Christian Summer Camp Fights Back Amid Claims Government Could Shut It Down Over Gender Law
Christian Summer Camp Fights Back Amid Claims Government Could Shut It Down Over Gender Law
A Christian summer camp in Colorado is suing over a gender policy it says could shut it down.
Camp IdRaHaJe in Bailey, Colorado, is asking a court to allow it to follow its sincerely held religious beliefs and separate campers by sex and not gender identity, The Denver Post reported.
The camp, which has been licensed in Colorado since 1995 and derives its name from the song “I’d Rather Have Jesus,” has operated for decades, dating back to 1948, and hosts thousands of children in its week-long program every summer.
The issue centers on state regulations governing gender, with the camp declining to operate based on newly adopted parameters due to its Christian faith.
A May 12 lawsuit, filed on Camp IdRaHaJe’s behalf by conservative legal firm Alliance Defending Freedom, details the camp’s concerns after Colorado Department of Early Childhood last year created new regulations mandating licensees like the camp allow children to use restrooms and other facilities that comport with their gender identities.
“Alliance Defending Freedom attorneys filed a lawsuit Monday with the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado on behalf of a Christian summer camp seeking to uphold its religious and commonsense beliefs about biological sex,” a press release reads. “The camp is challenging a recent Colorado Department of Early Childhood policy update that forces licensed resident camps to allow campers to use private facilities of the opposite sex.”
According to The Denver Post, the camp said it attempted to get a religious exemption, which wasn’t granted. According to ADF, the purported denial forced “the camp to choose between upholding its beliefs about biological sex and risk losing its license or abandoning its beliefs and mission to minister to children.”
ADF legal counsel Andrea Dill said in a statement the government doesn’t have the right to threaten to shutter or punish a Christian camp simply for exercising its “religious beliefs about human sexuality.”
“Camp IdRaHaJe exists to present the truth of the Gospel to children who are building character and lifelong memories,” Dill said in a statement. “But the Colorado government is putting its dangerous agenda—that is losing popularity across the globe—ahead of its kids.”
She continued, “We are urging the court to allow IdRaHaJe to operate as it has for over 75 years: as a Christian summer camp that accepts all campers without fear of being punished for its beliefs.”
Meanwhile, Lisa Roy, executive director of the Colorado Department of Early Childhood, said in a statement to CBS News that officials cannot comment on active litigation, but that the agency will work with faith-based groups “within the confines of the law.”
“The Department will continue working in partnership with faith-based providers and camps within the confines of the law to ensure maximum participation,” the statement read. “As I’m sure you understand, we cannot comment on active litigation.”

Xpeng shares jumped as much as 6% in premarket trading in New York, after the ******** electric vehicle upstart reported first quarter earnings that were ahead of expectations.
The stock had pared gains to rise 5.23% at 12:44 p.m. London time.
Here’s how Xpeng did in the first quarter versus LSEG estimates:
Revenue: 15.81 billion ******** yuan ($2.18 billion), up 141.5% year-on-year and comparing with 15.1 billion yuan expected.
Net loss: 660 million yuan, versus a 1.4 billion yuan loss expected and down from 1.37 billion yuan last year.
Xpeng said it anticipates second-quarter revenue will come in between 17.5 billion yuan and 18.7 billion yuan, which was also surpassed consensus estimates.
The Guangzhou-headquartered firm also said it expects to deliver between 102,000 and 108,000 of its electric cars in the second quarter of this year, representing a year-over-year increase of around 237.7% to 257.5%.
Xpeng delivered 94,008 in the first three months of this year.
The company contended with a difficult 2023, when it faced slowing growth and mounting losses because of rising competition in China’s electric vehicle market and increasing economic uncertainty in its home market.
But the company has been aggressive with new products, launching a mass market car last year and a refreshed version of its flagship X9 in April in 2025, helping to improve its fortunes over the last 18 months or so.
That, along with strong deliveries this year, has helped fuel a 66% year-to-date rally in its share price, which has finally helped lift its stock above the $15 per share price that it went public with in 2020. Still, the stock is well off its record high of more than $50 per share hit in October 2021.
Xpeng is now facing an even ******* raft of competition from new entrants like Xiaomi and from incumbents like BYD.
Still, the company is maintaining momentum. Xpeng delivered 35,045 electric vehicles in April, sustaining its record of putting out more than 30,000 vehicles for the sixth consecutive month.

Joel Selwood pays tribute to brother Adam after his passing on Saturday
Joel Selwood pays tribute to brother Adam after his passing on Saturday
Heartbroken AFL legend Joel Selwood has posted a poignant message to brother Adam — who died at the weekend — to “look after” Adam’s twin Troy, who died by suicide three months ago.
The Geelong great took to Instagram on Wednesday evening posting, “Rest up, love you brother. Look after each other.”
Adam, 41, died in Herdsman on Saturday, just three months after the death of his identical twin brother, Troy.
Adam played 187 games for the West Coast Eagles across decorated decade-long career from 2003 to 2013, including the 2006 premiership against Sydney.
Joel’s tribute was accompanied by a photograph of the four Selwood brothers, Scott, Adam, Joel and Troy in the changerooms after a Geelong match.
A third photo showed three of the brothers enjoying a moment in the kitchen.
The AFL released a statement on Saturday, attributed to the Selwood family, saying “words cannot express the grief and sadness we feel”.
“Adam was a loving husband, and an incredible father to Lenny and Billie,” the statement reads.

