  1. Podcast: RSA 2025 – AI’s risk surface and the role of the CISO Podcast: RSA 2025 – AI’s risk surface and the role of the CISO In this podcast, we talk to Mathieu Gorge, CEO of Vigitrust, about key topics at RSA 2025 in San Francisco. The impact of artificial intelligence (AI) on compliance was huge. Gorge discusses its spread in the enterprise and how this impacts the potential risk surface for organisations. Meanwhile, he also notes the trend among suppliers towards a more consultative approach based around business outcomes. Finally, and with reference to the impact of AI on organisations, compliance, and their data, he talks about the discussion at RSA about the role of the CISO – chief information security officer – and whether they should be (solely) responsible in the face of risks posed by AI. What were the key topics of relevance to data, storage and data protection that came up at RSA 2025? I’ve been going to RSA in the US for about 20 years, and I’ve done a few in Europe. And generally speaking, every year, there’s one single topic, whether it was blockchain, it was orchestration, then last year was about AI deployment, AI adoption. This year, it was kind of hard to see one single trend. However, what we can say is that based on the talks, and based on what the vendors were doing, compliance is at an all-time high. You could feel the energy, you could feel the innovation in compliance. There were a lot of vendors on the GRC [governance, risk, compliance] front, there were vendors on specific areas of compliance and data protection. So, that was interesting to see. The next thing is we felt when we were there with some of my colleagues, that at least on the vendor showcase, the narrative had changed. It was more about the business outcome of using the right products. So, whereas in the past, typically at RSA, it was like pure sales: buy my encryption, because you need encryption; buy my storage solution, because you need proper storage. This year, it really felt like a lot of work had been done on the business outcome of selecting solutions. So, the business outcome being, well, you’ll be more compliant, you’ll be able to demonstrate you’re doing data protection, you’ll be able to at a click of a button, know where you have data issues and where you don’t. And then there was also the role of CISOs. CISOs were mentioned a good bit and extended to head of risk, head of compliance, and talking about the role of CISOs, specifically with regards to AI adoption. Are the CISOs the right people to be in charge of AI adoption? Are they not busy enough already dealing with data protection? Who else should work with the CISOs? Who else should be looking after AI governance, which was also one of the big themes in the organisation? And what does it mean for compliance and for data protection? And there were some very interesting talks about that. Could you expand a little on how vendors are emphasising business outcomes rather than necessarily their functionality or what they are particularly offering? I felt the vendors were taking a more consultative approach, where you could see that some of them had case studies, whitepapers on the benefits of doing compliance the right way, as opposed to “you have to do compliance so whether you like it or not, you’re going to have to use us or our competitors”. It was a case of, we’re now in a state where with AI adoption, the risk surface goes up tremendously. It reminds me of cloud where people could buy services and extend the risk surface with bypassing security and compliance. And we see that happen with AI deployments as well. So, I felt there was a genuine direction from the vendor community and from the speakers to say, “Hey, we are going to adopt AI, so let’s try and do it the right way without compromising the rest of the security that we’re doing. Let’s try and understand what the right AI governance is for different types of AI deployments. And then let’s focus on how we can manage that in an easier way.” And then came the question I already mentioned, which was who really should be in charge of that? Is it just the CISO, or is it the CISO and the chief AI officer, or do we need a chief AI security officer? And what does it mean for compliance? Really one of the key messages is that with AI, you just have a lot more data and you have less control on the new data that is being created. And so you need to have the right frameworks. And whilst there are already many AI frameworks out there to manage AI deployments and AI in terms of data classification, they’re not always well known. In fact, even some of the CISOs are not necessarily aware of them. So, I think as an industry, we have a duty to show up and make it easier for them to do the right thing because the risk surface is definitely going up. 3. ‘I made a lot of mistakes with Google Glass’: Google’s Sergey Brin admits missteps but says Android XR has a bright future for one big reason ‘I made a lot of mistakes with Google Glass’: Google’s Sergey Brin admits missteps but says Android XR has a bright future for one big reason Sergey Brin, the man most responsible for Google Glass, is out of retirement and back at the company he cofounded, helping make AI happen. He’s also touting a new kind of “Glass” or, more accurately, Android XR smart glasses while admitting to some big Google Glass missteps. Brin unexpectedly took the stage at Google I/O 2025 for a sitdown with Big Technology Podcast’s Alex Kantrowitz and DeepMind’s CEO Demis Hassabis on Tuesday. While the discussion mostly revolved around Gemini, Google’s generative AI platform, Kantrowitz asked Brin what he learned from the Google Glass experience and how he might apply that to the modern Android XR Glasses project. With bracing candor, Brin told Kantrowitz, “I definitely feel like I made a lot of mistakes with Google Glass, I’ll be honest.” You may like It’s quite an admission from Brin, who more than a decade ago was Google Glass’ biggest champion and memorably hosted a launch featuring wing-suit skydivers jumping from a plane while wearing Google Glass. It was a spectacular moment, but even there, Brin now sees a flaw and how he might avoid a similar misstep. Talking about how much he missed that big launch moment, Brin turned his attention to the new XR glasses’ own launch. “Maybe…we should probably polish the product this time, when it’s ready and available, and then we’ll do a really cool demo. So, that’s probably a smart move.” Brin may see the blemishes and ultimate failure of Google Glass, the first wearable smart glasses that let you use gestures, head tilts, and even blinks to take a picture, but there was a moment between 2012 to 2014, when Google Glass was everywhere. I wore my pair to a fashion show and CES, and on numerous network TV shows. Brin was spotted on the subway wearing his. They were, for a time, a cultural phenomenon, but also ridiculous, almost as quickly spawing the meme “Glassholes“. Sign up for breaking news, reviews, opinion, top tech deals, and more. Would be cool if this guy showed up again at #GoogleIO. This is from a decade ago (at a different event) when Sergey showed me how to take a selfie with Google Glass pic.twitter.com/y0zlrMyR5cMay 14, 2024 Still, I appreciated Brin’s enthusiasm, and when I ran into him more than a decade ago, while wearing Google Glass, naturally, he graciously took the time to show me how you could take a selfie with Google Glass (yes, it involved removing them from your face). Glass suffered early on from availability and pricing issues ($1,500 / £1,000, or around AU$2,000) and Brin points to his naivete as the cause: “I just didn’t know