You might have heard about ‘Sutton’s Super Computer’, which were the calculations I did for the Monday Night Club this week, where I worked out the results of all the remaining Premier League fixtures.
According to my secret formula, which is obviously extremely scientific, the Tractor Boys only have an outside chance of staying up. Along with Leicester they were in my ‘no-hopers’ category.
Maybe Ipswich can surprise me and go on an FA Cup run, but you have to fancy Nottingham Forest here.
Defeat would just leave a grim fight against relegation for McKenna’s side, so I feel for my daughter’s teacher, Mr Fields, who regular readers will know follows the Tractor Boys, but not so much for my 5 Live colleague Ali Bruce-Ball who is a phony Ipswich supporter – when I asked him, he could not remember the last time he went to watch them as a fan.
One thing I really can’t stand are people like Bruce who attach themselves to a club which has a bit of success, claiming some tenuous link from the past.
My boyhood team Forest may make changes too because they are still in a good position for a Champions League spot, but I am backing Chris Wood to come off the bench and get us a winner.
Sutton’s prediction: 2-1 after extra time
Josh’s prediction: Forest are another throwback team who do not seem to have had a decent Cup run for a long time. 2-0
Josh’s favourite FA Cup final of the 1990s: Spurs versus Forest in 1991 was a really important and seismic one, because of Gazza [Paul Gascoigne] and what it did to his career.
There were some other great ones too, though, like 1997 when Middlesbrough lost to Chelsea. That was quite fun because of Roberto di Matteo’s goal after 47 seconds.
Then there was 1995 when Manchester United lost to Everton after they had been going for the Double and lost everything, and even 1993 was interesting because Arsenal and Sheffield Wednesday met in both domestic cup finals. I’m not going to, but you could write a book about the history of 90s football based around those finals, because they mattered so much then.

Google on Friday rolled out the Android 16 Beta 2.1 update to developers and beta testers. Initially available on select Google Pixel devices, it is the latest testing version of Google’s smartphone operating system and builds upon the release of the Android 16 Beta 2 which was introduced earlier this month. Unlike the previous update which brought hybrid auto-exposure mode, UltraHDR HEIC photos, and other new privacy features, Android 16 Beta 2.1 is considered a minor rollout and does not contain any notable new additions. However, the update does bring fixes for crucial issues which impacted the device performance, including connectivity, system stability, and performance.
Meanwhile, the company is speculated to release Android 16’s stable version to eligible Google Pixel smartphones in the second quarter of 2025.
Android 16 Beta 2.1 Update: What’s New
According to Google, the Android 16 Beta 2.1 brings fixes for several issues impacting Google Pixel devices which were reported by users following the previous updates. It arrives with the build number BP22.250124.010 and rectifies a problem which stopped the handset from entering the Doze mode, a power-saving feature with which the system attempts to conserve battery by restricting apps’ access to network and CPU-intensive services.
Another issue reported on Google’s Issue Tracker caused choppy animations while configuring live wallpapers. It has been fixed. As per the changelog, the update also fixes random and unexpected reboot on devices. It also contains rectifications for problems related to system stability, connectivity, and performance, as per Google.
Android 16 Release Date
According to previous reports, Android 16 is speculated to be moved to the Android Open Source Project (AOSP) on June 3. It is also likely to be made available as an over-the-air (gaming platforms) update for Google Pixel devices, which are usually the first in the market to get the latest Android updates, on the same day.
Notably, AOSP is a source code repository which contains the core of the Android OS. Following its availability on this platform, developers can create custom variants of the OS catering to their respective devices and port it for the release.

You’d have thought that with all the *****-bang computer skills Musk claims his nerd bros possess, they’d have been able to weasel their way into the data collection systems of some big-time pollsters and jack up the numbers for the co-commander in chief.
But I guess not.
Because it ain’t good news.

According to the most recent Gallup poll, Trump is the least popular president in more than 70 years.
Or, as the company put it on its website: “Trump’s job approval rating is 15 points below the historical average for all other elected presidents in mid-February since 1953.”

Gallup continues: “Bill Clinton has the next lowest mid-February rating for a newly inaugurated president ‒ which, at 51%, is six points higher than where Trump is now. John Kennedy (72%) and Jimmy Carter (71%) were the highest rated at this point in their presidencies.”
Ouch!
Six percentage points below Clinton puts Trump’s approval rating at – wait for it – 45%.
And just when you’d like to brush that off as fake news (knowing, of course, that Trump will try to do that anyway), another big poll comes out with – you guessed it – the same number.
A Washington Post/Ipsos poll also finds that only 45% of Americans approve of the job Trump is doing.

And for Elon, the numbers are much worse.

Only 34% approve of what Musk is doing in his non-elected job. Only 26% are OK with him shutting down government programs he thinks are unnecessary.
And a whopping 63% don’t like Musk’s marauders gaining access to federal government databases containing Social Security, Medicare and tax information.

In addition to all that, more than half of Americans, 57%, say Trump has exceeded his authority since taking office.
And all this is before Americans have begun to feel the potential harm that could be done to their health, their safety and their pocketbooks by the wholesale slashing of government agencies that is going on under Musk’s watch and with Trump’s approval.

