Sydney Swans star Will Hayward says new coach Dean Cox a football genius
Little tweaks from new Sydney Swans coach and “football genius” Dean Cox have been the catalyst for increased optimism last year’s grand final smashing won’t be a burden hanging around their necks when season 2025 kicks off.
Cox was handed the reins from John Longmire in the wake of the 60-point defeat to the Brisbane Lions, replays of which the players were forced to sit through and they “learned a lot from”, according to Will Hayward.

But having made it to the decider on the back of winning the minor premiership, Hayward said the players were confident enough that they were still a very good side and the subtle changes Cox had made, which many could miss, were only adding to his hopes for a return to the top in 2025.
“Not heaps has changed. History tells us that we are a pretty good side and we don’t need to charge a lot,” he said on Monday.
“But Coxy is a football genius and he’s tweaked things that people might not see, but we have seen big changes in the pre-season to little parts of our game plan and so far we’re happy with the footy we have been playing throughout the pre-season and what we’ve worked on.
“So I’m optimistic about what we can do this year.”
The Swans will start their season without superstar All-*********** Errol Gulden, who needed ankle surgery after injuring himself in last weekend’s pre-season clash with the Gold Coast, and captain Callum Mills.
As nightmare injuries go, Gulden’s was just about the main one Sydney would have hoped to avoid in the final match before the season began.
But overcoming nightmares has been a hallmark of the pre-season, including that review of the grand final that Hayward said would help the group this season.
“The fact that we sat down as a group, spoke about it, reviewed it, that’s not something we did so much with the Geelong one (in 2022),” he said.
“But we looked this one in the eyes, we learned a lot from it, and as soon as we did that, it was behind us.
“We’re all still maturing as a group. All our young guys are now really experienced players, which can only help going forward.”

It’s the sort of defeat those who played might never escape, but Hayward was adamant it was no longer a sore point.
“I’m not going to bring it up,” he said.
“But if someone asks, we’re mature enough to know we didn’t show up that day and to not make any excuses about that.”
The Swans are set to have star forward Tom Papley in the line-up for Friday’s SCG opener against the Hawks after he skipped the clash with the Suns.

Microsoft to Shut Down Skype in May Following Emergence of Microsoft Teams
Microsoft to Shut Down Skype in May Following Emergence of Microsoft Teams
Microsoft has announced that it is shutting down Skype — its legacy video-conferencing platform — starting May 5, 2025. Debuted in 2003, it was known for its Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP)-based video telephony, video-conferencing and voice calling capabilities which led to its acquisition by the Redmond-based technology company in 2011. Although Microsoft in 2023 revealed that the platform still had 36 million users, its market share has decreased over time, with Microsoft’s own Teams app offering similar core features in addition to more functionality.
Skype Shutdown
As per Microsoft, it aims to streamline its free consumer communications offerings by making Teams the “modern communications and collaboration hub.” Aside from its one-on-one calls and group calls, messaging, and file sharing features, it offers more extensive functionality over Skype, including the ability to host meetings, manage calendars, and build and join communities for free. Microsoft reports that its video conferencing platform has grown nearly fourfold in the past two years, a surge initially driven by the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020 as users sought to stay connected for work, school, and personal use.
Skype Credit, subscriptions, and other paid features will no longer be offered to users, the tech giant says. Current Skype subscription users can continue to use their Skype Credits and subscriptions until the end of their next renewal *******, while Skype Credits can be used till exhaustion. Starting May 5, Skype Dial Pad will be available to remaining paid users from the Skype web portal and within Teams.
With Skype’s planned phasing out, Microsoft says they will be able to login to the free version of Teams using their existing Skype credentials on any supported device. Chats as well as contacts will automatically be migrated to the new platform. To move from Skype to Microsoft Teams, users need to:
Download Teams on their device from the official Microsoft Teams website.
Log in with Skype credentials.
Start using Teams with all the Skype chats and contacts available from the offset.
Further, the tech giant is making sure users do not lose their connectivity during this transition ******* by allowing cross-platform calling. Microsoft Teams users will be able to call those with Skype accounts and vice versa.