anything about consumer electronics supply chains really, and how hard it would be to build that and have it be at a reasonable price point….This time, we have great partners that are helping us build this.” The point here is that instead of Google trying to figure any of this out, it now has companies like Samsung, Gentle Monster, and Warby Parker, all experts in building consumer products, supply chains, and retail pricing, building the Android XR Glasses for them. AI will make the clear difference Google Glass faded into ignominy, but Brin sees Google’s return to smart glasses in a fresh light, and it’s mostly because of his new **** project at Google: AI and Gemini. Aside from the form factor, which did not look like normal glasses, Google Glass might have been ahead of its time. They were “smart” without really having any true smarts of their own. “Now, in the AI World,” said Brin, “the things these glasses can do to help you out without constantly distracting you, that capability is much higher.” And it potentially makes interacting with Android XR Glasses much more natural. It’s also why Google and its partners are putting Gemini at the center of these Android XR wearables. A Google presenter wearing Google Android XR Glasses at Google I/O 2025. (Image credit: Future) Finally, Hassabis, who’d been watching the whole exchange, chimed in, “I feel like the universal assistant is the killer app for smart glasses, and I think that’s what’s gonna make it work.” This all makes sense; a powerful AI sitting resident on your face in a familiar form factor that asks for nothing more than voice commands to do your bidding, but can also watch and act on your behalf. That’s the future of smart glasses, and one that Google Glass aspired to but never achieved. Android XR Glasses will be Brin’s second smart glasses act and, perhaps, the one he’ll ultimately be best remembered for. 6. Asus ROG Falcata brings split layout and magnetic switches to competitive gaming Asus ROG Falcata brings split layout and magnetic switches to competitive gaming The ROG division at Asus has announced two gaming peripherals at Computex 2025, primarily targeting eSports gamers and enthusiasts. This new range is said to complement the recently unveiled ROG Strix Ace XG248QSG gaming monitor, which can be overclocked to achieve a super-fast refresh rate of 610 Hz. Asus has been releasing some interesting keyboards, such as the ROG Azoth Extreme and the Strix Scope II 96 Wireless. The new ROG Falcata adds to this lineup with its unique split 75% layout, which can be used either as a full board or as a single half. This configuration is particularly useful for gaming, as it frees up desk space for more comfortable mouse movement. The keyboard supports three connectivity options, including USB-C wired, 2.4 GHz wireless, and Bluetooth, and it can connect to up to three devices simultaneously. Asus ROG Falcata (Image credit: Asus) The Falcata uses ROG HFX V2 magnetic switches that come pre-lubed and offer adjustable actuation from 0.1mm to 3.5mm, with fine-tuning available in 0.01mm increments. The switches feature a polycarbonate top housing and POM (Polyoxymethylene) plastic for the stem and bottom housing, and are rated for 100 million keystrokes. Asus claims that the internal snap-fit mechanism helps maintain consistent actuation and reduces key wobble. You may like A dedicated toggle on the top edge allows users to enable or disable Rapid Trigger mode, which determines how quickly a key can re-register after being released. A multifunction wheel and button next to the toggle let users adjust settings such as actuation point, Rapid Trigger sensitivity, volume, media playback, and lighting. The keyboard also includes four layers of dampening foam to reduce noise and vibration, and each section comes with its own detachable silicone wrist rest. According to Asus, the keyboard features an 8000 Hz polling rate via ROG SpeedNova 8K wireless technology and can deliver up to 610 hours of battery life. Next is the ROG Harpe II Ace gaming mouse, offering up to 42,000 DPI sensitivity, which honestly sounds like overkill. The mouse uses the company’s new ROG AimPoint Pro optical sensor, which supports tracking on glass surfaces. It features an ultralight 48g shell made from bio-based nylon, making it both eco-friendly and impact-resistant. The shape is designed to suit both claw and fingertip grips, with a small hump and tapered sidewalls for improved handling and lift. Asus ROG Harpe II Ace (Image credit: Tom’s Hardware) The optical micro switches on the Harpe II Ace are rated for 100 million clicks, and like the ROG Falcata, it supports an 8000Hz polling rate via ROG SpeedNova 8K. It also includes large PTFE feet, while the matte coating is designed to reduce sweat and improve grip. The mouse also features a special mode, which optimizes performance by disabling RGB lighting, increasing the polling rate, and adjusting power settings. Additionally, the mouse can be configured using the company’s new browser-based adjustment tool called ROG Gear Link. Get Tom’s Hardware’s best news and in-depth reviews, straight to your inbox. In addition to the peripherals, Asus is also introducing two new gaming chairs, which are notably named after medieval horses. The ROG Courser comes with a reclining system that adjusts from 90 to 155 degrees and 4D armrests for full-angle adjustments. There is also a customizable lumbar support system for depth and height, a detachable magnetic headrest, and concealed RGB light strips. Asus ROG Destrier Core (Image credit: Asus) The ROG Destrier Core is a pretty standard-looking desk chair that includes a mesh backrest, adjustable headrest, lumbar support, and padded armrests with a special height setting for mobile gaming. It also features a durable nylon frame designed for better airflow. Follow Tom’s Hardware on Google News to get our up-to-date news, analysis, and reviews in your feeds. 9. Fujitsu raked in £80m from HMRC in March alone, despite Post Office scandal Fujitsu raked in £80m from HMRC in March alone, despite Post Office scandal Fujitsu was paid £80m by HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) in March alone as its public sector business continues unabated, despite its involvement in one of the biggest miscarriages of justice in *** history. In the first quarter of this year, the IT giant received about £123m of taxpayers’ cash from HMRC alone, but although talks have begun, it is yet to commit to an amount it will pay towards the costs of the scandal it fuelled. According to the latest HMRC spending figures, which include all contracts worth over £25,000, the department’s £80m spending with Fujitsu in March included more than £48m for mobile phones and tablet computers. Other HMRC spending with Fujitsu in March included about £4.9m for other IT hardware, £4.9m for physical hosting and infrastructure, £4.6m for IT software licences and support, and £1.7m for desktop services. March was a bumper month. In comparison, January saw HMRC pay £25m to Fujitsu, which was its largest supplier that month in terms of value. It paid the supplier £18m in February, where it was the second largest supplier to HMRC, behind fellow IT giant Capgemini. The £123m paid in three months reveals growing spend with Fujitsu. According to government figures, HMRC spent about £240m with Fujitsu over the whole of 2024. Fujitsu could land over half a billion pounds in contracts from HMRC alone this year as the *** public sector continues to reward the supplier. The huge numbers come despite Fujitsu’s self-imposed pause on bidding for government contracts after its role in the Post Office