“We are devastated to lose such a wonderful husband, father, son and brother.
“We will miss Adam deeply—his spirit, his kindness, and the joy he brought to every room. His determination, the lessons he shared, and his infectious personality will stay with us always.
“Adam had a unique ability to make people feel special, and our family was lucky to experience that every day.
“We kindly ask for privacy as we navigate this difficult time.”
AFL chief executive Andrew Dillon said the “industry would unite to support the Selwood family”.
“Adam was a dearly loved son, brother, husband and father, and his loss is a tremendous blow for all who loved him,” he said.
“On behalf of the AFL and all of our clubs, I want to send our love to his wife Fiona and their two children, to Maree and Bryce Selwood, Joel and Scott, and their families, and all of Adam’s many friends and colleagues and past team mates at West Coast and across football.

“Adam was a premiership player and outstanding contributor to the game at the highest level, and then, latterly, continued to work in the game in coaching and other roles, but first and foremost, he was a young man who gave so much time and love to those around him.”
Eagles premiership captain Chris Judd penned a heartbreaking tribute on Monday, describing Adam as “the perfect teammate”.
“You knew you were getting his everything each week on the field while being completely focused on the team,” he wrote.
“While off the field his personality blended a hard edge with kindness and compassion, a kindness he gave to everyone else but not himself.
“I hope he’s up having a beer with Troy, with the sun shining on them both (with low levels of UV), and when he takes the field, I hope the forwards aren’t trying to get goal side anymore and that the new teammates love playing with you as much as we did.
“Rest easy.”

Japanese publication Famitsu gives French JRPG Clair Obscur high praise in review
Japanese publication Famitsu gives French JRPG Clair Obscur high praise in review
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 has been given a glowing review in respected Japanese magazine Famitsu.
The game, which was developed by French studio Sandfall Interactive, is described by many as a JRPG despite having not been developed in Japan.
While the game has received widespread critical acclaim among Western media, then, some have been curious to see how it would be received in Japan given its designation.
As reported by Ryokutya2089, Famitsu has scored the game 36/40, with its four reviewers each scoring the game 9/10.
The review praises the game’s music, presentation, plot pacing and difficulty adjustments, and says the map design is “miraculous” because players don’t get lost even though it feels like they might. It was also recommended to fans of Final Fantasy 6 or 16.
Despite the high praise from Famitsu, the 36/40 score means Clair Obscur has fallen short of becoming one of a handful of games to receive both a ‘Famitsu 40’ and a score of 10 in Edge magazine.
Only 30 games have received a perfect 40 from Famitsu, while just 28 (including Clair Obscur) have received a 10 from Edge. Only six games to date – The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Bayonetta, The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, Grand Theft Auto V, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom – have received both.
Last month, before its scored review, Famitsu wrote a lengthy write-up giving its impressions on Clair Obscur, describing it as “the best love letter from France to Japanese RPGs”.
“This title is one of those so-called ‘foreign-made JRPGs’ that have been influenced by Japanese RPGs, and I think it’s a masterpiece that has been crafted with a level of visual quality and scope that rivals the biggest titles in the genre”, the report read (via machine translation).
“I don’t intend to delve too deeply into the definition of JRPG here, but personally, I think the key difference lies in the fact that Western RPGs often focus on ‘role-playing’ within a given world, while Japanese RPGs prioritise the characters created by the developers driving the story forward.
“In that sense, this game is unquestionably Japanese in its RPG roots, yet it goes beyond mere imitation to create something uniquely its own, infused with the developers’ sense of French culture and art.”
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 was released on April 24, and has enjoyed widespread critical acclaim with a Metacritic score currently standing at 93 on Xbox Series X/S, 92 on PS5 and 90 on PC. The game sold 2 million units in its first 12 days.

Vast Data launches into AI stratosphere with AgentEngine
Vast Data launches into AI stratosphere with AgentEngine
Vast Data has announced an agentic AI application environment – the Vast AgentEngine – for its data management stack, which ultimately rests on its Vast Data Store storage subsystem family.
The move marks a further foray out into the world of data management and applications, with special focus on AI and handling vector data that builds on existing planks in the company’s offer.
AgentEngine – which will be available in the second half of 2025 – allows customers to deploy and manage agentic AI agents. Vast plans to release a pre-configured agent monthly, but customers will be able to build them out to their own requirements. So, for example, they can create an agent, make MCP-compatible tools available to it – such as directory, S3 bucket, RAG pipeline, search, cataloguing and function tools – and assign a reasoning model to it, with AI frameworks and guardrails then able to be added.
All of this builds on the core elements of Vast’s offer. These are the Vast Data Store, which is PB-scale storage using high-density QLC flash and storage-class memory with “write shaping” to optimise performance and lifespan; Vast DataBase, with a range of options that include SQL, Kafka, Python and Parquet; and Vast DataEngine, a containerised, Python-based layer that brings scalable, event-driven computing on top of storage functionality. This can all exist in the context of what Vast calls the DataSpace, which can be deployed in the cloud or on-premise.
Vast co-founder Jeff Denworth described the resulting agents as providing very high level functions that will allow organisations to automate very mundane tasks.
“A good example is we’re working with a broadcast studio in the *** that’s asked us to create a video summarisation tool,” said Denworth. “So, if I want to watch all of my competitors’ channels and summarise them for producers, they don’t have to actually sit in front of the TVs to know what their competitors are doing.
“To do that, you need to be able to reason, you have to have large video language models, and then you need to contextually make decisions on what makes sense to summarise.”
Why release agents once a month? Surely there will be many different types of customer with various specialised needs? According to Denworth, some base functionality will exist in the agents released, but customers will be able to tailor them to their own use cases.
“We want to encourage adoption. The development environment is just a set of no code/low code tools,” said Denworth. “And the point is, it’s not that hard and there will be ISVs in the space, but there are a lot of customers that just want to roll their own and they don’t know where to get started. If we can develop something that’s 80% of the way there, or 70% of the way there, then that’s sufficient to get the conversation started.”
So, why is Vast reaching out this far into the application space? It started life as almost purely a storage provider but has gone way beyond that. In that, it’s not dissimilar to others that have become deeply involved in what might be considered data management. Agentic AI application building is a step further, however.
According to Denworth, storage was always just a starting point for a journey that would go high into the application stack.
“The reality is that we’ve been working with these since day one,” he said. “Our system is already heavily orchestrated and scheduled and was built with database structures since day one. The thing that we knew best was storage, and storage is the most important part of this because we wanted to build that new foundation that you could layer capability on top of.
“As we look at the ways that customers start to fall down as they go into AI, it typically relates to the data architecture. As an example, vector databases were never designed to be transactional, so if you have a business that is analysing and classifying data from the physical world in real time – it could be video, or whatever – if you don’t have a transactional vector database, then you can’t turn that into something a generative or agentic AI model can use.”

