Moto G56 Design With Dual Rear Cameras, Colour Options Spotted in Leaked Renders
Moto G56 is expected to make its debut soon as the successor to last year’s Moto G55 model. While the company has yet to announce any plans for a new G series smartphone, a new leak shows us what the Moto G56 could look like. The leaked renders hint at a design that is very similar to its predecessor. The upcoming phone is said to be available in four colour options, and three of them have already been revealed in the new leak. The Moto G56 is tipped to come with a 6.72-inch display and a 5,200mAh battery. It could be equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity 7060 chipset.
Moto G56 Design (Expected)
Dutch website Nieuwemobiel shared images of the purported Moto G56. The handset is seen in ******, blue and green colour options, and they will reportedly be marketed as Pantone ****** Oyster, Pantone Dazzling Blue, and Pantone Dill, respectively. It is said to come in a fourth Pantone Gray Mist shade as well.
The alleged renders show the Moto G56 from all angles and indicate that it will sport a display with a hole-punch cutout. It has significantly thick display bezels at the bottom, similar to the Moto G55. It is seen featuring a dual camera setup at the back. At first glance, the rear camera module appears to be very similar to Motorola’s Edge series smartphones.
Moto G56 Specifications (Expected)
The purported specifications of the Moto G56 were leaked earlier this month alongside a design render. It is tipped to come with a 6.72-inch full-HD+ (1,080×2,400) LCD screen with 120Hz refresh rate and Gorilla Glass 7i coating. The new handset could run on MediaTek Dimensity 7060 SoC with 8GB RAM and a maximum 256GB of storage.
Moto G56’s dual rear camera unit is said to include a 50-megapixel main camera with Sony’s LYT-600 sensor and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide sensor. It is said to carry a 32-megapixel selfie shooter. It may offer IP68 and IP69 certifications for dust and water resistance. It could be equipped with a 5,200mAh battery with support for 33W wired charging.
The Moto G56 is expected to cost EUR 250 (roughly Rs. 23,700) for the 8GB+256GB variant.

Yesterday it was SHEEP and today it was GEESE, so I’m fully expecting more animal plurals tomorrow – ZEBRA, maybe.
I had an easy start with all the letters for RANGE and the next three letters opened up nicely, with minimal thinking required.
I experienced some deja-vu with UNITE, as we had that word recently and I guessed UNTIE instead. The aforementioned GEESE was the only word that took some brain noodling, as I tried to think of words that started with G and ended SE, but eventually realized there was only one possibility.

Bungie Confirms ‘Unauthorized Use’ Of Art After Artist Claims Her Work Is Present Throughout Marathon
Bungie Confirms ‘Unauthorized Use’ Of Art After Artist Claims Her Work Is Present Throughout Marathon
Artist Antireal claimed yesterday that she found her art spread throughout the environment in Bungie’s recent Marathon alpha. With copious examples (and others online finding even more as people pour through alpha footage) as proof, Antireal’s posts on Bluesky began to blow up, with many calling out Bungie for what looked like apparent plagiarism. Less than 24 hours later, the Marathon Dev Team X account posted a thread confirming the “unauthorized use” of Antireal’s work.
“We immediately investigated a concern regarding unauthorized use of artist decals in Marathon and confirmed that a former Bungie artist included these in a texture sheet that was ultimately used in-game,” the X post reads. “This issue was unknown by our existing art team, and we are still reviewing how this oversight occurred. We take matters like this very seriously. We have reached out to [Antireal] to discuss this issue and are committed to do right by the artist.”
The thread continues, “As a matter of policy, we do not use the work of artist without their permission. To prevent similar issues in the future, we are conducting a thorough review of our in-game assets, specifically those done by the former Bungie artist, and implementing stricter checks to document all artist contributions. We value the creativity and dedication of all artists who contribute to our games, and we are committed to doing right by them. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.”
You can see Antireal’s first claim of art theft in the image below, a set of comparison pictures – the evidence is pretty damning, and as more people find more examples of her art in Marathon, it’s looking more widespread than originally believed.
Sadly, Antireal is no stranger to this kind of art theft. “I don’t have the resources nor the energy to spare to pursue this legally but I have lost count of the number of times a major company has deemed it easier to pay a designer to imitate or steal my work than to write me an email,” she writes on Bluesky. “In 10 years, I have never made a consistent income from this work and I am tired of designers from huge companies moodboarding and parasiting my designs while I struggle to make a living.”
In an interview with The Washington Post, Antireal said, “I’d kind of had to learn to shut up about these cases because they’ve happened so constantly over the past 10 years. It was tiring to be viewed as ‘someone who complains’ more than as an artist. But the response this time has been overwhelmingly understanding and I’m extremely thankful for the support.”
That response is likely what prompted Bungie to finally step in, as the amount of evidence surfacing of Antireal’s art appearing in Marathon is undeniable. Some of Antireal’s art found in Marathon dates back as far as 2017, while others are more recent. Antireal also says that Marathon’s art director Joseph Cross has followed her on X for years (and a few others from Bungie) but that the two have never communicated.
Bungie claims the lifted art is the result of a former artist’s texture sheet, but is investigating how this stolen art slipped through the cracks – cracks that Cross is likely responsible for keeping an eye on, considering he’s the game’s art director.
This is not the first time Bungie has plagiarized an artist’s work. In 2023, it announced it was compensating and crediting an artist whose art was mistakenly used in a cutscene in Destiny 2, as reported by PC Gamer.
Marathon launches September 23 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. With so much of Antireal’s art currently in Marathon, it’s unclear what will happen in the future regarding the game’s release. Between needing to make right this situation, and a lukewarm reception to the game’s recent Alpha, it wouldn’t be surprising if Bungie and publisher Sony Interactive Entertainment delayed the game to address these issues.
In the meantime, check out the first gameplay from Marathon.