scandal became more widely understood. Fujitsu supported the Post Office when it blamed and prosecuted subpostmasters for unexplained account shortfalls, which were caused by software errors it was aware of. Fujitsu has finally agreed to negotiate its contribution towards the huge costs of the scandal. In March, the government announced there was an agreement to begin talks on compensation. Fujitsu has previously stated it would wait until the public inquiry’s conclusion before committing to talks. The public inquiry has finished its public hearings, but as yet there is no date for the publication of the report from chair Wynn Williams. Jo Hamilton, a subpostmaster in South Warnborough, Hampshire, between 2003 and 2005, who had a wrongful conviction for false accounting overturned in 2021, said: “It seems to me that Fujitsu is filling its boots with cash while it can, because its days are numbered.” Peer James Arbuthnot, a long-time campaigner for justice for subpostmasters, who was previously Hamilton’s MP in North East Hampshire, said: “Why on earth is the government undermining its own bargaining position with Fujitsu, a company that has yet to pay a penny towards the carnage it helped cause in the Post Office?” The government is not just failing to get a contribution from Fujitsu – it is actually paying money to Fujitsu James Arbuthnot, Conservative peer and former MP He stressed that the entire bill for paying back money to the subpostmasters has come from taxpayers. “The government is not just failing to get a contribution from Fujitsu – it is actually paying money to Fujitsu, which is digging in its position in order to contribute as little as it can.” He listed some of Fujitsu’s decisions that enabled the Post Office scandal. “Let’s not forget it was Fujitsu that was altering the subpostmasters’ accounts remotely, while denying it was doing it and not keeping a record of what they were doing. It was Fujitsu that, knowing of the bugs and faults in their software, were swearing on oath in court that those bugs and faults did not exist. And it was Fujitsu that then watched the subpostmasters be convicted as a result of Fujitsu’s lies, and stood back as thousands of lives were ruined,” he said. “It’s time for this to stop,” he added. An HMRC spokesperson said: “We work with hundreds of suppliers – big and small – and our contracts are publicly available to view through Contracts Finder or Find A Tender. The size and complexity of our IT estate means that multiple partners are involved in building and maintaining almost all of our systems and services.”  Former subpostmaster Scott Darlington, who had his wrongful conviction for false accounting overturned in 2021, is still waiting for his full financial redress. “It’s the usual story. I mean, for some reason, the government doesn’t mind handing out huge amounts of money to different legal teams, corporations, Fujitsu and all that, but when it comes to paying us, they really seem to resent everything about it. They will try and knock you down £50 here and there and stuff like that.” Computer Weekly first exposed the scandal in 2009, revealing the stories of seven subpostmasters and the problems they suffered due to Horizon accounting software, which led to the most widespread miscarriage of justice in British history (see below timeline of Computer Weekly articles about the scandal since 2009). 10. This Ag play at all-time highs is due for a reversal. How to trade it with options This Ag play at all-time highs is due for a reversal. How to trade it with options With agricultural commodity prices facing downward pressure due to oversupply, Deere & Co (DE) is likely to face headwinds as demand for heavy machinery weakens. DE, a leading agricultural equipment manufacturer, has seen its stock rally significantly in recent months, but the recent peak suggests that the uptrend may be losing steam. This creates an opportunity to position for a potential pullback in DE, especially as macroeconomic conditions weigh on the agricultural sector. Trade timing The timing for adding bearish exposure to DE is optimal, as the stock has reached a recent all-time high and is showing signs of exhaustion with bearish divergence on the weekly RSI. While the stock made a higher high, the RSI formed a lower high, indicating weakening momentum and potential for a reversal. This divergence, combined with macro headwinds in the agricultural sector, suggests a pullback is likely, making this an attractive entry point for a bearish trade Fundamentals DE trades at a premium to its industry on a forward P-E basis, which is supported by growth and profitability metrics that exceed the industry average, however, with 6 straight quarters of revenue and EPS declines, there is substantial risk to this elevated valuation. Forward PE Ratio: 28.1x vs. Industry Median 17.8x Expected EPS Growth: 18.5% vs. Industry Average 2.5% Expected Revenue Growth: 7.8% vs. Industry Average 1.2% Net Margin: 13.0% vs. Industry Average 8.9% Bearish thesis Net Sales Decline : DE just posted a 16% YoY decline in sales with every business unit posting double digit declines across the board. Net Income Decline : The most recent quarter just saw a 22% YoY decline in EPS showing the significant challenges in agriculture equipment macroeconomic conditions. Technical Reversal Signal : The bearish divergence on the weekly RSI, with the stock hitting $532.47 while RSI fails to confirm the high, signals a potential reversal and pullback. The trade To capitalize on DE’s potential downside, I’m buying a Jun 20, 2025 $530/520 Put Vertical @ $4.48 Debit. This entails: Buying the Jun 20, 2025 $530 put @ $15.73 Selling the Jun 20, 2025 $520 put @ $11.25 The maximum reward is $552 if DE is above $530 at expiration. The maximum risk is $448 if DE is below $520 at expiration. The breakeven point for this trade is $525.52. View this Trade with Updated Prices at OptionsPlay This strategy positions you to benefit from DE’s anticipated pullback, leveraging the bearish RSI divergence, overvaluation concerns, and macro headwinds to profit from a potential decline in this agricultural equipment stock with defined risk. 12. Rainbow Six Siege X Will be the Next Concord If Ubisoft Doesn’t Abandon 1 Horrendous Practice Rainbow Six Siege X Will be the Next Concord If Ubisoft Doesn’t Abandon 1 Horrendous Practice Rainbow Six Siege X going free-to-play is good news; however, will it be viable for Ubisoft? It’s not like it’s a bad game and can’t compete in the free-to-play market. Rather, the problem is Ubisoft developers themselves, who can hamper the success of their shooter. Anyone who has played Rainbow Six Siege previously knows how horrendous the development has been, while it was a paid game. The level of bugs and hacker infestation led to it losing many players before. Freemium games have done much better if brought into consideration. They shouldn’t repeat their past, or it’ll cost dearly. Rainbow Six Siege X developers pose a great threat to the success of the free-to-play title They better not repeat their past mistake. | Image Credit: Ubisoft Before getting into the dark side of Rainbow Six Siege, let’s talk about the good days that led to its success. The shooter title was initially one of the best tactical experiences anyone could have. It had decent new additions and events that kept folks captivated. Moreover, developers cared about the whole community and listened to their feedback for improving the game. They even dedicated an entire season (Operation Health) to fix the game because they wanted to keep the fanbase happy. The amount of care made the community strong and led to a gain