UnitedHealth falls after report it secretly paid nursing homes to reduce hospital transfers
UnitedHealth falls after report it secretly paid nursing homes to reduce hospital transfers
(Reuters) -UnitedHealth shares fell in premarket trading on Wednesday after a Guardian report that the company made secret payments to nursing homes to reduce hospital transfers added to the troubles of the healthcare conglomerate.
The alleged action, part of a series of cost-cutting tactics, has saved the company millions, but at times risked residents’ health, the Guardian reported, citing an investigation.
UnitedHealth said in response that “the U.S. Department of Justice investigated these allegations, interviewed witnesses, and obtained thousands of documents that demonstrated the significant factual inaccuracies in the allegations.”
The company also said in an emailed statement that the DoJ declined to pursue the matter after reviewing all the evidence during its multi-year investigation.
The company’s stock has taken a beating after the Wall Street Journal recently reported that the U.S. Department of Justice had begun a criminal investigation into the company for potential Medicare fraud, which followed CEO Andrew Witty’s abrupt departure and the withdrawal of its 2025 forecast last week.
On Wednesday, UnitedHealth shares fell more than 8% before paring losses and were last down 3% at $311.59.
Separately, HSBC downgraded the stock to “reduce” from “hold,” and cut the price target to a street-low of $270.
“New CEO has opportunity to start on a clean(er) slate, but we see risk to earnings growth along with policy overhang,” HSBC analysts wrote in a note.
The company named former CEO Stephen Hemsley to the top job, counting on his experience to turn around the healthcare giant and steer it through the current crisis.
The brokerage said higher medical costs, pressure on drug pricing and its pharmacy benefit management unit, OptumRx, and a potential Medicaid funding cut, can upset the company’s recovery journey.
UnitedHealth has grappled with several major challenges over the last 12 months, including a cyberattack at its tech unit that affected some 190 million people, a report of an investigation into its Medicare billing practices, and an unexpected surge in medical costs that has hurt its bottom line.
“The news is only seemingly getting worse for UnitedHealth,” said Sahak Manuelian, managing director, global equity trading at Wedbush.
“This is kind of a tough situation for investors to come in and have any kind of confidence in putting money to work, so we’ll have to kind of wait and see how this plays itself out, unfortunately,” Manuelian said.

Xiaomi to Equip Premium Smartphones With Snapdragon 8-Series Chips as Part of Multi-Year Agreement
Xiaomi to Equip Premium Smartphones With Snapdragon 8-Series Chips as Part of Multi-Year Agreement
Qualcomm on Tuesday announced that it has extended its collaboration with Xiaomi. As part of a new multi-year agreement signed by the companies, Xiaomi will equip its upcoming premium smartphones with flagship Snapdragon chips from Qualcomm. Both companies have been working together for the past 15 years, and many of Xiaomi’s high-end smartphones, including the current Xiaomi 15 model, are equipped with Snapdragon chips. The company has also confirmed that it’s next flagship handset will be one of the first phones to feature Qualcomm’s next high-end Snapdragon chip.
Xiaomi to Be One of the First to Adopt Next-Generation Snapdragon Chip
As part of Qualcomm and Xiaomi’s new multi-year agreement, the latter will continue to equip its premium smartphones with Snapdragon 8-series chips in China and other markets. The companies extended their collaboration after 15 years of Xiaomi equipping its smartphones with Snapdragon processors.
The Xiaomi 15 was launched in China last year with a Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, and its successor — the purported Xiaomi 16 — will also feature Qualcomm’s next flagship processor, which is expected to arrive later this year as the Snapdragon Elite 2.
The announcement effectively confirms that the Xiaomi 16 will be one of the first flagship smartphones to be equipped with the successor to the Snapdragon 8 Elite, later this year. Qualcomm also says Xiaomi will increase volume with each year of the multi-year agreement.
Qualcomm has also confirmed that its Snapdragon Summit will take place earlier this year, from September 23 to September 25. The chipmaker’s annual event is typically held in October, and the decision to launch its next flagship chip a month earlier than usual could give phone makers more time to equip their premium phones with the chipset.
The successor to the Snapdragon 8 Elite is said to offer up to 25 percent better performance, and could arrive with support for next-generation LPDDR6 RAM. It might be produced using TSMC’s N3P (3nm) process technology, offering greater efficiency than the company’s existing chipset.
Meanwhile, Xiaomi is also preparing to launch the XRING 01 SoC as its own smartphone processor. The company is expected to announce more details about the chip later this month. It was recently spotted on Geekbench, and its benchmark scores suggest it sits between the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and the Snapdragon 8 Elite in terms of performance.
The upcoming Xiaomi 15s Pro is expected to be the first smartphone to arrive with the XRING 01, and it is slated to launch in China on May 22. Thanks to the extended agreement with Qualcomm, we know that the XRING chip won’t replace flagship Snapdragon chips from Qualcomm on the company’s most expensive models for the coming years.

