Collins.
Trump on Wednesday said he spoke with his Russian counterpart and the two agreed to start negotiations on ending the war, which began three years ago when Russia invaded its neighbor. Later in the day, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth said Russia should be able to keep some of the Ukrainian territory it has seized, and that Ukraine should not become part of NATO.
Bolton called those concessions a “complete reversal of the US position” and a major victory for Putin.
“The positions that Defense Secretary Hegseth announced in Brussels – which I’m sure, I’d be stunned if Trump didn’t convey them directly to Putin in their phone call – constitute terms of a settlement that could’ve been written in the Kremlin,” he said. “Maybe they were written in the Kremlin and got out in propaganda channels.”
He called those early concessions a big mistake.
“If you’re going into a negotiation, you don’t announce what’s acceptable to you before it begins and give away positions,” he said.
He added that Putin also won something else he’s wanted: to negotiate over Ukraine with Trump rather than Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
“Putin doesn’t wanna negotiate with Zelenskyy, he wants to negotiate with Trump because he thinks he’ll get more out of him, and he’s absolutely right,” Bolton said.
Bolton said there is plenty of blame to go around, noting that President Joe Biden also mishandled the situation.
“But the surrender is gonna be signed by Donald Trump,” he said.

Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra Battery Capacity Tipped to Be Less Than 6,000mAh
Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra Battery Capacity Tipped to Be Less Than 6,000mAh
Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra is expected to arrive as a successor to the Galaxy S25 Ultra, which was launched earlier this year alongside the Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S25+. Details about the purported Galaxy S26 series handset have surfaced online over the past few weeks. The expected chipset and camera specifications of the Ultra smartphone have also leaked. The Galaxy S26 Ultra has been tipped to pack a silicon-carbon battery. Now, a tipster has weighed in on the likely battery size that the phone may house.
Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra Battery Details (Expected)
Samsung is tipped to pack a smaller-than-expected battery in the Galaxy S26 Ultra, according to an X post by tipster PandaFlash (@PandaFlashPro). The handset may house a battery with a capacity less than 6,000mAh. To show confidence in this information, the tipster added that he would delete his Twitter (now X) account if the phone gets a 7,000mAh or even a 6,000mAh battery. He claimed in another post that the internal Samsung Test Lab suggests that the Galaxy S26 Ultra will carry a battery with a capacity of 5,396mAh.
Even it’s not complete 5500mAh it’s like 5396mAh.
— PandaFlash 𝕏 (@PandaFlashPro) February 11, 2025
Previous leaks suggested that the Samsung Galaxy S26 series, including the Ultra variant, is likely to use silicon-carbon batteries instead of lithium-ion batteries. These are expected to increase the energy density of a cell by 10 percent and are said to be safer as well as more environmentally friendly. The tipster did not specify if the Galaxy S26 Ultra will use silicon-carbon or lithium-ion cells.
Notably, the current Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra carries a 5,000mAh battery, similar to the preceding Galaxy S24 Ultra.
Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra Other Features (Expected)
The Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra alongside the Galaxy S26+ and Galaxy S26 are tipped to use Exynos chipsets, possibly the Exynos 2600. The Ultra variant may also get an Under Display Camera (UDC), similar to the inner screen selfie cameras found on the Galaxy Z Fold smartphones.
Another report claimed that the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra could sport a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto camera with a 1/1.5-inch sensor. The existing Galaxy S25 Ultra has a 50-megapixel telephoto shooter with 5x optical zoom and OIS support as well as a 10-megapixel telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom.

Timing of storm that will bring icy roads to commute
Timing of storm that will bring icy roads to commute
A winter storm is expected to begin hitting Central Indiana early this afternoon, according to the National Weather Service in Indianapolis, with some combination of rain or freezing rain along the Interstate 70 corridor and areas north of the city more likely to receive snow.
Plan for slippery road conditions that could impact Wednesday evening and Thursday morning commutes.
There’s a winter weather advisory from 1 p.m. Wednesday to 4 a.m. Thursday.
Ice accumulations could reach a quarter of an inch, and people in areas around and north of Delphi and Lafayette can expect up to 3 inches of snow.
Overnight, lingering showers and flurries are possible with very minor accumulations. Slick conditions on untreated roads and overpasses, along with brief periods of low visibility Feb. 12-13.
Indianapolis isn’t expected to see any solid snow accumulation today and tomorrow, NWS Indianapolis meteorologist Alexander McGinnis told IndyStar.
“Just freezing rain across Marion County with greater impacts of that rain across the northern of the county,” he said.
“After midnight there are a few expected flurries but nothing too big,” McGinnis said. “We can’t rule out a few snowflakes mixing in, but it’s a matter of if it’ll freeze on the surface with temperatures being as low as 32 degrees.”
How much snow Indianapolis has seen this winter
The city has seen 16.3 inches of snow so far this winter season with the bulk of that coming from Winter Storm Blair, which hit Jan. 5-6. The city recorded another 3.5 inches of snowfall the following weekend.
A winter storm is moving across half of the country Feb. 11-13, 2025 on a line from central Arizona northward toward the great lakes. The storm is expected to bring freezing rain and snow to parts of Indiana.