in player base. They are seemingly doing the same with the release of Rainbow Six Siege X. However, there is a graveyard of mistakes that has completely erased players’ trust. There have been many instances where they didn’t deliver what they proposed. Additionally, they’ve misguided players with their promises. They have huge plans with Rainbow Six Siege X, and the roadmap is full of it. However, their past doesn’t allow the community to trust them fully. Because most of the time, the delivered product was either buggy, created issues for existing mechanics, or broke their promise mid-year. Ubisoft developers cannot be trusted fully Since Rainbow Six Siege X will be a free-to-play game, any bug or brain-dead changes will push players away. If a bug is found, most freemium developers are quick about hot fixing it, but Ubisoft takes a lot of time. Think of it: The crossplay feature was brought out nine years later. Being prompt has been a Ubisoft problem for a long time. I hope it isn’t repeated. It all started to fall apart somewhere around Year 4 of Rainbow Six Siege. Why? Because the game was getting very buggy, with broken hit registration and many cheating issues. This is something Siege has been tackling for a long time now. Still, it was breathable, due to all the great events and operators it brought. The main issues started with Year 7, when Ubisoft started favoring the decisions of Pro League players rather than the regular community. They made left and right changes, even though it was okay for every single player. This set an image that the developers only cared about their Pro League community and not the majority. Furthermore, Ubisoft repeated limited events introduced during Years 4 and 5. This further angered the community, and everyone lost faith in them. The amount of negligence players faced is immeasurable, even though it was a paid game. Almost forgot the cherry on top, crossplay delay. The developers first introduced the idea of crossplay back in Year 7, and they promised to launch it by the end of the year. However, it was misleading, as the crossplay feature was limited as it only allowed for inter-console. The full feature that includes PC took two years and was finally released with Operation Collision Point(Y9S4). What do you think? Will Rainbow Six Siege X redeem itself on its tenth anniversary? Do you think Ubisoft will remain the same or be worse than before since it’s free now? Let us know in the comments below. 13. Trump and Musk meeting with South Africa’s president at White House amid tense relations Trump and Musk meeting with South Africa’s president at White House amid tense relations President Trump is meeting with South African President Cyril Ramaphosa at the White House on Wednesday, with South African-born billionaire Elon Musk present, for a critical conversation amid tensions between the U.S. and South Africa. A White House official confirmed Musk will join the meeting with the two world leaders, as Mr. Trump echoes Musk’s claim that genocide is being committed against White Afrikaners. The U.S. accepted 59 White Afrikaners last week, granting them status as refugees. Mr. Trump has repeatedly said White farmers in South Africa have been targets of “genocide” — an allegation South Africa has rejected — and insists South Africa is “out of control.” The South African government denies that White Afrikaners have faced racial discrimination. And Ramaphosa has deemed the individuals “cowards” for resettling in the U.S. Ramaphosa’s office said the White House meeting, set to begin at 11:30 a.m. ET, will offer a “platform to reset the strategic relationship between the two countries.” Mr. Trump has levied new tariffs on South Africa, as he has virtually everywhere else. Afrikaners are White South Africans of Dutch descent who have lived in South Africa for four centuries. In addition to English, Afrikaners have their own language, Afrikaans, which has its roots in Dutch and is one of 12 official languages of South Africa. The expedited process for the Afrikaners comes as the Trump administration is working to suspend the refugee admission program, drawing multiple court challenges. In a tense exchange during a hearing on Capitol Hill Tuesday on budget matters, Democratic Sen. Tim Kaine of Virginia asked Secretary of State Marco Rubio if the Afrikaners are more persecuted than the Uyghurs or Rohingyas, or dissidents in Cuba, Venezuela or Nicaragua, or than those who would be threatened by the Taliban, should they return to Afghanistan. Kaine suggested the Trump administration is giving preference to Afrikaners due to the color of their skin, and asked Rubio why the U.S. should prioritize Afrikaners. Rubio said the Afrikaners are a “small subset.” “It’s a new issue,” Rubio said. “And the president identified it as a problem and wanted to use it as an example. But that’s different from having these refugee programs that were basically spending money to put people up in communities and accommodate them, and it was acting as a magnet.” “Let me challenge you, and I’m just going to say for the public, if you want to understand about the quote, persecution, of Afrikaner farmers, go look at the composition of the South African government,” Kaine responded. “Since July of 2024, there’s a government of national unity. And the opposition party today — the ANC — the Afrikaner Party, the Democracy Alliance, is part of the governing coalition. They joined the governing coalition a year ago, and the leader of that party was given the remit of Agriculture Minister Jan Steenhuisen, and he is the leader of the former Afrikaner party, still widely representing Afrikaners. He is the minister of agriculture in South Africa right now. 14. South Carolina death row inmate seeks to volunteer to die after friends are executed South Carolina death row inmate seeks to volunteer to die after friends are executed COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — After his best friend and four other of his fellow death row inmates have been put to death in less than a year, a South Carolina inmate wants to become his own attorney which would likely mean his own execution in weeks or months. A federal judge has ordered a 45-day delay in James Robertson’s request to have a different lawyer talk to him and make sure he really wants to fire his own attorneys and deal with the likely lethal consequences of his decision. Robertson, 51, has been on death row since 1999 after killing both his parents in their Rock Hill home. He beat his father with the claw end of a hammer and a baseball bat and stabbed his mother. He tried to make it look like a robbery in hopes he would get his part of their $2.2 million estate, prosecutors said. Robertson has fired his lawyers before. Not long after he arrived on death row he wanted to drop his appeals after a card playing buddy never appealed his death sentence for setting a van on fire with his daughter inside outside his ex-wife’s house. A letter from a death row inmate A one-page letter from Robinson landed in a federal judge’s mailbox on April 7, four days before South Carolina executed its fifth inmate in seven months. It said Robertson and his lawyer had a difference of opinion. Since “no ethical attorney will withdraw an appeal that will result in their client’s execution,” Robertson said he was ready to represent himself. Robertson’s attorney Emily Paavola responded in court documents that Robertson wasn’t taking medication for depression, suffered from chronic back pain and a skin condition that made him more depressed and was distressed over those five executions that dropped the close-knit death row population