S&P 500 Slips Below 5,900 – Put Wall Shift Signals More Downside Risk
Stocks fell sharply, with the leading the decline, finishing the day down almost 1.6% at 5,860. Meanwhile, the dropped nearly 2.75%, closing at 20,550. This decline was primarily driven by Nvidia (NASDAQ:), which fell 8.5% to end the day at 120.
Anyone following this commentary for some time knows that Nvidia was positioned in a way that made a pullback likely following its earnings results, primarily due to the way the options market was structured around it. The market had been highly bullish, with significant call delta exposure, but after the results, those deltas burned off, and implied volatility dropped sharply, leading to yesterday’s selloff.
Nvidia also broke key technical levels yesterday. The next major support level appears to be around 118, and if that breaks, it could set up a move down to 109.
As for the S&P 500, a critical level at 5,900 was broken yesterday, nearly filling a previous gap. The index pulled back to around 5,860, though there may still be some room for further downside. More importantly, 5,900 had been serving as a major support level and a “put wall” from a gamma perspective. Now, it appears that the put wall has shifted down to around 5,800, suggesting that if the market wants to decline further, there is room for it to do so.
Previously, the market had been range-bound between 5,900 and 6,100, but after yesterday’s close, it seems that range may now extend down to 5,800.
The same is true of the NDX, which finds itself at support at 20,550 and what appears to be a double-top pattern. A break of support at 20,550 probably means we see a drop to around 20,000 to start.
The ******* question is whether credit spreads will begin to widen significantly. While valuations could justify a lower market, they are not a good timing tool. Instead, credit spreads need to show material widening to confirm a sustained decline. We are seeing early signs of this, with the CDX high-yield credit spread index closing above a trendline yesterday. Whether this is a genuine breakout will depend on today’s follow-through.
Another notable move yesterday was in the , which broke out of a falling wedge, signaling potential further strength. This move was reflected across multiple currency pairs, including , , and .
Additionally, the rose by one basis point, which, given the S&P 500’s decline, suggests we are still in the same broader market cycle. The curve also steepened slightly by about three basis points, and for now, there’s no apparent reason to change the outlook that the yield curve could continue to steepen.
Some are calling this a “growth scare,” but it’s unclear whether that’s the true driver of the current market moves. More significant economic data should provide more clarity by the end of next week.

The Kick It Out course is run by Alan Bush, the charity’s fan education and engagement manager, who has delivered more than 400 sessions in the past five years. In that time, 40 fans were referred to him by either police or clubs for using the Chelsea slur.
“We can’t ban our way out of discrimination and we can’t just ban football fans from football. All we do is we push it back into society,” Bush said.
“Football has a responsibility to educate its fans… then fans say to other fans ‘you can’t say that, mate, you’ll end up in court’ or ‘you can’t say that because that’s wrong’. There’s a chance they report, there’s a chance that they challenge. And I just think that has to be a far better than just banning people.”
He added that “the vast majority have not understood the gravity of how offensive that [chant] can be, how that can cause harassment, alarm and distress to an individual”.
To illustrate his point, Bush tells the offenders the story of Lee Johnson, a passionate Tottenham fan who was forced out of football for nearly a decade after hearing the Chelsea chant inside White Hart Lane as a teenager.
“It completely shook me to my core,” Johnson – who is now co-chair of the Proud Lilywhites, the LGBTQ+ supporters’ association of Tottenham Hotspur – told BBC Sport.
“It felt like all of the lights had gone out and I was just isolated by myself. It just took me straight back to when I was younger at school. ‘Rent boy’ was one of the things I used to get [called].”
Johnson had often been a target for abuse in his home town. Football used to be an escape, somewhere he could “get lost in the magic of the game” but hearing homophobic chanting made him question everything.
“I was thinking ‘Am I safe here?’ If people around me knew that I was gay, would they be attacking me or be verbally abusive? Would they stop singing it about Chelsea and would they start singing it about me?” he said.
“People were using a term that has caused a lot of harm to me over the years. It’s very traumatic. I think it was still the first half and I just said to my friend, ‘I can’t be here’. It was a fight or flight response. I left and I didn’t come back for nearly 10 years.”

