MSI just revealed its new AI Care Sensor for gaming monitors at Computex, which watches you to determine when the QD-OLED display needs to be turned off to prevent burn-in. It's currently only available on one display, and it doesn't come cheap. Many of the best gaming monitors now use OLED panels, and if used for extended periods of time, image burn-in is a possibility on these screens if they're left displaying the same image for extended periods of time. This was the topic of discussion last year as brands battled it out to provide the best burn-in warranty possible, but MSI just upped the game with this AI tech, which it claims can determine when you're actively using your display and turn it off as a protective measure if you're AFK. There aren't any games quite like the Anno series, and based on some hands-on time at a recent press junket, I can say that the latest entry has the potential to be an appealing on-ramp for history buffs and strategy game fans who haven't explored the franchise before. The previous entry in the series, 2019's Anno 1800, was seen as something of a return to form by longtime franchise fans, who weren't as thrilled with the futuristic entries that preceded it. It reportedly reached 5 million players, which is quite a lot for a PC-focused strategy title, so 1800 was a popularization moment for the franchise, too. Anno 117: Pax Romana, due later this year, aims to build on that momentum and turn the franchise into a crossover hit. While the Anno games have long been popular with a certain crowd (strategy gamers in Europe, and specifically Germany, where the games are developed), its addictive gameplay and top-tier presentation have the potential to appeal with even more people, provided publisher Ubisoft makes the right choices. Looking for a game that will say “git-gud” straight to your face with its gameplay and not a Soulslike? Yes, such magical games exist, and Sifu is one of the finest examples. Do you know what the best part is? It is available on Steam at a 60% discount! The Kung-Fu-focused game may look simple at first glance, but it is harder than it seems. You start young, full of energy, but lack experience. Each time you die, you grow older and bolder; however, can you beat the game without dying of old age? A fine test of skills and endurance is given through this indie title. Sifu is available on Steam at a massive discount The game looks amazing. | Image Credit: Sloclap Steam is not new to giving unbelievable game discounts and is a hub for gamers to get their favorite games. Marked as one of the biggest online game stores that surpasses all. Recently, they also put up Cyberpunk 2077 at a massive price cut, which shouldn’t be missed out on as well. Now that Sifu is even more affordable, many players can give this title a shot. It’s not free, but having a huge price cut does make it worth it. How much exactly? It’s only $15.99, and it’s quite a bit less than its original price of $39.99, making it a good time to purchase the game. If you’ve played Soulsborne games, the only way to beat the game is by becoming better at it. There is no difficulty slider, so players are forced to learn better. The challenging nature of games invites a specific group of players who like to face their demons. Related: After Xbox and PS5, Nintendo Dropping the Ball Has Made Steam Everyone’s Favorite Pal: “Steam is my home” Getting your butt kicked is natural in these games and Sifu is no exception. The feeling of getting over a tough challenge gives a satisfying feeling, which other single-player games can’t beat. Moreover, this is probably one of the best hand-to-hand combat games available on the market. So, you can try your luck with it. Initially, Sifu didn’t gain its well-deserved popularity, but as players started recommending it, it quickly became a massive seller. Additionally, thanks to Secret Level, an Amazon Prime animated series, this indie hit got a huge boost as well—an effect that has been helping many games like The Witcher, ****** May Cry, and many more. Will the game price decrease further? There is a high chance that it will cost even less. As games age, they tend to get cheaper on Steam, especially during the Winter *****. According to SteamDB, there is a pattern of Sifu costing less and less with every passing year. For instance, Sifu saw a 50% price cut in late 2023, which continued on for most of 2024. By the end of 2024, the price cut was 60%, which satisfies the trend. If the same trend continues, it might be possible that it will be available at a 70% discount this year. If not so, maybe 65% at best. Related: Is Xbox Game Pass Profitable? 6 Out of 10 Steam Top Sellers Are on Game Pass Right Now Their next discount on Sifu might not be as drastic, but it would be even cheaper for obvious reasons. If Steam users want to buy the game now, it won’t be that big of an issue. But if you want to buy it at an even lower price, waiting it out would be the right choice. How did you find out about Sifu? By watching someone else play or through Secret Level? Do you think it is one of the most difficult games on the planet? Let us know in the comments below. View the full article
