GTA 6 Began Development Later Than You Might Think GTA 6 Began Development Later Than You Might Think Take-Two, the company that owns Rockstar Games, has clarified when exactly Grand Theft Auto VI began development, and it might be later than you thought. In the company’s latest earnings report, Take-Two said the game began development “in earnest” in 2020 after Red Dead Redemption II came out in 2018. A key clarifier here is what Take-Two means by “in earnest.” We don’t know for sure, but it’s likely this is in reference to full production as opposed to early-stage development. Oftentimes in game development, smaller teams map out projects before ramping up. You need a javascript enabled browser to watch videos. Additionally, Rockstar’s teams brought GTA V to PS4 and Xbox One in November 2014 and the PC in April 2015. Versions of the game for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S came out in 2022. In total, GTA V has sold more than 215 million copies. Another key thing to know is that for the past 10+ years, Rockstar’s teams across the world have worked in tandem on whatever the studio is making next, and this likely applies to GTA 6 as well. Also during the earnings briefing, Take-Two said the “ambition and complexity” of GTA 6 is greater than any past Rockstar release. CEO Strauss Zelnick said GTA 6 was delayed from Fall 2025 to May 2026 due in part to a need for additional polish as part of Rockstar’s effort to achieve “perfection.” “In this case there was an opportunity with a small amount of incremental time, we thought, to make sure Rockstar Games achieves its creative vision with no limitations. And I supported of course that approach,” he said. “While of course, delays pain me–how could they not?–the most important thing to do is to support your teams in their search for perfection.” Addressing the long wait for GTA 6, Zelnick told The Game Business that while fans have been waiting more than a decade for the next entry in the numbered series, he believes Rockstar’s teams have been giving fans what amounts to “a new Grand Theft Auto release” multiple times per year via GTA Online. “Rockstar has been supplying content to Grand Theft Auto Online, some of which is so robust that if you go back 15 years, it would have counted as a standalone title,” he said. “One could really argue that Rockstar has been putting out a new Grand Theft Auto release a couple of times a year. Same thing holds true for Red Dead Online, which has been on-going. And in the most recent quarter, Grand Theft Auto Online and Red Dead Online has exceeded expectations.” GTA 6 launches on May 26, 2026 for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. In other Rockstar news, it’s been reported that the studio is bringing Red Dead Redemption 2 to Switch 2. Source link #GTA #Began #Development Pelican News View the full article at [Hidden Content]

CoreWeave, Archer Aviation, Carnival: Trending Tickers CoreWeave, Archer Aviation, Carnival: Trending Tickers 00:00 Brian Sozzi Now time for some of today’s trending tickers. We are watching CoreWeave, Archer Aviation, and Carnival. Joining me now, we’ve got my Morning Brief co-host, Madison Mills here on set. First up, we got to talk a little CoreWeave here. Now, here’s the scene setter for CoreWeave, essentially, surging after NVIDIA reported its stake in the cloud computing company rose to 24.18 million shares, 7% of the outstanding figure for shares. We’re taking a look at CoreWeave shares moving higher by about 18.6% right now on this. 00:35 Madison Mills Yeah, it’s interesting because obviously NVIDIA was a key backer behind the IPO in March here, and they’re continuing to increase their stake, leading to a huge pop in the stock. It’s up nearly 19% here, but some of the key fundamental headwinds remain regardless of who is backing the company. I was speaking with Gil Luria, an analyst who covers this stock earlier this week, and he said one of the key challenges here is the customer base and the company’s capital structure. And as a reminder, after the company’s earnings results, the revenue came in better than anticipated, a pop in the stock as a result, but then you had an increase in their debt load to, I believe, near 20 to 23 billion dollars. And that is a question mark for the company going forward about what that debt is going to look like given that we are obviously in a higher for longer interest rate environment as well, and what the ROI on that is going to look like. Also, the biggest customer for the company, OpenAI, they’ve got a multi-year commitment, but then when you have OpenAI continuing to announce further investments in the Middle East this week and, of course, committing to Stargate, that $500 billion project in the United States, questions about how sticky that relationship with CoreWeave is going to be. 02:04 Brian Sozzi Yeah, that OpenAI relationship, the strategic deal, as they remarked on their earnings, saying that that added $11.2 billion in revenue backlog for them as well here. So that a positive, and then additionally they then announced a partnership with IBM delivering some more compute capacity for IBM’s granite models. We’re also tracking this company, Archer Aviation, extending gains on its announcement that it will be the official air taxi provider for the Olympic and Paralympic Games in 2028. Shares of Archer moving up by about 8.9, nearly 9%, right now. 02:43 Madison Mills This is a company that I’m familiar with. I’ve been able to tour their manufacturing facilities in California previously. They’re certainly one of the key movers when it comes to eVTOLs, electric vehicle takeoff and landings. Joby is as well, but we’ve seen Archer really being able to outpace its competitors. Of course, a question mark remains in regulation. The FAA has a lot of headwinds to deal with at the moment that don’t revolve around getting clarity on what the regulatory backdrop is going to look like for these eVTOLs. Regardless, we’ve continued to see the stock surging here. You just took a look at that share price over the past year, and it’s certainly been an outperformer. 03:29 Brian Sozzi Yeah, I did an interview from inside one of the Joby ones, the competitor ones. It was still on land, though. 03:36 Madison Mills You didn’t let me go inside of one. That’s cool. 03:40 Brian Sozzi I didn’t get to get air, though, in it at all. I didn’t 03:46 Madison Mills I went to a fake one. They wouldn’t let me go inside a real one, which is like 03:51 Brian Sozzi Maybe that Maybe I did the same. Maybe Maybe Maybe in our future, we’ll get inside a real one, and we’ll go up, electric vehicle. Yeah. That’s that’s what we’ll do. The first CEO interview from the air, it’ll be you and me. 04:05 Madison Mills I’m proud of you. 04:14 Brian Sozzi Something a little bit more attainable for us, perhaps, a cruise ship, Carnival getting an upgrade to hold from reduce at HSBC, removing the sell equivalent rating on Wall Street here. Take a look at shares of the cruise line operator. It’s up by about 1% here on this news. 04:34 Madison Mills Yeah, taking a look at, I mean, I’m interested in why the stock is up over 1.5% because of an upgrade because it’s just removing the stock sell equivalent rating. It’s still a hold rating. It’s just an upgrade from reduce to hold. Having said that, obviously a little bit of a move to the upside in the stock. The analysts here are talking about how booking trends have been strong following the post-COVID-19 pandemic restart, talking about how slower profit recovery versus peers was a major concern, but having said that, cruise operators in general have demonstrated flexibility in right-sizing costs, itineraries, and having just a little bit more flexibility when it comes to capex than their peers in the travel space as well. Also noting here, CCL could do better in a serious downturn relative to other. So perhaps that is a sign of potential positive move for the stock going forward. 