There’s nothing quite like a fast-paced match in Marvel Rivals—colorful abilities flying, team synergies clicking (or not), and just enough chaos to make you question your life choices. But some players have found themselves squinting harder than Spider-Man in a foggy alley, trying to figure out if they should be running toward or away from a glowing circle of death—or, in this case, life. Redditor spidoxx kicked things off with a meme-worthy observation: “Why can’t the enemy Luna ult just be red?” Cue a squinting Spider-Man meme and a flood of players commiserating. While some stayed on meme patrol with more squinty Spideys, others dived into the serious side of the discussion: Luna Snow’s ultimate ability is confusing if both teams are using her, and players want it fixed. Last year’s annual CPU tug-of-war was cleanly won by AMD, its obscenely fast Ryzen 7 9800X3D almost singlehandedly leaving Intel and their Core Ultra chips in a heap of mud and P.E.-spec rope. Coming soon to press that advantage are the Ryzen 9 9950X3D and Ryzen 9 9900X3D, a pair of even higher-spec processors that headlined AMD’s plethora of CES 2025 hardware announcements. No pricing (or exact release date) on these yet, but they both up the core and thread counts over the 9800X3D while peaking at higher boost clock speeds. And, of course, they share the same 3D V-Cache design that makes the 9800X3D such a superlative CPU in the first place. If you don’t know what this is and how it helps game performance, imagine how much faster you could eat Wotsits if you had a massive bucket of them on your desk at all times, instead of having to get up and walk to the kitchen to grab individual packs. In this case the Wotsits are data, the bucket is 3D V-Cache, and the hastened ruination of your digestive system is games running faster. Read more View the full article
Good news for mini gaming PC builders looking for the highest spec graphics card, at least in part. The new flagship Nvidia GeForce RTX 5090 Founders Edition graphics card has been added, along with other RTX 50-series gaming GPUs such as the RTX 5080, to Nvidia's SFF-Ready certification list for small form factor PC builds. ******* Nvidia RTX 40-series cards like the RTX 4090 were excluded from this list due to their size, meaning that SFF builders couldn't guarantee using the best graphics card available in their SFF-Ready PC case. In a surprising turn of events, though, the new flagship RTX 5090 Founders Edition looks to be an incredibly slim affair, with a reduced PCB size and a clever new cooler helping to reduce it to only a two slot thickness. This makes producing a top spec, mini gaming PC build a possibility this time around. Read the rest of the story... GTA 6 is taking us back to Vice City - or at least a new, modernized version - and it's bound to be epochal. But despite the warm weather of Rockstar's take on Miami, and the enormous size and scale of San Andreas, Liberty City remains the developer's greatest architectural achievement. In Grand Theft Auto 4, it's a dense, living and breathing metropolis. In GTA 3, it's more of a playground - Portland, Staunton Island, and Shoreside Vale are filled with opportunities for criminal mischief and cartoon violence. But there's one key feature that makes your journey through Liberty City feel more thrilling. If you remember Grand Theft Auto 3 for its cinematic car chases, one former Rockstar developer explains the trick behind their creation. Read the rest of the story...