The data center segment, which houses AI-focused businesses, grew nearly 100% again in FQ4, and the automotive segment shows strength. It grew by 27% year-over-year and is considered the company’s next billion-dollar business, supported by demand for driver-assist, autonomous vehicle, and robotics technology.
Regarding AI, the demand for Blackwell products is unbelievable. Rubin is coming soon, and CEO Jenson Huang predicts a solid future for its GPU semiconductor business, with compute needs growing by 100x to meet the needs of the next-gen AI models. Together, they drive a robust outlook that includes slower growth but growth sustained at a double-digit pace, wide margins, strong cash flow, and an increasingly robust financial position.
Balance Sheet highlights at the end of the year include a 10% sequential increase in cash, more than $43 billion in cash on hand, a 70% increase in assets, and an 85% increase in shareholder equity. Regarding leverage, it is very low, with long-term debt running at 0.2x cash, a total liability of only 0.77x cash, and a nearly $11 billion net cash position.
The bottom line is that this company has the financial position to do whatever it wants, including advancing technology to support its growth while returning capital to shareholders. The capital return in 2025 isn’t large but sufficient to be interesting, and the outlook for increases grows quarterly.
Analysts Lift Consensus After NVIDIA’s Beat And Raise Quarter
NVIDIA’s Q4 was stellar despite weakness in only one segment: video games. The video game business remains weak, contracting by 22%, but will revert to growth soon, and the longer-term outlook is robust. Edge AI is expected to improve the performance of non-player characters, environment adaptability, and personalization.
It is only a matter of time until this business regains traction. Until then, Q4 revenue grew by 78% to outpace MarketBeat’s consensus estimate by 600 basis points. Datacenter grew by 93%, automotive by 27%, and Pro Visualization by 5%.
Guidance is also hot, with 2025 revenue expected to exceed $43 billion. The only bad news is that guidance is only 230 bps above the consensus at the time of the report, indicating strength is getting priced into the outlook. Even so, the company forecasts a hyper 65% growth pace for the quarter and another strong margin likely to increase the cash balance significantly.
The analysts’ response is mixed, including some downgrades and price target reductions, but the balance of activity is bullish. More analysts lifted their price targets or reiterated targets above the consensus, lifting MarketBeat’s reported consensus by roughly 150 basis points overnight. The 150 bps gain isn’t much but suggests a 28% upside from the pre-release closing price, and revisions lead to the high-end range, which is another 25% to 30% upside if reached.
NVIDIA’s 2025 Guidance Lifts AI Stocks Across the Board
NVIDIA’s initial market response was mixed with after-hours trading first moving lower than higher. The outlook ahead of the opening the following day is more bullish and indicates the uptrend in NVIDIA’s price action will continue. Up about 1.5% in premarket trading, NVIDIA’s market shows support at its 150-day EMA, but, more importantly, the news is also lifting other critical AI players like Microsoft (NASDAQ:), Amazon (NASDAQ:) and Oracle (NYSE:). Their price action also shows signs of support that aligns with bullish markets and is a good sign for the generally.
The critical resistance point for NVIDIA is the all-time high near $153, which may be broken before the end of Q1. In that scenario, NVIDIA’s stock price could quickly move above the $160 level. If not, NVIDIA’s price action could remain range-bound until later in the year, when and if new catalysts emerge, including Rubin and increasing auto-segment strength.

That’s because Warren Buffett has vastly outperformed the benchmark S&P 500 (SNPINDEX: ^GSPC) in his 60 years as CEO. But perhaps the most insight can be gained from the Oracle of Omaha’s annual shareholder letter. These letters often cover the basics, such as how Berkshire Hathaway performed in the latest year, as well as dive into the psyche of what characteristics Buffett looks for in his investments.
Although these shareholder letters are typically known for their unwavering optimism, Buffett’s newly released letter contains four of the most chilling words investors will ever witness.
To reiterate, Warren Buffett is, first and foremost, an optimist. On a number of occasions, he’s cautioned investors not to bet against America, and has previously suggested that owning an S&P 500 index fund is one of the best ways to gain exposure to great American businesses.
Berkshire’s chief takes this stance because he recognizes the nonlinearity of economic and stock market cycles. This is to say that Buffett realizes economic recessions and stock market corrections are both normal and inevitable. Rather than trying to time when they’ll occur, Berkshire’s brightest investment mind plays a simple numbers game.
Whereas recessions and bear markets are historically short-lived, periods of U.S. economic growth and bull markets last substantially longer. Statistically, it makes a lot more sense to be a long-term optimist.
Despite this unwavering optimism, the Oracle of Omaha is an exceptionally picky investor who wants a perceived value when he’s building a stake in a publicly traded company.
When discussing how he and his team invest Berkshire’s capital under the “Where Your Money Is” subhead from the company’s latest shareholder letter, Buffett bluntly notes, “Often, nothing looks compelling.” These four chilling words turn Buffett’s proverbial cards face-up for investors and plainly show that he’s struggling to find value in a historically pricey stock market.

Truth be told, we didn’t need Berkshire Hathaway’s annual shareholder letter to know that Warren Buffett isn’t pleased with broader market equity valuations.
Over the previous nine quarters (Oct. 1, 2022 through Dec. 31, 2024), Berkshire’s billionaire leader has been a net seller of stocks, to the tune of almost $173 billion on an aggregate basis. This includes $134 billion in selling in 2024 and the company’s cash pile ballooning to north of $334 billion, including U.S. Treasuries.
In one respect, the overall stock market is at one of its priciest valuations in history. The “Buffett Indicator,” which divides the total market cap of all publicly traded U.S. companies into U.S. gross domestic product (GDP), hit an all-time high on Feb. 18. Whereas the average reading for the Buffett Indicator has been 85% (i.e., the market cap of all stocks averages 85% of U.S. GDP) since 1970, it topped out at 207.46% on Feb. 18.

It’s a similar story for the S&P 500’s Shiller price-to-earnings (P/E) Ratio, which is also regularly referred to as the cyclically adjusted P/E Ratio (CAPE Ratio). This valuation tool is based on average inflation-adjusted earnings from the previous 10 years, and it’s been back-tested to January 1871.
Over the last 154 years, the average Shiller P/E reading is 17.21. As of the closing bell on Feb. 24, the S&P 500’s Shiller P/E Ratio chimed in at 37.73, which effectively marks its third-highest reading during a continuous bull market, dating back to 1871. Readings above 30 have historically foreshadowed pullbacks of at least 20% in the S&P 500.
On top of the stock market being pricey, some of Berkshire Hathaway’s core holdings aren’t the values they once were.
When top holding Apple (NASDAQ: AAPL) was added to Berkshire’s portfolio in the first quarter of 2016, it traded at a P/E multiple in the low teens. As of Feb. 24, investors were paying more than 39 times trailing-12-month earnings to own this tech giant. Perhaps it’s no surprise that Buffett oversaw the ***** of roughly 615.6 million shares of Apple over a one-year *******.