A ‘fundamental regime shift’ could be underway as investors rethink U.S. assets, ECB says
Luis de Guindos, vice president of the European Central Bank (ECB), at a rates decision news conference in Frankfurt, Germany, on Thursday, Jan. 30, 2025.

The European Central Bank on Wednesday said a “fundamental regime change” could be underway in financial markets as investors appear to be reassessing how risky U.S. assets really are in the wake of trade tariffs.
In its latest Financial Stability Review, the central bank discussed the recent spike in market volatility off the back of global trade tensions driven by U.S. tariff policy.
Markets have been reacting sensitively to the frequent updates around trade and levies from the U.S. and its trading partners. Stocks first tumbled when U.S. President Donald Trump announced sweeping tariffs, before rebounding when he declared a temporary 90-day pause on duties.
“During the turmoil, market functioning – which can be thought of as the ability to trade financial assets quickly without moving prices inordinately – in euro area financial markets held up well,” the ECB noted. “This was despite some atypical shifts away from some traditional safe havens like US Treasuries and the US dollar.”
While this could have been linked to technical factors, the ECB said, it might have also had broader triggers.
“These moves might also have reflected perceptions of a more fundamental regime change, with investors seeming to reassess the riskiness of US assets, possibly leading to broader shifts in global capital flows,” the ECB noted. “This would have potentially far-reaching consequences for the global financial system.”
ECB Vice President Luis de Guindos on Wednesday suggested to CNBC that there was a risk of a market correction down the line. Two key things to currently consider are elevated valuations and strong uncertainty, he told CNBC’s Annette Weisbach.
“Markets are very benign with respect to this scenario. They believe that, you know, growth is going to be low, but we are not going to enter into a recession, inflation is going to decline, and monetary policy will follow suit,” de Guindos explained.
Risks could still emerge, and various issues such as what could happen regarding trade and fiscal policies and regulation from the U.S. government are unclear, he said.
“And these elements give rise to volatility. I think that volatility is, perhaps, you know, the consequence of these two elements …, valuations and uncertainty.”
In its report, the central bank pointed out that it had previously warned about “vulnerabilities posed by high valuations that are not backed by fundamentals,” saying that “this source of risk has now partly materialised.”
Trump’s reciprocal tariff announcement was the trigger for this, the ECB said.
Uncertainty the ‘name of the game’
Taking a broader view, de Guindos said uncertainty linked to U.S. trade, fiscal and regulatory policy was now the “name of the game” throughout financial markets and the global economy. The question was now what this uncertainty and any eventual policy moves meant for Europe and financial stability in the euro area, he suggested.
Looking at inflation and economic growth, de Guindos reiterated that tariffs would be “detrimental” to growth, while the impact on prices was less clear.
In the short term, tariffs would raise the prices of imported goods, while at the same time depressing demand, which could offset the higher costs, he said.
Long-term implications could look very different.
“[In the] long term, if tariffs and trade distortions give rise to fragmentation that will be detrimental to the supply chain, and that could increase the cost of the corporates. And that could be inflationary,” de Guindos said.
Earlier this week, the European Union put out its latest economic projections, cutting its 2025 gross domestic product forecast for both the EU and euro area to 1.1% and 0.9% respectively. This compares to a previous estimate of 1.5% growth for the EU and a 1.3% expansion for the euro area.
Headline inflation is meanwhile expected to slow, falling below the ECB’s 2% target in 2026.