A Ukrainian F-16 crashed while fighting off a Russian attack after an ’emergency situation’ on board. The pilot survived.
A Ukrainian F-16 crashed while fighting off a Russian attack after an ’emergency situation’ on board. The pilot survived.
Ukraine’s air force said one of its F-16s crashed while fighting off a Russian attack.
It said the jet took out three targets but had an issue on board while trying to stop a fourth.
Ukraine has now lost at least three F-16s.
Ukraine said that one of its F-16 fighter jets crashed while repelling a Russian air attack, but its pilot survived.
In an announcement on Friday, Ukraine’s air force said that preliminary data showed the pilot destroyed three aerial targets and was targeting a fourth when an issue occurred with the US-made jet.
“An emergency situation occurred on board,” it said, according to a translation by Ukrainian publication Militarnyi.
The air force did not elaborate on what the situation was or whether the Russian targets were drones, missiles, or aircraft.
But it said that the pilot safely ejected after moving away from a populated area, and was quickly found and evacuated by a rescue team.
It described the pilot as safe and stable.
The air force said the incident occurred at around 3:30 a.m. local time on Friday and that a special commission was investigating what happened.
Ukraine has lost at least two F-16s before this incident, including one that crashed last year while battling Russian missiles.
Ukraine’s F-16s, a fighter jet originally produced by General Dynamics and now manufactured by Lockheed Martin, have been used to defend cities and stop Russian attacks.
But while that role has been important, many air warfare experts describe it as one that Ukraine has been pushed toward because it doesn’t have enough of the jets to use in other roles.

Ukraine started requesting F-16s soon after Russia launched its full-scale invasion in February 2022, but the first ones didn’t arrive until the summer of 2024.
Some allied countries wanted to send them sooner, but required permission to supply the US-made jets, which the US was initially reluctant to give.
The Biden administration was worried their arrival would lead to a Russian escalation and that it would take too long to train Ukrainian pilots to use them and integrate them into its military. However, the US eventually allowed other countries to send the jets.
Ukraine has been pledged around 85 F-16s from the Netherlands, Belgium, Norway, and Denmark, though not all of them have arrived.
None of Ukraine’s F-16s have come from the US, although it is sending spare parts.
Air warfare experts said that not enough F-16s were given to Ukraine for it to be able to use them offensively