Considering how pricey Wall Street’s major stock indexes are, and taking into account that Buffett has been a net seller of stocks for nine consecutive quarters, it’s unlikely that he and his advisors will be deploying a significant portion of Berkshire Hathaway’s treasure chest anytime soon.
However, Buffett’s latest shareholder letter also offered words of encouragement and reinforced the long-term ethos that he and late right-hand man Charlie Munger infused at the company. Said Buffett,
“Berkshire shareholders can rest assured that we will forever deploy a substantial majority of their money in equities — mostly American equities although many of these will have international operations of significance.”
Put bluntly, Warren Buffett is looking for a good deal and wants a reason to put his company’s capital to work. But he’s a value investor at heart and isn’t going to chase multinational businesses higher if the valuation doesn’t warrant it.

European markets are expected to open in negative territory on Friday, after U.S. President Donald Trump threatened once again to slap tariffs on the EU and followed through with new levies on Canada and Mexico.
London’s FTSE 100 is expected to open 0.6% lower, according to IG, while the ******* DAX index is slated to shed more than 1% and France’s CAC 40 is expected to lose around 0.8% at the open.
Regional markets ended Thursday’s session lower after Trump threatened to impose 25% duties on imports from the EU, saying the tariffs would be announced “very soon” and apply to “cars and all other things.”
The president also confirmed on Thursday that sweeping 25% tariffs on goods entering the U.S. from Canada and Mexico would come into effect on March 4, while China will face additional 10% tariffs from that date.
Following talks with U.K. Prime Minister Keir Starmer in Washington on Thursday, Trump hinted that Britain may manage to avoid his tariffs regime.
“I think there’s a very good chance in the case of these two great, friendly countries, I think we could very well end up with a real trade deal where the tariffs wouldn’t be necessary,” the president told reporters at a press conference. “We’ll see.”
Trump added that Starmer had been “working hard” to convince him not to impose tariffs on the U.K., and that he was “very receptive to it.”
Corporate earnings will also remain in focus on Friday, with a slew of European firms poised to report on their finances. Those include Allianz, Sberbank, British Airways owner IAG, Holcim and UCB.
Economic data out of the region on Friday will include ******* retail sales for January, French inflation figures and an update to Britain’s Nationwide House Price Index.

Eufy E20: two-minute review
The Eufy E20 is an ingenious piece of design. It’s a self-emptying robotic vacuum that also doubles as both a stick and handheld vacuum, so when it’s finished cleaning the floors, you can take over and vacuum the stairs, a sofa, or your car interior. It has strong suction (up to 30,000 Pa in handheld mode) and is more capable than some other robots at climbing over raised door thresholds and wading through thick rugs.
The setup process is quick and simple, and the Eufy app is easy to use, with plenty of options for adjusting settings, creating cleaning schedules and even driving the robot manually, if you prefer. The docking station is relatively compact and the crevice tool neatly stores inside the robot itself when not in use. And, while you’ll need to find somewhere to store the stick attachment, it does at least stand up on its own.
I’ve tested some of the best robot vacuums on the market, and the E20’s robo element holds up pretty well in comparison, although it’s not quite perfect. Its cleaning powers was good and I was mostly impressed by its navigation skills, although during my review ******* it sometimes behaved erratically and was occasionally let down by imperfect obstacle avoidance. It frequently head-butted the (open) kitchen door and pushed shoes instead of driving cleanly around them. I also had to remove tangled hair from the roller brush more frequently than with some other robotic vacuums.
The manual vacuum works surprisingly well, and while it lacks the robust build quality and extra features found on today’s best cordless vacuums, it was still capable enough to replace my regular Dyson for the duration of my review. If you don’t already own a stick vacuum, or yours needs replacing, the E20 is an effective all-in-one solution that delivers strong value for money.

The Eufy E20 was announced at CES 2025 – where it won the Best of Innovation in Home Appliances award – and went on ***** earlier in February 2025. At list price, it costs $550 / £550 / AU$999, which makes it a mid-range robotic vacuum. At time of writing, Eufy’s own website offered a $50 discount, so it looks like you’ll be able to avoid paying full price if you’re smart about when you buy.
However, the E20 isn’t just a robot vacuum – it’s also a cordless stick vacuum (which can be used as a handheld). This plausibly means customers could buy the E20 and do without any other form of vacuum for their entire home, since in stick and handheld mode it can handle the stairs, a sofa, your car interior and everywhere else unreachable by rival robots.
While this 3-in-1 design is unusual, it’s not completely unique. Currently on the market is the Yeedi C12 Combo, which similarly bundles stick vac and robovac on the same docking station, although there the handheld doesn’t sit inside the robot vacuum. That option is US-only, and costs $699.99 / (about £560 / AU$1,110).
There’s also the Ecovacs Deebot T30S Combo, which has a handheld included (but no wand to turn it into a floor vac). Again, it’s not available in the ***, but is significantly more expensive at $1,199.99 / AU$2,299 (about £950).
If we focus on Eufy’s own range, and the robot vacuum-only options, the E20’s price puts it roughly on par with the $650 Eufy Omni C20. However that self-emptying robot comes with a powered rotating mop, which the E20 lacks. Below both sits the $450 Eufy L60, which has the same self-emptying design but also lacks a mop.
Ultimately, the E20 is good value if you don’t already own a handheld or stick vacuum, and if you’re happy to mop the floors yourself. A good stick vacuum will typically cost £350 / $350 or more (although some are far pricier), so factoring that in, the Eufy E20 starts to make sense.

