  1. Fortnite CEO Meeting With Trump And Other Major Executives In Saudi Arabia Today Fortnite CEO Meeting With Trump And Other Major Executives In Saudi Arabia Today Epic Games founder and CEO Tim Sweeney apparently attended a high-profile lunch today, May 13, in Saudi Arabia with US President Donald Trump and other world and business leaders from across the globe. This is according to a list of attendees supplied by the White House and shared by reporter Kaitlan Collins. Some of the other attendees include Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk, BlackRock CEO Larry Fink, Amazon CEO Andy Jassy, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman, and Halliburton CEO Jeff Miller, just to name a few. Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman was said to have attended the lunch as well. The New York Times reported that the high-profile executives might have been there to make business deals or lobby Trump and his own officials on tariffs and trade policies in general. Sweeney was the only video game executive on the list of attendees, though. Saudi Arabi’s Public Investment Fund has invested tens of billions into the gaming market in recent years, which has prompted some concern from people dismayed by the nation’s human rights history. GameSpot has reached out to Epic Games in an attempt to get more details on Sweeney’s reported involvement in this lunch. For its part, ******** internet behemoth Tencent is a ********* investor in the company. In 2024, two directors at Epic who had been appointed by Tencent resigned from the Epic board following a US government investigation. Sweeney’s Epic Games recently scored a key victory in its fight against Apple, but Fortnite hasn’t yet returned to the App Store. As of May 13, Apple is still reviewing Fortnite for release. The Sandisk WD_BLACK SN8100 NVMe SSD promises speeds of up to 14,900MB/s and capacities of up to 8TB for gaming, content creation, and, of course, AI. The company says the PCIe Gen 5.0 SSD is built for hardcore gamers. Not only is it rapid, but Sandisk says the Gen 5.0 model is 100% more power efficient than its PCIe Gen 4.0 SSD. The new SN8100 also features Sandisk BiCS8 TLC 3D CBA NAND technology, which brings a lower profile and should improve thermal performance. You may like The spec listed sequential speeds for read and write are 14,900MB/s and 14,000MB/s, respectively, which would give our current best SSD for speed, the Crucial T705, a run for its money. Sandisk also promises 2,300,000 IOPS of random performance on the 2TB and 4TB models, all while averaging just 7W of power draw. 3. Trade court hears legal challenge Trade court hears legal challenge U.S. President Donald Trump holds up a chart while speaking during a “Make America Wealthy Again” trade announcement on April 2, 2025 in Washington, DC. Chip Somodevilla | Getty Images News | Getty Images A little-known federal court is set to hear arguments Tuesday in a case challenging President Donald Trump’s tariffs, putting a key plank of his economic agenda under the legal microscope for the first time. A panel of three judges at the U.S. Court of International Trade will consider whether Trump exceeded his power when he enacted steep tariffs on more than 180 countries and territories last month. If they side with the plaintiffs, the judges could sharply rein in Trump’s ability to unilaterally impose import taxes, one of his preferred methods of flexing executive power. Audio of the arguments in the Manhattan courtroom will be livestreamed starting at 11 a.m. ET. The lawsuit was filed in mid-April by five domestic businesses that say they rely on imported goods not reasonably available to them in the U.S. Their legal complaint argues that the International Emergency Economic Powers Act — the 1977 law Trump invoked in early April to impose his worldwide “reciprocal” tariffs — does not actually give the president the power to issue those sweeping duties. The law gives the president a range of economic powers in a national emergency, including to regulate or ban imports, though it does not explicitly mention tariffs, according to the Congressional Research Service. The “national emergency” Trump declared to justify his use of that law, known as IEEPA, is “a figment of his own imagination,” the plaintiffs argue. “Trade deficits, which have persisted for decades without causing economic harm, are not an emergency,” their complaint says. The plaintiffs want the court to block Trump’s April 2 executive order imposing the tariffs. They also seek damages, including “the amount of any tariffs collected by Defendants pursuant to the challenged orders.” The Department of Justice argues that IEEPA “clearly” authorizes the president to impose tariffs. “Through IEEPA, Congress lawfully delegated to the President authority to regulate importation through the imposition of tariffs under specified circumstances,” lawyers for the DOJ write in an opposition brief. Read more CNBC politics coverage The Liberty Justice Center, the libertarian nonprofit representing the plaintiffs, notes in the suit that the U.S. Constitution gives Congress, not the president, the power to levy and collect taxes. Congress, over the years, has enacted laws giving the president some tariff powers. But the lawsuit wants the court to declare that, “if Congress has granted the President unilateral authority to impose global tariffs of any amount at his whim, it is an unconstitutional delegation of legislative power.” A protectionist with a special interest in cutting deals, Trump has long praised tariffs as a key tool for negotiating with other countries and collecting federal revenue. But he has at least temporarily walked back many of his tariffs amid highly volatile markets and increasing concerns from business owners and consumers. A week after announcing the reciprocal tariffs, he cut the rates down to a blanket 10% for 90 days for most countries except China. On Monday, the U.S. and China agreed to their own 90-day tariff pause while trade negotiations continue. This is developing news. Please check back for updates. 4. Zambia warns envoys after US ambassador reveals ‘systematic’ theft of medical aid Zambia warns envoys after US ambassador reveals ‘systematic’ theft of medical aid Zambia’s foreign minister has warned diplomats against interfering in the country’s affairs, days after the US ambassador raised concerns about the “systematic theft” of drugs donated to the southern African state. Mulambo Haimbe said there was an “increasing tendency” by envoys to ignore diplomatic channels, and this could undermine the “spirit of mutual respect”. He did not name anyone, but his comments were seen as being directed at the US ambassador to Lusaka, Michael Gonzales. Last week, Gonzales called a press conference to announce that the US was cutting $50m (£37m) of health aid to Zambia because of the theft of life-saving medications that the US had provided for patients. He added that he had decided to go public after holding more than 30 fruitless meetings with senior Zambian officials. In his response, Haimbe said that addressing the government through the media amounted to interference and was in breach of diplomatic conventions. “We remain open to addressing any matters of concern through appropriate diplomatic channels,” the minister added. Last week, the US embassy said it had presented its findings of the alleged corruption to Zambian officials in April last year, and had offered help to stop further theft and to