from 30 to 25. Included was Robertson’s best friend on death row, Marion Bowman Jr., killed by lethal injection on Jan. 31, Paavola said. Paavloa asked the judge to hold off on Robertson’s request for four months so he could have a full psychiatric evaluation to decide if he is mentally competent. Prosecutors suggested the judge could talk to Robertson on her own and decide if was able to act as his own lawyer. Judge Mary Gordon Baker decided to have a different lawyer talk to Robertson, making sure he understands the implications and consequences of his decision and report back by early July. Not the first time Back in the early 2000s, Robertson also sought to drop all his appeals. He told a judge at the time he thought he got the better end of the deal with a death sentence instead of life in prison without parole and he had been let down by every lawyer he had encountered since his arrest. A judge asked Robertson at a 2002 hearing about his friend Michael Passaro’s decision to volunteer for the death chamber. “It hasn’t changed my view. What it did was it made me understand — enhanced reality a bit — to see my best friend go from one day playing cards with me to the next day not being here any more,” Robertson said. “He basically has taken a similar route that I’m choosing to take now and we spoke often about his decision.” Volunteers for death Volunteers, as they are called in death penalty circles, have been around since the death penalty was reinstated 50 years ago. About 10% of all U.S. executions are inmates who agree to die before finishing all their appeals, according to statistics from the Death Penalty Information Center. Research by the center and academics found that nearly all volunteers had mental illness that may have led them to decide they no longer wanted to live. The rate of volunteers has taken a steady decline along with the number of executions. From 2000 to 2009, 65 of the 590 U.S. executions involved an inmate who dropped appeals, including Timothy McVeigh for killing 148 people in the Oklahoma City bombing. From 2020 to now, just seven of the 111 people put to death have been considered volunteers by the center. Prosecutor understands not fighting death sentence The prosecutor who sent Robertson to death row said he can understand why inmates choose to stop fighting their sentences. “If you told me — be incarcerated on death row the rest of your life or just go ahead and go to the Lord, you know, I might choose the latter too,” said Tommy Pope, now Speaker Pro Tem of the South Carolina House. But Pope said 26 years ago, he also observed a young man with above average intelligence who likes to work the system when he can and often thinks he is smarter than his attorneys. “As usual with Jimmy, it will remain to be seen how it plays out until the very end,” Pope said. The remaining production, which primarily comes from Europe, is facing an increase in tariffs, but they will have “minimal financial impact,” she said. CEO Dani Reiss echoed that sentiment, adding that the “vast majority” of the retailer’s products are not currently impacted by tariffs. “This is not the first time Canada Goose has successfully navigated uncertainty. We’ve endured challenging times before, through 2008, through Covid, and each time we’ve emerged stronger,” Reiss said. Chief Financial Officer Neil Bowden added that tariffs are not directly material to the fiscal year 2026 financial plans, but the “indirect effect of these actions on the global economy and changing landscape create greater uncertainty for us,” especially as the company is months away from its peak revenue periods. As of Monday’s close, shares had fallen nearly 14% year to date, hitting an all-time low last month after Barclay’s analysts downgraded the stock and cut their price target. The luxury sector as a whole has shown signs of weakness, with major luxury players like LVHM, Burberry and Gucci-owner Kering reporting a slowdown in sales in the quarter. Canada Goose, known for its luxury parkas and puffer jackets that can retail for over $1,000, has tried to expand into the non-winter category by offering products like rain jackets and warm-weather clothing. Its eyewear collection, introduced in the fourth quarter, was the company’s first online product launch, featuring artificial intelligence-powered virtual try-on tools. Xbox’s Hellblade 2 is officially coming to PS5 this summer with PS5 Pro enhancements Xbox’s Hellblade 2 is officially coming to PS5 this summer with PS5 Pro enhancements Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 is officially coming to PlayStation 5 this summer, Microsoft has announced. The game, which was released for Xbox and PC in 2024, will be released on PlayStation 5 to celebrate its one-year anniversary. No specific release date was listed. The PS5 version of the game will also include “new features” that will come to PC and Xbox at the same time as a free patch; however, these weren’t detailed. “Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II arrives optimized for PlayStation 5, and PS5 Pro Enhanced, with added features and immersive haptic feedback for new ways to experience the award-winning and critically acclaimed next chapter of Senua’s story,” according to the PlayStation store listing for the game. VGC’s Hellblade 2 review said it was “a mechanically dated game carried along by its incredible presentational flair”. “Fans of the first game could perhaps split it across a few nights for a better experience, and Melina Juergens’ performance deserves to be seen,” we said. “It also deserves a more engaging experience, however.” Xbox announced last February plans to bring a wave of games to PlayStation and Nintendo Switch, in what appeared to be a significant change of strategy, starting with Pentiment, Hi-Fi Rush, Sea of Thieves and Grounded. Doom: The Dark Ages, Indiana Jones and The Great Circle, and Forza Horizon 5 have all made their way to PlayStation, with it being widely speculated that all of Microsoft‘s first-party titles will also come to Sony‘s console going forward. Last November, Microsoft’s gaming CEO Phil Spencer reiterated that the company won’t rule out any first-party Xbox game potentially coming to rival platforms such as PlayStation and Nintendo in the future. 18. What is hyperconverged storage? | Definition from TechTarget What is hyperconverged storage? | Definition from TechTarget Hyperconverged storage is a software-defined approach to storage management that combines storage, compute, virtualization and networking technologies in one physical unit that’s managed as a single virtualized system. This modern approach is one aspect of hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI). In HCI, various resources, including storage, are untethered from individual hardware, consolidated through virtualization and managed using software-defined networking (SDN). This makes hyperconverged storage more flexible, scalable, cost-effective and easy to manage compared to traditional storage solutions. Why hyperconverged storage? Hyperconverged storage is a type of software-defined storage (SDS) because each node has a software layer running virtualization software identical to all other nodes in the cluster. That software layer virtualizes the resources in the individual node and shares them with the other nodes in the cluster. This enables administrators to use resources as a single storage or compute pool. Hyperconverged storage provides greater control over storage provisioning in a virtual server environment. Besides providing administrators with single-pane-of-glass management capabilities, hyperconverged storage nodes can be