Innovative 3-in-1 design can function as robovac, stick vac and handheld

The Eufy E20’s design is by far its most compelling attribute. This is a robotic vacuum that doubles as a handheld vacuum with both stick and brush attachments for cleaning floors, steps and sofas. Or, think of it as a handheld vacuum that can be docked into a robot, which then charges and empties its onboard dustbin via the included docking station.
It’s a clever approach to the number one problem with robotic vacuums – that, no matter how intelligent and powerful they are, they cannot tackle the stairs, furniture or your car. With the E20, Eufy presents a machine that can handle just about everything, and means you don’t need to purchase an additional handheld vacuum. All that’s missing is a mop.
The motorized part of the robot looks much like other robotic vacuums, complete with wheels, roller brush and spinning side brush. But with the press of a big red button, the handheld element – which comprises the robot’s suction system, dustbin and battery – detaches, ready to be used as a handheld. A stick attachment with powered roller brush for vacuuming the floor is included in the box, along with a crevice tool and a brush for vacuuming furniture. The stick doesn’t come with a wall mount (as other handheld vacuums do), but can stand up on its own, making it easy to store without falling over, and the crevice tool handily tucks into a storage slot on the robot itself.

The robot measures 13.5 inches (34 cm) in diameter and is 5.5 inches (14 cm) tall. The base station is 10 inches (25.5cm) wide, 15.5 inches (39cm) tall and 6in (15cm) deep. When docked and charging, the total footprint of the robot and base station is 13.5in (34 cm) wide and 18in (46cm) deep.
The stick attachment for using the vacuum as a handheld is 34 inches (86cm) long. As ever with robotic vacuums, it is recommended that you leave plenty of space in front of, and to the side of, the docking station. This isn’t entirely necessary, but bear in mind that if the dock is close to a wall the robot won’t be able to reach that area of the floor.

The handheld section uses a bagless design and can be emptied manually. Or, you can place it back onto the robot and it’ll then empty automatically into the charging dock, which uses a 3.5-liter dust bag that Eufy says needs replacing every 75 days. The robot empties itself when it sees fit, although you can have it empty on command with a press of a button.

Installing and setting up the Eufy E20 is easy. It connects to the Eufy app just like the company’s other robotic vacuums, then drives around to create an editable map of your home. After that, you can task the robot with cleaning your entire property, or targeting one room or just a specific area of your choosing. There’s also plenty of customization, with several suction strengths to pick from, but I’ll come back to this in the performance section of the review.
Lastly, a strange quirk of the E20’s design is how the robot’s charge point is at the opposite side to the dust bin. This means the robot first parks at the docking station to empty its dust bin, then drives back out, turns around, and parks again, this time facing the opposite way so its charge point can connect to the dock.

The setup process took just a few minutes, with the robot successfully navigating its way around my apartment on its first attempt. It created a fairly accurate map, which I was able to quickly edit – changing a couple of room boundaries and naming each room – from the app with just a few taps. I also created a no-go zone to prevent the robot from driving under the living room sofa, as the amount of stuff under there meant it was bound to get stuck. Finally, I used the app to mark the bedroom floor as a medium pile carpet, and to plot the location of a high pile rug in the living room.
Right away, I was impressed by how the E20 clambered its way over a set of relatively high doorway thresholds without getting stuck. It even reversed then drove forward more quickly after failing on its first attempt. Some other Eufy robots, including the vastly more expensive Omni S1 Pro, have failed to reliably clear these thresholds. I asked Eufy about this but a spokesperson said there have been no changes to the robot’s intelligence in this regard.

It also drove over a thick rug without getting stuck – also something pricier robots often fail to do – but got tangled up in some tassels at the end of the rug. This is understandable, and if you have such a rug you’ll want to either mark it as a no-go zone in the app, or move it before each clean.
The robot mostly navigated very well, but on one occasion, after being untangled from the rug, it first said it “wasn’t on the ground”, when it was, then seemingly got lost despite saying it had correctly positioned itself. Another press of the home button fixed this, and after several minutes of exploration, it found its way back to the dock.

During daily use, I found the E20’s navigation to be a little clumsy and inconsistent. Sometimes it would drive precisely along a wall, leaving the tiniest of gaps, while other times it would push shoes around instead of driving around them, and head-butt open doors. On one occasion, when tasked with vacuuming the bedroom, the robot arrived at the entrance to the room and cleaned for just a few moments, before declaring the task complete and returning to base. I tried again, but this time it failed to enter the room and instead drove off into the living room, before returning and successfully entering the bedroom.
Although I’ve highlighted a few unfortunate failings here, the E20 mostly performed well. I especially like how it drove more quickly at any raised thresholds it failed to clear at the first attempt, and how it cleaned in neat lines – and at a decent speed – when in a large, open space. Only in the more cluttered corners of my home, such as where doors can’t be fully opened and access is restricted by relatively complex objects like a portable heater and an office chair, did the E20 struggle. In a larger home with more open space I can see if performing better.