bring the culprits to justice. However, no action was taken by the Zambian authorities, it added. On Monday, Zambia’s Home Affairs Minister Jacob Mwiimbu said that a forensic audit on the alleged theft had been completed and handed over to security agencies for further action. About 75 people have been arrested in a countrywide crackdown that saw more than 400 health facilities raided over the alleged scam, he said. “There will be no sacred cows in this pursuit,” Mwiimbu added. Gonzales said that an inspection carried out by US officials at more than 2,000 pharmacies last year had found that most were selling drugs and medical supplies donated by the US. Zambia’s Health Minister Elijah Muchima earlier said the problem of theft predated the current government, which took office in 2021. Muchima also said several Zambian officials had been sacked following the thefts identified by the US, and that “an advanced digital stock tracking system” had been set up to monitor the supply of medicines. The cut in US assistance, expected to take effect next year, would affect drugs to treat malaria, **** and TB. But the health minister has reassured Zambians that there were sufficient stocks of all drugs so there was “no immediate risk of shortages”. Gonzales said the recent US measure was separate to the foreign aid freeze announced by President Donald Trump in January. The freeze has affected health programmes across Africa, including shipments of critical medical supplies, among them **** drugs. In March, Zambia’s President Hakainde Hichilema said Trump had “slapped us on both cheeks”, saying it was time for his country to strengthen its treasury to procure its own medicines. The US accounts for about a third of public health spending in Zambia, according to the US embassy. 7. Live Updates: Cassie Plans to Testify at Sean Combs’s Sex-Trafficking Trial Live Updates: Cassie Plans to Testify at Sean Combs’s Sex-Trafficking Trial The cross-examination of a man who had a voyeuristic ******* arrangement with Sean Combs and his former girlfriend, Casandra Ventura, will continue on Tuesday after he testified about witnessing episodes of domestic abuse by Mr. Combs. On Monday, the first day of the music mogul’s racketeering and sex trafficking trial, the witness, Daniel Phillip, testified that over a decade ago, he would repeatedly meet the couple at high-end New York hotels and have sex with Ms. Ventura while Mr. Combs watched in a corner of the room and masturbated. Mr. Phillip said he received between about $700 and $6,000 for each ******* encounter, though he was not paid every time. Mr. Combs has been charged with sex-trafficking Ms. Ventura, a singer named Cassie with whom he was in a relationship for more than a decade. Any coercion or violence associated with the couple’s ******* relationship could be critical evidence in the government’s case. While on the stand in Federal District Court in Manhattan on Monday, Phillip, 41, testified that he first met the couple around 2012 or 2013. He was managing a revue show with male strippers, and his boss asked him to take a shift as a dancer for a bachelorette party at Gramercy Park Hotel in Manhattan. When he arrived, there was no bachelorette party. Ms. Ventura answered the door wearing a red wig and sunglasses, he said. “She basically said it was her birthday and that her husband wanted to do something special for her, and so she asked me if I would mind rubbing baby oil on her and giving her a massage,” Mr. Phillip testified. Mr. Phillip said that he ended up having sex with Ms. Ventura while Mr. Combs watched, wearing a bandanna over his face and a baseball cap. That arrangement was repeated several more times, he said. The meetings involved Mr. Combs directing them about how to have sex, and a couple of times he recorded on a cellphone or camcorder. The encounters could last as long as 10 hours, though Mr. Phillip testified that he often spent much of the time alone waiting for them. There were two instances in which Mr. Phillip recalled witnessing or hearing Mr. Combs abusing Ms. Ventura. The first time, Mr. Combs called out from another room for Ms. Ventura to come to him, but she did not go immediately. Then, Mr. Phillip testified, Mr. Combs emerged and a liquor bottle flew past Ms. Ventura and hit the wall. “He grabbed her by her hair, and started dragging her by her hair into her bedroom,” Mr. Phillip recalled. Ms. Ventura was yelling “I’m sorry,” he recalled, and Mr. Combs said something to the effect of: “‘******, when I tell you to come here, you come now, not later.’” “Cassie was visibly very upset, did not look like she wanted to continue doing anything,” Mr. Phillip testified. “But Mr. Combs asked, ‘Are y’all ready to continue now?’” The second time he was present for violence, the trio was in a hotel suite in Manhattan. Mr. Phillip said he heard Ms. Ventura yelling “I’m sorry” from another room. He said it sounded like she was being “slapped.” “Cassie came running into the living room and she literally jumped into my lap and she was shaking,” he testified, “literally, like her whole entire body was shaking.” Asked by the prosecution why he did not go to the police, Mr. Phillip said he had felt threatened after Mr. Combs had taken a picture of his driver’s license. In the defense’s opening statement on Monday, one of Mr. Combs’s lawyers, Teny Geragos, acknowledged that Mr. Combs was responsible for domestic violence and assault, but she argued that it did not make him guilty of racketeering or sex trafficking. She said the sex at the center of the case was all between consenting adults. 8. I test robot vacuums for a living, and this new bot has the best mopping system I’ve seen I test robot vacuums for a living, and this new bot has the best mopping system I’ve seen Ecovacs has unveiled the new Deebot X9 Pro Omni robot vacuum It features self-cleaning Ozmo roller mop and lifting brush rolls It also introduces an innovative ‘Blast’ suction system Ecovacs’ new Deebot X9 Pro Omni is a hybrid robot vacuum and mop that looks like it could solve my hard-floor cleaning woes for good – I regularly test robovacs in my role as Homes Editor at TechRadar, and I’ve yet to find one that does a good job of scrubbing my hard floors. A big issue with traditional robovac mopping systems is that because the mops are only cleaned at the end of the job (either by the dock or by hand) they tend to spread spillages around the floor rather than clearing them away. Ecovacs’ answer is the Ozmo roller mop. Most of today’s best robot vacuums have either a fixed, D-shaped mop pad or two spinning discs, but the newest Deebot robovacs use a mop-wrapped roller. You may like The roller applies pressure as it rotates, and is able to extend out to the side to clean close to the edges of rooms. The really ingenious part is that there’s a scraper that constantly siphons off the dirty water and any debris as the roller rotates, and the roller is then fed with clean water ready to continue mopping. (Image credit: Ecovacs) It’s a relatively simple idea – inspired by today’s best wet and dry vacuums – but it could make a massive difference to how effectively this robot vacuum can deal with spillages. The system was introduced in the Deebot X8 Pro Omni, which was launched at the start of 2025, and appears in the newly unveiled Deebot X9 Pro Omni and another new sister model, the T80 Omni. While the idea of roller mops is still very new, Ecovacs isn’t the only brand to explore this design – it also appears in the Eureka