After last month's bombshell legal ruling forcing Apple to allow the use of external payment processors for in-app purchases on iOS, Epic CEO and founder Tim Sweeney said Epic Games was "going to do everything we can to bring Fortnite back to the iOS App Store." That "everything" now includes a legal motion in the District Court of California seeking to force Apple to "accept any compliant version of Fortnite onto the US storefront of the App Store." Apple removed Fortnite from the App Store and terminated Epic's US App Store account in August 2020 after Epic snuck its famous Epic Direct Payments "hotfix" into the game (thereby setting off a years-long legal battle). On May 9, though, Epic used an iOS account for its Swedish subsidiary—which was recently used to take advantage of Europe's DMA policies—to submit a new version of Fortnite to the US App Store. Apple formally rejected that submission on May 15, saying in a letter shared by Epic that it believes the recent court rulings "do not diminish Apple’s bases and legal right to have terminated Epic Games’ [iOS developer account]." Even under that new ruling, Apple notes, the 2020 "hotfix" allowing Epic Direct Payments inside the app rather than via an external storefront would still violate Apple's current lawful restrictions on such practices. Last week, WizKids' Baldur's Gate 3 miniatures arrived, and they didn't exactly garner rave reviews. The public response seems to have been heard, and now WizKids is offering refunds to anyone who feels dissatisfied with their minifig boxes. "As a company, WizKids seeks to create products that enhance and add to the enjoyment of game play," the company said in an announcement. "We want our customers to build long-lasting, fond memories around game nights with friends and family using our products. "Unfortunately, we missed the mark on this goal with the D&D Icons of the Realms: Baldur’s Gate 3 Character Boxed Set. If you purchased this set through our online stores, we will be offering a full refund to those who are unsatisfied with their set." [Hidden Content] — Gale-LOD (@HighLODLar) May 13, 2025 WizKids went on to say it's aware of the reports, and its team is investigating the issues and taking action to both "make this right" and to ensure issues do not pop up again in future products. The $49.99 pre-painted D&D Icons of the Realms: Baldur’s Gate 3 Character Boxed Set started rolling out to buyers last week, and the results surprised more than a few. Opening the box to strange paint jobs, off details, and a seemingly melting Withers left purchasers feeling frustrated. WizKids is offering refunds through two options. If you bought the set online, you can contact *****@*****.tld to start a request. If you went through a local retailer, you can return it at the point of purchase for a full refund. The company is also offering a product replacement through its replacement site, where WizKids says it will work to provide a replacement that "meets the standards expected." It's not exactly the happiest ending for those hoping for a nice new set of Baldur's Gate 3 miniatures, but it's at least something for those disappointed with the outcome of their box of minis. Hopefully those affected can find some other figure-makers to fill the miniature-shaped hole in their hearts. Larian just bid farewell to Baldur's Gate 3 with Patch 8, its final major patch for its 2023 RPG that took the world by storm. The studio's CEO Swen Vincke has dropped some hints about what's next for Larian, but aside from it not being Baldur's Gate nor Dungeons & Dragons, there's not too much more to go on. DOOM: The Dark Ages seems slated to be the next great first-party offering from Xbox, with id Software's reboot trilogy garnering much praise since it began in 2016, but the latest entry seems to have fallen a little flat on PC. George Miller is famous for many things, but most people will know him for his exceptional Mad Max films, all of which remain some of the best post-apocalyptic media ever made. Both Fury Road and Furiosa brought the iconic series into the modern era with a fresh new lead and a lot of intriguing backstory and lore to help flesh out its version of a very *********** post-apocalypse. Of course, Miller has done a lot of other things - the movie *****: Pig in the City and Happy Feet included - but one wouldn't tag him as a fan of video games. View the full article