PlayStation 5 enjoys best ever holiday *******, reaching 75 million shipments
PlayStation 5 enjoys best ever holiday *******, reaching 75 million shipments
PlayStation 5 enjoyed its best-ever holiday ******* in 2024 and has now cleared 75 million units shipped, Sony announced on Thursday.
In the company’s financial results for the three months ended December 31, 2024, Sony reported shipments of 9.5 million PS5 consoles – the best quarter ever of the PS5 era, and only 0.2 million behind PlayStation 4’s peak in Q3 in FY2017.
Launch-aligned, PlayStation 5 is now just 1.5 million units behind PlayStation 4 during the same ******* of its lifecycle (76.5 million units). Sony has shipped 15.7 million PlayStation 5 consoles during the first three quarters of its current year, with a target of 18 million by the end of March.
The results include sales of PlayStation 5 Pro (which launched in November) for the first time, but Sony did not provide separate sales figures for the console.
Despite releasing a significant first-party game in the previous fiscal year in the form of Marvel Spider-Man 2, operating income increased 37% year-over-year, at about $766 million, which is a new record high for a third quarter. Sony said this was partly due to third-party games, subscriptions and microtransactions, and higher profitability from hardware.
Monthly active users across all platforms were up by 43% at 129 million users compared to the same point of the PS4 generation (90 million users). This is up 5% year-on-year, and the highest in PlayStation’s history, Sony said. Last year, the company said that about half of its monthly active users were on PS4.
According to the company, 42% of PS5 console sales during its latest quarter were to new users, which it said contributed “substantially” to the increase in active users.
Sony reported that sales for its Game and Network Services division were up 12% year-on-year, to about $761 million. As a result, it raised its sales revenue forecast by 3% for the current fiscal year, which ends in April 2025.
PlayStation Plus revenue increased by 20% year-on-year, which it said was mainly due to higher average revenue per user, due to a general shift to higher price tiers.
Sony’s Network services revenue – which encompasses PS Plus and advertising revenue – increased 28% year-on-year. Software sales (PS4 and PS5) increased 6.2 million year-over-year, to 95.9 million units. Digital software accounted for 74% of game sales, compared to 66% last year.
Commenting on its PlayStation business during a web call, the company highlighted the success of Astro Bot and Helldivers 2, which it said signified its intention to expand in the areas of family games and live service titles.
Looking ahead, Death Stranding 2 and Ghost of Yotei will release this year, alongside significant third-party titles like Monster Hunter Wilds and Grand Theft Auto 6. Sony said it had “high expectations” for the titles releasing in its next fiscal year, which runs from April 1.

‘Remove the roots of the weed’
‘Remove the roots of the weed’
Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk delivers remarks as he joins U.S. President Donald Trump during an executive order signing in the Oval Office at the White House on February 11, 2025 in Washington, DC.

DUBAI, United Arab Emirates — The U.S. government needs to “delete entire agencies” in a cost and efficiency drive, tech billionaire and Tesla founder Elon Musk said Thursday when asked about whether the changes he is implementing as part of the Donald Trump administration will last beyond the current president’s term.
“I think we do need to delete entire agencies, as opposed to leave part of them behind … It’s kind of like leaving a weed,” Musk said. “If you don’t remove the roots of the weed, then it’s easy for the weed to grow back. But if you remove the roots of the weed — it doesn’t stop weeds from ever going back, but it makes it harder.”
Musk, who also founded SpaceX and owns social media platform X, made the comments while speaking via video link to an audience at Dubai’s annual World Government Summit, as part of a conversation hosted by the United Arab Emirates’ Artificial Intelligence Minister Omar Sultan Al Olama.
“So we have to really delete entire agencies, many of them,” Musk continued. “And that’s not to say there won’t be an increase over time of bureaucracy in some new administration, but it will be from a much lower baseline. So certainly it’s a step in the right direction.”
“Nothing’s forever,” he added, “but I think we can strengthen the foundations of the United States substantially.”
Trump appointed the South African-born engineer and tech entrepreneur as a “special government employee” and the head of a new Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) under the administration. Musk has been vocal about his aims to improve government efficiency and reduce bureaucracy and regulations, and on Thursday said that such efforts could amount to a $1 trillion reduction in the federal deficit by 2026.
Musk has already taken an axe to USAID, the international humanitarian and development arm of the U.S. government, by essentially furloughing the majority of its staff and freezing its funding, The sudden change is affecting millions of people around the world, particularly in poorer countries.
The Trump administration in early February said that USAID would shut down as an independent agency and be moved under the State Department.
This developing story is being updated.

