  1. The studio behind sunny third-person adventure Rime and time loop ******* mystery The ***** Brutale has filed for insolvency, with the heads of the studio quitting their roles. Tequila Works had their funding from Tencent pulled at some point, according to Eurogamer Spain, leaving the company without an important flow of cash. Which may explain why they cancelled a game last month and ***** off some of their workers. It now looks like that was just the first sign of a more serious problem which has sadly resulted in the dissolution of the studio. Read more View the full article

  8. Mass Effect contains a lot of different races that inhabit the Milky Way, and each one has a rich and unique history. However, since players see the game from the point of view of a human, they aren't present to witness the events that defined the lives of other races. As a race that joined the rest of the inhabitants of the Milky Way in galactic travel and politics, humans haven't witnessed many events that shaped the relations and cultures of other races that work with them after first contact was made and the resulting war resolved. 9. Way back when ******'s Souls came out it was hailed as a throwback to an earlier time in gaming, full of mysteries left to the player to unravel while being bludgeoned by the game's merciless difficulty. The gameplay was refined in Dark Souls and perfected in Bloodborne, but the heart of the new sub-genre's standards were there in the PS3 classic. A third-person view, customizable characters earning one skill point per level, experience that can be lost unless spent at a safe zone, a willingness to jettison anything resembling "fair" in ****** encounters and traps, and all the rest of the now-familiar tropes came together to define how this new type of game would play in ******'s Souls, but underneath these surface elements is a game that hearkened back to From Soft's early PS1 title King's Field. 10. Neve Gallus is a shadowy figure operating within the bustling metropolis of Minrathous in Dragon Age: The Veilguard. As an investigator with ties to the secret Shadow Dragons, she is part of the city's underbelly. However, she works to protect its vulnerable citizens from the various threats that lurk in the darkness, so she's more of an antihero. But you can also make people in the browser-based game, and if you’re wanting to make someone like Kanye West, you’ll need to get creative. To make the ********* rapper in Infinite Craft, you need to combine a few elements, namely Adam, Angel, Music, and *******. But you won’t start with these, so you’ll have to first find the correct combinations of items to get these individual building blocks. Without knowing the exact recipe, it may take you much longer than you’d expect, but that’s why we’re here to help. Here’s the fastest way to make Kanye in Infinite Craft. View the full article
  12. Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 has plenty of untapped potential when it comes to future ******* DLC, but players already have a hint at what the next melee ******* will likely be. Despite Space Marine 2 already having a wide array of unique and beloved battle tools from the franchise, there are plenty of iconic weapons in 40k that could easily make the cut in future content updates. While it's uncertain whether Focus Entertainment plans to add a primary or melee ******* to its next update, fans already have an idea of which classic ******* will make a return in the near future. 13. ***** by Daylight's latest update brings back the 2v8 mode, which was first introduced in July 2024. 17. I know I'm not alone in feeling a bit adrift post-Baldur’s Gate 3. No RPG since has offered the rewarding exploration of Larian’s modern classic, nor the satisfaction of developing a character from mangy ****** into unstoppable powerhouse. So I approached Drova with unfair scepticism. This modest looking pixel art RPG released last month and has flown under the mainstream radar, though it's already amassed a strong cult following and a very busy subreddit. I’m not saying it’s the next Baldur’s Gate 3—far from it—but it rewards exploration and novel approaches to problem solving, which is more than can be said for any blockbuster RPG I've played this year. It takes a while to see why Drova has won the adoration of ********* genre devotees. For me, it took about four hours into this reportedly 40-hour game. The playable character is a nobody adrift in a ********** hand-to-mouth world that by all evidence is slowly finding its feet after the collapse of a mostly forgotten and seemingly well-advanced civilization. The people of Drova forage for berries and rodent meat when they’re not performing gruelling menial labour for the self-designated authorities of this bleak world... Read more.View the full article

  22. The best new item introduced by Stardew Valley's 1.6 update is a food item players can't actually eat. Now available on all platforms, version 1.6 (technically 1.6.9) represents one of the most expansive updates to Stardew Valley yet. With new crops, new farm types, and, most importantly, new items, even players with hundreds of hours in the game have found tons to explore since the most recent updates. View the full article
  23. Fallout 4 may be the best game in the series as far as mechanics are concerned but fans who want to embrace the role-playing elements that made Fallout: New Vegas so popular ought to check out this impressive mod. While factions play a massive part in Fallout 4's story, the Sole Survivor's impact on them feels almost negligible when compared to the dynamic system that governs how NPCs respond to players in the Mojave Wasteland. It's a feature that was sorely missed but thanks to the modding community, it's back in a big way. View the full article
  24. Welcome back, friends, to more of the cheapest games and controllers going. If I was you (and I never played them), I'd score those incredibly cheap Borderlands compilations on Switch, the highly reduced Logitech PC peripherals, and the equal parts challenging / satisfying Dragon's Dogma 2. See you tomorrow for more! In retro news, I'm fondly remembering the 12th birthday of Mirrors Edge, a 'First Person Parkourer' pioneer. I recall being mighty impressed when DICE took a break from its usual Battlefield shenanigans to (almost completely) ditch gunplay in pursuit of FPS platforming flow and good old-fashioned flykicking fascists in the face. Yeah, the story was short and not particularly riveting, but the speed-wall-running was sublime, the sense of vertigo intense, and I adored the juxtapositioning of a complex and dark totalitarian world presented in hyperbright minimalism. How they never did a VR version of this is beyond me. This Day in Gaming - Body Harvest (N64) 1998. eBay - Mirror's Edge (PS3,X360) 2008. Get - Persona 3 FES (PS2) 2008. 25. Fortnite fans who were excited to grab a pair of Kicks on November 12 will have to wait a little longer before they're available. The Fortnite team seems to be constantly working on figuring out what's next for the game, and Kicks stood out as an idea that could take the game in a bold new direction. Although shoes are a smaller detail of any Fortnite character's design, if they can be monetized, it's important that players are satisfied with how well they're displayed. View the full article
