  2. While Dragon Age: The Veilguard introduces lots of great new characters to Thedas, there are also plenty of well-loved characters who return for the series' fourth installment. The first member of Rook's team, met during the game's introduction sequence, is Lace Harding, who previously appeared in Dragon Age: Inquisition as a scout for the organization. 3. Marvel Rivals players are being treated to an unlikely crossover that brings the Advanced Suit 2.0 from Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 into the game as a new skin. PlayStation announced the news itself in a post on X/Twitter, revealing a first look at how NetEase Games is reimagining the classic video game outfit for its new hero shooter. This sleek Spider-Man suit made its debut as an original design for Insomniac Games’ Marvel’s Spider-Man, going on to make appearances in all three entries in that series. The main element setting this suit apart from the rest is its now-iconic white spider symbol, with its appearance in Marvel Rivals cementing it as a surprise collaboration with Sony and its console-exclusive superhero game. Expect Spider-Man’s Advanced Suit 2.0 to swing into the in-game store on January 30, the same day Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 comes to PC. Marvel Rivals launched in December and already offers a smorgasbord of unlockable suits, but this new Spidey suit arrives as an especially unique addition. Along with its ties to the massively popular PlayStation series, the Advanced Suit 2.0 will once again be worn by a Spider-Man who is voiced by Yuri Lowenthal. The actor has played Peter Parker in all three of Insomniac’s Spider-Man games and also happens to have provided his talents for Marvel Rivals’ take on the character. In other words, those who pick up the costume come January 30 should feel right at home as they thwip their way to victory. NetEase's decision to bring Spider-Man’s Advanced Suit 2.0 into the fold gives players another piece of content to look forward to among everything that dropped with Season 1: Eternal Night Falls last week. This first season of content added Fantastic Four representatives Mister Fantastic and the Invisible Woman as new playable characters, with The Thing and Human Torch set to join in just a few weeks. Much more is on the way, too, as creative director Guangyun Chen recently promised to launch at least one new hero every month and a half. While we wait to try out that new Spider-Man suit for ourselves, be sure to read up on some of the custom skins players have modded into the game. You can also learn about all of the balance changes introduced with Season 1 and how some players are using an Invisible Woman ability to detect what they believe are bot players. 21. After Riot Games reworked the Blue Essence system and others in its 15th Season, League of Legends saw a significant outrage among players who pointed out a significantly reduced currency income. The developer has now taken a look at the situation and promised to fix it as soon as possible. In an address to players on Jan. 15, Riot came clean about its flawed implementation of the new battle pass system in League. “We meaningfully screwed up,” the company wrote, and vowed to amend the system to make Blue Essence earning much higher for players across the board. While the changes did positively impact more casual players, Riot said its hardcore player base has suffered significantly, with their Blue Essence income dropping by up to a whopping 75 percent. With the changes, which are set to go live with the Act 2 Pass, players should be seeing up to a 22-percent increase in their currency income compared to pre-pass systems, and this includes both casual and more hardcore fans. 22. Leading up to the launch of the Nvidia GeForce RTX 5090, there was a huge amount of speculation that the new gaming GPU could come with a power rating of 600W or more, but when it was eventually officially unveiled the RTX 5090 power marker was set at just shy of that, at 575W. Zotac, however, has seemingly taken this leaked figure as a challenge, as its Gaming GeForce RTX 5090 Amp Extreme Infinity comes with a 600W power consumption rating. As the presumptive heir to the best graphics card crown, the RTX 5090 is set to be a monstrously powerful card, with 50% more CUDA cores than the Nvidia RTX 4090, improved ray tracing performance, support for new DLSS 4 Multi Frame generation and more. However, for those still rocking a modest power supply and hoping to upgrade, this Zotac card is proof that you'll most definitely need to upgrade. Read the rest of the story... 23. We're still several weeks away from the expected AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT on ***** date, with most retailers at best listing the cards as available for pre-order and most still not showing the cards at all. However, one Danish retailer has pulled the trigger, listing the cards as fully available with "shipped same business day" delivery. There is at least one major problem with this listing, though. Putting aside that the retailer will likely not in fact honor the ***** so far ahead of the card's official launch, there's also the fact that the retailer is asking $1,284 for the card. AMD's latest may well stand a great chance of becoming the new best graphics card for the mid-range sector but that's only if it costs less than half that price. Read the rest of the story...