****** Pitchford moves to justify comments that ‘real fans’ would ‘find a way’ to buy Borderlands 4 at $80
****** Pitchford moves to justify comments that ‘real fans’ would ‘find a way’ to buy Borderlands 4 at $80
Gearbox Entertainment CEO ****** Pitchford has attempted to explain recent comments that “true fans” would “find a way” to buy Borderlands 4 if it ends up costing $80.
Earlier this month, Pitchford was asked by a follower on X not to make the game $80, to which he replied that it was “not my call”.
He then added, “If you’re a real fan, you’ll find a way to make it happen. My local game store had Starflight for ***** Genesis for $80 in 1991 when I was just out of high school working minimum wage at an ice cream parlor in Pismo Beach and I found a way to make it happen.”
Pitchford’s comments went relatively unnoticed at the time but have become more widespread this week, with some players criticising the suggestion that players who can’t afford the game aren’t “true fans”.
In a new post on X, Pitchford has linked to a video from a recent Borderlands 4 Q&A, saying: “If you want the truth, here it is”. In the Q&A, Pitchford was asked how much Borderlands 4 will cost, and claimed: “I don’t know, and that is the truth”.
He then explained that while it’s important to make sure games are priced properly, the increased costs of game development and manufacturing are creating an issue where price increases have to be considered.
“And it’s an interesting time, right?” he said. “On one level, we’ve got a competitive marketplace where people want to – or the people that make those choices want to – sell as many units as possible, and they want to be careful about people that are price sensitive. So there’s some folks that don’t want to see prices go up, even the ones deciding what the prices are.
“There’s other folks accepting the reality that game budgets are increasing, and there’s tariffs for the retail packaging, and it’s getting gnarly out there, you guys. Borderlands 4 has more than twice the development budget than Borderlands 3. More than twice.
“So the truth is, I don’t know what the price is going to be. I do know that we will be opening pre-orders soon, and that will be when the price is set.”
If you want the truth, here it is: pic.twitter.com/3bqdA5gIU2
— ****** Pitchford (@DuvalMagic) May 21, 2025
Pitchford went on to say that Gearbox‘s aim is to make sure the game feels like value for money, regardless of the price, meaning that if it does end up costing $80 it’s important for the player to feel like it was money well spent.
“I think that Borderlands 4 – here’s the philosophy we have – whatever the price is, we’re entertainers,” he said. “Yes, we want to get more resources so we can make ******* and better games. There’s a reason why Borderlands 4 is so awesome. It’s because you guys showed up and supported Borderlands 3, and we had the budget, so we could more than double the budget, feel confident in that. And that’s awesome.
“When the revenue comes in, we could spend it to make ******* games and better games. As artists, we want everybody to have it. We want to make it as easy as possible for everybody to enjoy what we’re creating.
“So it’s a weird thing, but the fundamental philosophy is we want people to buy it so we have the resources to make more, but we want everyone who buys and plays a Gearbox game to feel certain that they got the better end of the bargain. Whatever the price is, that they got the best value. And that’s the philosophy that we live by.
“And so we’re going to have a price set soon, and it might be the new price that like Nintendo and Microsoft have led with. It might be that we stay back. It’s going to be the people at the publishing house that decide that.”
He then joked: “And if it is cheaper, then maybe we’ll sell you that mini-map that you guys want, but we’ll develop later. How bad do you want that? Ten bucks? I don’t know. I’m just kidding. Or am I?”
Last month, Gearbox announced it had shifted Borderlands 4’s release date forward, from its original September 23 date to September 12.
It later confirmed that Borderlands 4 will be releasing on Nintendo Switch 2 later this year, on top of the previously announced PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC versions.

Build a Rig That Looks as Good as It Plays
Build a Rig That Looks as Good as It Plays
Whether you’re a beginner putting together your first PC or the veteran everyone in the family comes to for tech support, you don’t want your tech to be overcomplicated. Since most cables are designed to connect to the front of motherboards, the inside of your case can become a rat’s nest of cables. Your time is valuable, and spending it combing through tutorials on installing complicated tech can be a buzzkill.
That’s why the Stealth Ice line of products from GIGABYTE is such a game changer. From neater cable management to the clean, pure-white look, these pieces will make your new custom PC the envy of anyone who paid a premium to grab something pre-built.
Sleek simplicity
In 2022, GIGABYTE introduced the Project Stealth assembly kit. To eliminate cable clutter and help make installation a simpler process, Project Stealth adopted reverse-connector motherboards so users could line their cables up neatly. Not only does that make for a simpler, faster assembly, but it allows you to create a sleek, cableless look, offering more space to showcase your RGB lighting and liquid cooling touches.
Spinning off of Project Stealth, GIGABYTE created the pure-white Stealth Ice Series. With more components available, the options for truly Stealth-powered PCs continue to grow. The motherboards’ connectors are all located in the back. That means the CPU power, fan, and USB sockets are easier to access.
You want your computer to be a gorgeous conversation piece, and proper cable management is only a part of it. The pristine white of the Stealth Ice series makes your rig stand out from the rest. All the pieces in this series are made to work together seamlessly and create an aesthetic you’ll be proud to call your own.
That said, this series of components is made to be highly compatible. You can install the Stealth Ice GPU or motherboards in the C500 Panoramic Stealth Ice chassis, but GIGABYTE has partnered with more than 10 manufacturers to offer over 20 reverse-connector-ready case models. This makes these products an extremely customization-friendly option.
Listen to your mother(board)
These pieces don’t just contribute to a gorgeous build. The power is there. Saying Aah At Aarna Spa at Paséa Hotel & Spa in Huntington Beach

The Balinese-inspired Aarna Spa at Paséa Hotel & Spa in Huntington Beach offers a luxurious sanctuary just steps from where the sun meets the Pacific Ocean. Recognized as one of American Spa Magazine’s “Top Spas in the U.S.,” Aarna Spa spans 5,800 square feet of serene indoor and outdoor treatment areas.

SPA AMENITIES
Arrive early to take advantage of the bubbling warm whirlpool to soak away stress. There is also a warm sauna and steam room to melt away tension.
After a treatment, come back and repeat sitting in the hot water spa, sauna and steam room for additional relaxation.

TREATMENT ROOMS
There are eight beautifully designed rooms, including an atmospheric couples suite. Guests can select from an array of wellness treatments such as the signature Aarna’s Ocean Devotion Massage. It’s a 50 or 80 minute escape to the coast, providing background sounds of the ocean while receiving a uniquely curated massage.
Soothing is the keyword for a Balinese massage, which often starts with a gentle hand washing ritual. Your massage therapist will offer a choice of three aromatherapy scents, before one is poured into a bowl of warm water. While cleansing your hands, you are asked to set an intention. While lying face down on a heated massage table, your therapist enters the room and rings three bell tones as a pre-massage ritual. This activates three chakra areas – crown of your head, heart, and base of your spine.
The gentle sound signals the beginning of the session and helps you transition into a more relaxed state of wellbeing. Warm towels are placed on your back, as Balinese treatment oils are applied with pressure on your skin for a restorative Balinese and Polynesian influenced massage. Wave-like strokes and pulsating pressure similar to the power of ocean waves help to remove toxins in your body and restore balance.

Other treatments include Swedish, Deep Tissue, and Sea Stone massages, as well as HydraFacials resurfacing and an invigorating Bali Escape body scrubs.
Special packages like the “Menari” spa special feature a 50-minute Couples Duet Massage with a 20-minute soaking tub session, and a glass of bubbly.
Enhancements can be added to your massage or facial that include DERMAFLASH to exfoliate dead skin cells, remove peach fuzz and improve the texture and tone of your skin. Other enhancements include lip and eye collagen enhancement masks, foot scrub and essence ring aromatherapy.

Afterwards relax in the Spa Garden in a private outdoor cabana. Enjoy a cup of hot tea or cool hibiscus tea with spa snacks.

Starmer’s winter fuel U-turn seeks to calm Labour nerves
Starmer’s winter fuel U-turn seeks to calm Labour nerves
The details will follow in the Budget this autumn. But make no mistake, this is a U-turn.
The decision to means test the winter fuel allowance was one of the first announcements made by Sir Keir Starmer and Rachel Reeves almost a year ago.
It was intended to demonstrate both the dire state of the government’s economic inheritance and the new regime’s willingness to take tough decisions in response.
It didn’t quite turn out that way.
Early grumblings from MPs generally on the Labour left rapidly spread into more unexpected parts of the party.
Even those MPs who made a decent fist of defending the policy right to the end admitted that it was the most frequently raised issue by members of the public when they were out campaigning.
It was widely blamed for a bad set of local election results and the dismal defeat to Reform at the Runcorn and Helsby by-election on the same day.
There is an interesting debate even among those MPs who were clamouring for a U-turn of this sort about whether the policy was always destined to be a failure.
Some believe that it was intrinsically inept to target a benefit paid to pensioners. Others believe the threshold should have been set higher so that fewer pensioners lost out. Another group say that if the Budget – with a big tax rise and funding boost for public services – had come at the same time, it would have made the winter fuel policy less isolated and as a result less controversial.
And yet another group believe that the government’s failure lay in neglecting to make a positive case for the policy.
Instead of sorrowfully saying they had been forced into the means-testing by Conservative misrule, this argument goes, Sir Keir and Ms Reeves should have argued that there were many pensioners who simply did not need the money.
All that is of academic interest now. A consensus had formed across the Labour Party that the policy was a colossal political misstep and from that point on the logic facing this prime minister – who is utterly unsentimental about moving on from old policy positions – was remorseless.
Why now though?
One reason may be that rumours had reached overdrive that an announcement was in the offing. Given that ministers’ conspicuous non-denials were becoming non-stop, there may have been a calculation that it made more sense just to acknowledge the inevitable now.
But it is also worth considering the broader context. Winter fuel was by no means the only contentious element of this government’s economic policy.
There is a rebellion brewing on the government’s ******** cuts. Those are likely to face a vote in the Commons next month although estimates of how big the rebellion might be vary wildly.
The government is in no mood to concede on that issue – as demonstrated by Work and Pensions Secretary Liz Kendall’s speech this morning. Apart from anything else, they cannot afford to. The ******** reforms raise far more money than the means-testing of winter fuel was meant to.
But Sir Keir and his party whips will now be able to reassure anxious Labour MPs that they do listen to their complaints, even if they cannot address them in every area.
Fundamentally this is embarrassing for Reeves. She made a big, bold and early call and has reversed it within 10 months.
Her economic and political judgment is increasingly widely questioned within her own party – as demonstrated, just as one example, by the memo from Angela Rayner’s department splashed across the front page of the Telegraph this morning.
The most important verdict on this reversal, though, will come from the public.
Is it a sign of strength from a pragmatic government willing to listen to criticism and act fast in response? Or a sign of weakness from an ideologically unmoored government which does not know what it believes?

Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang says U.S. ban on AI chip exports “a failure,” says spread of U.S. chips vital to competitive advantage
Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang says U.S. ban on AI chip exports “a failure,” says spread of U.S. chips vital to competitive advantage
Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang said in an interview that the U.S.’s bans on AI chip exports are “a failure” and are having the exact opposite effect that the White House wants, in that it’s pushing its ******** rivals like Huawei to innovate and build AI hardware that could compete against its offerings. According to the Financial Times, the chief executive of one of the most valuable companies in the world is criticizing Washington, D.C.’s ban on the Nvidia H20, which it specifically built for China.
Huang said that Nvidia had a 95% market share in China in early 2021, at the start of the Biden administration. But today, it has already dropped to just 50% — an effect of the various bans and sanctions that both the Biden and Trump governments have applied to China. However, this does not mean that China’s AI industry is shrinking. Instead, many companies are turning to Nvidia’s ******** competitors.
Many of these companies still haven’t matched Nvidia’s technology, but they’re quickly catching up, especially as China realized that its reliance on American technology means that it can be cut off anytime. That’s why Beijing and several other ******** institutions are supercharging their investments in AI chips. Aside from that, some of the biggest ******** tech companies, like Tencent and Alibaba, have started purchasing locally produced AI tech, which is further fueling research and development of ******** chip makers.
You may like
“The idea of AI diffusion limiting other countries’ access [to] American technology is a mission expressed exactly wrong,” Huang said in an interview with Stratechery. “It should be about accelerating the adoption of American technology everywhere before it’s too late. If the goal is for America to lead, then AI diffusion did exactly the opposite of that.”
Former Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo seemingly agrees with Huang. She was previously quoted as saying that holding back China’s progress through bans and sanctions is a fool’s errand, and that investments in semiconductor manufacturing, research, and innovation should matter more.
Aside from being ineffective, Huang also said that the H20 ban will not just cost Nvidia, but it will also mean that the U.S. will miss out on a lot of taxes. “Its costs are enormously costly. Not only am I losing $5.5 billion — we wrote off $5.5 billion — we walked away from $15 billion of sales, and probably — what is it? — $3 billion worth of taxes,” said the Nvidia CEO. “The China market is about $50 billion a year, and it’s not $50 million, it’s $50 billion. $50 billion is like Boeing, not the plane, the whole company. To leave that behind so that the profits that go with that, the scale that goes with that, the ecosystem building that goes with that —.” The loss of that massive ecosystem is the biggest threat to CUDA in the long run.

Ben Stokes sets England target in Ashes year
Ben Stokes sets England target in Ashes year
England Test captain Ben Stokes has set his sights on taking his team to No.1 in the world rankings.
Andrew Strauss was the last England skipper to reach the summit back in 2011, holding the title for less than a year, but the annual update of the International Cricket Council’s table recently catapulted Stokes’s side from fifth to second. Only rivals Australia remain above them.
When he took over from Joe Root in 2022, the team had slumped to sixth and their lowest points tally in 27 years, but have since won 22 of their last 35 matches.
With Thursday’s one-off game against Zimbabwe followed by a five-match home series against India and a huge Ashes trip down under to come this winter, further successes could lift them back to top.
And Stokes made his ambitions plain in a message to head coach Brendon McCullum and managing director Rob Key.
“When the rankings came out, I did send Baz and Keysy a text saying, ‘We’ve got one more place to go’,” he said.
“Everyone knows when things are going well for us as a team we are incredibly hard to stop. We know it doesn’t always go that way.
“The word ‘ruthless’, I’m not a big fan of. The words I do love and what I’ve tried to instil in this team is ‘dominance’ and ‘dominate’.
“Whatever situation we find ourselves in the game, that’s the word I want to be at the front of our heads.”
England finished a subdued fifth in the most recent World Test Championship table, a curiously uneven structure that rewards teams with gentler fixture lists and heavily penalises slow over-rates.
Stokes has been an outspoken critic of the formula in the past and suggested England’s rankings rise bolstered his case.
“I did make some comments around the World Test Championship and they might make a little bit more sense now, considering we’ve jumped up to second,” he said.
This week’s match at Trent Bridge represents Stokes’s first competitive action since December, when he tore his hamstring in Hamilton. It was a recurrence of a similar injury sustained last summer, leading to a second successive bout of surgery and rehabilitation.
He intends to be back as a fully-functioning allrounder though he may not be required to take an intensive bowling load over the coming days in Nottingham.
Meanwhile, England bowler Jofra Archer has been hit by yet another injury setback that could delay plans for a Test comeback against India.
The 30-year-old hurt his right thumb while fielding for Rajasthan Royals in the Indian Premier League and initial hopes of a quick recovery have receded.
Instead, he is believed to be facing up to a month on the sidelines and has been withdrawn from the forthcoming one-day series against the West Indies.
That timeline also puts his expected red-ball return in doubt.
Archer’s return to action has been carefully managed and he was pencilled in to play for England Lions against India next month with a view to making his long-awaited Test return during the subsequent five-match series.
Archer played the last of his 13 Tests in February 2021 and has since endured multiple injuries to his elbow and back.
England will now need to revisit their plans when he is fit for action again and assess if a Test outing before the end of this summer is viable.

Toram Online to team up with popular anime Bofuri in new collab
Toram Online to team up with popular anime Bofuri in new collab
Bofuri is set to team up with Toram Online
The popular anime chronicles the story of an MMO player with maxed out defence
Further details are incoming, but looks to include exclusive costumes and cosmetics
It’s one of those oddities of Japanese anime and manga that the MMORPG genre is such a popular subject to cover! Be it trapped in another world (Sword Art Online), just inspired by them (Overlord), or in the case of Bofuri, just being overpowered. And now, in hit cross-platform MMORPG Toram Online, you’ll be able to experience new crossover content from the series.
Bofuri: I Don’t Want to Get Hurt, so I’ll Max Out My Defense (catchy name, I know) is an anime series that focuses on the player Maple, an MMORPG gamer who doesn’t like the idea of getting hurt, so she- well, maxes out her defence. Up until the point that she’s effectively invincible.
Joined by her friends, Maple will make an appearance in Toram Online with what looks to be a combination of exclusive costumes and weapons. More details are set to arrive soon, with the collab itself kicking off come May 29th.
High def, low atk
While obscure collabs such as this are often confusing from an outside perspective, I’ve no doubt that if you’re a player of Toram Online, you’re likely already somewhat knowledgeable about anime and manga to some extent.
With that in mind, while details are yet to arrive, you can expect plenty of new and exciting content to come in this collab. And who knows, if you haven’t already, maybe it’ll spur you to watch the upcoming second season of Bofuri and find out what this strange anime concept is all about?
But in the meantime, if you want to check out other options for RPGs out there, there’s no better place to dig in than our list of the top 25 best RPGs on iOS and Android, with top launches from across the world in every subgenre there is!

Google’s AI announcements has analysts excited about the tech giant’s path ahead
Google’s AI announcements has analysts excited about the tech giant’s path ahead
Alphabet’s latest artificial intelligence offering has analysts on Wall Street standing by their optimistic view of the stock. The company unveiled a suite of AI-powered tools at its Google IO developer conference on Tuesday that are available via $249.99 per month subscription called “Google AI Ultra .” The service includes higher usage limits, which will allow users to access the full capability of Google’s large language model Gemini, as well as new initiatives like its AI film making tool Flow and 30 terabytes of storage. The plan also includes a YouTube Premium subscription. The rollout comes as Alphabet is racing to further monetize AI products and services. Head of product incubator Google Labs and the Gemini app Josh Woodward labeled the suite as the “VIP pass for Google AI.” GOOGL 1D mountain Alphabet stock on Wednesday. Here’s what analysts on Wall Street are saying on the heels of the Google IO event. Shares were marginally higher in premarket trading on Wednesday. Evercore ISI, outperform rating, $205 per share price target Analyst Mark Mahaney’s price target calls for more than 25% upside from Tuesday’s $163.98 close. “We don’t believe there will be only one AI winner, but we think Google has successfully proven that it will remain a leader in the AI race. Our two biggest takeaways from this I/O are: 1) Google continues to show a high level of innovation across all fronts; and 2) AI Overviews boosting ‘overview-type’ search queries by roughly 10% in the U.S. and India suggests to us that instead of disrupting Google Search, AI may actually accelerate it,” the analyst said. Morgan Stanley, overweight rating, $185 per share price target Analyst Brian Nowak’s price target implies nearly 13% upside for Alphabet stock. “We believe the value of scaled first party data and distribution is higher than ever … and GOOGL I/O showcased how the company intends to leverage its leading user bases and distribution to drive next generation more personalized ‘search,’ and agentic experiences,” Nowak said. “With time, we see these offerings leading to incremental sources of consumer utility, commercial query volume and monetization for GOOGL.” Bank of America, buy rating, $200 per share price target Analyst Justin Post posited that Google’s race to catch its peers in the large language model race may be ending for the firm. His $200 per share price target calls for about 22% upside. “Given [third-party] benchmarks, and slowing LLM innovation, we think the catch-up phase for Google’s LLM capabilities is coming to an end,” the analyst said. Citizens, market perform rating, no price target Analyst Andrew Boone said that Google’s latest AI push doesn’t provide enough of a tailwind to offset potential concerns from its antitrust troubles as well as declining search queries. “While we come away from I/O believing search is able to increasingly cover more queries and tasks, the monetization required of Google’s distribution contracts (including Apple’s) and from public investors leads us to believe Google will continue to offer an inferior search product to ChatGPT’s as we worry that Google search revenue faces headwinds over the next few years,” the analyst said. Citi, buy rating, $200 per share price target Citi analyst Ronald Josey said that Google’s I/O can separate itself from rising competition by defining itself by personalizing user experiences. “With AI Mode going live in the U.S., the Gemini App reaching 400M MAUs [monthly active users] (vs. ~350M in March), and AI Overviews delivering query growth, we believe GOOGL’s product cadence and user adoption of newer tools is ramping which should provide some stability for Search growth,” the analyst said. “The core underlying theme of I/O, in our view, was the focus on creating a more personalized user experience as Google builds out the Agentic experience on Mariner, Astra, and Gemini App products and launches its version of AI glasses.” Goldman Sachs, buy rating, $220 per share price target Goldman’s forecast implies roughly 34% upside for Alphabet stock. “We came away from the keynote presentation increasingly constructive on Alphabet’s long-term strategic positioning across many end-markets (both consumer & enterprise-facing; search & non-search) and continue to see the company as the leading collection of AI/machine learning-driven businesses in our coverage universe,” analyst Eric Sheridan said.

British tourist accused of taking nude photos of Namibian children
British tourist accused of taking nude photos of Namibian children
A British national has been arrested in Namibia for allegedly ********* molesting minors and taking nude photographs of them.
Douglas Robert Brook is also accused of touching the children’s private parts while on a holiday in central Namibia.
Police said the suspect targeted young boys and girls from the indigenous San community in the central Otjozondjupa region.
The 65-year old Briton faces 38 charges, including *****, indecent assault and child exploitation, Namibia local media reported.
The British national, who arrived in Namibia last week for a holiday, is yet to respond to the charges.
He was arrested on Sunday after he allegedly lured 34 young children with sweets and money to take their photos while they were naked.
Maureen Mbeha, a regional police boss, told state media that the tourist ********* abused 16 teenage girls and 14 boys.
Some of the nude photographs of the children were reportedly found on the Briton’s camera, which was confiscated by police after his arrest.
He appeared in the Grootfontein Magistrate court, north of the capital, Windhoek, on Tuesday where he was denied bail and remanded in custody, the Namibia Press Agency reported.
The case was postponed to next month after the state prosecutor requested more time for investigations.
“The tourist remains in police custody,” Information Minister Emma Theofelus told the BBC.
The *** embassy in Namibia said it had “no information beyond what has been reported in the media”.
In a statement, the Namibian Ministry of Environment and Tourism said the actions were “deeply disrespectful to the cultural heritage of the San community”.
“It is unacceptable for any visitor, foreign or local, to exploit or objectify indigenous communities or their children for any purpose, including photography,” the ministry said in a statement cited by Informanté newspaper.
The southern African country is a popular tourism destination for its breath-taking desert landscapes and rich cultural heritage.