05:32 Brian Sozzi All right, we’re going to be watching it and the cruise line operator and all the vessels that they operate going forward from here. Maddie, thanks so much. 05:41 Madison Mills Thank you. 05:42 Brian Sozzi And you can scan the QR code below to track the best and worst performing stocks of the session with Yahoo Finance’s Trending Tickers page. The Last Of Us Meets Toy Story In This Grisly Crossover The Last Of Us Meets Toy Story In This Grisly Crossover The Last of Us and Toy Story are polar opposites, but what would happen if these worlds collided? You’d get one of the creepiest–albeit unofficial–crossovers of all time, as demonstrated by one talented artist. Crafting with Kafei recently posted a video detailing how this grisly mash-up came to be. After finding action figures of Woody and Buzz Lightyear in a charity shop, they were inspired to reimagine the characters with a The Last of Us spin. Unfortunately for Buzz, that meant that the Space Ranger was going to catch a ****** case of the Cordyceps *******, while Woody got a more grizzled makeover and was ready to make a last stand against his best friend. A lot of work went into this diorama piece, as new parts had to be sculpted, built, and sewn together to reimagine them. Buzz got the business end of a Dremel tool, his face sawn off and filled with materials to create a convincing Cordyceps infection, while Woody’s new wardrobe and facial hair made him look like a dead ringer for Joel. The two were then positioned in a diorama base that could easily double as a stage in The Last of Us. It’s full of nice little touches and Easter eggs, like grimy walls, a spreading fungal infection, and moody lighting. In related news, The Last of Us TV series showrunner–and game creator–Neil Druckmann recently explained the “dramatic reason” behind the introduction of fungal spores in the second season. If the creepy diorama and the TV series have you interested in checking out the source material, you can also explore our guide on how to play The Last of Us games. Five Free Movies to Stream Now Five Free Movies to Stream Now In the frantic dark, a canoe carrying a shaman and an explorer makes its way across the Amazon River. Rounding one bend, the canoe re-emerges a moment later, carrying still the shaman but this time with another explorer, decades later. Time and space appear to collapse in “Embrace of the Serpent,” a film about cycles, souls, memory and the revolving door of human violence. It is one of five movies this month that wind their ways through history and reveal the horrors — also the hilarity and absurdity — of ideology and power. Within these stories are people straining to escape from under the thumb of forces larger than them. ‘Embrace of the Serpent’ (2016) Stream it on Tubi. The story at the center of the Colombian director Ciro Guerra’s film — explorers entering the heart of a jungle and reckoning with the waste colonial violence has wrought — will bring to mind the seminal works of Conrad and Coppola. That lineage casts a big shadow, but “Embrace of the Serpent” is a masterwork in its own right. That’s not only because it considers colonialism from an Indigenous perspective, via Karamakate, an isolated shaman aiding two different white researchers 40 years apart. The film also serves as a kind of hypnotic elegy about the sweep of power across time, along with the peoples and cultures, the songs and stories, that are lost in its grasp. “Where are the chants that mothers used to sing to their babies?” wonders the shaman, the last of his people. “Where are the stories of the elders, the whispers of love, the chronicles of battle?” ‘Wendy and Lucy’ (2008) Stream it on Tubi and PlutoTV. In an Oregon grocery store, Wendy, a homeless loner trying to make her way to Alaska to find work, is caught stealing two cans of food for her dog, Lucy. The young bag boy, with a gold cross dangling from his neck, demands that the cops be called. The rules, he insists, must apply to everyone. The scenario is like an Ethics 101 thought experiment and emblematic of Kelly Reichardt’s quietly shattering film about the cold, hard struggle of staying alive and sane in this country. After Wendy is hauled away for her petty crime, Lucy goes missing. Wendy’s frantic search for her dog drives the film, as one stroke of bad luck turns into a story of falling through the cracks. “You can’t get an address without an address, you can’t get a job without a job,” laments an elderly security guard that Wendy befriends. “It’s all fixed.” Later, when Wendy is forced to sleep in the woods for a night, she wakes up to a strange man towering over her. “They treat me like trash, like I ain’t got no rights,” he hisses into the wind, to nobody. It’s a terrifying moment for Wendy. The real horror, though, is perhaps that the man was once her too, desperately trying to prevent one stumble from becoming a descent. ‘Timbuktu’ (2014) Stream it on Tubi. What’s most striking about this mosaic portrait of Timbuktu, as the Malian city exists under the rule of Islamist radicals, is what’s absent. Flitting between scenes of jihadists and the townspeople they lord over, there is little of the bombastic violence our imagination expects. Oppression, after all, usually means silence rather than chaos. There is, in this way, an economical elegance to Mauritanian director Abderrahmane Sissako’s film. The aftermath of the film’s inciting incident, when a cattle herder kills a fisherman, is captured in one wide shot: the herder runs from one end of a lake, while the wounded man is left, gasping for life. It’s an entire parable in one astonishing shot. Soon, the shepherd is brought before the jihadists, who operate according to the harsh dictates of Sharia law, even as they often appear contradictory and uncertain. Sissako is never didactic nor sensationalist — what we see here is just another rule that has moved in, almost clumsily so. The film is more frequently populated by images of tranquil beauty and ordinary life that persist under the blanket of fear. ‘The Death of Stalin’ (2017) Stream it on Tubi and PlutoTV. It might appear incongruent to make a feature-length comedy about the power struggle that occurred after the death of the Soviet leader Joseph Stalin, one of the most ruthless dictators in modern history. But it’s the ludicrousness with which these politicians act, amid such monumentally high stakes, that sharpens the point of Armando Iannucci’s film. After Stalin’s death, his cabinet of men quickly begin to scheme and plot for control, all while tactlessly keeping up the charade of political decorum and allegiance. The irony of that dynamic, and the sobering fact that their games will determine the fate of millions, reveal the utter farce of our human hierarchies: It’s all just blustering animals scrambling for ever taller chairs. ‘The Wind That Shakes the Barley’ (2006) Stream it on Plex. Ken Loach’s chronicle of the 1919 fight for Irish independence, and the Irish Civil War that followed, remains powerful not just for its raw and grounded depiction of a bloody struggle, but also for its conflicted look at how the terms of freedom are defined. Damien is a young Irish doctor on his way to work in London before a clash with British officers convinces