  1. You're probably pretty familiar with Batman's origin story by now, so thankfully James Gunn has said there's no plans to show it in the new DCU. Read more View the full article
  2. Fallout New Vegas remains the darling child of the series. Obsidian's creation might not have quite the bombast and scope of Bethesda's entries, but its narrative, world-building, and characters make it one of the most beloved RPGs on PC to this day. Even better, play it in 2025 and most of its uneven spots - of which there are quite a few - are smoothed over with mods. Continuing that trend, a new addition to the lineup has just completely overhauled melee combat, making now an ideal time to check in on the fan-favorite game after the success of the Fallout show on Prime. 7. Infinity Nikki's Shooting Star Season is the first event of 2025, and kicking off the season is the chance for players to experience once again one of the most majestic feelings IN has offered thus far: taking a ride on the soaring wings of the Grand Blue Crane. This crane is a companion to the one that flies the skies above Florawish, patrolling the area between the city and the Dream Warehouse, but catching a ride on it can be a bit tricky for players who don't know its route. 9. Waystones are an important resource in Path of Exile 2's endgame. Once you've completed the entirety of the main quest and officially entered the endgame content, you'll unlock a new mechanic called the Atlas of Worlds - or, more colloquially, mapping. This is a unique game mode in which you'll travel around the map from node to node, defeating enemies to reclaim each area from corruption. However, in order to unlock new, higher-level maps and continue making your way through the endgame quest "Cataclysm's Wake," you'll need to use unique items called Waystones. 10. Returning to The Sims is rather difficult after playing the more polished Sims 4 for so long, and there are many reasons for that steep shift in difficulty between these versions. While there might be a fair bit of nostalgia related to The Sims for many players, the reality of returning to the original might be a bit harder than expected. Unlike The Sims 4, The Sims was designed as a much more difficult game, and it's easy to forget just how difficult it was after being spoiled by newer versions. View the full article
  11. Many The Sims 4 players hastily upload their lots directly from Build mode. While this is quick and easy, it often skips the vital test to see if the actual building and objects are functional. Many players use the Gallery to populate their town and provide adequate lots for their Sims. But, it can be a burden if the fridge is inaccessible, the toilets are blocked, or if various floors can’t be easily accessed. View the full article
  12. Fallout: New Vegas was famously released in a bit of a state. While subsequent patches dealt with the worst of the quest-breaking bugs and stability issues, there was another problem with the Nevada Wasteland. A lot of it looked suspiciously empty, and not in a post-apocalyptic way. More of a "we didn't have time to finish the clutter pass" kind of way... 13. Indie RPGs are not nearly as common as one may think, especially incredible ones like Sea of Stars. They're a rarity, largely because they require so much time and resources to make. Fortunately, there are a handful that not only perfectly encapsulate the very best aspects of the genre, but can absolutely go toe-to-toe with the AAA RPGs currently on offer. View the full article
  14. Baldur's Gate 3 includes a collection of potions called elixirs, which can be used to enhance your characters for a full adventuring day. Many of them can be made using ingredients found throughout the world, while others are only found as randomized treasure, but all are useful in some form or another. From providing damage resistance to preventing the negative effects of surprise rounds, each elixir has its perks, but only one can be active on a given character. View the full article
  15. Your Hideout is your sanctuary in Path of Exile 2, an important resource you'll return to repeatedly as you play through the endgame content. The Hideout functions more or less like a fully customizable, always accessible town: it contains every crafting station possible in Path of Exile 2, along with an assortment of merchants and any decor you may decide to put down. But it's not just an exercise in interior design: it's also crucial to certain endgame functions, including the Atlas of Worlds mapping system that you'll use to travel and progress. 16. When adding Meowscarada to your team in Pokémon Go, it’s worth considering what attacks you want to teach it and the best moves it can learn. Regardless of how good it is with its attacks, if it doesn’t have a good set of stats, you might be better off using a different Pokémon. If you do want to add this Pokémon to your team, knowing how to get the most use of it is still important. Here’s what you need to know about the best moveset to teach Meowscarada in Pokémon Go. 18. Although it saw releases for different platforms arrive over the course of nearly a year, Hogwarts Legacy was first launched in February 2023, making it already almost two years old at the time of this article. The immense popularity of the wizarding world's ARPG has left fans wanting more for quite some time but has received very few updates. Avalanche Software has made it clear that a sequel to the game is in development, which means that, hopefully, in 2025 there should be more information about what prospective students of Hogwarts can expect to see coming. 19. Xbox Game Pass is perhaps most known for its offering of massive, AAA games to justify its monthly price tag. 25. Grand Theft Auto V, or simply GTA V, has been Rockstar Games’ best-performing title to date. While the entire GTA franchise as a whole has churned out best-sellers since its inception, GTA V adds so much content and replayability to the game that did not exist in the games that came before it. The main story of the game is quite satisfying, being able to play with three protagonists instead of one, but what happens when you end it? Enter GTA Online, an online version of Los Santos with all of the sights and characters from the main game, except you get to create your own character and try to rise to the top of the food chain with them. While there are a lot of activities in GTA Online that allow you to make a name for yourself and gain reputation, one of the more fun mission types introduced in the main game made its return in the online version as well.