Before I get to the specific cleaning challenges, I should talk about the E20’s handheld function. This performs very well indeed, with the stick attachment easy to fit and remove, and the crevice tool handy for vacuuming furniture, a car interior, and other hard-to-reach areas. In handheld mode the E20 deploys its maximum 30,000 Pa of suction (compared to 8,000 Pa when used as a robot, as power is also needed for the motors and navigation system). It did a great job of cleaning hard floors, carpets, rugs and sofas, and entirely replaced my Dyson Cyclone V10 for the duration of the test.
There are four levels of suction power, selected by repeatedly pressing the power button and indicated by a light bar on the side of the vacuum. A long press of the same button turns the vacuum on and off.

Although the manual vacuum works well and has plenty of power, it is rather loud. I recorded a peak loudness of 92 dB at maximum suction (the same as the Dyson V10 at full power), but a more comfortable 82-85 dB at the Eufy’s lower power settings.
Being able to use a robotic vacuum as a handheld is a bit of a game-changer, even if the robot isn’t quite the smartest around. I can imagine scheduling the robot to clean every few days, then using the stick attachment for occasional top-ups – like tidying up crumbs after food prep – and picking the crevice tool for furniture.
All that’s missing is a mop, but at this price point that omission is understandable. A static mopping pad could have been added, as with the SwitchBot K10+ Pro, but since that doesn’t work too well, I prefer Eufy’s approach of reducing complexity and going without.
Suction tests
Now for the specific tests, starting with how the E20 performs with fine dust, made from a mixture of flour and crushed digestives, on a hard floor. Since it’s a small room, I set the robot to vacuum the entire floor once at its lowest power setting, called Quiet and with a loudness measured at 63 dB.
The results were impressive, with almost all evidence of the flour/crumb fix picked up on a single pass at the lowest suction level. I noticed how the E20 didn’t flick debris all over the room with its spinning side brush, as other robotic vacuums are often guilty of. In this case, a second pass wasn’t required.

I then repeated the test on carpet, and the results were less impressive. The E20 spilled some of its bin contents when clearing the doorway threshold (which sees it climb from exposed floorboards up to a carpet), then failed to lift all of the crumb mix on its first pass. I repeated the test using the next suction level, called Standard (measured at 65 dB), but the robot failed, stating: “Route unavailable. Unable to reach the target point.”
This error occurs when a custom cleaning zone includes an area beyond the confines of the map. Even if it just touches an object like your bed, for example, the task will fail, so you need to be extra careful when creating the custom zone.
Most of the crumb mix was picked up using Standard mode, but some still remained. A single pass on the next mode, called Turbo (66 dB), picked up all debris. After this, the robot emptied its dust bin (79 dB) and put itself on charge.

I then repeated the tests, but this time replaced the crumb mix with oats to see how the E20 performed with larger debris. On hard floor the lowest suction level is powerful enough to pick up the oats, but the robot flicked debris around the room with its spinning side brush and left quite a bit of mess behind, as most robotic vacuums do in this test.
Next, I upped the suction strength to Standard and switched to two passes instead of one, and the E20 did a fantastic job. The room was left almost spotless, with practically no debris missed at all. Impressive.

I repeated the oats test on carpet and found that two passes with Standard mode was the best option. The robot did a great job, picking up all debris save for just two stray oats.

Finally, obstacle avoidance. I used a sock, a shoe and a USB cable to test the E20’s ability to spot objects and navigate around. It did a great job of avoiding both the shoe and sock, getting close (but not too close) to each, then continuing its cleaning routine.

Unfortunately, it didn’t care for the USB cable, and ate it almost immediately. This wrapped around the roller brush, stopping the robot and causing it to ask for help. No damage was caused, but it was clearly a failure.

Eufy says the E20 uses LiDAR and ‘dual laser sensors” to scan its environment and avoid obstacles over 15mm in size. The USB cable is less than 15mm wide, but is of course much longer than that. Eufy also says the roller brush rotates in reverse after cleaning and uses a built-in comb to dislodge hair, but when retrieving the cable I also had to remove a clump of hair that had tangled itself around the roller after just a handful of cleans.

Eufy’s app is a good one. Setting up the E20 is quick and easy – just as it is with Eufy’s other robotic vacuums – and the app is responsive, stable and intuitive. Part of the setup process includes telling the robot to create a map by exploring your home. You can then use the app to name rooms and make edits, such as creating no-go zones, labelling where carpets are, and moving any boundaries the E20 might have got wrong. I wish there was an option to label raised thresholds, so that the robot would know to drive more quickly, or at an angle, to clear them reliably.
You can tell the robot to cover an area once or twice during each clean, and there are four suction strengths. You can also tell the E20 to vacuum the entire map, clean a single room, or draw a specific zone for it to target.

Head into the comprehensive settings page and there are options for creating a daily or weekly schedule, adjusting how often it self-empties into the docking station, setting a child lock, and even taking manual control to drive the robot yourself. There’s also a handy page showing the remaining life of replaceable components like the filter, brushes and dust bag.

If you use Apple Mail as the default email app on your iPhone, there’s good news on the horizon.
That’s because when Apple rolls out iOS 18.4, the next big software update coming to the iPhone, it’s going to deliver a simple but important feature to Apple’s Mail app that solves a long-running frustration.

As first spotted by 9to5Mac, the “Delete or Move Message Action” feature changes what happens after you move an email to a different folder or send it to the trash.
To date, when you’ve done one of those actions, the Mail app automatically moves you onto the next email rather than a broader view of your entire inbox.
This is annoying and odd because you probably didn’t want to view the email that you’ve been automatically directed to. You’re then forced to return to your inbox and mark that previous email as “Unread.” Otherwise, it’s marked as “Read” and you (depending on how your inbox is set up) might disappear from view.