connected and scaled out horizontally. This lets administrators create a distributed storage infrastructure in which direct-attached storage components from each physical server are combined to form logical DAS components that accommodate a logical, scalable, flexible pool of disk capacity. Hyperconverged storage vs. converged storage In an HCI system, each physical box or appliance is a node in the larger cluster of shared resources, including storage. The storage attached to the node is shared with the other nodes in the cluster, providing a larger, flexible storage pool. Instead of using dedicated hardware, node resources are virtualized using SDN. This provides greater flexibility and control over the storage resources than converged storage. The SDS controller is at the core of hyperconverged storage. The SDS function, built into individual nodes, abstracts and pools storage resources to facilitate dynamic resource allocation and easy management. Key hyperconverged storage features include scalable performance and data protection. As with hyperconverged storage, converged storage systems also combine network and storage resources in a physical server or appliance. However, in converged storage, the storage resources are not virtualized or pooled together. The storage is directly attached and only available to that physical box. These prebuilt resources are independent of each other and, therefore, can be separated and used for other applications. Advantages of hyperconverged storage A primary advantage of hyperconverged storage — and HCI in general — is that specialized hardware is rarely required to add capacity. More nodes can be added easily to a storage cluster for easy, cost-effective scale-out storage. The virtualization aspect accommodates the use of commercial off-the-shelf hardware and inexpensive, industry-standard x86 processors to add or remove nodes as workloads change and business needs evolve. This means HCI storage devices are a cost-effective choice for many kinds of workloads. Simplified management is another benefit. With a software-defined approach, storage is combined with compute and networking in one virtualized system. All the resources in a node are virtualized and shared across all the nodes in a cluster. This large storage pool is easy to manage and lowers the storage total cost of ownership. A single, unified dashboard enables full system control and facilitates data center management. Hyperconvergence eliminates the need for storage provisioning and streamlines many common storage tasks. This helps IT teams focus on more strategic tasks, increases IT agility and reduces operational expenses. Hyperconverged storage is well suited to workloads requiring high performance. By using high-speed storage devices, like solid-state drives and highly automated processes, hyperconverged storage solutions advance fast, responsive resource allocation and sharing for use cases like disaster recovery (DR), data analytics and virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI). Other key advantages of hyperconverged storage include the following: Appliances can be built from commodity hardware to enhance performance without substantially increasing costs. Hardware vendors offer turnkey appliances for specific use cases and demanding workloads. Scaling up as workloads evolve can occur easily by installing extra nodes. Read more about the advantages of using HCI. Disadvantages of hyperconverged storage It’s also important to acknowledge some limitations of hyperconverged storage. With hyperconverged infrastructure, admins can choose to scale out, scale up or scale through. Because base HCI nodes include both storage and compute, a user must add compute even if they only need more capacity, or vice versa. This can increase the system’s cost. Many HCI platforms now include storage- or compute-centric nodes to alleviate this problem. Vendor lock-in is another concern. While extra resources can be bolted on to the system to increase its capacity, some solutions require that these resources come from the same vendor. Some hyperconverged storage systems are unable to effectively share resources from different manufacturers in a fully elastic manner. These limitations can hinder efforts to optimize storage performance. Some base-level hyperconverged storage systems don’t include built-in multi-redundant facilities. As a result, the failure of even a single component can create a single point of failure that affects the availability and performance of the entire system. Hyperconverged storage can improve the performance of heavily resource-dependent workloads, like data analytics. However, it may not be optimal for complex workloads, like high-performance computing and AI. Some vendors offer tailored solutions for these workloads — albeit at higher costs. Many vendors, including Dell EMC, HPE and Cisco, are also developing hyperconverged storage solutions that adapt to AI workloads to deliver the necessary application performance and can also easily integrate into an organization’s existing IT framework. Other disadvantages of hyperconverged storage include the following: Conventional hyperconverged appliances consist of tightly integrated hardware, making it difficult to upgrade compute or storage independently of one another. Some vendors only support scaling up storage capacity by adding nodes and not component upgrades. Some hyperconverged systems don’t allow connectivity to external storage arrays or a storage area network (SAN). Moving away from hyperconverged storage to a different architecture may introduce operational disruptions that affect business continuity and increase costs. Use cases for hyperconverged storage Hyperconverged storage can be used as a general-purpose data storage environment, but certain use cases are ideal for it. Some of the more popular use cases are the following: Public cloud, private cloud or hybrid cloud infrastructure. Data protection through backup and DR. VDI and desktop as a service. Branch office deployments, where server resources are needed on-site rather than in the data center. Server virtualization. Server consolidation. Edge computing. Development and testing. Data analytics. Explore the many use cases for HCI. Hyperconverged storage vendors and products Hyperconverged storage systems can be delivered as appliances, providing both the hardware and the software, or as software-only products. Early players and products in the hyperconverged storage market included Nutanix Virtual Computing Platform and SimpliVity OmniCube. In 2025, the following are the key players in the hyperconverged storage space: The Dell EMC VxRail hyperconverged platform is powered by 4th Generation Intel Xeon scalable processors and supports VMware vSAN Express Storage Architecture. According to Dell, VxRail can boost even the most demanding workloads across core, edge and cloud. Next-gen VxRail automates full-stack lifecycle management and provides a consistent operational model across the infrastructure landscape for easy storage management. HPE acquired hyperconverged pioneer SimpliVity in January 2017. The SimpliVity platform delivers self-managing, self-optimizing and self-healing HCI and includes advanced features, like machine learning, predictive analytics, built-in data protection and policy-based automation. Cisco Compute Hyperconverged with Nutanix provides advanced cloud operating models and enhanced support and resiliency capabilities to simplify infrastructure delivery at any scale. These include organisations involved in supplying defence, IT services and logistics support. The security bodies of 10 NATO countries and Australia said Russian spies had used a combination of hacking techniques to gain access to networks. Some of the targets were internet-connected cameras at Ukrainian borders which monitored aid shipments going into the country. The report also says a rough estimate of 10,000 cameras were accessed near “military installations, and rail stations, to track the movement of materials into Ukraine. It adds the “actors also used legitimate municipal services, such as traffic cams.” The Russian military unit blamed for the espionage is called GRU Unit 26165 but goes by a number of informal names, including Fancy Bear. The notorious hacking team is known to have previously leaked World Anti-Doping Agency data, and played a key role in the 2016 cyber-attack on the US’s Democratic National Committee, according to security experts. “This malicious campaign by Russia’s military intelligence service presents a serious risk to targeted organisations, including those involved in the delivery of assistance to Ukraine,” Paul Chichester, NCSC Director of Operations, said in a statement. “We strongly encourage organisations to familiarise themselves with the threat and mitigation advice included in the advisory to help defend their networks,” he added. 21. Why Etihad Airways thinks it can weather the storm of Boeing delays Why Etihad Airways thinks it can weather the storm of Boeing delays ABU DHABI, United Arab Emirates — Abu Dhabi’s Etihad Airways says it can navigate the turbulence surrounding Boeing ‘s delivery delays, even as it doubles down on a major wide-body order and a multibillion-dollar fleet overhaul. Speaking on CNBC’s “Access Middle East” on Wednesday, Etihad CEO Antonoaldo Neves said the airline is taking a more “diligent” approach to fleet planning, allowing it to absorb potential setbacks in aircraft delivery schedules. “Boeing is improving and ramping up,” Neves said. “We feel confident, and I think Boeing is getting back on track.” His comments come after the airline announced a $14.5 billion deal with Boeing and GE Aerospace for 28 wide-body aircraft, including Boeing 787’s and 777X’s, during President Donald Trump’s recent visit to Abu Dhabi. The agreement is part of more than $200 billion in commercial deals revealed last week between the United States and the United Arab Emirates. “I think we’re going to see very good news from Boeing in the next six months to one year,” Neves said. “We don’t take the 737 from Boeing, we take [the] 787 and on the 787 schedule.” The Boeing 787 Dreamliner is a mid-sized, wide-body twin-engine aircraft. The CEO acknowledged “challenges in other programs” that the airline ordered, like the wide-body twin engine 777x, which is still awaiting certification. Boeing expects the aircraft to obtain certification and begin deliveries in 2026. But Etihad’s 777x “is going to arrive only after 2030,” Neves told CNBC, “so we intentionally ordered the plane a little bit later so that this phase of certification would go away.” Boeing’s stock price has climbed 17% in the year to date, trading at $207.67 per share at market close on Tuesday. Analysts at Bernstein reiterated their Outperform rating for the American aerospace giant this week, upping their price target from a previous $218 to $249 per share. The Etihad order expands the airline’s long-haul capabilities, but also exposes the mid-sized Gulf carrier to delivery risks, as Boeing continues to confront regulatory and supply chain challenges. Delays across Boeing’s production lines, particularly for the 737 MAX and 787 programs, have disrupted fleet plans at other global carriers. “We add as we go,” Neves said. “As far as our planes are concerned, we are in good shape because the 787 is coming out of the factory on time now.” But Boeing is now under intense pressure to deliver after Qatar Airways — a key Etihad rival — stunned the industry with a record breaking order for 210 jets during President Trump’s visit. Last year, Etihad announced a $7 billion dollar five-year plan to retrofit and upgrade its current aircraft, including a refresh of cabin interiors and upgraded service offerings, to compensate for further aircraft delivery delays. Earnings Growth Etihad on Wednesday also reported a 30% increase in profit after tax to a record $186.5 million in its first quarter, driven by what it said was strong demand and improved efficiencies. Total revenue rose 15%, supported by growth in both passenger and cargo business. “The environment is helping a lot,” Neves said. “A lot of our focus on efficiency is paying back, so the airline is improving and expanding its margins.” First-quarter passenger revenue also climbed 16% to $1.5 billion, driven by increased capacity, an ongoing network expansion and more frequent flights. “We will never take decisions on short term changes,” Neves said when asked about the impact of U.S. tariffs on global travel demand. “We don’t see any impact whatsoever, and we’re really excited about the forward curves,” he added. Emirates Airline President Tim Clark recently told CNBC that the aviation industry was in “uncharted territory,” as U.S. tariffs and trade disputes weigh on global growth and threaten to drive up costs for airlines worldwide. IPO Talk Etihad has also been working on restructuring its operations and finances, focusing instead on profitability and agility. as it prepares for a potential initial public offering. The airline, which is owned by Abu Dhabi sovereign wealth fund ADQ, has still not confirmed a timeframe for its potential listing. “IPO timing is a very complicated question, because it not only takes into consideration margin expansion, but also what are the shareholders specific needs — and that’s for ADQ to say,” Neves said. 22. Wall Street slips amid focus on Trump’s tax bill Wall Street slips amid focus on Trump’s tax bill Wall Street’s main indexes have slipped and government bond yields risen as investors closely watched a pivotal debate over US President Donald Trump’s tax-cut bill that has fanned concerns about the country’s growing debt. The gate-keeping House Rules Committee scheduled an unusual 1am ET hearing that is expected to run well into daylight hours, as Republicans try to overcome internal divisions about cuts to the Medicaid health program and tax breaks in high-cost coastal states. Non-partisan analysts say the proposed plan could add $US3 trillion to $US5 trillion ($A4.7 trillion to $A7.8 trillion) to the federal government’s $US36.2 trillion in debt. “(We’re seeing) the American exceptionalism narrative unwind, so you have a natural process of something weakening after years of concentration,” said David Russell, global head of market strategy at TradeStation. “We’re kind of pouring gasoline on the fire with tariffs and all of this budgetary uncertainty.” In early trading on Tuesday, the Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 352.28 points, or 0.83 per cent, to 42,324.96, the S&P 500 lost 31.84 points, or 0.54 per cent, to 5,908.62 and the Nasdaq Composite lost 97.35 points, or 0.51 per cent, to 19,045.36. All 11 S&P sub-sectors traded lower, with information technology and consumer discretionary amongst the worst hit. US bonds have been under pressure since the start of the week, when Moody’s downgraded the country’s sovereign credit rating. On Wednesday, yields on the 30-year note were back up to 5.01 per cent and the benchmark 10-year yield climbed 5.2 basis points to 4.53 per cent. Highly valued technology stocks weakened as rising rates tend to discount the present value of future profits. Amazon, down 1.5 per cent, led losses among top megacap and growth stocks. UnitedHealth Group dropped 5.1 