Konstas overcomes cramp for ton as Queensland beat NSW
Konstas overcomes cramp for ton as Queensland beat NSW
Young gun Sam Konstas has overcome leg cramps to score his first domestic one-day cricket century, as Queensland beat NSW in a runfest.
Despite Konstas’s impressive 116, NSW were dismissed for 256 chasing Queensland’s 9-310 on Thursday at Allan Border Field.
The opener was sent home early from the Sri Lanka tour without playing in either Test and only made three and 22 in the Sheffield Shield match earlier this week against Queensland.
But the 19-year-old, whose Boxing Day Test debut was one of the highlights of the summer, reminded everyone of his vast potential as he anchored the NSW innings in his second domestic one dayer.
While Konstas was still in, NSW had a glimmer of hope that they could pull off the win.
Play was held up for five minutes after he cramped badly in his left hamstring and dropped to the turf, but after treatment he was able to keep batting.
His 98-ball knock featured 13 fours and three sixes. He brought up the century with an outstanding square cut for six.
But NSW, who started Thursday’s games as the top side in the one-day competition, paid dearly for a mid-innings collapse after Lachie Hearne set up the sizeable Queensland total with his ton.
After the start of play was delayed by rain and the match shortened to 45 overs per side, the bowler-friendly conditions meant it was a good toss for NSW to win.
They reduced the home side to 4-54, before Hearne and Max Bryant steadied the innings with their 100-run stand from 78 ******.
Once Bryant was dismissed for 34, Jack Wildermuth was the senior partner in his 120-run stand with Hearne as the conditions became much easier for batting.
Wildermuth belted 83 from 56 ****** with six fours and five sixes.
Hearne also opened up, with four successive sixes to hit Moises Henriques out of the attack.
He was dismissed at the end of the 42nd over for 107 from 91 ******, with four fours and seven sixes.
Gurinder Sandhu scored a valuable 21no to take the score past 300, while opening bowler Jack Nisbet took 4-49 from his nine overs..
NSW made a solid start, reaching 1-113 in the 18th over, before they crucially lost 3-5.
After Mitch Swepson dismissed Matthew Gilkes for 34, Callum Vidler snared two wickets in three ******, with Henriques and Oliver Davies departing for ducks.
That left NSW 4-118 at the end of the 19th over and they never quite recovered.
A 50-run stand between Konstas and Hayden Kerr for the eighth wicket raised NSW hopes of chasing down the formidable Queensland total.
But when Liam Guthrie snared Kerr for 14, NSW were 8-233 at the start of the 38th over.
Sandhu claimed Konstas’ wicket in the 40th over to confirm Queensland would win and the only interest remained whether the home side could claim the bonus point, by dismissing NSW for less than 247. But the visitors passed that target and their last wicket fell at 42.2 overs.
Guthrie took 3-45 from 8.2 overs and Vidler claimed 2-66.

Fanatical’s Explosive bundle is now live and lets you save big on 16 Steam Deck-friendly games

Truth be told, I didn’t use my Steam Deck much once I got it; it was a fun novelty, and I wanted to get into PC gaming eventually, but I wasn’t in any rush. Then tragedy struck, my desktop PC’s hard drive died. I figured I’d try using the Steam Deck for a bit until I got a replacement hard drive; I knew that the Steam Deck had a desktop mode that looked like a normal PC, so why not see what it could do. Turns out that the Steam Deck actually out-performs my old desktop by a LOT (I was running an old Dell mini from back when Windows 8 had first come out). I never did get that hard drive replaced. The Steam Deck is now my main computer, its future iterations will be my upgrade path, and I couldn’t be happier.