An upcoming change
Once running iOS 18.4, the Mail app will have a new setting option called “Delete or Move Message Action.” When selected, you’ll have the choice to “View Next Message” or “Don’t Select a Message.” The former is on by default, so you’ll want to change it.
Once “Don’t Select a Message” is selected, you’ll return to your inbox view after moving an email to a folder or sending it to your trash. Thank goodness.
You’ll be able to access this “Delete or Move Message Action” feature from the Settings app > Apps (located at the bottom) > Mail.

I’ve been able to test this new feature by running the public beta of 18.4, which just rolled out this past week.

Nothing says “we value innovation” quite like firing the innovators while locking their creations in a corporate vault. That’s exactly what Warner Bros has done by shuttering Monolith Productions while keeping their revolutionary Nemesis System trapped behind a patent until 2036.

But here’s the real kicker—while WB is perfectly happy to throw 131 talented developers into the job market during an industry-wide contraction, they’re keeping a death grip on Monolith’s crown jewel. The revolutionary Nemesis System, arguably one of gaming’s most innovative mechanics of the last decade, will remain locked behind WB’s patent until 2036.
It’s the corporate equivalent of taking your ball and going home, except in this case, the “ball” is a groundbreaking game mechanic that could push the entire industry forward. And WB isn’t even playing with it—they’re just making sure nobody else can.

The gaming community’s reaction to Monolith‘s closure has been swift and justifiably furious. After all, this is the studio that gave us one of the most dynamic and personalized enemy systems ever created, bundled with the masterpiece that is Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor.

For those unfamiliar, the Nemesis System transformed random enemies into memorable villains with personalities, memories, and grudges. Kill an orc captain, and he might return with scars and a burning desire for revenge. Fail to finish the job, and he’d mock you for your weakness in your next encounter. It created organic, emergent storytelling that made every playthrough unique.
The system was so revolutionary that WB patented it in 2016 (granted in 2021), effectively preventing any other developer from creating similar mechanics. And what has the company done with this innovation since Shadow of War released in 2017? Absolutely nothing.

The patent itself won’t expire until August 2036—that’s another 11 years of WB sitting on a game-changing mechanic while refusing to use it. They could have implemented variations in their Batman games, Hogwarts Legacy, or countless other titles. Instead, they’ve kept it locked away like a dragon hoarding gold it has no use for.
What makes this particularly bitter is that WB’s gaming division is “substantially underperforming its potential,” according to CEO David Zaslav. Perhaps that “potential” might be easier to reach if they actually utilized their innovative technologies instead of mothballing them.

While the Nemesis System is rightfully celebrated, Monolith’s contributions to gaming stretch much further. Long before orcs were remembering your failures in Mordor, the studio was pioneering horror and AI systems that changed gaming forever.

F.E.A.R. revolutionized enemy AI in 2005, creating opponents that would coordinate, flank, and adapt to player behavior in ways that still impress today. Condemned: Criminal Origins pushed the boundaries of atmospheric horror. Even earlier titles like No One Lives Forever and Blood showcased the studio’s knack for blending innovation with engaging gameplay.
The silver lining, if there is one, is that many of Monolith’s most talented developers saw the writing on the wall years ago. After WB canceled their original IP codenamed “Legacy” in 2021, much of the leadership team departed to form Cliffhanger Games with EA, where they’re now working on a single-player ****** Panther action-adventure game:

The Wonder Woman game that Monolith had been developing since 2021—which would have featured the Nemesis System—has been canceled alongside the studio closure. It’s just another casualty in WB’s disastrous gaming strategy that has already produced flops like Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League and the failed MultiVersus experiment.
And for those who never experienced the Nemesis System firsthand, Shadow of Mordor and Shadow of War remain playable testaments to what gaming can be when innovation is prioritized over safe, formulaic design. They’re worth revisiting, if only to experience what other games could have built upon had WB not locked the system away.

iPhone 16e was launched by Apple earlier this month, and the company’s most affordable smartphone went on ***** in India and global markets on Friday. While the smartphone comes with the latest A18 chip and support for Apple Intelligence, it doesn’t have other features found on recent iPhone models such as the Dynamic Island, MagSafe, and support for Ultra-Wideband (UWB) connectivity. The company recently explained its decision to launch the iPhone 16e without support for its magnetically attached wireless charging standard that also supports several accessories from third party firms.
Apple Says Most Users in iPhone 16e Target Audience Don’t Use Wireless Charging
In his review of the iPhone 16e, John Gruber highlighted the lack of support for MagSafe on Apple’s latest smartphone. The removal of MagSafe on the iPhone 16e has been one of the most notable hardware omissions on the new handset, along with support for UWB connectivity, which enables support for precise tracking of AirTags and similar accessories.
Gruber states that he was told by Apple representatives that most users in the target audience of the iPhone 16e don’t use MagSafe. These users typically prefer charging using a cable (the new iPhone 16e features a USB Type-C connector instead of the older Lightning port) and occasionally use the older Qi charging standard, which is supported on the recently unveiled handset.
The lack of support for MagSafe on the iPhone 16e means that users can only charge the smartphone at 7.5W using a Qi charger, while its more expensive siblings — the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Pro — offer support for 15W and 25W wireless charging using MagSafe.
Another advantage offered by MagSafe since the iPhone 12 is the ability to hold the wireless charging puck at the back of the iPhone and have it “snap” into position using the magnets. Over the past five years, MagSafe accessories have also become commonplace, and Apple has built features like Standby Mode, which allows users to see useful information on their screen while charging their phone horizontally.
In India, pricing for the iPhone 16e starts at Rs. 59,900 for the base model with 128GB of storage. The more feature-packed iPhone 15 (launched in 2023) is listed at Rs. 69,900 on Apple’s website, while the iPhone 16 is priced at Rs. 79,900. However, these handsets are typically available at lower prices — they’re currently listed at Rs. 61,499 and Rs. 72,400 on Amazon, respectively.