J20 and Narwal Flow. Where the X9 Pro Omni takes things a step further is that it combines the Ozmo mop with a brush roll that can lift up, solving another of my bug-bears with hybrid robovacs. Having the brush roll down while the bot mops means the bristles quickly get damp and gunked up – dust and grime plus water is not a pleasant combination. Here, the roller is tucked up and out of the way, meaning I won’t need to worry about mop mess finding its way onto my carpets next time I set the bot on a vacuuming run. Sign up for breaking news, reviews, opinion, top tech deals, and more. 3, 2, 1, blast off Another interesting addition with the X9 Pro Omni is a new ‘BLAST’ (‘Boosted Large-Airflow Suction Technology’) system, designed to offer better suction with less outright power. “With the BLAST system, we didn’t just boost suction – we redesigned the entire airflow from the ground up,” Michelle Jones, US associate brand marketing director at Ecovacs told TechRadar. “Most robot vacuums rely on increasing motor wattage alone to improve suction, which can create more noise and drain battery life. BLAST takes a smarter, more efficient approach – starting with our new SuperBoost battery, continuing through a larger air inlet, optimized air ducts, and newly engineered fan blades. This system moves more air with less resistance, delivering consistently strong suction with less noise.” She added that BLAST could represent “a major step forward in both performance and everyday usability – especially for homes with pets, rugs, or heavy foot traffic.” The proof will be in the testing, and we’ll report back once we’ve had a chance to review this model properly. (Image credit: Ecovacs) The Deebot X9 Pro Omni is available to buy now, at a list price of $1,599 but with an early bird deal that takes it down to $1,299.99. You can purchase it directly from Ecovacs or pick one up via Amazon. Ecovacs hasn’t confirmed if or when Deebot X9 Pro Omni will be available outside the US. It has been launched alongside another new robot vacuum – the T80 Omni, which still has the Ozmo roller mop, but doesn’t feature lifting brushroll or the new Blast suction system. That model is a little cheaper (although still firmly in the premium price bracket) at $1,199.99 down to $1,079.99 at Ecovacs or Amazon. 9. Inflation eases as annual rate slows to 2.3% in April Inflation eases as annual rate slows to 2.3% in April 00:00 Speaker A Some breaking news crossing the wire here. Taking a look at the consumer price index coming in just a touch below expectations for the month of April here, coming in month-over-month at 0.2%, slightly below the survey number of 0.3%. Year-over-year also coming in just a touch soft, coming in at 2.3% versus the survey data expectation of 2.4%. Interesting to note here that year-over-year increase is the smallest since February of 2021. Taking a look at some of what’s moving this under the hood. The index for shelter rising 3/10 of a percent in April, accounting for more than half of the all items monthly increase here. Taking a look at CPI ex food and energy year-over-year coming in bang inline at 2.8%, that aligns with the survey number of 2.8% as well. Interesting to see some of the decliners across the board here. Taking a look at eggs really falling off, deflation there of around 12%. Overall, this print coming in slightly better than expected, particularly of note given the fact that this is coming in off the back of those tariff negotiations. A question as to whether or not those negotiations are going to impact the data like this going forward here. That super core number month-over-month here again coming in at two tenths of a percent, year over year coming in at 2.743% just a tick below the prior of 2.864%. Taking a look at the market action here, it does appear like we’re not having too big of a reaction at the moment, but we are going to continue to monitor all of those moves for you going forward throughout your day. Again, that inflation data coming in just a touch better than anticipated. Source link #Inflation #eases #annual #rate #slows #April Pelican News View the full article at [Hidden Content]
  10. Oblivion Remastered Messes Up A Good Joke Oblivion Remastered Messes Up A Good Joke Remastering a game the size of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion is no small task, so it’s probably not surprising that some small details get lost in the process, but players have spotted one bungled texture that ruins an entire running joke. As spotted on the Oblivion subreddit, via PC Gamer, the sign for Lelles’ Quality Merchandise in Anvil no longer sports its signature hasty spelling correction. In the original game, the sign misspells the shop’s name as “Lelles’ Quality Mercandise,” and has the missing “h” haphazardly balancing above its spot in the word. In the remaster? The added “h” is nowhere to be seen. While the error is incredibly minor in the scheme of things, the small detail is a part of store owner Norbert Lelles’ character, with his lack of smarts being pointed out by other NPCs, and only becoming more obvious in a quest where the player-character is asked to protect his store from robbers. The sign and its hasty correction are even referenced in various NPC dialogues around Anvil. The Oblivion remaster was contracted out to Virtuos, rather than handled in-house at Bethesda, and for the most part the company stayed surprisingly true to the original game–charming jank and all. Other Easter eggs have been spotted intact, while other aspects of the game have been changed from the original, though often for the better. Bethesda has reached out to the community for help in improving Oblivion Remastered post-release, and fans certainly haven’t been shy with their suggestions for the re-release–though the game is still yet to receive any post-release patches. 11. AOC Q27G4ZD QD-OLED 240 Hz gaming monitor review: Fast, colorful, and reasonably priced AOC Q27G4ZD QD-OLED 240 Hz gaming monitor review: Fast, colorful, and reasonably priced Why you can trust Tom’s Hardware Our expert reviewers spend hours testing and comparing products and services so you can choose the best for you. Find out more about how we test. In many OLED gaming monitor reviews, I’ve spoken about their consistent performance and image quality. It’s hard to find a bad one; nearly all deliver a premium game experience with a gorgeous, colorful picture. Unfortunately, they are also consistently expensive. In the 27-inch QHD 240 Hz category, you can expect to pay at least $550 to 600, with the best OLED gaming monitors approaching $800. I’m not here to tell you that AOC has smashed price barriers, but its newest QD-OLED, the Q27G4ZD, is a bit less damaging to one’s wallet, selling for $469 at this writing. You won’t find many OLED prices that start with a four, so that is progress. Let’s take a look. AOC Q27G4ZD Specs Swipe to scroll horizontally Panel Type / Backlight Quantum Dot Organic Light Emitting Diode (QD-OLED) Screen Size / Aspect Ratio 27 inches / 16:9 Max Resolution and Refresh Rate 2560×1440 @ 240 Hz Row 3 – Cell 0 FreeSync and G-Sync Compatible Native Color Depth and Gamut 10-bit / DCI-P3+ Response Time (GTG) 0.03ms Brightness 250 nits Contrast Unmeasurable Speakers None Video Inputs 1x DisplayPort 1.4 Row 10 – Cell 0 2x HDMI 2.0 Audio 3.5mm headphone output USB 3.2 1x up, 4x down Power Consumption 31.4w, brightness @ 200 nits Panel Dimensions WxHxD w/base 24 x 16.1-21.2 x 9.5 inches (609 x 408-538 x 240mm) Panel Thickness 