him to stay and join his brother, Teddy, in the Irish Republican Army. Their fight ultimately leads to a dubious peace treaty that partitions Ireland. After civil war breaks out, Damien and Teddy find themselves fighting on opposing sides. There’s melodrama to Loach’s premise — a war film pitting brother against brother — and yet it personifies the painfully real and moving stakes of the thorny political debate between them: As they weigh bloodshed and peace, the rich and poor, what does true revolution look like? Prison governor who had relationship with inmate jailed Prison governor who had relationship with inmate jailed Sarah Spina-Matthews & Tom Mullen BBC News CPS Kerri Pegg “betrayed the public trust”, a judge told her A prison governor who had a relationship with a drug-dealing gang boss has been jailed for nine years. Kerri Pegg, 42, was seen as a “rising star” of the Prison Service, climbing the career ladder from graduate to governor at HMP Kirkham in Lancashire in six years. But her trial heard she “didn’t play by the rules” and began a relationship with major Liverpool crime figure Anthony Saunderson, helping him secure day release. Sentencing her at Preston Crown Court, Judge Graham Knowles KC told her: “You betrayed the public trust in you and you betrayed the Prison Service.” He continued: “It was shocking and unconscionable that you should have had that relationship. “You knew how you should and should not act. You had training and support. You were warned and you were challenged. “The boundaries were clear and explicit and you knew you were crossing them.” Pegg, from Up Holland in Lancashire, was convicted of misconduct in public office and possession of criminal property following a trial at the same court in April. The jury heard how, when police raided Pegg’s home in Orrell, Wigan, they found a toothbrush with Saunderson’s DNA on it. It also emerged Pegg, who was also found guilty of one count of possession of criminal property, had been given a gift of a £12,000 Mercedes C-class car by Saunderson, which was paid for from the proceeds of 34 kilos of amphetamines. During his communications with other criminals, Saunderson had used the name Jesse Pinkman after a meth dealer in the hit TV show Breaking Bad, the trial heard. He also went under the name James Gandolfini, the actor who played Tony Soprano in the ****** TV series. GMP Anthony Saunderson had used the name Jesse Pinkman, a meth dealer in the hit TV show Breaking Bad Jurors heard Pegg was known to spend a lot of time in her office with the inmate and, in October 2018, he put in a request to be released on temporary licence. Though such requests are routine there are specific rules for how they should be dealt with – rules which the governor broke. Detectives found Pegg was living way beyond her means, buying designer jewellery and clothes including Jimmy Choo shoes and Chanel necklaces. They found that despite her £3,000 a month income, she was deeply in debt and had not declared three County Court judgments which amounted to misconduct, as debts make officials vulnerable to corruption. Her four credit cards were “maxed out”, the court heard, and she had just 6p in her savings account. Judge Knowles said the fact she had not declared the County Court Judgements left her “catastrophically compromised” and vulnerable to “corruption and blackmail”. He added that Pegg was “impossibly vulnerable to Saunderson'” one she started in her “dereliction of duty” because she “knew he could destroy your career”. As Robert Morris Case Continues, How Should Christians Interpret Such Scandals? As Robert Morris Case Continues, How Should Christians Interpret Such Scandals? Robert Morris, the disgraced pastor from Texas, just appeared in court for the first time since his tumultuous exit nearly a year ago from Gateway Church, the church he founded in 2000. “It’s really sad and tragic when those things take place,” Jeff Schreve, an author and pastor based in Texarkana, said on a recent episode of CBN’s “Faith vs. Culture,” referring to cases like the Morris scandal. Morris’ dramatic fall from grace rocked not only the church’s massive congregation, but Christian culture writ large as the 63-year-old former pastor was accused by Cindy Clemishire of repeatedly ********* assaulting her in the 1980s, when she was just 12 years old. After Clemishire leveled her accusations against Morris, he resigned from his post as lead pastor of the multisite Gateway Church based in Southlake, Texas. He was then indicted in mid-March by an Oklahoma multi-county grand jury on five felony counts of lewd and indecent acts with a child. On May 9, he appeared in public for the first time since his ouster. The ex-minister showed up for a hearing in Oklahoma, where Osage County Judge Cindy Pickerill set a preliminary hearing for Sept. 4. “How that guy thought he would not be disqualified from public pastoral ministry is beyond me,” said Schreve. “t looks like he may go to prison; he should for what he did.” Listen to the latest episode of “Quick Start” The Southlake campus alone saw a significant decline in attendance and tithing contributions in the wake of the revelations about Morris. In an internal video leaked on Facebook in November of last year, one of Gateway’s three remaining elders, Kenneth Fambro, said tithes at the church had dropped by 35%-40% since Clemishire first revealed her allegations against the now-disgraced Morris. Processing these kinds of stories can be overwhelming, even sparking theological and spiritual questions, casting clouds of doubt over some believers’ faith in God. Scandals of this magnitude are certainly not something most believers will face directly. Nevertheless, everyone will be met by disappointments and discouragements at some point in their lives. While Scripture makes it clear those in spiritual leadership will be “judged more strictly” and should be held appropriately accountable for their actions (James 3:1), Schreve encouraged Christians to remember “we all have feet of clay,” a reference to the Old Testament book of Daniel, and urged caution and discernment when it comes to spiritual authorities. ***Please sign up for CBN Newsletters to ensure you keep receiving the latest updates from a distinctly Christian perspective.*** “We have those who are real Christians who fall and those who are pretenders, those who are not real believers, who are in it for the money, the false prophets who are in it for the money,” he said. “[Christians] need to be discerning … with where they go to church, what they’re listening to, who they’re listening to.” Believers, he said, need to remember Satan is a “master liar” whose “lies sound the most like the truth,” cautioning against unwarranted cynicism but encouraging Christians to “have our senses trained to discern good and evil.” While scandals like Morris’ undoubtedly grieve the heart of God, Schreve said it’s important Christians remain rooted not in human leaders — though they are important, no doubt — but in Jesus. To make his point, the Texas-based pastor referenced 2 Timothy 4, when the Apostle Paul wrote to Timothy about his disappointment in Demas, who once worked in ministry with Paul but ultimately “deserted” him “because he loves the things of this life.” “We have to keep our eyes on Jesus,” Schreve said. “He never fails.” The evil present in this world, he later noted, is the result of sin and the freedom God gives human beings to choose for themselves what — and who — they want to follow. “To really love God, you have to have a choice to not love God,” he explained. “If He’s just going to