  1. We've got tons of deals to get through today and not much time to detail them. Obviously, the biggest ones on my radar include the headliner deals of Monster Hunter Wilds and Sniper Elite Resistance, but also Assassin's Creed Shadows (which was too verbose a title to fit in there). As always, I've even sprinkled in some old gold gems going for next to nada. Get amongst it all below! In retro news, I'm celebrating the twin 37 year birthdays of some NES greats. The original Metroid needs very little introduction, as it's a franchise that continues to kick goals and acquire new fans today. Conversely, the bodaciousness of Rad Racer might be lost on many of you. It was basically one of the best racers on the system and featured prominently in a 1989 film—Nintendo's 1h 40m advertisement called The Wizard. 3. Destiny 2 fans speculate that the legendary hand cannon The Palindrome will be making its way back into the game alongside the launch of Episode: Heresy in February, based on a mysterious tweet posted on the Destiny 2 team's official Twitter page. With Destiny 2 recently slumping to one of its lowest points ever in terms of player count and retention, many fans are hoping that Bungie has been saving the best episode for last in the hopes that Episode: Heresy will help revitalize the game prior to its next content drop later this year, currently known as Codename: Frontiers. 5. It's safe to say that Chernobylite 2 doesn't lack ambition. While its first-person survival RPG predecessor was relatively successful, the upcoming sequel is aiming much higher, switching to a third-person view and adding loads more RPG systems. However, to realize that ambition, developer The Farm 51 is looking for some help, and has just launched a Kickstarter to help make Chernobylite 2 "*******, better, and more badass." 9. There are several aspects about Hyper Light Breaker that you have to figure out for yourself, and it might take multiple runs for everything to click. One of these features is the Shrines, and how you can use them to assist you in healing. When you interact with a Shrine, they’re designed to replenish your medkits. You use your medkits after you’ve taken some damage, replenishing any lost health. However, if you’re only started the game not too long ago, using medkits won’t mean much to you. However, the Shrines are still important, and you’ll want to find as many as you can during your travels. Here’s what you need to know about how to heal at Shrines and how they work in Hyper Light Breaker. View the full article For verified travel tips and real support, visit: [Hidden Content]
  10. For those making their way over to SMITE 2 from the game’s predecessor, there are a lot of changes happening that you have to figure out for yourself. Based on the game’s history, though, several players are wondering how cross progression functions in the new game. The first game SMITE didn’t begin on consoles. Instead, it was featured on PC, and slowly added consoles as a viable way for players to continue playing or those who want to enjoy from the comfort of their couches. Because SMITE added consoles later, SMITE 2 begins with consoles. If you want to switch from one platform to the other, it’s good to know, if you buy something from an Xbox, whether you expect to use it on your PC. Here’s what you need to know about SMITE 2‘s cross progression and how it works. View the full article
  11. Terraria's final update, Journey's End, arrived in May 2020—except its actual final update came out several months later, in October 2020. Ah, but then "unfinished business" resulted in the Labor of Love update in 2022, something developer Re-Logic said "we needed to do before we could feel fully comfortable moving on." But then instead of moving on, another "definitely final update" was announced in 2022... Read more.View the full article
  12. World of Warcraft is adding the Blazing Royal Fire Hawk and the Golden Ashes of Al’ar mounts as rewards for two promotions in China. Though they are currently unavailable in other regions, these new World of Warcraft mounts are reimaginings of the Pureblood Fire Hawk and Ashes of Al’ar, two incredibly rare raid boss drops. 13. In Baldur's Gate 3, Paladins and Clerics are the two divine spellcasters. They both get access to some of the same spells and can fill similar roles in the party composition. Though they are often considered to have fixed roles as damage dealers and healers, there is a lot more to them and a considerable amount of overlap in their abilities. 14. The Legendary Advanced Bow is excellent in Palworld because it outshines the regular version in performance and quality. It's a significant upgrade for anyone who wants to do well in tough end-game battles, especially against difficult enemies. Getting this weapon requires a lot of time and effort because you must gather rare materials found only in hard-to-reach places. The process of getting the bow isn't just about collecting items; it also involves a bit of luck and persistence since some materials come from random drops or unexpected events. 15. Netflix Though the fourth season of Netflix’s live-action Witcher series still doesn’t have a concrete release date, Netflix has finally announced when we’ll see yet another animated take on Geralt of Rivia. Originally, Netflix intended for The Witcher: Sirens of the Deep to debut some time late last year, but the steamer revealed today that the movie is now set to premiere on February 11th. Based on Andrzej Sapkowski’s short story “A Little Sacrifice” from Sword of Destiny, Sirens of the Deep tells the tale of how Geralt of Rivia (Doug Cockle) and Jaskier (Joey Batey) get caught up in an age-old conflict between humans and merpeople. In a new trailer for the movie, things seem simple enough to Geralt as he’s first hired to put his special skills to good use. It makes sense that humans would want a witcher’s help to deal with a deadly series of sea monster attacks. The gig’s also easy money for Geralt and a solid way to keep his mind off Yennefer of Vengerberg (Anya Chalotra). There’s something nefarious at the root of the interspecies war, though, and by the time Geralt realizes he might have gotten things wrong, he can only do but so much to stop the bloodshed. Compared to the live-action series, Sirens of the Deep looks like it’s going for a more spectacular (in the sense that the action’s big) depiction of Geralt’s adventures. And while it might not connect directly to the events of Netflix’s last animated Witcher movie or the live-action Witcher’s fourth season, it should make the wait a little more bearable. 19. Outer space seems like the ideal arena for an RTS game. An enormous expanse that lends itself to beautiful backdrops and offers up so much freedom for futuristic sci-fi themes to blossom, it's no wonder it's become the setting for so many in the genre. Well, here's a newcomer to that ever-growing list of space RTS games that's just hit early access, Annihilate the Spance, which prides itself on in-depth starbase building and an "endless" stream of spaceship units. 23. When I first got to sit down and play a couple dozen turns of Civilization 7 last year, I had one key takeaway: It was a lot more different from its predecessors than I was expecting. And for me, that was definitely a good thing. Leaders and civs have been divorced from each other on the startup screen—you can have Ben Franklin lead Egypt or Cleopatra lead Rome. You pick a new civ for each of its three historical ages, similar to Humankind. Each civ has its own perk tree. Districts have been significantly reworked from Civ 7. It's a lot. Maybe the biggest departure from one mainline Civ game to the next in the franchise's history... Read more.View the full article