Mayor Wu faces criticism for response to the deadly officer shooting
Mayor Wu faces criticism for response to the deadly officer shooting
Boston Mayor Michelle Wu is under attack on social media for her response to the deadly officer-involved shooting in the heart of the city Saturday.
“It seems like Mayor Wu has a big target on her back,” said Tom Whalen, a political historian at Boston University.
Police say an off-duty officer shot and killed a man who was trying to attack people with a knife inside a Chick-fil-A on Boylston Street.
Many took to X, calling out Mayor Wu for giving condolences to the attacker’s family after he was killed by police.
“My condolences and all of our thoughts are with the family of the individual whose life has been lost,” said Mayor Wu at a press conference Saturday following the shooting. “And I’m also thinking about all the people who’ve been impacted here today in one of the busier parts of the city.”
Whalen says Mayor Wu is in the hot seat as she prepares to testify in front of Congress this week in D.C.
“I don’t think this is normal at all and it’s as if they were all teed up just waiting for this kind of moment to take advantage of it politically,” said Whalen about Wu’s comments going viral.
The House Oversight Committee released a preview video last week, slamming the mayors who will face the committee to defend their sanctuary city policies this week. Boston Mayor Michelle Wu is featured in that video.
Whalen says the backlash Mayor Wu is receiving this weekend is only a preview of the heat she’ll face D.C. this week.
“It’s going to be a bruising affair and Mayor Wu is going to be at the top of her game politically, or have to be, in order to withstand those kinds of attacks, but it will have an impact, I think perhaps on the Boston mayoral campaign against Mr. Kraft,” said Whalen.
Mayor Wu is running for re-election this year, and she’ll be testifying before Congress on Wednesday.

SIUE will start layoffs, cuts this spring to address $10.3 million deficit
SIUE will start layoffs, cuts this spring to address $10.3 million deficit
To combat a $10.3 million deficit, Southern Illinois University Edwardsville will turn to layoffs and drop academic programs later this spring to cut costs, a university spokeswoman said Friday.
“We have made important budgetary adjustments in recent years and are committed to making additional changes to ensure that the institution’s excellence continues,” SIUE spokeswoman Nicole Franklin said in a statement. “Unlike so many higher education institutions across the nation facing enrollment and financial challenges, SIUE remains in a strong position, and is acting to ensure that we are better positioned to compete in this challenging environment, innovate, and thrive.”
The Edwardsville campus’ expected shortfall reflects increased operational expenses and stagnant or declining enrollment, Chancellor James Minor said last fall. This decision is a “proactive step to reposition for the future,” according to the university.
Along with an unspecified number of job cuts and changes to academic programs, the plan includes early retirement buyouts that will start this spring to balance the budget by 2027, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, which first reported the moves.
The financial challenges facing SIUE are not unique. St. Louis University announced last fall it would need to cut expenses by $20 million.
Universities across the country have been facing steep financial challenges with declining enrollment.
In September, the university said its fall 2024 enrollment stood at 11,893 students, a 1.26% decrease from the previous year.
“While difficult, these changes will allow SIUE to modernize operations and align our budget in service to our goals of growing enrollment, delivering excellent academic programs, supporting a community of innovative faculty, staff, and students, and serving our communities and the region,” Franklin said.

Sean Baker Wins Best Director Oscar for ‘Anora’
Sean Baker Wins Best Director Oscar for ‘Anora’
Whoever won the prize for best director tonight was going to receive their first directing Oscar, but no nominee has labored as a filmmaker more single-mindedly for a longer time than Sean Baker. He was just announced as the winner for “Anora.”
A Cinderella story that foregrounds hot topics like class, immigration and global capitalism through the story of a stripper who initially accepts money for sex, “Anora” is in many ways typical of Baker’s oeuvre. Like several of his past movies, including “Tangerine” (2015) and “The Florida Project” (2017), it blends comedy and drama, depicts sex workers sympathetically and makes copious use of nonprofessional actors.
But “Anora” signaled Baker’s mainstream recognition. Nearly a year ago, the film won the top prize, the Palme d’Or, at the Cannes Film Festival; more recently, it picked up top prizes from the directors and producers guilds. When the Oscar nominations were released earlier this year, Baker received his first nods — for picture (as one of the producers) and editing, along with directing and screenwriting — and the actress Mikey Madison, who plays the title character, also received her first nomination, for lead actress.
Baker beat out directors Jacques Audiard, for “Emilia Pérez”; Brady Corbet, for “The Brutalist”; Coralie Fargeat, for “The Substance”; and James Mangold, for “A Complete Unknown.”

Controversial Middle East documentary wins Academy Award
Controversial Middle East documentary wins Academy Award
LOS ANGELES — “No Other Land,” the story of ************ activists fighting to protect their communities from demolition by the Israeli military, won the Oscar for best documentary on Sunday.
The collaboration between Israeli and ************ filmmakers follows activist Basel Adra as he risks arrest to document the destruction of his hometown, which Israeli soldiers are tearing down to use as a military training zone, at the southern edge of the West Bank. Adra’s pleas fall on deaf ears until he befriends a Jewish Israeli journalist who helps him amplify his story.
“About two months ago, I became a father, and my hope to my daughter that she will not have to live the same life I’m living now, always fearing settlers, violence, home demolitions and forcible displacements,” said Adra.
“No Other Land” came into the night a top contender after a successful run on the film festival circuit. It did not, however, find a U.S. distributor after being picked up for distribution in 24 countries. For the Oscar, it beat out “Porcelain War,” “Sugarcane,” “****** Box Diaries” and “Soundtrack to a Coup d’État.”
The documentary was filmed over four years between 2019 and 2023, wrapping production days before ****** launched its deadly Oct. 7, 2023, attack on Israel that started the war in Gaza.
In the film, Israeli journalist Yuval Abraham embeds in a community fighting displacement, but he faces some pushback from Palestinians who point out his privileges as an Israeli citizen. Adra says he is unable to leave the West Bank and is treated like a criminal, while Abraham can come and go freely.
The film is heavily reliant on camcorder footage from Adra’s personal archive. He captures Israeli soldiers bulldozing the village school and filling water wells with cement to prevent people from rebuilding.
Residents of the small, rugged region of Masafer Yatta band together after Adra films an Israeli soldier shooting a local man who is protesting the demolition of his home. The man becomes paralyzed, and his mother struggles to take care of him while living in a cave.

‘Out of time’: ex-Test spinner’s panic after coke deal
‘Out of time’: ex-Test spinner’s panic after coke deal
Stuart MacGill told his drug dealer “I’m out of time” hours before the ex-Test spinner was kidnapped over a $660,000 drug deal that went sour, a jury has heard.
The 54-year-old faced a jury trial on Monday after pleading not guilty to knowingly participating in the supply of the prohibited drug in April 2021.
A jury heard the illicit exchange had been struck between MacGill’s brother-in-law Marino Sotiropoulos and the former cricketer’s drug dealer, who can legally only be referred to as “Person A”.
While an initial deal went off without a hitch, Person A decide to rip Mr Sotiropoulos’s associates off days later, fleeing with $660,000 worth of ********, crown prosecutor Gabrielle Steedman told Sydney’s Downing Centre District Court.
The dealer exchanged the drugs for a vacuum-sealed bag of A4 paper concealed by $50 notes, before turning off his phone and deleting the encrypted app he was using.
Threats started to come in demanding either the location of Person A or the return of the money, leading to MacGill’s kidnapping later in April, the jury heard.
“I’m out of time, mate,” MacGill allegedly messaged his dealer hours before he was abducted.
“I don’t understand why you would deliberately do this to me, I was just trying to help.”
The former Test bowler was bundled into the back of a car by several males and taken to an abandoned shed at Bringelly, in Sydney’s west, where he was assaulted, threatened and then released, the jury heard.
Six days later he went to the police and denied any involvement in the drug supply, Ms Steedman said, although he admitted introducing Person A to Mr Sotiropoulos.
The ex-cricketer was a regular user of ******** and bought the drug from Person A for years, usually in half-gram quantities for $200, Ms Steedman said.
He was a trusted buyer, allowed to rack up $1000 in drug debts and receiving expensive bottles of alcohol for his patronage, the jury heard.
In April 2021, MacGill was in a de facto relationship with Mr Sotiropoulos’s sister, Maria O’Meagher, with whom the ex-cricketer ran restaurant Aristotle’s at Neutral Bay, on Sydney’s north shore.
After complaining about the quality of ******** sold by Person A, MacGill said he could hook the dealer up with Mr Sotiropoulos, who sold “good gear”, Ms Steedman said.
Person A later brought $330,000 and Mr Sotiropoulos brought a one-kilo brick of ******** and a money counter to an arranged meeting in the underground car park at Aristotle’s, the jury heard.
MacGill has only been accused of setting up the meeting and he remained at the restaurant while the duo travelled across the city to Ashfield to complete the deal.
“You’re a man of your word,” Person A texted the ex-spin bowler afterwards.
The dealer offered MacGill a gift but eventually wiped $1000 from his drug debts, prosecutors allege.
But defence barrister Thos Hodgson denied the 54-year-old was involved in the deal “in any shape, manner or form”.
He said Macgill had not sought nor received any benefit by arranging for Mr Sotiropoulos to meet Person A.
The credibility of Person A, the key crown witness in the case, would be of central importance in the trial and jurors should be very careful when considering their evidence, Mr Hodgson said.
The trial continues.