make it to where you have to serve Him and you have to obey Him and there is no choice, then … free will goes out the window and we just become robots.” That, though, doesn’t mean God is absent from His followers enduring pain. Schreve, author of the new book, “The ******’s Newsroom: Muting Satan’s Fake News and Tuning in to God’s Truth,” said the Lord is working to “redeem” the trials believers face, noting He is “eradicat[ing] evil” from the earth. “He’s just not doing it immediately, which is a good thing, because that means you and I would be gone,” Schreve said. “There’s evil in us, too. We still have the sinful flesh within us that longs to do evil and rebels against God. So He is working all things to His perfect timing and we can trust Him that, in the end, we’re gonna all say as believers, ‘You did all things well.’” You can catch our full conversation with Schreve in the video embedded above. Creative Tactics Like Bandit Tricking Is How Rainbow Six Fans Know the Ubisoft Game Is Too Unique to Die Creative Tactics Like Bandit Tricking Is How Rainbow Six Fans Know the Ubisoft Game Is Too Unique to Die In the world of first-person shooters, Rainbow Six Siege still holds up great after ten years. Yes, it’s a ten-year-old game now. So what allowed it to hold up, despite heavy competition from games like Marvel Rivals, Counter-Strike 2, and others? It’s the unique gameplay that none of these top-tier games have. There are wall-breaking features in The Finals, just like Rainbow Six Siege, but there’s more. Fans of the game appreciated its uniqueness on Reddit, and some of them have shared good points. Additionally, the game is still profitable and saving Ubisoft from dying. Rainbow Six Siege is the most unique shooter to ever exist Your plan can change the outcome. | Image Credit: Ubisoft Following the success of Rainbow Six Siege, Ubisoft has tried to create more shooter titles. But they didn’t quite work out, especially for XDefiant and Hyper Scape. Almost forgot about the second one. Both had potential, but they were shadowed by the OG shooter that still stands. What makes Rainbow Six Siege special is the core gameplay, which sets it apart when compared to others. For instance, the character abilities that change the strategy completely. You may say, Valorant has characters with abilities, too. Well, it isn’t the same. In Valorant, every character has four different abilities and works similarly to other characters. For instance, flashbang from characters like Phoenix, Yoru, and Skye may have different methods of execution, but the result is the same. In Rainbow Six Siege, every character has one unique ability that switches the approach. No ultimate ability, just an ability that needs proper execution. A simple ability to state would be the Bandit Battery. This is used to electrify reinforced walls to prevent attackers from breaking through the wall. They can be disabled by anti-denial characters like Kali, Thatcher, and more, but here’s the fun part. Bandit doesn’t need to pre-place the gadgets, he can use them for Bandit Tricking. What’s that, you may ask. It’s a community found move, where Bandit starts placing his Battery as attackers place their hard breach charge and activate. Comment byu/Smallczyk2137 from discussion inRainbow6 This requires a lot of sound knowledge and knowing if the attackers a faking or not. It’s a risky move with high rewards. If a good Bandit player manages to break all the breach charges or attackers, they have no way to break the reinforced wall and are forced to take a different approach. Once that is done, things get more predictable. This is just one character strategy that can change the outcome of the whole game. There are a total of 77 characters, and each affects the game differently. Going in guns blazing isn’t an option; a proper plan is always required. That’s what makes Rainbow Six Siege special. Rainbow Six Siege is going free-to-play, will it remain profitable? Most free-to-play games have in-game stores and battle passes, which give live-service games revenue. While the player count hasn’t increased much in the last few years. It has remained profitable for these additions. Going free-to-play means it can allow more players to join in the fun, and if they want to support, they can make in-game purchases. This is a tactic that has been abused by many live-service shooters, but it works. Sometimes they use thirst tactics to yield more from players. Marvel Rivals is doing it with Emma Frost, and players are going awooga. Rainbow Six Siege might not manipulate players in that way, but it does encourage collaborations. Even Call of Duty does it too, even though each of their game has like one year life-cycle. Players want content; if they are desperate enough, companies can do anything. Let’s hope Rainbow Six Siege X doesn’t pull off something fishy. Are you a Rainbow Six Siege fan? In which year did you join the game? If you haven’t played yet, will you give it a shot? Wall Street opens flat, set to cap strong weekly gains Wall Street opens flat, set to cap strong weekly gains Wall Street’s main indexes are subdued but still on track for robust weekly gains buoyed by a US-China tariff truce and cooling inflation while focus was on a pivotal vote on US President Donald Trump’s tax legislations. US equities lost some steam after a measure of consumer sentiment by the University of Michigan slipped to 50.8 for May, compared with April’s 52.2, while one-year inflation expectations surged to 7.3 per cent from 6.5 per cent. House Budget Committee chairman Jodey Arrington cautioned that Friday’s planned vote on the tax bill might be delayed due to opposition to the measure. In early trading on Friday, the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 7.64 points, or 0.02 per cent, to 42,330.39, the S&P 500 gained 5.46 points, or 0.09 per cent, to 5,922.39 and the Nasdaq Composite gained 15.17 points, or 0.08 per cent, to 19,127.49. All three main indexes were poised for weekly gains. The market found its footing earlier in the week, rallying on Monday and Tuesday after the United States and China agreed to a 90-day pause in their escalating trade war. As a result, the S&P 500 catapulted back into the green year-to-date – the first time it is in positive territory since late February. Still, the benchmark index remains about 4.0 per cent shy of its all-time peak. “The combination of a deal with the *** and taking a step back from the untenable China tariffs certainly lays out a road map that we can get multiple bilateral trade deals accomplished and that’s the largest of the positive catalyst,” said Art Hogan, chief market strategist at B Riley Wealth. Trump and *** Prime Minister Keir Starmer had announced a limited bilateral trade agreement last week. Data from earlier in the week showed US retail sales growth losing steam in April while consumer prices staged a moderate rebound. Focus would also be on comments from Federal Reserve policymakers, with at least two officials including Richmond Fed president Thomas Barkin slated to speak throughout the day. Most megacap and growth stocks swung higher, with Alphabet leading gains with a 2.4 per cent rise. Big Tech was one of the biggest drivers on Wall Street this week. The information technology sector was heading towards an 8.0 per cent gain, a weekly jump echoing the surge seen when traders first seized on clear signals the White House was ready to dial back its trade hostilities with China. Shares of UnitedHealth rose 1.4 per cent after a near 11 per cent drop in the last session, when the stock was rocked after a report