2.17 inches (55mm) Bezel Width Top: 0.3 inch (8mm) Row 17 – Cell 0 Sides: 0.4 inch (11mm) Row 18 – Cell 0 Bottom: 0.7 inch (18mm) Weight 14.5 pounds (6.6kg) Warranty 3 years Today’s best AOC Q27G4ZD deals AOC Q27G4ZD at Amazon for $469.99 Despite only being slightly less expensive than its competitors, the Q27G4ZD is a value bomb. The panel is QHD 2560×1440 resolution running at a native (not overclocked) 240 Hz. It also has Quantum Dot technology, and my tests show that it covers over 108% of the DCI-P3 color gamut thanks to some bonus red and green. It is colorful, to say the least. It also includes G-Sync and FreeSync, with seamless operation observed in my tests. It also has USB ports, something rarely seen on budget displays. You may like So, what are the sacrifices? Nothing is missing here unless LED lighting and internal speakers are essential to you. The Q27G4ZD is full featured with DisplayPort 1.4, HDMI 2.0, a headphone jack, a solid and adjustable stand, premium build quality and styling; gaming aids like reticles, sniper mode, timers, and frame counters. One thing I did not find here was variable brightness. Is that a big deal? That depends on your environment and expectations. When an OLED has variable brightness, output levels change based on content. This makes for bright highlights, but ****** levels do not change. Since it’s an OLED, contrast is the same whether you have variable brightness or not. For SDR content, it doesn’t matter. But when you want the most from HDR content, variable brightness lends some extra pop. The Q27G4ZD renders the same brightness peak regardless of signal format or content type. But it still looks amazing since its ****** levels are infinite and color is highly saturated. And like all OLEDs, its gaming feel is at the next level. 240 Hz is well above the threshold needed for blur-free motion. And QHD resolution presents a lighter load for video cards, so you’ll have less trouble maintaining 240fps in your favorite games. There is no ****** frame insertion or anti-flicker feature, but in my time with the Q27G4ZD, I saw no need for either option. On paper, the price/performance ratio here is exceptionally high. The Q27G4ZD doesn’t represent a massive price drop, but its cost of $469 at this writing is around $100 less than its closest competitors. You can buy a nice gaming mouse with that. Assembly and Accessories The Q27G4ZD comes in a clamshell box that opens to reveal its contents packed securely in molded pulp rather than crumbly foam. Up first is a nice cable bundle with HDMI, DisplayPort, USB and IEC for the internal power supply. There’s a small base, then you’ll find the upright and panel underneath. Everything unites without tools. The panel snaps on, or you can use the 100mm VESA mount for an aftermarket arm or bracket with the included fasteners. Product 360 Image 1 of 5 (Image credit: AOC) (Image credit: AOC) (Image credit: AOC) (Image credit: AOC) (Image credit: AOC) I rarely see a new styling element on a computer monitor, but AOC has managed one with its offset cable hole. It’s a tiny thing, but it’s cool, nonetheless. I saw the same thing in my review of the CQ27G4ZH a few weeks ago. I like it because you can’t see behind it when sitting in front of the Q27G4ZD. It’s trimmed in red like the mounting point in back, which features a large red ring. The back features angular styling, and you won’t find a curve or taper anywhere. It’s a great gaming monitor look that whispers rather than screams for attention. A small “AOC Gaming” logo is the only other indicator of the Q27G4ZD’s purpose. The side view in the above photo doesn’t show the Q27G4ZD’s surprise attribute, USB ports. There are two version 3.2 ports on the right side, two more on the bottom, and an upstream port as well for full hub functionality. However, there’s no KVM in the OSD. The stand is solid and fully adjustable with 5.1 inches of height, 30 degrees swivel, 5/23 degrees tilt, and a 90-degree portrait mode. Movements are very firm with no play or wobble. This is a quality piece for sure, with a rugged build and premium fit and finish. The bottom input panel features one DisplayPort 1.4 and two HDMI 2.0 ports. You also get one upstream and two downstream USBs to complement the two on the right side of the panel. A 3.5mm jack accommodates headphones or powered speakers with volume and mute in the OSD. There are no internal speakers. OSD Features The Q27G4ZD’s OSD is loaded with features for gaming and convenience. It departs from AOC’s traditional ribbon menu and presents a more familiar tree with three columns. Signal info is always displayed up top and button functions are at the bottom. I missed having a joystick, but the four control buttons get the job done. Image 1 of 10 (Image credit: Tom’s Hardware) (Image credit: Tom’s Hardware) (Image credit: Tom’s Hardware) (Image credit: Tom’s Hardware) (Image credit: Tom’s Hardware) (Image credit: Tom’s Hardware) (Image credit: Tom’s Hardware) (Image credit: Tom’s Hardware) (Image credit: Tom’s Hardware) (Image credit: Tom’s Hardware) The Q27G4ZD has seven picture modes, which you won’t need to change if you stick with the default, Standard. It’s nearly perfect out of the box, as the included calibration data sheet, and my measurements, attest. Additional options in the Game Setting menu include Shadow Control to brighten dark areas, Adaptive-Sync toggle, Dial Point (aiming point), Sniper Scope with three magnification levels and a Frame Counter that can live in any corner of the screen. The aiming point can be of fixed color or dynamic to shift in contrast with the background. The Picture menu contains full calibration controls with five gamma presets, three color temps, and a user mode with RGB sliders. You can also select between Native, sRGB, and DCI-P3 color spaces. Native covers 108% of DCI-P3 and is the only way to keep other picture adjustments available. sRGB and DCI-P3 are very accurate, but only allow brightness changes. There’s also Eco Adjustment, which is another set of picture modes. Combined with the Gaming Mode, it can yield dozens of possibilities. Stick with Standard and Standard for best results. The Q27G4ZD includes three HDR emulation modes that can alter SDR content to look like HDR. It’s reasonably effective but does depart from industry standards for gamma. They enhance some content, but should be used with personal preference in mind rather than accuracy. When an HDR10 signal appears, you get two additional modes, Display HDR and Peak HDR. Despite their names, they both render the same peak output, around 250 nits. Peak HDR alters the luminance curve to give the picture more verve but crushes some shadow detail in the process. Display HDR tracks very well, and I’ll tell you more about it on page five. AOC takes the Q27G4ZD’s OLED panel care very seriously with eight different settings that can be used altogether, all turned off, or in any combination desired. I only use pixel orbiting for my OLED screens, which have never shown signs of burn-in. Pixel Refresh is useful when run every few days to ensure even wear of the panel’s pixel structure. AOC Q27G4ZD Calibration Settings The Q27G4ZD comes out of the box in Standard mode with no serious need for calibration. It can be enjoyed as is, though neutral tones are a tad warm. A few tweaks of the RGB sliders bring the numbers to reference level. Gamma measured a tad light, but the presets are too far apart to get it right on 2.2. I settled for 2.15, which still looks awesome. In