We were all expecting this game to be big, but it’s surpassed expectations and despite registering mixed reviews on Steam, it flew past 880,000 players in its first hour of release. This is surely beyond the studio’s expectations.
But we can’t help but wonder, what other milestones will it achieve? It’s already smashed its way into the top ten all-time records, but it’s only just getting started.
This comes after it enjoyed excellent review scores from critics across the board, often lauding its expansive open world, tight controls, and excellent graphics. Even with the graphical upgrade, you can play this game with a GTX 1660 and an i3 processor, making it playable for most gaming enthusiasts right off the bat.
What’s more, the recommended specs on Steam include an RTX 2060, a card now three generations old. This makes the higher graphical settings accessible even on budget rigs, and could this be part of the success behind this economical title?
It’s already soared up the charts to pass Counter-Strike, the consistent #1 in the most concurrent players on Steam, and who knows where it might end up? With much of the world still sound asleep, we could see this game smash a few more records before the end of the day.
I’m no Monster Hunter fan myself, but even I am curious as to what’s going on here, and I’m very tempted to grab it for myself.

Karachi, where England will exit the Champions Trophy after Saturday’s game against South Africa, is known as the City of Lights. Their last visit, the completion of a 3-0 Test series win in Pakistan in 2022, was Bazball’s brightest moment. Now Brendon McCullum and his men cannot shake the dark clouds.
Adele could write an album about how ********** England’s 2025 has been so far.
The end of 2024 wasn’t much better. The women dropped themselves out of the Twenty20 World Cup and the men were spun out in Pakistan. Heather Knight’s side at least won in South Africa and Ben Stokes’ men claimed an impressive win in New Zealand, then soured it with a stag-do of a performance in the final Test in Hamilton.
Since the turn of the year it has been a shambles: the women thrashed all over Australia, the men one win from 10 in McCullum’s new white-ball era. Andrew Flintoff’s Lions were hammered in South Africa and the Under-19 women were well beaten in a World Cup semi-final by India. Thank goodness Archie Vaughan’s Under-19 men won their Test series against South Africa.
It’s probably good to get a few things straight before delving into this: all of us – fans, media and pundits – want England to do well. We care. It hurts when they lose.
It is also fair to say I have never met an England player that is not desperate to succeed. They may occasionally forget the England team exists for everyone, not just the individuals in the dressing room, but there is an understandable element of self-preservation at play. Dreams and careers are on the line. Professional sport is cut-throat.
We must also be careful to not rewrite history. McCullum was a breath of fresh air to English cricket, both in terms of results and the feeling towards the men’s national team. It seemed a no-brainer to put him in charge of the white-ball side, largely because any other coach would have existed in the New Zealander’s shadow.
Jon Lewis did similar with the women’s team, even if Bazball-lite seemed too simplistic. The draw with Australia in the home Ashes of 2023 was creditable, and probably should have been better given Australia had lost Meg Lanning.

Geelong defender and former Wickham Wolf Lawson Humphries put in a workmanlike effort in the Cats’ 21-point pre-season loss to Essendon at GMHBA Stadium, showing flashes of promise but ultimately delivering a performance that left room for improvement.
Humphries gathered 12 disposals (nine kicks, three handballs) and took two marks, spending the majority of his time in defence.
While his disposal count was modest, his ball use was generally clean, and he showed his usual willingness to take the game on when given space.
However, he struggled at times with Essendon’s forward pressure, conceding a free kick and managing just one behind.
With Essendon’s young stars shining, Humphries was part of a Geelong backline that was tested frequently.

The Cats’ defence, including Humphries, found it difficult to contain their movement, particularly in transition.
Statistically, Humphries’ Super Coach score of 51 reflected his limited impact on the contest.
While he provided some rebound off half-back, he wasn’t as influential as Geelong would have hoped, particularly when the game was up for grabs in the second and third quarters.
The 21-year-old remains a developing talent for the Cats, and this match served as an important learning experience heading into the regular season.
Humphries will be keen to build on his work defensively, sharpen his positioning, and increase his ability to impact the game offensively in the coming weeks.
With the home-and-away season fast approaching, Humphries will need to lift his intensity to play consistently in Geelong’s best 22.

On Tuesday at 2:02 p.m., detention deputies found Marshall Nelson, 52, after he attempted to take his own life.
Deputies and jail medical staff began life-saving efforts before Nelson was transported to the hospital. He was pronounced dead on Wednesday, according to HCSO.

The medical examiner’s office will determine the cause of death.
Nelson had been at the jail since his arrest on Jan. 30, 2025, for the possession of child ************.

Nelson had been with the fire department for over two decades. After his arrest, he was placed on administrative leave.