Ukraine’s F-16s are older models that were previously used by other air forces, and are more limited in their abilities.
Despite this, Ukraine is seen to be performing well with the jets.
Ret. Col. John Venable, a 25-year veteran of the US Air Force and a former F-16 pilot, told *** in January that Ukraine’s air force has made huge leaps and its pilots have demonstrated impressive skills.
Troels Lund Poulsen, Denmark’s defense minister, told *** in February that Ukraine has dispelled any doubts that it could not handle the jets.
“The Ukrainian pilots and the Ukrainian armed forces and air force have also shown that they’re able to deal with this new capacity,” he said.
Among other achievements, it’s claimed that a Ukrainian pilot took out six cruise missiles in a single flight, a feat no pilot had achieved before with the jet.
The pilot’s survival from this latest ****** is likely good news for Ukraine. Pilots are often seen as just as important, if not more so, than the jets themselves, as they take a long time to train and are hard to replace.
Many air warfare experts say some F-16 losses are to be expected, and that it’s not inherently a bad sign that Ukraine has lost some of the jets.
Michael Bohnert, an air-warfare expert at RAND Corporation, previously told *** that Ukraine needs to be able to take risks with the jets, and that “if any of the F-16s make it to the end of the war, they probably weren’t used hard enough.”
The remaining F-16s pledged by Ukraine’s allies are still due to arrive, and Poulsen, Denmark’s defense minister, told *** he hoped more countries would commit to sending additional jets: “More F-16s are needed in Ukraine.”

The Top Is Fast Approaching for Trane Tech Stock
The Top Is Fast Approaching for Trane Tech Stock
In 2020, Ingersoll Rand (NYSE:) spun off its industrial tools business and renamed itself Trane Technologies (NYSE:), a leading HVAC and refrigeration solutions manufacturer. Investors in both companies have enjoyed great returns since, but we’re going to focus solely on Trane today. The stock is up six-fold over the past five years, climbing from a pandemic low of $70 to over $420 a share now.
One problem the bulls are now facing is that Trane Tech trades at a forward P/E ratio of 33, which is far from cheap. Overvalued stocks can remain so for a long time, however. So the second, and ******* problem for Trane investors, is the Elliott Wave pattern on the weekly chart below.
A complete five-wave impulse to the upside from the bottom in 2009 strongly suggests that Trane Tech’s uptrend is approaching its limits. We’ve marked the pattern (1)-(2)-(3)-(4)-(5), where two lower degrees of the trend are visible within wave (1). The 2020 Covid-19 ****** fits in the position of wave 4 of (1).
Wave (2) took place during the 2022 bear market, while wave (3) was a wonder to behold. Wave (4) ended shortly after touching the 38.2% Fibonacci support level last month. If this count is correct, the current surge to a new record must be the fifth and final wave. According to the theory, a three-wave correction follows every impulse.
Wave (5) could exceed $450 and even go for $500 in the short term, but instead of joining the bulls now, we think that investors should use to opportunity to take some profits. The anticipated retracement could drag Trane Tech stock down to $250 or lower. A 40% to 50% reduction in the company’s valuation would actually make a lot of sense, not only Elliott Wave-wise.

Switch 2 Supply Should Be Ready For Demand In US, Says Nintendo Of America Boss
Nintendo of America sounds confident that Switch 2 supply should be in pretty good shape this year domestically. Sure, preorders sold out almost instantly for the June 5 launch, but company president Doug Bowser believes they have a good production plan for 2025–including the busy holiday season.
Speaking to IGN, Bowser was asked about meeting Switch 2 demand in the US. “As we look at our plans here in the US, we do believe we’ll have production and supply that will allow us to meet consumer demand,” said the Nintendo of America president. “We know there’s been strong positive reaction to Nintendo Switch 2 early on and we’ve seen that through our preorders, but we do have a plan to have a continuous flow of product that’ll be available through the holidays.”

Now Playing: Nintendo Switch 2 – Official System Overview Trailer
This echoes what Nintendo president Shuntaro Furukawa said earlier this month. He stated that production wasn’t a driving factor in forecasting 15 million unit sales of the upcoming system. Instead, he highlighted that Switch 2’s higher price compared to the original Switch could have the biggest effect on hardware sales this year.
Digital Foundry recently examined Switch 2’s specs and discovered that VRR is not supported in docked mode for the system. Nintendo has apparently backtracked quietly on this feature, though the tablet screen does offer VRR support. Other new tidbits about the hybrid console revolve around settings to prevent battery deterioration and per-game customization for the GL/GR buttons.
Switch 2 will cost $450 in the US when it arrives next month, alongside Mario Kart World.