per cent as a Guardian report said the healthcare conglomerate secretly paid nursing homes thousands in bonuses to help reduce hospital transfers for ailing residents. HSBC also downgraded the stock to “reduce” from “hold”. On the earnings front, retailer Target fell 6.7 per cent after slashing its annual forecast due to a pullback in discretionary spending. Wolfspeed tumbled 66.5 per cent following a report that the semiconductor supplier was preparing to file for bankruptcy within weeks. US stocks closed lower on Tuesday, with the S&P 500 snapping a six-day winning streak while the Dow logged its first decline in four sessions. Despite the losses, they have had a solid month so far. The S&P 500 has climbed more than 17 per cent higher from its April lows, when Trump’s reciprocal tariffs roiled global markets. A pause in the tariffs, a temporary US-China trade truce and tame inflation data have pushed equities higher although the S&P 500 is still about 3.0 per cent off its record highs. Brokerage Morgan Stanley upgraded its stance on US equities to “overweight,” saying the global economy was still expanding, albeit slowly, amid policy uncertainty. Declining issues outnumbered advancers by a 3.93-to-1 ratio on the NYSE and by a 2.98-to-1 ratio on the Nasdaq. The news was posted on Bluesky by Mat Piscatella, executive director and video game industry analyst at Circana (formerly NPD), which tracks US games retail data, including both physical sales and digital sales. According to Circana’s data, Oblivion: Remastered was April’s best-selling game on Xbox, best-selling game on PlayStation, fifth best-selling game on Steam and best-selling game overall across all formats. Piscatella also noted that, in the 13 days from the game going on ***** on April 21 to the end of the reporting ******* on May 3, Oblivion: Remastered managed to sell more units in the US than the original version of Oblivion did in its first 15 months combined. In terms of full game dollar sales, it also generated more money in those 13 days than the original Oblivion did in its first 14 months combined. Elsewhere in the charts, Forza Horizon 5 was the second best-selling game in the US last month, shooting up from its previous month’s ranking of 42nd. This is almost certainly because of the game’s PS5 release on April 29 (and its Premium Edition PS5 release on April 25), meaning it made it to the second place spot after less than a week of sales. In terms of sales for the total year up to May 3, The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion Remastered has become the third best-selling game so far, with Monster Hunter: Wilds still first and Assassin’s Creed: Shadows still second. “Four of the top five – and five of the top seven – best-selling games of the month on PlayStation platforms were published by Microsoft,” Piscatella pointed out. According to Circana’s player engagement tracker, Call of Duty HQ had the most monthly active users on both PlayStation and Xbox, while the PS Plus releases of RoboCop: Rogue City and The Texas Chain Saw Massacre saw them entering the PlayStation monthly active users charts at 8th and 10th respectively, up from 111th and 375th. Over four million people played The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remastered during its first week, according to Bethesda. The game managed 170,000 concurrent players on Steam during its opening week, smashing the previous record held by The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim. 24. ‘Trump Is An Ageist,’ Says Anthony Scaramucci. He Claims Saudi Prince MBS Used Trump’s Disregard For Younger People To Play Him ‘Trump Is An Ageist,’ Says Anthony Scaramucci. He Claims Saudi Prince MBS Used Trump’s Disregard For Younger People To Play Him In the latest episode of “The Rest Is Politics US” podcast, Anthony Scaramucci shared his unfiltered view of Donald Trump’s recent diplomatic push in the Middle East. According to the former White House communications director, Trump’s foreign policy tour may look like a renaissance of American engagement, but it’s also riddled with self-interest and personal blind spots. One of those blind spots? Age. Don’t Miss: “Trump is an aegist,” Scaramucci said flatly. “He respects people that are his age. He doesn’t respect people that are not his age.” He continued, “If you’re 40, talking to Trump, he actually looks at you like he doesn’t give a sh*t. If you’re 60, talking to Trump, he rolls his eyes. If [Blackstone Group (NYSE: BX) Chairman and CEO] Steve Schwarzman, age 80, calls Donald Trump, he picks up the phone.” Scaramucci said Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, also known as MBS, took advantage of that tendency. “He’s got an elderly father that’s the king. You want to be feted and treated like a king? I’m half your age, I am going to glitz you up in a way that you’re going to leave here very, very happy.” Trump, now 78, was met with extraordinary hospitality in Saudi Arabia this week—lavender carpets, horses, fighter jet escorts. Scaramucci believes MBS’s deference wasn’t just cultural, it was calculated. “That’s exactly what he did,” Scaramucci said. Throughout the episode, host Katty Kay and Scaramucci dissected Trump’s whirlwind week of diplomacy, which included stops in Saudi Arabia, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates. Trump delivered speeches, pushed economic deals and attempted to reshape America’s foreign policy stance. And while critics often describe Trump as isolationist, Scaramucci pointed out that this approach was much more interventionist than expected. “He talked about re-engineering the way America thinks about the Middle East and trying to foment peace and prosperity,” Scaramucci said, adding that even former CIA officials praised Trump’s speech in Saudi Arabia during the U.S.-Saudi investment forum. Story Continues Still, he warned there’s another side to Trump’s diplomacy. “There’s one angel on his shoulder saying you could really be a great president if you just calm the f*** down,” he said. “Then he’s got the ****** on the other side saying, ‘Hey, I want to make $200 billion for my family before I blow out of this presidency.’” Scaramucci, who briefly worked as the White House Communications Director in the first Trump administration, said this split is what defines Trump on the world stage. “He’s our two-faced president,” he said, referencing the Batman villain. Kay noted that while Trump’s focus on economic deals might yield some success in the Gulf region, the same strategy hasn’t worked in places like Ukraine or Gaza, where cultural and existential issues override financial incentives. “In some countries the sort of mercantilist theory of foreign policy might work,” Kay said. “But [Trump’s] theory doesn’t take into account historical or cultural or ethnic forces.” Despite these flaws, Scaramucci admitted the president has unusual stamina. “For a 79-year-old, he has tremendous energy.” Yet, that energy may be going to more than just foreign policy. The episode also dove into Trump’s possible financial gains from these diplomatic ventures, including controversies around a lavish Qatari jetliner some are calling “Qatar Force One.” Scaramucci brushed it off as a distraction. “Let me shoot out the $400 million plane over here as a bauble to distract everybody while I’m working on a few billion dollars somewhere, either in the Middle East or elsewhere in the world for myself and my family,” he said. As foreign governments roll out the red carpet, Scaramucci warns that Trump’s priorities may be more about profit than policy. “This is the globalism of greed,” Kay said, quoting an unnamed economist.