all cases, color is spot on with a little extra red and green that makes the picture vibrant and lively. If you need sRGB or a more exact DCI-P3, those modes are provided but without calibration control. HDR color and luminance track very close to standard in the default Display HDR mode. My SDR settings are below. Swipe to scroll horizontally Picture Mode Standard Brightness 200 nits 85 Brightness 120 nits 49 Brightness 100 nits 40 Brightness 80 nits 29 Brightness 50 nits 15 (min. 18 nits) Contrast 50 Gamma 2.2 Color Temp User Red 46, Green 49, Blue 50 Gaming and Hands-on The Q27G4ZD delivers the saturated and contrasty picture you’d expect from a premium QD-OLED. Reds and greens are particularly vivid, and you can tell the difference right away when comparing them to a non-QD OLED or a wide gamut LCD. The image is super crisp, even though it’s QHD. 109ppi pixel density is plenty for a 27-inch screen and I had little trouble making out the finest details in text and graphics alike. Video processing is also on par with other OLEDs. I often talk about their consistency and that means you won’t get better motion resolution or faster response just because you spend more money. The Q27G4ZD is a little less expensive than the competition but gives nothing away regarding performance and gaming feel. QHD resolution makes high frame rates easy to achieve and I never saw anything but 240fps in the games I played. The Q27G4ZD lacks extra features like anti-flicker and ****** frame insertion, but they were not missed. Control response is perceptually free of lag, and I expect there will be no gamer who doesn’t like this monitor. Like any OLED, it’s capable of next-level gameplay. I noted that HDR content was slightly undersaturated in red. This was confirmed in my tests, which you can check out on page five. Even though the Q27G4ZD is fully capable of going beyond 100% red in the DCI-P3 color space, it doesn’t quite get there in HDR mode. It would be good for AOC to address this with a firmware update. It didn’t reduce my enjoyment, however. The picture was stunning no matter what I put on the screen, from the icy cold worlds of Doom Eternal to the lush jungles of Tomb Raider, everything was rendered beautifully. I’ve already mentioned the Q27G4ZD’s lack of a variable brightness option. This didn’t impact my use experience at all. It isn’t a super bright example of the category, but it has more than enough light output. For daily use and gaming, I didn’t need to max the brightness slider to see a vivid picture. HDR had plenty of impact but there, it would be nice to have the extra pop in highlights afforded by variable brightness. Physically, the Q27G4ZD gives nothing away to its more expensive competition. Styling is game forward but not look-at-me. The bits of red trim are just enough to make it work aesthetically. Even though it’s a budget screen, AOC didn’t skimp on the stand, it’s solid and fully adjustable. And the extra side USB ports are a nice bonus that few monitors include today. Takeaway: The Q27G4ZD represents one of the best values in the OLED monitor category. It has enough brightness, pixel density and color saturation to match image quality with the very best and, in some cases, for half the price. Gaming is a blast, and daily use is a pleasure. It truly doesn’t get much better in the 27-inch category. 14. England players at IPL: Harry Brook’s side call up five players for Windies series England players at IPL: Harry Brook’s side call up five players for Windies series From the five players included in the ODI squad, Archer and Overton play for Rajasthan Royals and Chennai Super Kings respectively, two sides that will not reach the knockout stage. That clears the path for both to return in time to play a full part in the Windies series. Buttler (Gujarat Titans), Bethell (Royal Challengers Bengaluru) and Jacks (Mumbai Indians), could all feature in the knockouts, leaving potential decisions to make. All-rounder Bethell had already opted to skip next week’s one-off Test against Zimbabwe in order to play at the IPL. If the trio wish to complete the IPL, England would then have to rule on an NOC. It may be that the ECB wish to avoid a confrontation with the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). In addition, the IPL has implemented a policy of enforcing two-year bans on any players pulling out of deals, though an exception could be made in these extreme circumstances. The ECB said: “We’re keen to support the IPL and the BCCI in getting the schedule up and running, and to facilitate players’ return should they choose to go back. “No Objection Certificates have been granted based on the original IPL dates, so we’ll need to review any potential extensions, particularly in relation to any clash with the final white-ball squad. We’ll continue to work closely with the BCCI and the IPL as the situation develops.” The one-day series against West Indies is significant as Harry Brook’s first as England’s new white-ball captain. It could also have long-term implications around England’s qualification for the 2027 World Cup. The top eight teams in the world rankings as of March 2027 will advance directly. England and the Windies are currently eighth and ninth respectively. 17. Why DraftKings Share Price Could Soar to Multi-Year Highs Why DraftKings Share Price Could Soar to Multi-Year Highs DraftKings’ (NASDAQ:) price action hit a 9-month low in early Q2 due to unfounded fears of weakening business in Q1. However, it is now in an updraft that can take it to a multi-year high by the end of 2025. The reason is that the results remain strong, the company continues to build leverage, new opportunities arise, and the balance sheet is healthy, promising shareholder value gains in F2025 and the long term. Among the opportunities is the acquisition of Jackpocket. Jackpocket negatively impacts revenue per user and margin in early F2025 due to its naturally lower ARMUP, or average revenue per monthly unique player, but provides an opportunity for margin improvement over time. That opportunity includes improving the user metrics in Jackpocket’s core player group while cross-selling DraftKings’ other opportunities to it. Add in the expected entry into Missouri and the growth potential of iGaming, and DraftKings’ future is all but assured. iGaming is live for only 11% of the U.S. population compared to nearly 50% for the sportsbook, but it is already equal to almost 50% of the sportsbook regarding revenue contribution. DraftKings Has Solid Quarter Despite Tepid Comparison to Analysts’ Forecasts DraftKings had a good quarter in Q1, growing its revenue by 19.5% to $1.41 billion. The gains are driven by engagement, new users, improved hold, and acquisitions, including Jackpocket. The only bad news is that the revenue fell short of the consensus reported by MarketBeat, but the miss is slim and offset by margin strength. DraftKings’ monthly unique players, or MUP, grew by 28%, 11% adjusted for Jackpocket, with the Sportsbook revenue up 20.1%, iGaming by 14.5%, and Other by 45.7%. The margin news is good. The company reported a less-than-expected 5% contraction in ARMUP, with unfavorable sports outcomes slightly offsetting improved hold rates and client leverage in the gaming segments. The hold rate in the core business, adjusted for acquisition, is up 7%. The net result is adjusted earnings of $0.12, as expected, compared to the slight top-line miss, sufficient to sustain the company’s financial health and growth outlook. Regarding the financial health, the balance sheet details at the end of Q1 include increased debt. Still, leverage remains low, with increased cash offsetting it, and debt running at roughly 2.1x equity and 1.1x cash. Guidance is a sticking point for this entertainment company, but as with the Q1 results, the negative impact of forecast reduction is offset by the cause and underlying operational quality. The company reduced its outlook for full-year 2025 revenue and EBITDA due to the unfavorable sports outcomes, but to levels only slightly below the analysts’ forecasts and sufficient for a 32% YOY gain. Analysts Issue Mixed Response; Indicate New Highs for DraftKings Stock The first revisions tracked by MarketBeat indicate a mixed response from analysts, with one reducing its price target and the other reiterating. However, the average of the $50 and $65 targets is $57.50, above the current consensus and recent highs. Those targets are coupled with a firming Moderate Buy rating verging on Buy and an institutional tailwind. The institutional holdings aren’t robust at less than 40% of the stock, but they are buying on balance in 2025 and will likely continue to do so as the year progresses. The price action in DKNG is bullish in mid-May. Following the Q1 release, the market confirmed the bottom of a trading range, and stochastic and trading volume indicated that the price action was moving higher. The critical resistance point is near $38.25 and likely to be tested if not broken before the month’s end. The market for DKNG could continue to build momentum in this scenario and could rise to retest the all-time high by the end of summer or early fall. 19. Texas woman’s $83M lottery prize now ‘on hold’ because she used ticket app Texas woman’s $83M lottery prize now ‘on hold’ because she used ticket app A group of international gamblers legally purchased nearly every number combination in a Texas state lottery drawing — a scheme designed to guarantee a win. It worked — and it may be why another woman is now being denied her own $83.5 million prize. “I’m being treated as the bad guy,” the anonymous winner said. The group’s $95 million win, which the New York Post described as “something out of a heist movie,” was spearheaded by London-based trader Bernard Marantelli and bankrolled by Zeljko Ranogajec, an *********** professional gambler known as “the Joker.” Don’t miss Together, they exploited a simple math trick: when the jackpot is large enough, you can make a profit by buying almost every possible ticket. According to the Wall Street Journal, the group teamed up with Lottery.com and used warehouses packed with printing terminals to produce 99.3% of those combinations in just three days. The team won a lump-sum prize of $57.8 million, but lottery officials are closing loopholes so that they may keep other winners from collecting. International scheme could cost another winner their jackpot Buying every ticket wasn’t ******** under Texas Lottery Commission (TLC) rules at the time. As the Post reports, “nothing in the Texas state lottery code says a person can’t buy every number combination.” Winners are also allowed to remain anonymous, so the group initially claimed their prize through a local company called Rook TX. But the victory didn’t stay quiet for long. When a Texas woman won an $83.5 million jackpot this past February, after buying her ticket through the Jackpocket app, she was told she couldn’t collect her winnings. State officials are now cracking down on anything that falls outside of tightly controlled, in-person lottery purchases — especially when foreign actors are involved or the ticket-buying process becomes hard to regulate. “Sometimes there are reasons to investigate things, but I don’t think mine is one of them.” the anonymous winner told Nexstar, speaking on condition of anonymity. Dawn Nettles, a longtime lottery watchdog, disagrees. “It doesn’t matter that the courier apps weren’t officially banned in Texas when she bought her ticket, because she purchased it over the internet and paid an added fee — and those things are against the law,” she told the Post. Even so, Nettles admits that others have gotten away with similar purchases in the past. She is now part of a class action lawsuit targeting the original $95 million payout to Rook TX and says that it should never have been allowed. Texas Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick has called the team’s win “the biggest theft from the people of Texas in the history of Texas,” reports the Post. Others have raised concerns that international groups are siphoning off winnings that should benefit Texas residents. “If you win $50 million in the lottery, you are probably going to buy a new car, new home, buy things for friends — all that is going to assist [the state’s] economy. But not if the money is leaving the state,” said Nettles. The TLC formally banned lottery courier services in February 2025. In a press release, the commission said it would revoke the licenses of any retailer working with such services. The new policy became effective immediately and is expected to be written into official rules this spring. At the governor’s request, the Texas Rangers have launched an investigation into both the 2023 group win and the February 2025 case. Read more: BlackRock CEO Larry Fink has an important message for the next wave of American retirees — here’s how he says you can best weather the US retirement crisis How to play the lottery legally If you’re trying your luck with the lottery, make sure you follow Texas law to avoid trouble, especially now that enforcement is tightening. Here are a few guidelines: Buy in person. Texas law prohibits the ***** of lottery tickets by mail, phone or internet. You must buy tickets from a licensed retailer within the state. Avoid courier apps. As of February 2025, services like Jackpocket are no longer permitted in Texas. Even if they’re still operating, your ticket may not be valid. Read the rules. Each state has different regulations. Before purchasing a ticket, check with your state’s lottery commission for the latest guidelines. Keep your receipt. Whether claiming a prize or disputing a decision, having proof of your purchase can help your case. With rule changes underway, lottery players should take care to avoid any missteps. That means you’ll need to play the lottery in both the letter and the spirit of the law. What to read next This article provides information only and should not be construed as advice. 20. CPI inflation April 2025: CPI inflation April 2025: Customers line up at the check out booth on April 18, 2025 at a Costco branch in Niantic, Connecticut. Robert Nickelsberg | Getty Images Inflation was slightly lower than expected in April as President Donald Trump’s tariffs just began hitting the slowing U.S. economy, according to a Labor Department report Tuesday. The consumer price index, which measures the costs for a broad range of goods and services, rose 0.2% for the month, putting the 12-month inflation rate at 2.3%, the Bureau of Labor Statistics said. The monthly reading was in line with the Dow Jones consensus estimate and a bit below the annual forecast for 2.4%. Excluding volatile food and energy prices, core CPI also increased 0.2% for the month, while the year-over-year level was 2.8%. The forecast was for 0.3% and 2.8% respectively. The monthly readings were a bit higher than in March though price increases remain well off their highs of three years ago. However, the Trump tariffs remain a wild card in the inflation picture, depending on where negotiations go between now and the summer. Shelter prices again were the main culprit in pushing up the inflation gauge. The category, which makes about one-third of the index weighting, increased 0.3% in April, accounting for more than half the overall move, according to the BLS. After posting a 2.4% slide in March, energy prices rebounded, with a 0.7% gain. Food saw a 0.1% decline. This is breaking news. Please refresh for updates. 22. Who is Peter Sullivan and why was he jailed? Who is Peter Sullivan and why was he jailed? Phil McCann BBC North West Tonight BBC Sullivan has been a Category A prisoner for 38 years Peter Sullivan spent more than 38 years in jail in what is believed to be the biggest miscarriage of justice in British history. The ******* of 21-year-old Diane Sindall in Birkenhead in 1986 sparked the biggest manhunt Merseyside had ever seen. But Sullivan, now 68, and his defence team long insisted the police had got the wrong man. The BBC’s archives from the mid 1980s and court documents help piece together what happened before Sullivan was jailed for life for a crime someone else committed. Who was Diane Sindall? Diane Sindall, 21, was due to be married when she was murdered Ms Sindall was well-known in her hometown of Seacombe in Wirral. Her family ran a well-known floristry business, and she could often be seen driving her blue van around, delivering flowers. In 1986 Ms Sindall was trying to save money to get married the following year, so worked behind the bar at the Wellington pub in Bebington, five miles south of Seacombe. She was working at the Wellington on 1 August 1986, the last night she was seen alive. What happened on the night Diane Sindall was murdered? Ms Sindall set off from the Wellington to drive home at about 23:45 BST. After her van ran out of petrol in Birkenhead she started walking along the busy and well-lit main route of Borough Road. The sequence of events that led to Ms Sindall’s death was reconstructed by the BBC’s Crimewatch a few weeks later. A taxi driver told Crimewatch that he saw a man and a woman arguing at about 00:10 on Borough Road. “The fellow put his hand out towards the girl. They appeared to know each other but they were definitely arguing”, he said. People reported hearing screams between 00:30 and 02:00 – the time when Ms Sindall is thought to have encountered the man who attacked her. Her half-naked body was found in an alleyway off Borough Road by a dog walker the next morning. She had a fractured skull, facial lacerations and bruising, mutilated breasts and lacerated genitals, according to court documents seen by the BBC. It was thought Ms Sindall had remained alive for some time after the attack, but she died from a brain haemorrhage thought to have been caused by multiple blows to the head. A pathologist who examined Ms Sindall’s body later said in court her injuries were “the very worst” he had ever seen on a body “outside of a road traffic accident”. How did police try to catch Diane Sindall’s killer?Merseyside Police Peter Sullivan was jailed in 1987 after being convicted of ******* Merseyside Police spoke to 3,000 people as part of its investigation. The attack caused shock, revulsion and anxiety, especially among women and girls. “Girls were afraid to be on the streets alone”, said former Liverpool Echo journalist John Thompson, who covered the case at the time. “Fathers, boyfriends, brothers and husbands would pick women up from work and tell them not to leave the premises until they were right outside the door,” he said. “There was real terror,” he added, because Ms Sindall’s ******* was “different – it was horrific”. “[There was] someone was on the streets of Merseyside who was a real danger to women, who needed to be caught”. The attack led to area’s first Reclaim the Night march across the River Mersey. The movement had been set up in Leeds in 1977, during Yorkshire Ripper Peter Sutcliffe’s killing spree, as response to police advise that women should stay indoors. “It was the sheer normality of it that was so scary, because any of us could have just run out of petrol and been walking along the road”, said Josephine Wood from RASA Merseyside, a charity that supports victims of ***** and ******* assault founded in the aftermath of Miss Sindall’s death. At one point, detectives were said to be considering interviewing every man in Birkenhead. But for weeks they appeared to have no leads, and no clue about how Ms Sindall had ended up in the alleyway, because nobody saw the attack take place. Why was Peter Sullivan jailed? The day after Ms Sindall’s ******* some of her clothes were found burning in a small fire on nearby Bidston Hill, and a passing couple told police they saw a man, running out of bushes, whom they recognised as “Pete”. But they failed to pick him out of an identity parade. More witnesses to the fire contacted the police after the Crimewatch reconstruction, and their descriptions of the man they saw prompted the police to go back to Sullivan. He was arrested for ******* on 23 September after he gave officers a number of “completely different” accounts of his movements. The next day, court documents show Sullivan broke down in tears under questioning and “confessed” to the *******. He withdrew the apparent confession later that day, but reinstated it soon afterwards. Sullivan had not been given access to legal advice by that point. It had been withheld on the grounds that it would have caused a “hindrance to the enquiry”. When he was given access to a solicitor on 25 September, he retracted his confessions and told police he had made them up. His trial in 1987 was told about his apparent confessions, as well as claims from dental experts that bite marks on Ms Sindall’s body could be matched to Mr Sullivan’s teeth. On the night Sullivan was jailed for life for *******, BBC North West Tonight reported how he stood silently in the dock at Liverpool Crown Court, while his mother broke down and screamed, and his sister fainted and had to be revived. After Sullivan was sentenced, Det Supt Tom Baxter told the BBC Sullivan “wasn’t an excitable person”, adding “he seemed to be a quiet sort of fellow – but what is the type of person that commit these murders?” Mr Sullivan was then condemned to be known for the rest of his life by the names he had been given by some of the tabloid newspapers – “the Beast of Birkenhead” and “the Mersey Ripper”. BBC/ Julia Quenzler Peter Sullivan appeared before the Court of Appeal via video link from HMP Wakefield in March Who did kill Diane Sindall? Ms Sindall’s killer has not been identified. An unsuccessful appeal hearing in 2019 heard various criticisms of the police investigation and the 1987 trial. Last year it was announced new forensic testing of a ****** sample from the scene had revealed a DNA profile which did not match Mr Sullivan – but officers have not been able to identify the person it does match. In February, Merseyside Police said it had reopened its investigation into Ms Sindall’s *******, and had sent letters to people identified in 1986 asking them to voluntarily submit DNA samples so they could be “eliminated” from their enquiries. Psychologist Dr Harry Wood said his assessment of Sullivan had highlighted his “limited intellectual capacity” and “suggestibility”, which he said should have led to concerns about his answers in interviews and his apparent confessions. He also said that in the present day Mr Sullivan would have been accompanied by a solicitor in his interviews and probably an “appropriate adult” who would have the task of safeguarding the interests of a vulnerable person. Expert dentist Prof Iain Pretty also criticised the claims made in the trial which linked bite marks to Mr Sullivan’s teeth. There is now renewed concern on Merseyside that a ********* has remained at large and unpunished for close to 40 years. In Birkenhead, fresh flowers and small notes are still left at a small ****** granite memorial to her close to the scene of the attack on Borough Road. It states Ms Sindall was murdered “because she was a woman”. Source link #Peter #Sullivan #jailed Pelican News View the full article at [Hidden Content]

Abalone lets you play the classic board game on your smartphone Abalone lets you play the classic board game on your smartphone Abalone translates the tabletop classic to mobile Pit your marbles against an opponents in an attempt to push them off the board Don’t get caught in an disadvantageous position Translating classic tabletop releases to mobile can be a bit hit or miss, but it’s become increasingly prevalent over the years. However, while we’ve had some iconic classics such as Uno or chess appearing in various forms, I don’t think we’ve seen much of Abalone (in fact, we only have one version on the books!) until now. Abalone may sound strange, but it’s a deceptively simple, checkers-like ruleset. You have a hexagonal board, two sides of white or ****** marbles, and the aim is to push at least six of your opponent’s marbles off the board. To do so, there are a whole host of rules about what you can move, when, and where you can push marbles off the board. It looks complex, but it’s deceptively simple to master. However, Abalone for mobile offers all the strategic depth that longtime players associate with it, while newbies can experience the surprising strategic depth for the first time. It even includes multiplayer to duke it out with friends! No, not the seafood While I’d seen Abalone before, I hadn’t known much about it until now. But it looks as if this mobile version is directed firmly at fans of the existing tabletop puzzler. There isn’t any indication that there are tutorials or other ways to ease new people in. But, at the same time, it’s clear that there is a market for Abalone fans. And considering the bevvy of online chess options out there, being able to play Abalone easily on a digital platform is sure to help raise the profile of this competitive puzzler with fans, both casual and hardcore alike. If you want to put your brain cells to the test, however, there are even more options if Abalone doesn’t take your fancy. Check out our list of the top 25 best puzzle games on iOS and Android for everything from casual arcade fun to veritable brain-busters. Everything the Singer Has Said About Her Health Everything the Singer Has Said About Her Health Singer Meghan Trainor has lost weight after making “huge lifestyle changes” She started her weight loss journey after welcoming her second child with husband Daryl Sabara Trainor has “never been more comfortable” in her body Meghan Trainor is sharing the intimate details of her weight loss journey. In March 2025, Trainor wore a ****** off-the-shoulder dress to attend Billboard’s Women in Music Awards. After fans took notice of her new appearance, Trainor addressed her significant weight loss on Instagram, attributing her transformation to “huge lifestyle changes” such as using the weight-loss drug Mounjaro and working with a dietitian. “No, I don’t look like I did 10 years ago. I’ve been on a journey to be the healthiest, strongest version of myself for my kids and for me,” the singer — who shares two kids with her husband, Daryl Sabara — said. In May, Trainor showed off her abs and recent breast augmentation surgery as she performed in a sparkly two-piece set at iHeartRadio’s 102.7 KIIS FM Wango Tango. “I have never been more comfortable in my body,” she told PEOPLE in March 2025. “I’ve been working with a therapist for a long time, trying to rewire my brain to love myself more. It’s always a work in progress, and that’s why I write all these anthemic songs of, ‘I love myself,’ because it’s constantly a thing I’m working on.” Here’s everything Meghan Trainor has said about her weight loss. She started her weight loss journey after having kids Meghan Trainor/Instagram Meghan Trainor with her sons, Barry and Riley. Trainor began losing weight after welcoming her first son, Riley, in 2021. She lost 60 pounds through diet and exercise, she told Entertainment Tonight Canada in November 2022. “I was in a really dark place, and I wanted to be in a great place for my son,” she said. “I worked [out] every day. I learned that I do like healthy food, and I learned what portions mean.” After giving birth to her second son, Barry, in 2023, Trainor resumed her weight loss journey. Trainor took Mounjaro to lose weight Rodin Eckenroth/FilmMagic Meghan Trainor in 2024. During an April 2025 episode of Trainor and Sabara’s podcast, Workin’ On It, the couple opened up about using Mounjaro, which is FDA-approved to treat type 2 diabetes. (The same medication under the brand name Zepbound is approved for weight loss, according to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.) The couple decided to take Mounjaro after talking to their doctor, emphasizing that it wasn’t a substitute for diet and exercise. “You have to put in the work as well,” Trainor said. “We stay in the gym, we work out, we eat right, and we just noticed that we were less hungry.” She lifts weights three times a week Amy Sussman/Getty Meghan Trainor in 2024. While appearing on Today in December 2024, Trainor revealed that strength training has been critical in her weight loss journey, typically lifting three times a week. “I didn’t know lifting weights would change my life so much,” Trainor said. “I was, like, dying, trying to run on the treadmill, and it made me swollen.” In January 2025, the “All About That Bass” singer told Women’s Health that her current fitness goal is to “grow my butt back.” “I lost so much weight that my booty is looking different,” Trainor explained to the outlet. “I was like, ‘Wait. I’m the ‘Bass’ girl with a big butt!’ [I’ve been trying to] lift heavier and do [more] glute activities.” Trainor eats a high-protein diet Kevin Mazur/Getty Meghan Trainor in 2024. Trainor told Women’s Health that she strives to eat 100 grams of protein a day. She’ll typically snack on two eggs and organic turkey bacon for breakfast, while lunch and dinner usually come from a meal delivery service. “I wish I knew how to cook. I make bland stuff,” Trainor told the outlet. “But my husband is a nerd about finding food delivery companies that give you protein and help you out with a journey like that. So we’re always looking for a new one.” She works out with her husband, Daryl Sabara Arturo Holmes/Getty Daryl Sabara and Meghan Trainor in 2024. Sabara and Trainor aren’t just husband and wife — they’re also workout buddies. They typically hit the gym three days a week while their nanny watches Riley and Barry. While strength training is their primary focus, Trainor enjoys encouraging Sabara to push himself physically. “I’ve been begging [Daryl] to join me so I’m not alone,” she told Women’s Health. “It’s funny, I do hard stuff and he’s like, ‘I don’t want to work that hard.’ I’m like, ‘But you should!’ “ Read the original article on People Source link #Singer #Health Pelican News View the full article at [Hidden Content]
