Big Bear bald eagles Jackie and Shadow welcome third hatchling Big Bear bald eagles Jackie and Shadow welcome third hatchling Proud bald eagle parents Jackie and Shadow welcomed a third chick to their feathered family Saturday morning, days after two hatchlings made their debut. Movement was spotted in the third egg via livestream on Thursday as the days-old hatchlings nestled in their snowy Big Bear nest. The triplet poked through its shell and was mostly visible just after 2 a.m. Saturday. It had fully emerged by 6:13 a.m., just in time for food. “All three beautiful bundles of fluff were fully visible, sitting up and ready for breakfast,” Friends of Big Bear Valley shared on its Facebook page. “They all look dry, healthy and full of energy. As they jostle around for positioning, the newest one will have plenty of food still from its yolk for a few days.” The nonprofit conservation group operates a 24-hour webcam trained on the eagles’ nest overlooking Big Bear Lake and has closely monitored the avian couple for a decade. Sandy Steers, executive director of Friends of Big Bear Valley, said that the livestream has recently seen record viewership. Thousands of people have followed the eagles’ parenting journey and were buoyed by Saturday’s good news, which follows years of disappointment. In 2023, the eagles’ eggs were eaten by ravens. Last year, severe cold weather prevented another trio of eggs from hatching. Jackie and Shadow have diligently tended to their chicks, trading off feeding and sleeping times while protecting them from the elements. However as a result the market is seeing a big price correction and a decline in sentiment. Moreover, Lee noted that we also had a bad ADP jobs report and the market is going up on bad news which he believes is good for the market. Lee explained what has happened during the six weeks essentially represents a bear market that has swept through sentiment and positioning because if we look at the hedge funds positioning it has almost gone neutral. Lee believes because of this the current and two upcoming months can be huge rally months, where the market can be rallying as much as 10% to 15%. While answering the question of whether this slowdown is a Buy, Lee noted that the 10 best days happen every year for the market. Last year the 10 best days of the year added up to 21% to the S&P 500, excluding these 10 days the market was only up 4%. He explained that markets don’t get 20% gains throughout the year, it is those 10 best days where the market rallies the most. Lee thinks that these 10 best days for 2025 are near because if the economy is near stall speed, the “Trump Put” will come back, otherwise, the market has to unwind all this austerity. Moreover, if the job market is soft, the “Fed Put” comes back into play, because the Fed does not want the stall speed to linger. Lee thinks these two things are going to be the positive catalysts in the next couple of weeks. Major studios often use their in-house game engine, but Arrowhead Game Studios had no such option while developing Helldivers 2. The studio was established in 2008 and used the Microsoft XNA to develop its first video game, Magicka. However, the studio then moved to Bitsquid, a game engine that was used by various indie Swedish studios in the early 2010s. Helldivers 2 was built using a game engine that got discontinued in 2018 (Image via Arrowhead Game Studios) Since then, Arrowhead Game Studios has developed all its video games on Bitsquid, which was renamed to Autodesk Stingray in 2014 after Autodesk’s acquisition. Helldivers 2 was also built using this game engine, but what’s special is the fact that this game engine was discontinued in 2018. In fact, even 2022’s Warhammer 40,000: Darktide was built using this engine. Helldivers 2‘s development was almost shut down Just like the first Helldivers game, Arrowhead Game Studios decided to build Helldivers 2 on Autodesk Stingray. However, during the development, the game engine got discontinued, leaving the developers with no support. In a past post on X, Johan Pilestedt, the Chief Creative Officer of Arrowhead, revealed that the developers worked hard despite the game engine’s shutdown. This is true. Fatshark is another Swedish video game developer that is keeping Autodesk Stingray alive even today. The studio has developed games like Warhammer 40,000: Darktide and Warhammer: Vermintide 2 on this discontinued game engine. To that point, it is likely that the lowest amount of dollars possible were spent porting this and optimizing it. These greedy corpo’s aren’t even offering a physical release so they can control the price and it keeps costs down too. If this runs flawlessly on PS5 and Pro and takes advantage of Dualsense I’ll be shocked—but also still not paying full price for a release so old and definitely not preordering. All M$ releases come in hot and buggy day one on their own console. I do recognize it is possible this will be a great port—it is M$’s only shot at a first impression for a Sony port. Do they care? It will be hilarious and SO M$ if they do F it up, get your popcorn ready, this should be an easy slam dunk for them but all M$ does it blow the layup. Still, I’ll be voting with my wallet and likely playing this around the holidays when it’s fully patched and half price. In previous generations and with earlier iterations of the 16-pin connector, there was often a nagging doubt about ‘user error, ‘ but we seem to be fully past that notion now. It stunned players with its depth, visual splendour, and intense realism, and with a dense roadmap ahead, the game has plenty of life left in its medieval lungs. Since Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 hit the market, one of the game’s most prolific actors, Luke ‘LordHansCapon’ Dale, has positively exploded. He has become a superstar streamer in a matter of weeks, pulling in and retaining an audience and securing solid accolades in no time at all.