ITS claims *** first for 50G-PON business trial
ITS claims *** first for 50G-PON business trial
ITS is claiming to have become the first *** provider to successfully trial the delivery of dedicated internet access services over 50G passive optical network (PON) in both lab conditions and a live business customer environment.
The dedicated B2B wholesale access full-fibre network provider has an XGS-PON-enabled network that is said to pass around 25% of the ***, with the rest of the country reached through the infrastructures of operator partners which include BT Wholesale, Sky, PXC and Virgin Media Business.
ITS believes the market demand for business-grade symmetrical 10Gbps services is already well established in its base. It adds that traditionally served via point-to-point fibre, 50G-PON now offers a more sustainable and efficient way to deploy high-capacity services using existing fibre infrastructure.
ITS believes key use cases for 50G-PON include 5G deployment; large multi-occupancy units and mixed-use developments; 10Gb+ business services; and environmental sustainability. For example, with the increasing need for dense 5G coverage, ITS says 50G-PON can deliver the high-throughput fibre connectivity required to support small cell deployment, especially in mobile not-spot areas where localised fibre access can close the gap.
In addition, as vertical high streets and large-scale residential or mixed-use buildings become more common, 50G-PON is seen as being able to support the need for always-on, high-speed access such as future-proofing digital cities with capacity for localised, high-bandwidth demand.
50G-PON coexists with XGS-PON and GPON on the same network, significantly boosting bandwidth without additional civil works and enabling *** fibre infrastructure to evolve without repeated, disruptive build cycles. To ITS, this means business customers requiring 10Gbps symmetrical and above can now be served more cost-effectively, with less fibre strain and faster deployment.
In the trial, ITS’s network and operations teams worked closely with product and commercial colleagues and strategic partners to understand how 50G-PON can address emerging needs across the market. Initial results are said to have highlighted 50G-PON’s potential to significantly increase fibre performance while reducing cost and environmental impact compared with traditional point-to-point builds.
During the trial, the ITS team observed 50G-PON speeds of 41.8 Gbps downstream and 19.2 Gbps upstream. This was while using combi-optics to deliver GPON and XGS-PON services, allowing ITS to deliver 50G-PON leased line services over existing networks without disruption to service.
Assessing the trail’s results and what it could mean for the company going forward, ITS chief technology officer Mike Goodwin said that while the industry roadmap points to 2026 or 2027 for commercial roll-out, business customers were now ready for 50G-PON.
“It is one of ITS’s strategic objectives to stay at the forefront of pioneering technology such as this,” he said. “We know from the recent ISPA conference, the conversation was about who survives and thrives. It comes down to great products, great service, and great value 50G-PON ticks all those boxes – and more.
“Access networks are no longer built the way they used to be,” said Goodwin. “Whether it is local authorities planning infrastructure, developers designing for digital or mobile operators needing backhaul for 5G: the network must scale with demand. Third-generation PON like this is how we deliver that.”
Going forward, ITS is building a bank of scalable, real-world use cases to support the roll-out of 50G-PON and shape how next-gen networks are adopted by enterprise, public sector, infrastructure partners and smart city developers. A trial with Nelson-based Limitless Digital Group is the first of several planned tests across the ***.

