The first official trailer for Call of Duty: ****** Ops 7was shown to the world during the recent Xbox Games Showcase, and while the shooter will still be making its way to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, Nintendo fans were left disappointed as Activision made no mention of a release on the company's new console, the Switch 2. Awaken Realms and Lookout Games are teaming up to create an updated special edition of classic worker placement game Agricola, in which the art, graphic design, and even meeples are given as much love and attention as Uwe Rosenburg's timeless rule set. It's a fresh lick of paint for a revered board game that will no doubt be extremely popular - but is it really Agricola if it actually looks like a game a human being could play and enjoy? GOG has just unveiled its latest project: one-click mods. The PC platform said that as installing mods can be a bit of a time sink, the One-Click Mods project lets players browser, install, and play mods "faster and easier than ever." That's why it has collected a "curated" selection of premium mods and directly packed them with the corresponding game for "the smoothest installation." Furthermore, GOG said "mods are [also] an essential part of video games preservation," letting community-made mods fix bugs and restore cutscenes, quests, and characters to games, as well as "freshly-made new content" by fans. We can't wait to get Skyblivion into your hands later this year! Thanks to our friends over @GOGcom for helping us make that easier and more accessible. [Hidden Content] — Skyblivion (@TESRSkyblivion) June 8, 2025 So far the depository includes mods for Heroes of Might and Magic 3: Complete, Doom 3, Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines, and Fallout 4. For the former, you'll get an expansion that adds new factions, campaigns, creatures, artifacts, and numerous quality-of-life improvements, such as a working multiplayer lobby system, while the latter is a one-click installation of Fallout: London, a standalone storyline set in the *** during the apocalypse events from Fallout 4. For Doom 3, you get the Phobos mod, which is a prequel to the original game, delivering a "narrative-driven, classic-style FPS experience with modern enhancements," and for Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines, you get the unofficial patch which fixes numerous bugs "left unresolved by the original developers," as well as restored and enhanced cut content such as quests, levels, characters, and dialogue. That's not all, though; Skyblivion, the hotly anticipated mod for The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim Anniversary Edition, is also coming to GOG later this year and will be a part of the One-Click Mods project. Skyblivion is the volunteer-based project by the TESRenewal modding group, which aims to remake The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion in Skyrim: Special Edition. Bethesda has given the project its blessing, despite releasing The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered itself in April. Bethesda even gifted Oblivion Remastered keys to the entire Skyblivion modding team. This is just the latest in a slew of projects from GOG designed to preserve games. Last year, it announced its preservation program to ensure the longevity of games like Resident Evil, Fallout: New Vegas, and The Witcher 2. It follows increasing concerns from developers and players alike that the move toward online- and digital-only games will see some made unavailable entirely, such as The Crew, which Ubisoft removed from ***** and took offline in March 2024. Despite its larger-than-life popularity, the Pokémon franchise hasn't been immune to waves of criticism in recent years for its lackluster visual performance and somewhat dated gameplay mechanics. Compared to the disappointment that each Pokémonentry inadvertently brings with it, Game Freak's latest endeavor proves the studio has much more capability than they've previously shown. Whether it's from a longer development cycle or less pressure from Nintendo, Game Freak could be delivering one of the most anticipated games of 2026, and it isn't anything close to Pokémon. The Holtzman Amplifier is an important quest item in Dune Awakening if you want to complete the Scrap Mettle series of quests. It's easy to miss, as completing this set of missions is not part of the main storyline. Instead, these side contracts will help you earn extra rewards to boost your early game progression. Let's learn how to find and use the Holtzman Amplifier on your journey in Arrakis. We begin by starting the Scrap Mettle: Wrecking Crew quest. Dune Awakening Scrap Mettle: Wrecking Crew quest guide Starting the Scrap Mettle: Wrecking Crew quest is pretty simple: travel to Griffin's Reach and complete the first part of the Scrap Mettle: Copper Required (self-explanatory). This will begin the Wrecking Crew quest. Next up, you'll make your way to Wreck of the Alcyon in Dune Awakening. Screenshot via Funcom The exact location is shown in the screenshot above. Travel to the east of the Griffin's Reach at Hagga Basin South. It's quite a journey, so carry a lot of water. Going north through the rocky structures is the quickest way, but avoid the Sandworms (constantly moving and keeping track of the radar). The Wreck of the Alcyon has a few Scavengers; finish them first. Then, loot all the available stuff and look for the Holtzman Amplifier. There's a chance for the enemies to respawn if you take too long, so keep that in mind. Go to the main entrance of the location, and then go right towards the back of the ship. You'll find a room with the yellow globe hologram in it. Continue to the back wall, and you'll see a small chest. Open the chest, and you'll get the Holtzman Amplifier. Make sure to loot the other chests, as you'll find plenty of valuable items that can be used for crafting blueprints. Using it isn't rocket science; just return to Griffin's Reach and deliver it, which automatically begins the Scrap Mettle: Fremen Fields quest. Dune Awakening, staying true to the MMO genre, offers plenty of items and vehicles to unlock, but it's important to repair all of them throughout your journey. All items, including your vehicle, will take damage over time. Their durability will go down, and they can stop functioning without repairs. The process of repairs varies slightly depending on whether it's an item or your vehicle. You can also repair building parts, but that's done with the crafting tool. Let's first look at how to repair general items, followed by vehicles. Table of contentsHow to repair items in Dune AwakeningHow to repair your vehicles in Dune AwakeningHow to repair items in Dune Awakening For repairs, you'll need a Repair Station. The blueprint has to be researched first from the Research section. To do so, complete the Maintenance quest in the Vermillius Gap Journey. Once done, you'll get the option to research and craft the Repair Station. Place the Repair Station in your base and interact with it. Place the item you want to repair and supply the required raw materials. The process will take a little while to complete, and your items will be as good as new. The amount of resources you need will vary based on the item and its condition. Screenshot via Funcom How to repair your vehicles in Dune Awakening Whether you're using an Ornithopter or a bike, vehicles will take damage. You'll have to repair them before major journeys to prevent them from breaking down. For vehicles, you don't need a Repair Station. Instead, your Welding Tool should be more than good enough. For most vehicles, you'll need Welding Wire. The Fabricator produces both the Welding Tool and Welding Wire. The Fabricator unlocks pretty quickly (again, research it to unlock the blueprint), and you can position it on your base. Always craft plenty of Welding Wires on your travels, as repairing vehicles can quickly empty your stock. Whether you're playing the original Half-Life or Crowbar Collective's beloved remake ****** Mesa, your approach to basically every battle is to run and gun; between the turbo-boosted HEV suit and immense destructive power of the Gauss gun, as far as the HECU soldiers and Xen aliens are concerned, Gordon Freeman is just a death-spraying orange blur. Rogue Point is very, very different. Death is swift, tactics are vital, and even a single enemy can ruin your day. A could-be return to simpler, purer FPS games, Crowbar Collective draws on elements of Payday 2, Tarkov, Rainbow Six Vegas, and even a little Left 4 Dead - but the Half-Life remake dev has its own ideas, too, and now you can see them in action for yourself via Rogue Point's first ever public playtest. The collective desperation for Hollow Knight: Silksong has evolved. Rather than people getting all up a height about the prospect of getting any news about it, they've now been left up a height due to confusion around some news they have gotten about the game. Cue Team Cherry having to step in to offer a bit of clarification about Silksong's Xbox Showcase cameo yesterday. In case you were washing your hair, Silksong popped up during the bit that saw Microsoft introduce its handheld, the ROG Xbox Ally. There was the usual hardware spinning around and looking cool, plus Xbox's Sarah Bond saying when Silksong popped up on the handheld's screen that the game'll be "available at launch and in Game Pass when the Ally releases later this year". Now that the biggest videogame showcases of the summer have come and gone, I'm sad to say we didn't get a Hollow Knight Silksong shadow drop or launch date announcement. Team Cherry's internet-breaking Metroidvania did come up a few times, though, getting name-dropped by Deadpool during the Summer Game Fest showcase, with five seconds of new footage also debuting at the Xbox event. In arguably the biggest reveal of the Xbox Game Showcase, the Asus Xbox Ally X and Xbox Ally have been confirmed, and both are due for release this year. Despite one big upgrade in the CPU department, I was also hoping for another upgrade to the battery, but Asus is persisting with its 80Wh option. The Asus Xbox Ally X is shaping up to be one of the best gaming handhelds, and it's got a lot more Xbox branding than it was initially believed to have when it appeared in recent leaks. This could well be most console gamers' first foray into handhelds, and, on paper, it's an ideal way to start. Read the rest of the story... Completing Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 3: Super's Island Stories quests is a great way to earn tons of starting account XP while learning more about this season's storyline. The Heart of the Sprites mission focuses on *****'s perspective of the story. How to complete Heart of the Sprites quests in Fortnite The Heart of the Sprites quest series introduces you to a new Sprite added to Chapter 6 Season 3: Super. If you're unfamiliar with Sprite mechanics or just can't find the specific one the quest looks for, it can be tough to complete this mission before the round ends. Let's dive deeper into it. Talk to ***** Your first objective is to find *****. Upon tracking the quest, you'll find her exact location above Shogun's Solitude on an island. The easiest way to reach this spot is to approach it from the east and then use a nearby zipline to travel across the river directly to her destination. Screenshot by Destructoid Upon arrival, you'll find ***** alongside a Sprite Shrine. Remember this shrine, as you'll need it very soon. For now, talk to ***** to hear about the Sprites and their role in helping her survive the Spirit Realm. You'll need to check in with them to ensure they're doing okay after the season's Live Events, prompting you to search for them. Find and use a Dash Sprite With your new objective in mind, it's time to find a Dash Sprite. Thankfully, you're next to a Sprite Shrine, letting you track nearby Sprites so you don't have to go on a complicated scavenger hunt. Doing this highlights them in orange. Screenshot by Destructoid In this case, they'll mostly likely be on the ground directly north of you. You can use the zipline or run down the mountain to reach them. For me, these were Dash Sprites, but there's a small chance that won't be the case for you. If it isn't, travel around Fortnite's map and interact with various Sprite Shrines until you see these small, gold-orange Sprites wandering around. Once you find a Dash Sprite, pick it up and toss it onto the ground to activate its powers. You'll notice gold coin-like objects hovering around your character, signaling that you can now double-jump to activate its abilities. Do this to knock out the next two quest objectives. Bring the Dash Sprite to a Shrine The final task of the Heart of the Sprites quest is to return the Dash Sprite to a nearby Shrine. If you're near *****'s island, you can return here and hand in the Sprite to wrap up the mission. Otherwise, follow the objective marker to the closest Shrine, rewarding you with a Boon, a rare-quality weapon, and some account XP. Congratulations, you've completed the Heart of the Sprites quest and are one step closer to wrapping up Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 3: Super's Island Stories missions. The Witcher 3 was, you may have heard, a large game. But it was once an even larger game.