the US Department of Justice had begun a criminal investigation into the insurer. Applied Materials slipped 6.6 per cent after the chipmaking equipment maker missed estimates for second-quarter revenue. Charter Communications rose 3.0 per cent after the media company said it would buy privately held rival Cox Communications for $21.9 billion. Advancing issues outnumbered decliners by a 1.38-to-1 ratio on the NYSE and by a 1.29-to-1 ratio on the Nasdaq. The S&P 500 posted 13 new 52-week highs and no new lows while the Nasdaq Composite recorded 42 new highs and 42 new lows. Delta Air Lines gets rid of Basic Economy fare. Here’s what will replace it. Delta Air Lines gets rid of Basic Economy fare. Here’s what will replace it. Delta Air Lines is doing away with Basic Economy seating – sort of. The airline will fold the base fare into its new Delta Main category – previously called Main Cabin – for flights departing Oct. 1 or later, part of a reworked ticket tier structure. Delta Comfort+ will become Delta Comfort and First Class will be called Delta First, the carrier said Thursday. Premium Select, the airline’s international-style premium economy service, and its Delta One business class will keep their names. “As we listen and learn about what our customers want when it comes to their travel, we know that clarity and choice are paramount,” Eric Phillips, SVP and Chief Digital Officer, said in a news release. “Our reimagined shopping experience gives customers more options and flexibility to pick the travel experience that works best for them, and a full picture of all the benefits of flying with Delta.” What is replacing Delta’s Basic Economy? The Delta Main category will include three levels that the airline calls “experience options.” Delta Main Basic is the new Basic Economy, a bare-bones fare that comes with restrictions. Flyers will get their seat assignments after they check in, for example, and board in Zone 8. Delta Main Classic comes with options for same-day standby, higher boarding priority and other perks, while Delta Main Extra customers get an even better boarding position, more miles per dollar and more. The four other categories of fares, meanwhile, will come with just two levels each: Classic and Extra. “You can get the benefits you’ve become accustomed to when you book Classic – seat selection, no-fee cancellation and Same-Day Standby,” the airline said in an FAQ section on its website. “Extra gets you more than Classic or our previous Refundable ticket option. With Extra, you can enjoy full refundability if you decide to cancel, earlier boarding, free Same-Day Confirmed options and more miles earned.” That said, the new labels are not as different as they might sound. “These are naming changes only and do not affect your in-flight experience,” Delta added. Tribe Nine cancelled after only three months since launch
Pelican Press posted a topic in World News
Tribe Nine cancelled after only three months since launch Tribe Nine cancelled after only three months since launch Tribe Nine has seen its latest update cancelled, and EOS announced The servers will be shut off on November 27th Paid Enigma Entities will be refunded, and in-game purchases will be halted It’s rare for me to express true astonishment in writing, but I think I speak for most people when I say I was shocked to learn that Tribe Nine is set to be shuttered. According to a recent news post, November 27th will see the servers shut off for Tribe Nine, with any upcoming updates now cancelled. It’s an acrimonious end for Tribe Nine, which only a couple of months ago boasted of over ten million downloads. Based on the anime series of the same name and boasting art by Danganronpa veteran Rui Komatsuzaki, it included regular ARPG gameplay and the so-called Xtreme Baseball boss battles that fans of the series will recognise. Tribe Nine’s unceremonious axing continues a rather unpleasant trend over the last few years that has seen many releases cancelled after less than a year in service. For many fans of these releases, it can seem pretty hopeless to become invested in any of them, considering the EOS threat that looms over them. Tribeless Considering that Rui Komatsuzaki’s art has graced the well-received Hundred Line -Last Defence Academy- on other platforms, there seems little reason why Tribe Nine would be cancelled on the service. However, being ditched so soon after launch may backfire on developer Akatsuki Games. With another anime-based release on the horizon, Kaiju No.8: The Game, they’re likely banking on bringing in fans of the existing series. But casual players may see Akatsuki’s track record and baulk at the idea of the same thing happening again. Either way, for fans of Tribe Nine, it’s not exactly a happy Friday. But, there’s still a lot of great releases out there to keep you going. 8BitDo Reveals Leverless Arcade Controllers For PC, Switch, And Xbox 8BitDo Reveals Leverless Arcade Controllers For PC, Switch, And Xbox 8BitDo has revealed a pair of exciting new controllers for fighting game enthusiasts. Launching July 15 for Switch/PC and Xbox/PC, the 8BitDo Arcade Controller is a thin, leverless fight pad. All-button arcade “sticks” have become quite popular in the fighting game scene in recent years; some players find that the dedicated directional and jump buttons make it easier to hit precise inputs for special moves and combos. However, leverless models tend to be expensive, especially if you’re looking for a reliable and customizable device. At $90-$100, 8BitDo’s Arcade Controller will be the most affordable option from a major brand, and both models offer wireless connections on their respective platforms as well as PC. You can preorder the 8BitDo Arcade Controller for Switch/PC and Xbox/PC at Amazon. $100 | Releases July 25 As mentioned above, the new leverless 8BitDo Arcade Controllers use a button-only layout. Both models include four directional buttons (up, down, left, right), eight face buttons, and four additional remappable buttons. Each button uses hot-swappable Kailh Wizard low-profile mechanical switches, and the extra buttons also come with swappable locking flat caps in case you don’t want to use them and want to avoid accidental presses. Both models also feature platform-specific inputs–like the Xbox Guide button and Switch Home button–for navigating the console’s menus and interface. These leverless models are thinner and lighter than the previously released 8BitDo Arcade Controllers with joysticks, with a smudge-resistant material on the top panel, and a slip-resistant silicone mat on the bottom so it stays in place while playing. They also have foldable magnetic feet so you can adjust the angle. The Xbox version of the leverless 8BitDo Arcade Controller connects wirelessly to Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, or PC with the included 2.4GHz dongle. The included USB-C cable can be used to establish a wired connection as well as charge the Arcade Controller. While the hot-swappable PCBs are convenient for modding the device’s buttons and switches to your preferences, you can also personalize the button mapping and other options on PC or Xbox using 8BitDo’s Ultimate Software X. One of those customizations is the RGB lighting rings around the buttons, which are exclusive to the Xbox model. $90 | Releases July 25 The Switch version of the leverless 8BitDo Arcade Controller the same button layout and overall design as the Xbox edition, but it’s $10 cheaper and adds Bluetooth support. Since it uses Bluetooth to sync wirelessly with your Nintendo Switch, you should have no problem pairing it to the upcoming Switch 2 console. The Switch edition still comes with a 2.4GHz dongle for wireless play on PC, just like the Xbox model. The detachable charging cable can be used for wired mode on Switch or PC. So if you’re buying the controller for PC, you can save $10 by opting for the Switch version. You will miss out on the backlit buttons, but the Switch edition does have a cool retro-themed design. The gray, ******, and red color scheme pays homage to the Nintendo Entertainment System. The trio of bright menu buttons running along the top nod back to the SNES controller’s face buttons. Button mapping and other competition-focused control customizations can be applied to the Switch edition using 8BitDo’s Ultimate Software V2. Gallery For those who prefer the traditional feel of a joystick, the original 8BitDo Arcade Controller is also available now. Like the levelerless edition, the 8BitDo Arcade Controller with a joystick is available in Switch and Xbox versions, and both work with PC. The Switch/PC model is $90, while the Xbox/PC model is $120 and available in either ****** or white color options. 