Gabon’s ousted ex-president and family arrive in Angola
Gabon’s ousted ex-president and family arrive in Angola
Gabon’s former President, Ali Bongo, who was deposed in a 2023 coup, has left the country and is now in Angola, the authorities there have announced.
The Angolan presidency added in a statement posted on social media that Bongo’s family had been released from detention and were with him in Luanda.
Bongo’s wife and son, Sylvia and Noureddin, faced corruption charges and had been imprisoned in 2023.
They have not yet publicly commented on the charges, however Mrs Bongo’s lawyer has described her detention as arbitrary and ********.
The family’s release comes after Angolan President João Lourenço, who currently heads the African Union, visited Libreville and held talks with his Gabonese counterpart Brice Oligui Nguema – the former general who led the coup against Bongo before being winning a landslide in last month’s presidential elections.
Gabonese prosecutor Eddy Minang says the release of Mrs Bongo and her son is merely provisional, owing to poor health and that legal proceedings against the two will continue.
In photos released by Angola’s presidency, Bongo can be seen being greeted upon his arrival at the airport, with a woman who appears to be his wife behind him.
Ali Bongo, whose father Omar Bongo ruled Gabon for more than four decades, led the country for 14 years until the 2023 coup.
After his toppling he was placed under house arrest where he reportedly remained, although Gabonese authorities say he was free to move about as he wished.
His wife and son were detained in prison and then released earlier this week following a request by the Bongo family’s lawyer, according to Mr Minang.
Reacting to their release, opposition leader Alain Claude Bilie-by-Nze said current President Oligui Nguema had bowed “to international demands after what everyone understood to be an abuse of power”.
Sylvia and Noureddin Bongo both stand accused of embezzling public funds, with Mrs Bongo specifically facing charges of forgery, money laundering and falsifying documents.
Bongo has been vocal in condemning what he described as the “violence and torture” faced by his wife and son, although the authorities had denied subjecting the pair to cruel treatment.
During their 14 years in power, the Bongo family had been accused of accumulating wealth for themselves at the expense of the country – allegations they deny.
Despite Gabon being an oil-rich nation, a third of its population lives below the poverty line, according to the UN.
In a sign of warming relations between Gabon and its continental counterparts, the African Union readmitted the country to its bloc late last month after its membership had been suspended due to the coup.
In a statement the body’s chairman, Mahmoud Ali Youssouf, said that he hoped “Gabon’s example will inspire similar pathways toward constitutional restoration across the continent”.
The military leaders of West African countries Mali, ****** and Burkina Faso have resisted pressure to hand power back to civilians.

Broncos prop Taupau ‘regrets’ endorsing coach bagging
Broncos prop Taupau ‘regrets’ endorsing coach bagging
Brisbane prop Martin Tapau says he regrets “liking” an Instagram post that criticised the coaching methods of Michael Maguire.
The 35-year-old, who has played just the one NRL game this year, appeared to endorse a lashing of the Broncos coach by former New Zealand international Elijah Taylor, who played under Maguire at Wests Tigers.
After four losses in the past five games, Maguire has been accused of over-training the players and being too intense during the week, leaving them flat for games. It’s a subject Taylor addressed in a social media post.
“A lot of people are asking me what’s wrong with Madge (Maguire) and what’s wrong with the Broncos,” Taylor, the 186-game NRL veteran, said.
“One, it’s his intensity. I’ve never seen a coach ride the game so hard.
“After a win the world is a better place.
“After a loss you’re off to a ******** and someone will be getting cooked at the video session.
“Two, training methods. Ninety-five per cent of the time on the field it’s full contact.
“You haven’t done an NRL pre-season until you have done a Michael Maguire pre-season.
“Three, time efficiency. Let’s have a meeting for a meeting for a meeting. I’d get home from training and the kids don’t know who I am anymore.”
Taupau “liked” the post, but wished he hadn’t.
“Today I liked a video by Elijah Taylor talking about Michael Maguire’s coaching methods,” Taupau said in a statement.
“I regret this as it was not my intention to endorse the video. I removed the like immediately after.
“I want to make it clear. I am thoroughly enjoying being coached by coach Michael Maguire and will continue to do whatever I can to help the Broncos win a premiership in 2025.”
Brisbane prop Pat Carrigan addressed the Taupau post.
“I think internally we are dealing with that at the moment. Marty released a statement, he has made a mistake around those sorts of things,” Carrigan said.
“We know where we are going as a club. We are all buying in. We know we have to train hard and we know we have to do the things to get where we want to be and that’s be a premiership team.
“Marty has addressed it. As a teammate I will support him, but also where we want to go as a club. We know what we are in for and we are well and truly signed up for it.
“I spoke to him last night. We are dealing with him internally. He released a statement saying he is apologetic.”