Jon Stewart speaks out against DEI amid Trump’s purge of initiatives nationwide
Jon Stewart speaks out against DEI amid Trump’s purge of initiatives nationwide
The Daily Show host Jon Stewart argued during an episode of his podcast that Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives come down to “framing” adding his belief that messaging around such programs has been lost on the American public.
Reason editor-at-large Nick Gillespie appeared on The Weekly Show podcast alongside the comedian, who said DEI leaders are “doing what they can, not what they should.”
The Trump administration has made DEI one of its main targets, with programs being targeted across the federal government. Amid that fallout, universities and some of the biggest employers in the nation have followed suit, severing their initiatives.
For this part, Stewart says DEI efforts have been conducted in the wrong way, Mediaite noted.
“It’s all framing!!” he wrote on X as he reposted a clip from the podcast.
“Maybe this is a different way to frame kind of DEI,” said Stewart. “For me, if you reframe that argument economically, it [may] align a little bit more with how you feel.”
He went on to say that he doesn’t believe that DEI means “sitting through that hour-long seminar where everybody looks at each other and goes, I never said that about her a**.”
“I look at it as more competition,” he added. “We have supply lines in this country, entrenched poverty and groups that have been explicitly kept out of … equity through government action and all kinds of other ways. If you reanimate those supply lines, you strengthen the result.”
He urged Gillespe to not think of it as “diversity,” but as “emerging markets.”
“Suddenly you view it as an engine of economic growth,” said Stewart.
“I mean, is there a sports league that got worse after ******* were allowed to play?” asked Gillespie to laughter from Stewart.
“And in every possible way … you are walling off a huge source of powerful possibility,” he added.
Stewart went on to argue that veterans have been “walled off in many ways,” as have women and people in poor neighborhoods.
“Appalachia has been walled off forever. To me, that’s what inclusion and diversity and equity means,” he said.
Gillespie responded that the policies “weren’t reaching those people.”
“Because they’re doing what they can, not what they should,” said Stewart. “What they’re allowed to do is you can address those shriveled supply lines and reanimate them and get those … communities involved.”
“So here’s what we’re going to let you do,” he added. “We’re going to let you have an office on the eighth floor and every April, you’re going to give us a presentation for two hours that everybody hates. How about that?”

Morgan Freeman leads Oscar tribute to ‘dear friend’ Gene Hackman
Morgan Freeman leads Oscar tribute to ‘dear friend’ Gene Hackman
Actor Morgan Freeman has led tributes at the annual Academy Awards ceremony to fellow Hollywood star Gene Hackman, whose death last month is under police investigation.
“This week, our community lost a giant and I lost a dear friend,” said Freeman, who worked with Hackman in two films, including 1992’s Unforgiven, which won Hackman his second Oscar.
“Like everyone who ever shared a scene with him I learned he was a generous performer whose gifts elevated everyone’s work,” Freeman said.
Hackman, 95, and his wife Betsy Arakawa, 65, were found dead at their home in New Mexico days ago.
“He received two Oscars but more importantly he won the hearts of film-lovers all over the world,” Freeman said in his speech during Sunday night’s 97th Academy Awards ceremony in Los Angeles.
He added that Hackman had told him: “I don’t think about legacy, I just hope people remember me as someone who tried to do good work.”
“Gene, you’ll be remembered for that and so much more. Rest in peace, my friend.”
Morgan, 87, also starred alongside Hackman in 2000 film Under Suspicion.
The Oscars ceremony also featured an in memoriam segment, where clips from some of the character actor’s best films over his 60-year career were shown.
Hackman was known for such movies as The French Connection, The Conversation, Bonnie and Clyde, Mississippi Burning and Superman, but had not starred in a film since his retirement from acting in 2004.
Officials found Hackman and Ms Arakawa’s bodies on Wednesday, about 10 days after investigators believe he died.
The results of a post-mortem examination are pending, and officials say it may take weeks to determine how the couple died.
The Oscars ceremony also featured a tribute to music producer Quincy Jones, led by Whoopi Goldberg, Oprah and Queen Latifah, who sang a song in his memory.
Jones received seven Oscar nominations in in his lifetime, including in 1967 when he became the first ****** composer to be nominated for the original song category.
Jones died in November at the age of 91.

Penfield suspends BOE meetings amid threats, inappropriate messages
Penfield suspends BOE meetings amid threats, inappropriate messages
The Penfield Central School District has canceled its Board of Education meetings scheduled for March 4 and March 18 due to threatening and inappropriate messages directed at board members, according to district officials.
In a letter to district families on Friday night, the district reported receiving approximately 200 messages—via email, phone calls, traditional mail, and the district’s “Contact Us” form—since a contentious February board meeting was abruptly halted due to “disruptive and offensive conduct.”
“The language used in these messages has been discriminatory, racist, homophobic, and outright inappropriate,” the letter states. “This kind of behavior is unacceptable in any community, especially one that strives to be safe, inclusive, and welcoming for all.”
Legal review of threatening messages
According to the district, legal counsel reviewed 84 messages submitted through the school’s online contact form, as well as three voicemails. Their findings included:
27 of the 84 messages contained threatening language.
Seven emails specifically targeted the Board of Education.
Superintendent Tasha Potter received direct threats, some appearing racially motivated.
Three voicemails left at the district office were deemed particularly disturbing.
Board meetings to resume in April with enhanced security
In response, the district announced that board meetings will reconvene on April 8, 2025, with “enhanced safety protocols” in place. Additionally, student participation in meetings will be suspended for the remainder of the 2024-2025 school year due to security concerns.
Planned safety measures include:
Hiring a safety and security coordinator.
Increasing school security services.
Continued collaboration with the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, which will maintain a presence on school campuses.
Reviewing policies related to board governance and school safety.
“While these measures are necessary, they are not taken lightly,” the district stated. “The safety and well-being of our community are our top priorities, and we must work together to ensure that the district remains a place of respect, safety, and inclusivity.”
Despite the meeting cancellations, the district emphasized its commitment to community engagement and encouraged residents to share concerns via email at *****@*****.tld.
What happened at the February school board meeting?
The February board meeting became heated as community members debated the inclusion of The Rainbow Parade, a children’s book featuring a young girl attending a Pride parade with her two moms.
Parents expressed differing views, with some arguing the book was inappropriate for children and others supporting its representation of diverse families. Tensions escalated further when a man in a gorilla suit wearing a MAGA hat entered the meeting.
Superintendent Potter and Board President Emily Roberts stated that the behavior of some attendees left a student representative visibly shaken.
“They claim to protect students, but I question that claim because they left one student, whom we were able to observe, visibly shaken,” Roberts said at the time.
The meeting was shut down. In response, the district paused public comments for the March and April meetings to “restore a positive environment where respectful conversations can take place.”

Rubio says Trump would be ‘on his way to the Nobel Peace Prize’ if he were a Democrat
Rubio says Trump would be ‘on his way to the Nobel Peace Prize’ if he were a Democrat
(The Hill) — Secretary of State Marco Rubio fiercely defended President Trump’s approach to negotiating a peace deal between Ukraine and Russia on Sunday, saying the media public would be praising his efforts if he were a Democrat.
“Shouldn’t we all be happy that we have a president who’s trying to stop wars and prevent them instead of start them?” Rubio said in an interview on ABC News’s “This Week,” amid a tense exchange with George Stephanopoulos over Trump’s peace-deal efforts.
“I just don’t get it. I really don’t, other than the fact that it’s Donald J. Trump,” he continued.
“If this was a Democrat that was doing this, everyone would be saying, ‘Well, he’s on his way to the Nobel Peace Prize,’” Rubio added. “This is absurd.”
Rubio defended Trump’s approach, which, as Rubio described it, is a departure from the three years of name-calling directed at Russian President Vladimir Putin and is, instead, an effort to achieve peace.
“We are trying to end a war,” he said. “You cannot end a war unless both sides come to the table, starting with the Russians. And that, that is the point the president has made. And we have to do whatever we can to try to bring them to the table to see if it’s even possible.”
The interview comes after Trump and Vice President Vance blasted Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in an explosive Oval Office meeting on Friday, after the foreign leader challenged Trump and Vance over Putin’s history of ignoring ceasefire agreements.

Mikey Madison Wins Best Lead Actress Oscar for ‘Anora’
Mikey Madison Wins Best Lead Actress Oscar for ‘Anora’
Mikey Madison, who played a feisty and tenacious sex worker in the movie “Anora,” won the Oscar for best lead actress.
It was Madison’s first Oscar nomination.
The win was something of an upset; Demi Moore, who has seen a career revival for her dynamic performance as an aging fitness star in “The Substance,” was favored to win her first Oscar for the role.
“Anora” — which went on to secure the biggest award of the night: best picture — was directed by Sean Baker and revolves around Madison’s character, known as Ani, as she has a whirlwind romance with a Russian oligarch’s son after meeting him at her strip-club gig.
The role required feats of physicality, both in performing the job of a dancer in a strip club and in fighting back when the oligarch sends his henchmen to force the couple to annul their Las Vegas marriage.
“This is a dream come true — I’m probably going to wake up tomorrow,” Madison said in her acceptance speech.
At 25, Madison is among the youngest actresses to have won the award. She is the same age that Grace Kelly was when she won for the 1954 film “The Country Girl” and that Hilary Swank was when she won for the 1999 film “Boys Don’t Cry.”
Madison had her breakout role as a teenager in the series “Better Things” before catching Baker’s eye as a Manson family member in Quentin Tarantino’s “Once Upon a Time … in Hollywood,” and then the 2022 slasher film “Scream.”
Ahead of playing the lead in “Anora,” Madison lived in the Brighton Beach neighborhood of Brooklyn — where much of the movie is set — to practice her accent and visit the kind of clubs that are depicted in the film. She also began to learn Russian — though her delivery did not need to be perfect for the movie — and took pole-dancing lessons. The role involved significant nudity and a number of intimate scenes, something Madison said was never daunting to her: “I was always comfortable, and I also think because Ani was too,” she told The Times.
Her performance drew rave reviews. In The Times, the film critic Alissa Wilkinson called Madison “mesmerizing,” writing that the role required her “to go for broke, with elements of slapstick, romance, comedy and tragedy, along with dancing in skimpy or nonexistent clothing and throwing a couple of powerful punches.”
Other nominees in the category included Cynthia Erivo, who starred as Elphaba in the movie-musical “Wicked”; Karla Sofía Gascón, the first openly transgender actress to be nominated for an Academy Award, for her role in “Emilia Pérez”; and Fernanda Torres, a standout in “I’m Still Here,” a drama about a family torn apart by a Brazilian military junta.

Chemical reaction at Chick-fil-A sends three people to hospital, SC officials say
Chemical reaction at Chick-fil-A sends three people to hospital, SC officials say
A Chick-fil-A in South Carolina was closed Saturday after people inside the fast food restaurant said they felt sick, according to the Columbia Fire Department.
Three people were hospitalized, authorities said.
Members of the fire department, including the hazmat team, responded to the Chick-fil-A on Garners Ferry Road late Saturday morning, the fire department said in a social media post.
Two chemical products used for cleaning mixed after being poured down a drain at the restaurant that was backed up, according to the post. This created an odor that made several people inside the building feel unwell, the fire department said.
Members of the Columbia Fire Department respond to a Chick-fil-A where the restaurant was evacuated.
The restaurant, near a Walmart Supercenter and Exit 9 on Interstate 77, was evacuated while firefighters worked to remedy the issue and ventilate the building, according to the post.
There were 13 people who were examined by Richland County EMS at the scene, and three of them were taken to an area hospital, the fire department said. Further information on their conditions was not available.
Out of an abundance of caution, Chick-fil-A officials chose to keep the restaurant closed for the rest of Saturday, according to the release. Chick-fil-A’s are traditionally closed on Sundays.
A Chick-fil-A official said the restaurant will reopen on Monday, WLTX reported.