8BitDo makes plenty of other great controllers, including conventional, highly customizable controllers like the recently released 8BitDo Ultimate 2 for PC/Android and 8BitDo Ultimate 2 Bluetooth for Nintendo Switch/PC. The Ultimate 2 improves on its predecessor in a variety of ways. It has TMR electromagnetic sticks, four remappable buttons, customizable lighting rings, and trigger locks. If you’re interested in the Xbox edition Arcade Controller, you should also check out the newly released 3-Mode Ultimate Controller, which works wirelessly with PC and Android and with a wired connection on Xbox. Officially licensed by Xbox, the new model has a transparent green color scheme inspired by one of the original Xbox’s most popular special-edition consoles. Earlier this year, 8BitDo released a transparent green mechanical keyboard and gaming mouse. Though neither of these wireless peripherals are compatible with Xbox, they are versatile, budget-friendly options for PC and Mac users. The Xbox Edition Retro Mechanical Keyboard is on ***** for only $80 (was $120) at Woot. How to get income from Nvidia as chip giant could reach all-time high in near future How to get income from Nvidia as chip giant could reach all-time high in near future During President Donald Trump’s Middle East trip in May, Nvidia announced significant investments and partnerships focused on advancing their artificial intelligence infrastructure. I want to use options to produce income on Nvidia as I believe new all-time highs ($153.13 all-time high Jan. 5) are coming for the leading AI chipmaker. During the trip, Nvidia agreed to sell 18,000 of its top AI chips to Humain, an AI company backed by Saudi Arabia. “I am so delighted to be here to help celebrate the grand opening, the beginning of Humain,” CEO Jensen Huang said. “It is an incredible vision, indeed, that Saudi Arabia should build the AI infrastructure of your nation so that you could participate and help shape the future of this incredibly transformative technology.” Trump also said Friday that the U.S. and UAE were working on a deal that would let Abu Dhabi buy Nvidia’s top chips. Nvidia’s historic bounce has allowed the tech giant to unequivocally reclaim the Nasdaq 100’s crown. The move off of the April 7 low (86.62 low print ) was a mind-blowing 55% surge up to Thursday’s close of $134.83. Skeptics would say that’s too much, too fast. But, this stock historically has incurred outsized moves and momentum has always been Nvidia’s friend, to the upside as well as downside. With equity analysts tripping over themselves to reconfigure their already recalibrated S & P 500 targets for 2025 now that stocks have recovered from the post “liberation day” sell-off, betting against Nvidia during any of their momentous moves has been a bad trade. That being said, and after a sensational 55% pop off the recent bottom, an investor must define risk in a bullish options trade. The trade: Selling a put spread Sold the NVDA June 27 $130 Put for $5.75 Bought the NVDA June 27 $120 Put for $2.75 This spread allows an investor to collect $3 or $300 per one put spread NVDA was roughly trading $136 when executed. An investor has to be prepared to own NVDA at $127 down to $120. Risking $700 to make $300 is the risk/reward. DISCLOSURES: Kilburg is long Nvidia and owns this put spread. Bono says Apple wants to make the Vision Pro ‘more affordable’, so what’s the holdup? Bono says Apple wants to make the Vision Pro ‘more affordable’, so what’s the holdup? The Apple Vision Pro remains the apex mixed-reality experience – and also the most unattainable for most people. You won’t hear Apple directly admit that the powerful headset is, at $3,499, too expensive. A couple of years ago, Apple CEO Tim Cook called the Vision Pro “a great value”. A year later, though, he admitted that the pricey headset is not aimed at “the masses.” We now have some evidence that Cook’s comment was on the, well, money. You may like During a recent Price is Right episode, contestants were presented with the Vision Pro and asked to guess the price. For those unfamiliar with the premise of the game show, the idea is to guess a price that is as close to the actual price as possible. Whoever gets nearest moves on to the next round of the game. (Image credit: Future) In the widely shared clip, the Vision Pro headset is lowered from the rafters to a position just in front of the contestants as the show’s announcer briefly describes the headset’s capabilities. After a moment’s consideration, the four players guessed prices ranging from $750 to $1,250. That latter price won – but saying that the contestant who guessed that amount got close is like saying California is close to New York because they’re part of the same land mass. What we learned is that consumers are not only unfamiliar with Vision Pro – they have no idea why anyone would pay $3,500 to own one. The price, according to those contestants, is wrong. As much as I love the Vision Pro experience, I’ve known this for a while, but it wasn’t until I saw some news today that I believed Apple understood this and that it is, perhaps, trying to do something about it. The price gives us Vertigo The news came from a seemingly unlikely source: U2 front man Bono, whose new documentary, Bono: Stories of Surrender, is coming to Apple TV Plus. The rock star has a long-time friendly relationship with Apple; more than a decade ago, Apple dropped an entire new U2 album on iTunes, much to the chagrin of those who were not U2 fans. Apple, though, is clearly not done putting U2 content inside Apple products. An immersive version of Stories of Surrender is also coming to the Vision Pro, putting you on stage with the musician. I’ve used the Vision Pro, and I’ve tried these immersive experiences often enough to tell you that they’re extraordinary to the point of almost being uncomfortable; an artist or athlete is doing their thing, and it feels like you’re invading their space. Bono details in the interview with Deadline the difficulties of filming in the immersive format, especially getting the lighting right. Then, in answer to a question about how the Vision Pro further personalized the story, Bono shared something I’m not sure Apple would want him to share: It made it really playful. I know Apple are dying to make the Vision Pro more affordable and more democratic, but they’re committed to innovation, they’re committed to experimenting. They know not everyone can afford this, but they’re still going for it, believing that some way down the line, it’ll make financial sense for them. But the fact that they may have to wait a while is not putting them off. At least Apple is commited “More affordable and democratic”. That’s quite a statement, and I guess it does align with Cook’s comments about the headset still not being for the masses. However, most Vision Pro rumors point to Apple launching a different, cheaper version of Vision Pro (Vision Lite) and not necessarily making the existing headset cheaper. Dropping the price of the existing Vision Pro is a strategy I suggested last year: “It costs a lot to build the Vision Pro (one estimate puts it at over $1,540) […] [Apple] should simply cut the price by more than half and take the hit.” My point was that Apple is making more and more services revenue, and that the Vision Pro is just another platform on which it can deliver all that content and all those features (but at a very high level). Why not put it in more hands? I’m not sure that Bono is fully in touch with current economic realities, when he suggests that, somehow, some way, people will eventually be able to afford the Vision Pro or that, at least, it’ll make “financial sense.” (Image credit: Future / Lance Ulanoff) I don’t see that happening. At $3,500, the Vision Pro costs as much as a modest vacation, a powerful gaming computer, or luxury goods like a watch or designer bag. These are more than considered purchases, and the latter two are for the well-off or even rich. Apple’s products may generally be more expensive than the competition, but they do not sell only to the elite. Take a look around: virtually everyone has an iPhone. If the iPhone started at $3,000, that would not be the case. I always encourage people to visit an Apple Store and experience the Vision Pro for themselves. They’ll quickly see what all the fuss is about, but that experience also makes the price that much more painful. You may want to take the Vision Pro home, but we’re still not living in a mixed-reality democracy, at least not yet. Russia jails *********** man for fighting alongside Ukraine Russia jails *********** man for fighting alongside Ukraine An *********** man who was captured by Russian forces while fighting alongside Ukraine has been sentenced to 13 years in a maximum security prison, Russian-installed prosecutors have said. Oscar Jenkins, 33, was convicted in a Russian-controlled court in occupied eastern Ukraine on Friday of fighting in an armed conflict as a mercenary. Mr Jenkins, a teacher from Melbourne, was captured last December in the Luhansk region. Prosecutors said he arrived in Ukraine in February 2024, alleging he was paid between 600,000 and 800,000 rubles (£5,504 and £7,339) a month to take part in military operations against Russian troops. A video surfaced in December last year showing Mr Jenkins with his hands tied, being hit in the face and questioned by Russian forces. They ask him if he is being paid to fight in Ukraine. In January, Australia summoned the Russian ambassador over false reports that Mr Jenkins had been killed following his capture. Since then, the *********** government has repeatedly called for his release. “We’ll continue to make representations to the reprehensible regime of [Russian President] Vladimir Putin on behalf of Mr Jenkins,” *********** Prime Minister Anthony Albanese told 9News in April. In March, a British man James Scott Rhys Anderson was jailed for 19 years by a Russian military court after being charged with terrorism and mercenary activity, becoming the first British national convicted by Russia during the war. The 22-year-old was captured last November in Russia’s Kursk region – where Ukrainian forces began a surprise incursion last August before retreating in recent months. Just before launching a full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, Russian President Vladimir Putin recognised all of Luhansk and Donetsk as independent of Ukraine. ******** government opposes remittance provision in Trump tax bill ******** government opposes remittance provision in Trump tax bill The House Republican bill to enact President Trump’s domestic policy agenda contains a provision that has prompted opposition from the ******** government — a tax on cash payments sent by non-U.S. citizens to family members in their home countries. The payments, known as remittances, would be subject to a 5% excise tax that would encompass more than 40 million people, including green card holders and nonimmigrant visa holders, such as people on H-1B, H-2A and H-2B visas. U.S. citizens would be exempt. In a May 13 letter to the leaders of the House Ways and Means Committee, Esteban Moctezuma Barragán, Mexico’s ambassador to the U.S., urged Chairman Jason Smith and Ranking Member Richard Neal to reconsider the proposal. “We respectfully urge you to reconsider this section of the legislative proposal, and we remain available to continue dialogue on the matter,” wrote Barragán and Robert Velasco Alvarez, Mexico’s chief officer for North America. A representative for Chairman Smith did not comment. A representative for Neal has not responded to CBS News’ request for comment. In April, President Trump hinted at a crackdown on remittances, announcing in a Truth Social Post that the administration was “finalizing a presidential memorandum to shut down remittances sent by ******** aliens outside of the United States.” But details on the presidential proposal were unclear. The remittance tax provisions in the bill have become an international flashpoint. ******** President Claudia Sheinbaum has also criticized the plan and urged Republican lawmakers to reconsider it. At a press briefing this week, Sheinbaum warned that the proposal “would damage the economy of both nations and is also contrary to the spirit of economic freedom that the U.S. government claims to defend.” “Remittances are the fruit of the efforts of those who, through their honest work, strengthen not only the ******** economy but also the United States’, which is why we consider this measure to be arbitrary and unjust,” she said. An estimate by the Center for Latin American Monetary Studies, which is cited in the letter, found that ******** migrant workers sent on average 16.7% of their labor income as remittances. “In other words, more than 80% of the income generated by this community remains in the U.S. economy,” the letter says. The Joint Committee on Taxation estimates, however, that the proposal would generate a little more than $1 billion in tax revenue in fiscal year 2026, and rise to about $3 billion by 2034. In the letter to lawmakers, Barragán said the proposal would amount to double taxation, “since migrants already pay taxes in the country where they work.” “Imposing a tax on these transfers would disproportionately affect those with the least, without accounting for their ability to pay,” he added and also warned of other unintended consequences. “Many migrants might seek informal or unregulated means to do so, complicating oversight and control of these financial flows. This would not only reduce the expected revenue but also increase risks related to financial security, tax evasion and money laundering,” he wrote. Barragán has been meeting with lawmakers in recent days and discussing the matter with them. On Tuesday, he hosted a dinner for members of Congress, including Texas Rep. Tony Gonzalez, whose district spans the length of much of the state’s border with Mexico and is home to many migrant workers. House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Brian Mast and Florida Rep Maria Elvira Salazar attended the dinner. Salazar said, when asked about the proposal, she was still assessing the legislation and who exactly it will affect, noting that banks already charge fees for such transactions. “I just want what’s fair, what’s just and what’s Christian,” she said. Separately, Barragan met with Pennsylvania Senator Dave McCormick and also discussed the remittance measure. Representatives for the electronic payment transfer industry also expressed concern that this proposal would harm vulnerable communities. “Such a measure would harm the most financially vulnerable consumers, undermine small businesses, disrupt critical financial regulations, and weaken law enforcement’s ability to combat illicit activity,” the Electronic Transactions Association wrote to Smith and Neal. The group also added, “Taxing remittances will distort behavior and could drive consumers toward unregulated, underground channels in an effort to avoid the added cost.” Pete Villasmil contributed to this report. Tesco customers report problems with app and website Tesco customers report problems with app and website Some Tesco customers are reporting not being able to access the retailer’s app and website. People have taken to social media to complain about problems checking-out online shopping and with accessing their Clubcards through Tesco’s app. Tesco’s account on X replied to one user saying it is having “intermittent system issues at the moment which the IT team are currently working hard to resolve.” The BBC has contacted Tesco for comment. Customers on social media have listed multiple problems. One reports issues with Apple Pay in a Tesco store as well as difficulties with gift cards. Many describe being unable to process changes to online orders. Outage monitoring site DownDetector is showing increasing levels of reported problems with Tesco’s website. Two other major retailers Marks and Spencer (M&S) and the Co-op have suffered massive disruption in recent weeks due to cyber attacks. It is not known if the problems being experienced by Tesco are related to a hack or are the result of internal IT issues. The supermarket chain – the ***’s biggest – said in early 2024 that its Clubcard loyalty scheme, offering shoppers discounts on products in-store and online, had more than 20m members. How To Check Your Disk Usage in Linux How To Check Your Disk Usage in Linux No matter how high-capacity your storage drive is, you always need to see how much space you have used and what files are using it. While there are ways to do this from the GUI in Linux, as always, you get more detail by using the terminal command line. Terminal tools are especially useful for users who are monitoring remote systems, for example busy system administrators connecting over a secure shell connection. In this tutorial, we’ll look at various ways of using the terminal to check disk usage enabling us to see what storage space is left on our system no matter where we may be. All the commands in this how-to will work on most Linux machines. We’ve used an Ubuntu LTS install but you could run this how-to on a Raspberry Pi. All of the how-to is performed via the Terminal. You can open a terminal window on most Linux machines by pressing ctrl, alt and t. Using df to Check Disk Usage in Linux (Image credit: Tom’s Hardware) A simple approach to check all disk usage on a system is to simply issue the df command from the home directory in a terminal window. You may like df You should see a long output list. This list of items includes not only the physical best hard drive connected to your system but also any separate drive partitions, as well as virtual drives and temporary drives on your system. To spot physical drives or partitions on physical drives look out for listings that begin with /dev/ such as /dev/sda1/. In this case dev stands for device and indicates that the item following it is a physical drive or a partition on a physical drive. Finally, you’ll notice that by default the df command outputs the size of the drive or partition in kilobytes. Making the df Command Simpler to Read (Image credit: Tom’s Hardware) The raw output generated by the df command can be overwhelming. We can add some simple arguments to the df command to make the output a little easier to read and understand. 1. Use the -h argument to display the sizes and usage in megabytes and gigabytes. The -h argument refers to “human readable”. Get Tom’s Hardware’s best news and in-depth reviews, straight to your inbox. df -h 2. Use df -h / to see a broad overview of disk usage. This command will show the disk usage for the main filesystem (/) df -h / 3. Pass df -h plus the location of a drive to see information on that drive only. On our machine our main physical drive is mounted at /dev/sda2/ which is common but may be different on your system. df -h /dev/sda2/ On another test system our NVMe drive was located at /dev/nvme0n1p6 Adding a location to df allows us to explore just one area of a file system or one specific drive making the output more focussed and readable. Specify df Results by File System Type (Image credit: Tom’s Hardware) Using the -t argument in combination with other arguments we can return results only for a specific type of file system. For example ****, NTFS, ext etc. 1. List results of df command but only for ext4 type filesystems. df -t ext4 On our example system our main physical drive filesystem is ext4, but you can use any filesystem name you may have on your own system such as, ****, exFAT, ext3, ext2 etc. 2. Re-run the command adding the -h argument. It’s important that the t argument is placed at the end of the argument list as the t argument expects to be followed by a filesystem type. If for example you want to add the -h argument you must add it before the t as shown below. df -ht ext4 Exploring Linux Disk Usage with the du Command (Image credit: Tom’s Hardware) Often we might simply want to check how much room a file or directory is using. The du command is useful for this and works in a similar way to the df command we looked at earlier. In the following examples we have used our Music directory which contains 3 subdirectories containing mp3’s. You can use any directory with contents on your system to try these commands. 1. Move to a directory, list its contents and then check disk usage. cd Music ls du Note that similar to the df command, in its standard form the du command returns values in kilobytes. The output of this command is quite straightforward: it lists the size of each sub directory and then the name and then finally on the last line returns the sum of all the subdirectory sizes to give the directory disk usage. 2. Add the -h argument to make du return results in megabytes and gigabytes. du -h 3. Simplify the output to just show the total directory size. If we just want to know the total size of the directory and its subdirectories, adding -s as an argument will return just the total. du -hs 4. Specify a location for the du command. cd du -hs Music Similar to other linux commands we don’t always need to run the du command from within the target directory, rather we can specify a path to a target directory. This can be a relative path, from our current location, or an absolute path. The df and du commands are deceptively simple but immensely powerful. No matter if you are a relative newcomer or a seasoned sysadmin, both commands are absolutely essential for the smooth running of your Linux machines. At the basic level, each command gives you the information that you need. With the addition of our suggested arguments, these commands are ready to to be part of your sysadmin toolkit.