‘The economic impacts … could be even worse’
‘The economic impacts … could be even worse’
A study by researchers from the University of New South Wales, published in Environmental Research Letters, found that if global temperatures rise by 4 degrees Celsius (7.2 degrees Fahrenheit), the average person’s wealth could shrink by 40%.
Earlier models had predicted smaller effects, but the Guardian reported that the financial toll on ordinary people could be much worse. Even if warming is limited to 2 degrees Celsius (3.6 degrees Fahrenheit), the study estimates global gross domestic product per person could drop by 16% — a steep jump from a previous 1.4% forecast.
What is the new climate wealth study?
Led by Dr. Timothy Neal, the UNSW team updated traditional economic models to factor in threats like extreme weather disasters and supply chain failures. Older forecasts assumed that damage in one region could easily be balanced out by gains elsewhere.
But extreme weather doesn’t stay local. A flood in one area can lead to food shortages, shut down factories, and disrupt trade across the globe. By weaving these real-world risks into their model, the researchers offer a clearer and more urgent view of how climate change could reshape economies.
Why does the new climate study matter now?
Understanding these risks changes how people think about the cost of action. For years, many models painted a softer picture of climate damage, making it seem like the price of inaction was manageable.
Mark Lawrence, a professor of practice at the University of Adelaide, supported the new findings, saying in the Guardian, “If anything, I believe the economic impacts [of climate change] could be even worse.” His warning lines up with concerns from Swiss Re, one of the world’s largest reinsurers, which projects that unchecked global heating could slash global GDP by $23 trillion by 2050.
Watch now: How bad is a gas stove for your home’s indoor air quality?
Across the world, weather disasters are already hurting crops, pushing food prices higher, and hitting communities hard. Climate-linked trade disruptions are putting strain on economies today, a reminder that faster action can’t wait.
How does climate change impact the cost of living?
Families are already feeling the early costs of rising global temperatures. Grocery bills are climbing, energy costs are rising, and insurance premiums are getting steeper. If supply chains continue to break down, the price of everyday goods could keep going up.
However, there are ways to slow the damage and protect both the environment and every family’s future. Investing in solutions that address various issues linked to a changing climate and supporting the development of better food systems can help create a cleaner and more secure future.

S&P 500: Rally Continues as Market Nears Key Resistance
S&P 500: Rally Continues as Market Nears Key Resistance
The extends gains, breaking the 5,900 level – will the momentum sustain?
The S&P 500 gained 0.41% on Thursday, as investor sentiment remained bullish on trade talks, Middle East investments in the U.S., and a potential peace deal in Ukraine. The index is now testing the key resistance zone of 5,900-6,000, nearing its record high from February (6,147.43).
The market is expected to open 0.4% higher today, further extending these advances. However, investors should be cautious as I think that the market may be getting overbought in the short term, which could lead to a downward correction or consolidation. All eyes will be on the Michigan Sentiment data release at 10:00 a.m.
Investor sentiment has improved, as reflected in the Wednesday’s AAII Investor Sentiment Survey, which reported that 35.9% of individual investors are bullish, while 44.4% are bearish.
The S&P 500 index is now approaching the important 6,000 level, extending its rally. This appears to be a continuation of the strong uptrend that began in April.
Nasdaq 100 Nears 21,500
The tech-heavy approached the 21,500 level yesterday before pulling back, ultimately closing just 0.08% higher – basically moving sideways in a consolidation. Today, it is expected to open 0.5% higher, likely re-testing the 21,500 resistance level. This comes despite a 5% drop in Applied Materials (NASDAQ:) stock in pre-market trading following its earnings release yesterday.
Showing Continued Investor Confidence
The volatility index has been trending lower as stocks extend their gains, indicating less fear in the market. However, investors should remember that the lower the VIX goes, the higher the probability of a potential market reversal.
Historically, a dropping VIX indicates less fear in the market, and rising VIX accompanies stock market downturns. However, the lower the VIX, the higher the probability of the market’s downward reversal. Conversely, the higher the VIX, the higher the probability of the market’s upward reversal.
S&P 500 Futures Contract: Trading Along Recent Highs
This morning, the contract is trading higher, indicating a positive open with futures up about 0.4% in premarket trading.
Support is currently near the 5,870 level, marked by the recent consolidation. The futures are showing continued strength following Thursday’s gains, though traders should be cautious of potential profit-taking after the rally this week.
Conclusion
The S&P 500 is set to open higher today, extending its recent rally as traders await the . The bullish momentum continues, supported by positive developments in trade relations and improved economic outlooks.
Here’s the breakdown:
S&P 500 gained 0.41% on Thursday and is testing key resistance of 5,900-6,000.
The S&P 500 reached its highest level since March 3, breaching the 5,900 level and extending gains for those who bought based on my Volatility Breakout System.
Futures point to a 0.4% higher open, suggesting continued bullish momentum.

Fortnite Now Lets You Speak To Darth Vader With the AI-Generated Voice Of James Earl Jones
Fortnite Now Lets You Speak To Darth Vader With the AI-Generated Voice Of James Earl Jones
Fortnite’s Star Wars-themed Galactic Battle event has been running since the beginning of the month, letting Star Wars and Fortnite fans alike live out their dreams of becoming a daring spacefarer in Disney’s massive sci-fi universe. Today, the event has brought back one of Star Wars’s most famous villains, but with a twist–players can directly speak to him, with the AI-generated voice of James Earl Jones providing responses in real time.
Vader has replaced the Samurai Darth Vader variant on the map, specifically at the Vader Samurai’s Solitude location in the bottom-left corner. Players can challenge him to a duel, and if they are victorious, Vader will join them for the remainder of the match–and speak with them throughout by pressing the specific prompt.
Players can use an in-game prompt to hear Vader speak any phrase they wish, though that does come with limitations–some players are reporting that topics like violence to real-world people, religion, politics, and more are off the table. At least one user has inadvertently caused Vader to use profanity, however.
The family of James Earl Jones provided a statement regarding the event on the official Fortnite blog. “James Earl felt that the voice of Darth Vader was inseparable from the story of Star Wars, and he always wanted fans of all ages to continue to experience it,” the statement reads. “We hope that this collaboration with Fortnite will allow both longtime fans of Darth Vader and newer generations to share in the enjoyment of this iconic character.”
Fortnite is available now for free on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, PC, and mobile devices.

Piastri leads McLaren one-two in first Imola practice
Formula One leader Oscar Piastri has led Lando Norris in a McLaren one-two in first practice for the Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix that ended early after Gabriel Bortoleto crashed his Sauber.
The ***********, winner of four of the last five races, lapped the Imola circuit with a fastest time of one minute 16.545 seconds on the softest tyre compound, with Norris 0.032 slower on a sunny afternoon on Friday.
Piastri leads Norris by 16 points after six races, with the 24-round season now starting its European phase after an opening run in Asia, the Middle East and United States.
The session was red-flagged and did not restart after Brazilian rookie Bortoleto crashed into the tyre wall with some three minutes remaining. He stepped out unhurt.
Carlos Sainz was third on the timesheets for Williams, 0.052 off the pace, with Mercedes’ George Russell a further 0.002 slower.
Seven-times world champion Lewis Hamilton, limbering up for his first race in Italy as a Ferrari driver, was fifth and 0.096 off the pace.
Pierre Gasly was sixth for Alpine with Red Bull’s four-time world champion Max Verstappen seventh, Williams’ Alex Albon eighth and Bortoleto ninth with teammate Nico Hulkenberg completing the top 10.
“I can’t rely on the rear. It feels like I’m drifting everywhere,” complained Verstappen, last year’s winner at Imola, over the radio.
Mercedes’ 18-year-old rookie Kimi Antonelli, the only Italian on the starting grid and preparing for his home debut, was 13th fastest.
Argentine rookie Franco Colapinto, making his debut for Alpine after replacing dropped *********** Jack Doohan, lapped 17th fastest.
Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc, who was unwell on Thursday and skipped his media duties, was 12th and ran wide into the gravel at one point.

‘Mad King’ Donald Trump Torched Over ‘Especially Jarring’ Claim To U.S. Troops In Qatar
‘Mad King’ Donald Trump Torched Over ‘Especially Jarring’ Claim To U.S. Troops In Qatar
President Donald Trump stirred new controversy when, during his tour of the Middle East, he was accused of using U.S. troops stationed in Qatar as props to boost his false election claims.
Speaking at the Al Udeid Air Base southwest of Doha on Thursday, Trump again falsely asserted he won the 2020 election against now-former President Joe Biden. He also, yet again, floated the unconstitutional idea of extending his stay in the White House even longer.
“As you know, we won three elections, OK?” Trump told the assembled troops. “And some people want us to do a fourth. I don’t know, I’ll have to think about that.”
Trump then referenced new campaign merchandise, saying: “You saw the new, the new hat. The hottest hat is, it says, ‘Trump 2028.’ We’re driving the left crazy.”
Watch here:
Trump also reportedly thanked the service members for their political support.
The troops appeared to remain largely silent throughout the president’s address.
On social media, though, the criticism was loud:
