  1. Did You Know Disney’s Stitch Has A Samurai Manga Series? Did You Know Disney’s Stitch Has A Samurai Manga Series? If the upcoming Lilo & Stitch live-action remake has you wanting to revisit the series, but you’ve already seen the original animated movie and its TV series spinoffs enough times, you might want to check out the official Lilo & Stitch manga series where Stitch winds up in feudal Japan and befriends and brutal samurai warlord. Yes, it’s a real thing, and you can grab the entire series with the Stitch and the Samurai: The Complete Collection, which is on ***** for $20.45 (was $22) at Amazon. $20.45 (was $22) Stitch and the Samurai is an official manga series by Hiroto Wada set in an alternate plotline where Stitch ******-lands in Sengoku-era Japan instead of modern-day Hawaii. The warlord Lord Yamato discovers Stitch and believes him to be a “blue tanuki” he can deploy in battle–only for the cute alien to slowly soften the samurai’s stoic disposition. The full series is now available in a single 564-page hardcover omnibus, Stitch and the Samurai: The Complete Collection, for $20.45 (was $22). The series was previously published in three separate volumes, which are also available. Buying the paperback volumes separately is more expensive than the omnibus version, but their smaller format makes them much easier on your hands. Surprisingly, Stitch and the Samurai isn’t the only Lilo and Stitch manga. The Stitch manga, illustrated by Yumi Tsukurino, sees the adorable superweapon travel to a Japanese island near Okinawa, where he befriends a young girl named Yuna who excels at karate, and wacky hijinks ensue. You can pick up the full series in a 352-page omnibus collection for just $12 (was $15). The two original separate volumes are also available for purchase. The series was followed up by two sequels, Best Friends Forever and the upcoming Best Food Forever. There’s also the Disney manga series Magical Dance, which features Stitch and a few other characters from the House of Mouse helping aspiring performer Rin to realize her dream of becoming a dancer. More Lilo & Stitch Manga Over in the US, there have been quite a few Stitch graphic novels published as well. Last year saw the release of a new adventure set after the first film, written by one of the best talents to ever work on Marvel’s Incredible Hulk, Greg Pak, and illustrated in vivid detail by Giulia Giacomino. This is a nice 104-page graphic novel for kids that you can pick up for $11.18 (was $13) and it follows Stitch as he takes on evil aliens and giant robots powered by his own DNA. The second volume is also out soon on July 8, and this storyline sees Lilo recruited by the Galactic Federation to be their go-to expert for animal control. On the prose side, there are also the kid-friendly books in the Agent Stitch book series. Written by Steve Behling and featuring illustrations by Arianna Rhea, these books revolve around Stitch investigating paranormal activities on Earth on behalf of the Galactic Federation. The first book sees Stitch travel to Paris to uncover the disappearance of one of the federation’s best operatives, Cobra Bubbles, and rumors of snail-like aliens known as Snailiens, and the second book sees Stitch land in New York City to solve a missing persons case involving shape-shifting aliens. Book three shifts the action to Korea as Stitch teams up with K-Pop idols to aliens operating in the city of Seoul. $41 As much fun as Lilo and Stitch’s expanded adventures are, nothing beats the animated source material. Over 20 years later, Lilo and Stitch still holds up as one of Disney’s best traditionally animated films, and you can grab it on 4K Blu-ray for $41. This edition includes 4K, Blu-ray, and digital download versions of the movie, plus a bunch of bonus features like a lesson on how to do a Hula dance, music videos, audio commentary, featurettes, and the cheeky promotional materials where Stitch “invaded” other Disney movies. Nightmare Before Christmas manga Disney also released manga based on its Nightmare Before Christmas film, so if you’d like a creepy tour of that movie in print format, you can pick this up right now. The 176-page full-color edition is available for $16 (was $20) through Amazon, and there’s also the deluxe Collector’s Edition that combines the entire Zero’s Journey series into one full-color book. This one was originally priced at 450 when it was first released, but it’s on ***** for 50% off currently. 2. US to pay $5m to family of 6 January rioter Ashli Babbitt US to pay $5m to family of 6 January rioter Ashli Babbitt The Trump administration has agreed to pay a $5m (£3.7m) settlement to the family of Ashli Babbitt, a US Air Force veteran who was shot and killed by a Capitol police officer while breaching the US Congress on 6 January 2021. Capitol Police Chief Tom Manger told CBS, the BBC’s US partner, he is “extremely disappointed” with the decision. The officer involved in her shooting has been cleared of any wrongdoing. The settlement resolves a $30m wrongful death suit filed by Babbitt’s family and the conservative activist group Judicial Watch. Thousands of Trump supporters descended on the US Capitol on 6 January in an attempt to halt the certification of Joe Biden’s victory in the 2020 election. Babbitt was part of a group that smashed windows in an effort to enter the chamber of the House of Representatives while it was still in session, forcing lawmakers to delay certification and flee for safety. Video of the incident shows her being shot in the shoulder after attempting to climb through a door. She later died in hospital. The wrongful death lawsuit filed by Babbitt’s family claimed that the decision to open fire by Capitol Police officer Michael Byrd was negligent, and that Babbitt’s hands were in the air when she was shot. Family members say that Babbitt was motivated to come to the Capitol by Trump’s claims of election fraud. No evidence has ever surfaced of widespread fraud in the 2020 election. Mr Byrd previously defended the move to fire his gun, saying the group of lawmakers and security “were essentially trapped” and had “no way to retreat”. In August 2021, a Capitol Police review found that Mr Byrd’s decision saved lives and was consistent with police training and procedures. A justice department review also found no evidence of any police wrongdoing. “This is extremely disappointing and I completely disagree with the Department of Justice’s decision,” Chief Manger said in a statement to staff after learning of the settlement, the Washington Post reported. “This settlement sends a chilling message to law enforcement officers across our nation – especially those who have a protective mission like ours,” he added. In January, on his first day back in the White House, President Donald Trump issued a blanket pardon for more than 1,500 Capitol riot defendants, including hundreds accused of assaulting police. He also fired the federal prosecutors who handled those cases. Trump in March told conservative news outlet Newsmax that he’s “a big fan of Ashli Babbitt” and that she was “innocently standing there” when she was shot. “And a man did something unthinkable to her when he shot her, and I think it’s a disgrace,” he said, promising to “look into” the lawsuit brought by her family. 4. Putin just showed Trump how little he needs him Putin just showed Trump how little he needs him “The root causes of the conflict.” These were startling words from a man purportedly on the path to peace. But it is the nub of Russian President Vladimir Putin’s position of what must be solved for peace, after two weeks, or three months, depending on how you count, of mounting pressure for an immediate unconditional 30-day ceasefire. Unbothered, taking this most consequential of calls at a music school on the Sochi coast, the Kremlin head has returned to the start – to his false narrative about this war of choice being sparked by NATO expanding too fast. Five other, different words emerged hours before, that may have echoed in Putin’s ears while he spoke to US President Donald Trump for two hours. “It is not our war,” said Vice President JD Vance earlier. Reprising his role as the harbinger of very bad news for European security, Vance held out again this remarkable non-threat: that the United States might pull out of the war – presumably from both diplomacy and aid to Ukraine – unless Russia takes steps toward a peace deal it adamantly does not want. Washington backing off is exactly what Russia yearns for, and to earn this dream outcome, it seems Putin has to do absolutely nothing, bar continue to wage a brutal war. Moments after the call, Trump already sounded like a man stepping back from the fray. Five days earlier he had been the febrile intermediary, the peacemaker willing to bridge the enmity between Putin and Ukraine’s Volodymyr Zelensky for a meeting in Turkey. But after his Monday call with Putin, he simply said Ukraine and Russia must talk directly, “as only they can.” He even passed the task to the home of the new American Pope, the ********, as a possible venue. The United States may not be out of the process entirely, but it talks like it wants someone else to lead it. The last 10 days have been a vivid reminder of how little Putin really needs POTUS or his approval. And the logic is simple. For the best part of three years of war, Russia’s state media has been lecturing its audience they are not only in conflict with Ukraine, but also with all of NATO, including the United States. The presidency of Trump has created a small window in which the Kremlin might talk its way into a better position, or even alleviate the pain of some Western sanctions. But it does not change the central calculation or message of the Kremlin: this is an existential war, about re-establishing their pre-eminence in their near abroad. So much pain and loss has been inflicted on the Russian people through staggering war casualties that delivering middling to poor results might significantly limit the longevity of Russia’s leadership. This isn’t a war they can be seen to have lost. The limits of what the United States can offer Russia at the moment, in terms of leverage, are visible from space. Yes, the US could escalate sanctions, even, as Trump mulled last week, adding “secondary sanctions” against Russia’s financiers, the oil purchasers of India and China. But that would cause another trade-like rift with world powers that Washington has just made good with. The US could alternatively ease sanctions to coax Russia into concessions. But those kid gloves would irk their European allies, and likely falter without Europe’s practical support. Any further steps to cause Moscow pain would likely mean Trump had gone further to punish Russia than his predecessor Joe Biden did. That is not the MAGA geopolitical gameplan. It would deepen US involvement in a war where there is, frankly, no end in sight, until one side falters, or sees drastic change in political leadership. Ukraine in 2025 is a bleak prospect. But the central tenet of European policy was the best choice in a world of ghastly options: Moscow could only be forced into reducing its goals if it saw an infinitely united NATO before it. Its economy, reserve wealth, manpower, or hardware might falter – only one needs to for the war machine to stutter. It is bleak, but Europe is left with little choice. Ukraine has no choice at all. Trump felt he has a choice. His business acumen sees no merit in a long-term investment in a conflict with an enemy you’d prefer to get along with, the best outcome from which is to return Europe to the peace it knew before. There is no deal to be made here. Putin is not buying anything; he seeks to conquer and take. Trump has nothing to sell, bar the United States’ backing for its traditional allies. There is no way Putin and Trump can both win and retain their stature. American leadership has for decades been built around something other than good, small deals. Its benevolence toward allies, vast soft power, and military hegemony, has left it the biggest economy on earth, with an undefeatable currency – itself a very good and huge deal. But Trump sees America’s role as smaller. This may be the moment Trump finally understood Putin as someone who really doesn’t seek his approval or allegiance, and stepped back. If it is, the United States too has stepped back from decades of calling the shots, admitted the limits of its focus and power, and left the most important peace deal since the 1940s to a Hail Mary pass at the ********. 6. EU deal a reminder of an uneasy relationship EU deal a reminder of an uneasy relationship The self-imposed guardrails the government had imposed in these post-Brexit negotiations intentionally limited its room for manoeuvre. There will be no return to the European Union’s customs union or single market or freedom of movement. So there was, then, a risk of pleasing few in the changes they agreed to: those who see themselves as custodians of the original Brexit deal would see it as an unforgivable dilution – and some do. And those who have consistently argued Brexit is a disaster would regard ministers are shamefully unambitious – and some do. Sir Keir Starmer’s calculation appears to be that a majority are of neither of those views, but keen to see what they would describe as improvements around the edges of the existing deal. Folk in government seem pretty chipper with how it is going down, at least initially. The prime minister, talking to business leaders in Downing Street, claimed “we have dramatically improved our trading ties with the largest economy in the world, the US, the fastest growing economy in the world, India and the largest trading bloc in the world, the EU”. Granted the Indian deal is broad. The deal with the US is much thinner, but did stop likely job losses in the automotive industry. The deal with the EU seeks to smoothen frictions in trade, but there are a whole load of details and specifics, timeframes and costs still to be haggled over and sorted. Some Brexiteers say not only is it in parts thin and oversold, but has also crossed a crucial rubicon: the acceptance of “dynamic alignment” in some areas – not just signing up to EU rules as they are now, but tolerating them when they change, with limited opportunities to stop them changing. The European Commission President, Ursula von der Leyen, when I asked her about just this, said that had been the ***’s sovereign choice. Indeed it had, but it does still amount to a case study in a classic Brexit trade-off of making trade easier at the expense of handing over some power. Worthwhile say ministers. Breaching a sacrosanct principle say its critics. While the arguments about all this, unlike during the noisy Brexit years, will probably slip back into the background most of the time, the ongoing conversation and negotiation will matter. It will determine how much this will cost, precisely what it will mean for defence co-operation, who and how many young people may be able to travel more easily to the EU and vice versa and whether and by when there is a mutual recognition of professional qualifications. Even the much talked up easing of queues at EU airports is not certain – it is now down to individual member states to decide on whether to change their approach. These details and others will matter to many and be an important metric of the real-world impact of this deal beyond the words on its launch day. We now know this first ***-EU summit is planned to be the first of many – it will be an annual occasion. It is a reminder that the ***’s uneasy relationship with its nearest neighbours existed as members of the European Union and it continues as non-members. The government calls it a “reset” but in reality resetting, in one direction or another, is probably permanent or semi-permanent. The trajectory of the current government, within its own guardrails, is towards a closer relationship. The trajectory of its successors may be different. 7. Inside Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s anniversary scrapbook: Unseen photos and royal flashbacks Inside Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s anniversary scrapbook: Unseen photos and royal flashbacks Seven years, one royal exit, two kids and a cross-continental relocation later, the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, is reflecting on it all with a heartfelt anniversary post on Instagram that’s part love letter, part personal scrapbook. To celebrate her seventh wedding anniversary with Prince Harry, Meghan took to Instagram with a nostalgic tribute to the couple’s journey, sharing a curated mood board filled with previously unseen photos, handwritten lyrics, and milestone memories from their relationship. Alongside the memory board post, Meghan wrote, “Seven years of marriage. A lifetime of stories.” She continued by writing, “Thanks to all of you (whether by our side, or from afar) who have loved and supported us throughout our love story — we appreciate you. Happy anniversary!” The memory board was filled with photographs marking milestones of the royal couple’s love story dating from 2016. Here’s what she shared — and what it reveals about how far the Sussexes have come. If you’d like to view this content, please adjust your Cookie Settings. To find out more about how we use cookies, please see our Cookie Guide. The early sparks The memory board begins with a throwback selfie from London in 2016, when Meghan and Prince Harry had just started dating. Prince Harry smiles over Meghan’s shoulder, a glimpse into the private beginnings of what would become a globally scrutinised romance. Another snap shows the couple in Botswana, on their second date, shirtless Prince Harry, safari vibes, and the kind of early adventure that would later shape the symbolism of Meghan’s engagement ring. The engagement chicken that changed everything Meghan included a set of candid “engagement photos” marked 2017. A nod to the roast-chicken dinner gone down in royal history. The Daily Mail reported that Prince Harry popped the question at Nottingham Cottage, surrounded by candlelight and their rescue beagle, named Guy. His proposal? Prince Harry got on one knee and said, “Spend your life with me? Make me the happiest guy on the planet?” Her answer? “Can I say yes? Can I say yes?” The big day One photo from their 2018 wedding at St George’s Chapel shows the Sussexes in full fairytale mode. But tucked into the collage is a more personal touch: the handwritten lyrics of Stand By Me, the gospel version of which played during the ceremony, after ten rejected arrangements. Yes, ten. According to choir conductor Karen Gibson, it took a face-to-face meeting at Kensington Palace and an eleventh attempt to get it “just right.” Camera IconPrince Harry and Meghan Markles Royal Wedding. Credit: Netflix/NetflixControversial coat of arms and a nod to the Queen Among the romantic visuals is a quieter, more symbolic yet controversial choice: Meghan’s personal coat of arms. Designed in partnership with the College of Arms and approved by the late Queen Elizabeth II, it features nods to Meghan’s Californian roots, golden poppies, blue skies, and rays of sunshine, alongside a crown and quill symbols representing communication. It’s a reminder of a different chapter, one that began with royal titles and ended with a cross-Atlantic reset. A kiss in the kitchen of Frogmore Cottage, the Windsor home gifted by the Queen and later paid back by the couple after public scrutiny over renovations. Though they haven’t lived there since 2020, the image is a throwback to their final *** chapter and perhaps a quiet acknowledgement of where it all changed. Final *** arrangements, with a dash of colour Meghan also shared a shot from the 2020 Mountbatten Festival of Music, where she wore a striking red gown next to Prince Harry in military dress. It was one of their last public outings as senior royals before stepping down, and the matching scarlet outfits were as coordinated as their united front. Family snapshots in Montecito and beyond Among the most intimate photos were glimpses of Archie and Lilibet, a rare occurrence, given how tightly the Sussexes guard their children’s privacy. One beachside photo shows Prince Harry with both children in sunset light; another captures a sweet backyard arts-and-crafts session at their Montecito home. In another, Archie flashes his face to the camera, a tender update on the now six-year-old who’s largely grown up out of the public eye. Royal rainstorms and heartfelt speeches A throwback to their 2018 tour of Australia also made the board, a rain-drenched appearance in Dubbo, where Prince Harry addressed drought-stricken farmers and reflected on his own mental health journey. “I’ve been there,” he said at the time. “You need to talk about it.” Camera IconThe Duke and Duchess of Sussex attend a community picnic in Victoria Park in Dubbo, New South Wales, on the second day of the royal couple’s visit to Australia.. It’s a subtle blend of the old and new, of monarchy and Montecito, all rolled into a windswept beach moment. Calligraphy, keepsakes and a final note True to form, Meghan’s handwritten touch was everywhere — from date labels to quotes like “Love wins” in her signature cursive. She’s long championed the art of handwritten notes, once teaching calligraphy and gift wrapping at a Beverly Hills boutique before her acting career took off. The sentiment? Personal, polished, and unmistakably Markle. A lifetime of stories…still unfolding This wasn’t just an anniversary post. 10. Netflix strikes deal to bring Sesame Street to streaming giant Netflix strikes deal to bring Sesame Street to streaming giant Sesame Street and Netflix have struck a deal that will see the popular US television show appear on the streaming platform, while still being available on the free-to-air channel PBS. Netflix said the iconic programme is a “beloved cornerstone of children’s media, enchanting young minds and nurturing a love of learning”. From later this year Netflix will offer its 300 million subscribers around the world a new 56th season of the show and 90 hours of previous episodes. Sesame Street was facing an uncertain future after entertainment giant Warner Bros Discovery, which owns the HBO platform, did not renew its deal with the half a century old programme. Under the deal, PBS will get access to episodes on the same day they are released on Netflix. Since its first airing on 10 November 1969, millions of children have grown up with the show’s theme tune “Can you tell me how to get, how get to Sesame Street?” Over the decades, the programme and its characters have gained a life beyond the the small screen. During a child obesity epidemic in the US in 2006, Sesame Street aired Health Habits segments designed to teach kids about diet and exercise. The Cookie Monster declared cookies a “sometimes food” and taught children about a balanced diet. Former First Lady Michelle Obama also visited Sesame’s studios to film a segment on healthy eating. Meanwhile, Elmo stepped into the public policy spotlight in 2002, when he was invited to discuss music education at Congress. Netflix has been increasing its focus on children’s content, that accounts for 15% of viewing on its service. It also announced on Tuesday that new episodes of Peppa Pig and a mobile game with puzzles and colouring activities would be coming to the platform. The 44-year-old actress had daughter Matilda Ledger, now 19, with Heath before he died in January 2008, aged 28, from an accidental overdose as a result of prescription drug abuse months after the couple had separated. She has now spoken candidly about the actor and her approach to motherhood during an appearance on the Armchair Expert with Dax Shepard podcast, saying about his legacy: “(He was) so special, so special. Thank God there’s Matilda.” Williams also became emotional as Dax, 49, recalled his connection to Brokeback Mountain star. He said, “I feel obligated to say that I knew him a little bit when he was getting sober, and I don’t know that I’ve ever fallen in love with somebody so quickly. “This is one of the most special boys I’ve ever met, and I can feel the weight of the world on him in a very special way that kind of broke my heart. I was very, very sad, and I thought he was just so special.” Williams and Ledger met while filming Ang Lee’s 2005 drama Brokeback Mountain, which earned widespread acclaim and multiple Academy Awards. 12. Dialog Group Berhad’s (KLSE:DIALOG) Dividend Will Be Reduced To MYR0.013 Dialog Group Berhad’s (KLSE:DIALOG) Dividend Will Be Reduced To MYR0.013 Dialog Group Berhad (KLSE:DIALOG) is reducing its dividend to MYR0.013 on the 26th of Junewhich is 13% less than last year’s comparable payment of MYR0.015. However, the dividend yield of 2.8% is still a decent boost to shareholder returns. We’ve discovered 2 warning signs about Dialog Group Berhad. View them for free. Impressive dividend yields are good, but this doesn’t matter much if the payments can’t be sustained. The last payment made up 82% of earnings, but cash flows were much higher. This leaves plenty of cash for reinvestment into the business. Looking forward, earnings per share is forecast to rise by 75.4% over the next year. Under the assumption that the dividend will continue along recent trends, we think the payout ratio could be 48% which would be quite comfortable going to take the dividend forward. KLSE:DIALOG Historic Dividend May 20th 2025 View our latest analysis for Dialog Group Berhad The company has a long dividend track record, but it doesn’t look great with cuts in the past. Since 2015, the annual payment back then was MYR0.0165, compared to the most recent full-year payment of MYR0.043. This works out to be a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of approximately 10% a year over that time. It is great to see strong growth in the dividend payments, but cuts are concerning as it may indicate the payout policy is too ambitious. With a relatively unstable dividend, it’s even more important to see if earnings per share is growing. Dialog Group Berhad’s EPS has fallen by approximately 14% per year during the past five years. Such rapid declines definitely have the potential to constrain dividend payments if the trend continues into the future. On the bright side, earnings are predicted to gain some ground over the next year, but until this turns into a pattern we wouldn’t be feeling too comfortable. In summary, dividends being cut isn’t ideal, however it can bring the payment into a more sustainable range. The company is generating plenty of cash, which could maintain the dividend for a while, but the track record hasn’t been great. We would probably look elsewhere for an income investment. It’s important to note that companies having a consistent dividend policy will generate greater investor confidence than those having an erratic one. Still, investors need to consider a host of other factors, apart from dividend payments, when analysing a company. MSI’s brings AMD-based gaming handheld, updated mid-range gaming laptops to Computex MSI’s brings AMD-based gaming handheld, updated mid-range gaming laptops to Computex MSI brought its first gaming handheld with an AMD chip inside, the Claw A8 BZ2EM, to Computex. The company also used Taipei tradeshow to launch the latest versions of its Crosshair and Cyborg laptops. MSI’s previous gaming handhelds, like its Claw 8 AI+, used Intel’s Core Ultra processors — the only mainstream gaming company to do so. It doesn’t seem that MSI is abandoning Intel, but is now making systems with chips from both partners. Swipe to scroll horizontally Header Cell – Column 0 MSI Claw A8 BZ2EM Processor AMD Ryzen Z2 Extreme Graphics AMD Radeon (integrated) Display 8-inch, 1920- x 1200, 120 Hz, VRR, IPS-level RAM Up to 24GB LPDDR5x-8000 Storage 1x NVMe M.2 2280 SSD Battery 80 WHr Wireless Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3 Beyond using AMD’s Ryzen Z2 Extreme chip, the Claw A8 will have other new features. The system, which is very green, has an Xbox-style controller layout, placing the right thumbstick below the A/B/X/Y buttons. MSI is using Hall Effect joysticks, which should help prevent stick drift. The Claw A8 also has Hall Effect sensors in the LT and RT triggers. The company has rounded the corners and put in ******* grips, which should increase comfort over previous Claw systems. You may like The option for up to 24GB of RAM is impressive (especially fast LPDDR5x-8000 memory), but MSI hasn’t said anything about what configurations will go to which markets, so we’ll see how systems launch with that much memory. Asus used 24GB of memory in the ROG Ally X, one of the best PC Gaming Handhelds, which benefitted because the CPU and GPU share memory. (Image credit: MSI) The 80 WHr battery on the Claw is also identical in capacity to the Ally X, which lasted far longer than the original ROG Ally with a smaller 40 WHr battery. The top of the system features plenty of ports, including a headphone jack, microSD card reader, two USB 4 Type-C ports, as well as a volume rocker and a power button with a built-in fingerprint reader. While the microSD card reader is expected at this point, MSI is also using a standard M.2 2280 SSD, so in theory you could easily crack the system open and replace it with a standard-sized M.2 drive. MSI has refreshed its MSI Center software to be accessible via Xbox Game Bar. This should take up less space and allow for extra customization, but it’s still building on top of Windows 11, which hasn’t proven to be the most intuitive operating system for gaming handhelds. MSI hasn’t announced pricing or a release date for the Claw A8. Gaming Laptops Like Acer and Asus, MSI brought its mid-range gaming notebooks to Computex, upgrading them to Nvidia’s new RTX 5060 and the RTX 5070. (Image credit: MSI) The new Crosshairs will come in 16, 17, and 18-inch sizes. Confusingly enough, using the 18-inchers as examples, the Intel models are styled Crosshair 18 HX AI, while the AMD versions are Crosshair A18HX. All of the systems have 90 WHr batteries, Wi-Fi 6E, and 2560 x 1600, 240 Hz screens. MSI only sent along configurations for the Crosshair 18HX AI, which will start at $1,699 at Costco and features a Core Ultra 9 275HX, Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070, 32GB of RAM, and 1TB of storage. For $2,049, you’ll be able to get 64GB of RAM. MSI hasn’t detailed full specifications, so while we know Intel will have slightly faster RAM, we don’t know how much RAM many of these systems will ship with. We do know that they have a MUX switch on the motherboard, new crosshair logos on the hinge and touchpad, and, on the 18-inchers, a 24-zone RGB keyboard. MSI didn’t provide pricing or release information for these systems. (Image credit: MSI) There’s also a refresh to the Cyborg line, which comes in 15 and 17-inch sizes. These systems use translucent plastic on the edges but still have a metal lid. The Cyborg 15 and Cyborg 17 will use Intel Core 200H chips and RTX 5060, 5070, “and below” graphics cards, while the Cyborg A15 AI and A17 AI (yes, here AI stands for AMD), will opt for Ryzen 200 series processors. The 15-inch screens come in either 1080p at 144 Hz or 1440p at 165 Hz. if you opt for 17 inches, MSI has gone for a 1080p/144 Hz screen or a 1440p, 240 Hz option. Again, we only have partial pricing here, and no availability. The Cyborg A15 AI will start at $1,149 at Costco with a Ryzen 7 260, RTX 5050 (which we were surprised to see in a sheet sent to press), 16GB of RAM, and 1TB of storage. For $1,399 at Best Buy, you can go up to a Ryzen 9 270 and RTX 5060. The 17-inch AMD model will be $1,549 at Costco with the Ryzen 9 270, RTX 5060, 32GB of RAM, and 1TB of storage. MSI’s other Computex announcements include some productivity laptops, including a new Stealth A16 AI+ and Prestige 16 AI+ notebook that further MSI’s partnership with AMG Motorsport. Additionally, there’s a new Prestige 13 AI+ “Ukiyuo-e Edition,” a limited edition showcasing “The Great Wave off Kanagawa” that will be individually crafted by artists. 15. British man breaks record for fastest run across Australia British man breaks record for fastest run across Australia A British ultra-endurance athlete has broken the world record for running across the length of Australia, after a gruelling 35-day journey. William Goodge, 31, started the 3,800km (2,361 miles) run from Cottesloe Beach in Perth on 15 April, and finished on Monday afternoon at Australia’s iconic Bondi Beach, his father by his side. Originally from Bedfordshire in England, Goodge ran the equivalent of two-and-a-half marathons – about 100km – every day. He started running marathons after his mother, Amanda, died from ******* in 2018, with this journey raising money for ******* charities in the ***, US and Australia. The previous world record for running across Australia was held by Chris Turnbull, who managed the feat in 39 days in 2023. The year before, *********** electrician Nedd Brockmann ran the same route in 47 days, raising millions for charity. Speaking to local media after he crossed the finish line, Goodge said the run was “like a revolving nightmare that wouldn’t end”. “The first nine days were extremely challenging…but you have to tell your body and mind that even though you’re struggling, you’re going to persevere, and you’re going to get through it,” he told the Sydney Morning Herald (SMH). Moments after crossing the finish line, Goodge placed a bunch of flowers on Bondi’s famous shoreline in memory of his late mother. “She was the most special person in my life,” he told the Guardian Australia, adding, “she would be proud of everything I’ve done – she’d also be concerned”. Goodge said thinking about how his mother battled ******* was crucial during his journey, and helped him overlook his own suffering. “So in the moments where it’s tough, I’ll think back to those times, I think about the woman she was, and how she handled herself, and how she supported me,” he told the SMH. “I feel like she’s there with me a lot of the time.” On Goodge’s website about the run, he also thanked Turnbull for sharing his knowledge and experience on how to tackle the the journey. Goodge also holds the record for the fastest British man to run across the US, crossing from Los Angeles to New York in 55 days. 16. Trump nominee Kushner to be US ambassador to France Trump nominee Kushner to be US ambassador to France The US Senate has confirmed Charles Kushner, father of President Donald Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner and the recipient of a presidential pardon after his conviction for witness tampering and tax evasion, will be ambassador to France. The Senate backed Kushner 51-to-45 on Monday. Senator Cory Booker, who represents Kushner’s home state of New Jersey, was the only Democrat to vote along with Trump’s fellow Republicans in favour of the nomination. Senator Lisa Murkowski of Alaska was the only Republican who opposed it. Kushner pleaded guilty in 2005 to 18 federal counts, including tax evasion, retaliating against a federal witness and lying to the Federal Election Commission. He served two years in prison, the maximum allowed in a plea deal. Prosecutors at the time said Kushner learned that his brother-in-law was co-operating with a federal investigation and hired a prostitute to lure him to a motel room for an encounter recorded with a hidden camera and sent the tape to the brother-in-law’s wife, Kushner’s sister. Trump pardoned Kushner, whose son is married to Trump’s daughter Ivanka, in 2020. Kushner’s confirmation was not a surprise. Trump’s fellow Republicans hold a 53-47 majority in the Senate and have confirmed every Trump nominee who has come up for a vote in the chamber since the president’s second term began on January 20. Kushner said at his confirmation hearing that he acknowledged past “serious mistakes” and said they might make him a better ambassador, because he had paid a price for poor judgment. 18. The 5 Best High-Fiber Foods for Diabetes, According to a Dietitian The 5 Best High-Fiber Foods for Diabetes, According to a Dietitian Reviewed by Dietitian Jessica Ball, M.S., RD Getty Images. EatingWell design. Fiber helps minimize blood sugar spikes and is essential for diabetes management. Chickpeas, chia seeds, edamame, raspberries and avocados are top high-fiber foods for diabetes. Increase fiber intake gradually to minimize digestive side effects. Fiber plays a crucial role in supporting overall health, particularly for individuals with diabetes. One of its most significant benefits is its ability to help regulate blood sugar levels. By slowing the digestion and absorption of glucose, fiber prevents sharp spikes and crashes in blood sugar, promoting a steadier, more controlled rise. Unlike carbohydrates that are broken down into glucose for energy, fiber passes through our digestive system largely intact, helping to moderate how quickly glucose enters the bloodstream. This makes it an essential component of managing diabetes effectively. For example, consuming whole-grain bread instead of white bread introduces additional fiber and nutrients, slowing the digestive process and leading to a more gradual increase in blood sugar. Incorporating fiber into meals doesn’t always require a complete diet overhaul—it can often be as simple as adding a high-fiber ingredient to complement your dish. With so many high-fiber foods available, it’s easy to find options that suit your preferences and dietary needs. Let’s explore some of the best high-fiber foods that can help you manage blood sugar while keeping your meals balanced and delicious. 1. Chickpeas Chickpeas (aka garbanzo beans) are an excellent high-fiber addition to any salad, sauté or grain bowl. A ½-cup serving of canned chickpeas contains about 117 calories, 6 grams of protein, 19 grams of carbohydrates, 2 grams of **** and 5 grams of fiber. The fiber and protein serve to slow down the digestion of the carbohydrates in the chickpeas, allowing them to raise blood sugar slowly and steadily, which is especially helpful when you have diabetes. Try our Classic Hummus for a boost of chickpeas in your diet. 2. Chia Seeds Chia seeds are a fiber powerhouse. One tablespoon of chia seeds (1/2 oz.) contains about 70 calories, 2 grams of protein, 4 grams of **** and almost 5 grams of fiber in just one small spoonful! One study found that people with both type 2 diabetes and hypertension who included 40 grams of chia seeds every day for 12 weeks experienced a significant reduction in systolic blood pressure compared to those who did not add chia seeds to their diet. Chia seeds are super universal, too. You can add them to just about anything for a boost of fiber, protein and healthy ****. Add chia seeds to oatmeal, overnight oats, toast (sweet or savory), smoothies or salads to reap the benefits. Or try a delicious chia seed pudding! 3. Edamame Edamame is an excellent protein- and fiber-filled food. One cup of shelled edamame contains about 188 calories, 18 grams of protein, 13 grams of carbs and 8 grams of dietary fiber. The high protein and fiber content help slow down the digestion of these tasty green soybeans, making them a great addition to a diabetes-friendly eating pattern. There are so many different ways to incorporate edamame into your diet. Add ½ cup shelled edamame to any salad for a plant-based protein boost. You can boil frozen edamame for 5 minutes, drain and season with salt, and enjoy it as a high-protein snack at any time. Going out for sushi? Order the edamame as your appetizer. Starting the meal out with a high-protein, high-fiber appetizer can help you feel satisfied until your entrees arrive, and may help you enjoy your meal in more balanced portions. 4. Raspberries Raspberries are an excellent fruit option for those with diabetes. One cup of raspberries contains about 64 calories, 14 grams of carbs and 8 grams of dietary fiber. Research suggests that red raspberry consumption is linked to improvements in glucose handling and insulin sensitivity, though more robust, human studies are needed. There are tons of ways to incorporate raspberries into your diet. Enjoy them raw, add them to salads, sprinkle over a parfait or combine them with chia seeds to make our Chia Berry Jam. That said, fresh raspberries can be expensive and spoil quickly, so opt for frozen ones to save some money and extend their shelf life. 5. Avocados Avocados are known for their healthy **** and omega-3 content, but don’t overlook them as an excellent source of fiber, too. One half of an avocado contains almost 7 grams of fiber—that’s 33% of the daily recommended amount for women and 23% for men. One half of an avocado also contains about 15 grams of unsaturated ****, which is a type of **** that has some heart-healthy benefits. Unsaturated fats can help to lower LDL (“bad”) cholesterol and raise HDL (“good”) cholesterol to help keep your arteries free of plaque and functioning at their best. The high **** and fiber content of avocados also makes them a super-slow-digesting food. Yes, avocado toast is delicious, but there are many other ways to enjoy all that this ******* fruit has to offer. Add mashed avocado to a sandwich in place of mayo, or add cubed avocado to a salad for more healthy fats and fiber. Have avocados that are on their way out? Peel, pit and cube them and throw them in the freezer in a zip-top bag. Add a couple of frozen avocado cubes to smoothies for healthy ****, fiber and tons of creaminess. The Bottom Line Fiber is a super-important nutrient to include in any eating pattern, especially if you have diabetes. But remember, increasing your fiber intake should be a slow and steady endeavor, as eating too much fiber right off the bat can lead to some unpleasant digestive symptoms. Upping your fiber intake can be as simple as a few additions of high-fiber foods like these throughout your day. China’s CATL sees shares rise 17% in Hong Kong on electric-vehicle ***** China’s CATL sees shares rise 17% in Hong Kong on electric-vehicle ***** Shares of CATL debut in Hong Kong on May 20, 2025. Sopa Images | Lightrocket | Getty Images Shares of the world’s largest battery manufacturer Contemporary Amperex Technology rose over 17% in their Hong Kong trading debut on Tuesday. Shares were trading at 309 Hong Kong dollars apiece on the Hong Kong stock exchange, compared with the initial public offering price of HK$263 dollars per share. The IPO raised HK$35.7 billion ($4.6 billion) according to a company filing, reportedly making it the largest global listing in 2025. CATL is already listed on on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange, where the shares are down 2.26% so far this year, data from LSEG showed. CATL said in its Hong Kong filing that 90% of the funds raised will go toward building its upcoming factory in Hungary, aimed at supplying batteries to European automotive clients including Stellantis, BMW and Volkswagen. The company’s global push has coincided with expansions from leading ******** EV makers such as BYD. However, these efforts hit a speed bump last year when the U.S. and EU placed punitive tariffs on EVs made in China, citing unfair trade practices. CATL also found itself in the crosshairs of U.S.-China trade tensions earlier this year, with the Pentagon placing it on a watchlist in January over suspected links to China’s military — allegations the company has rejected. In March, CATL posted a 9.7% drop in its 2024 annual revenue, hit by intense competition in China’s electric-vehicle market that pressured the world’s top battery producer. Still, the company’s net profit went up by 15% year over year. Demand for electric vehicles in China, a critical market for CATL, gained momentum last year on the back of a combination of subsidies and consumer purchase incentives. EV sales in China surged to 11 million in 2024 — a 40% increase compared to the previous year, data from U.K. research firm Rho Motion showed. “We’re a big believer and investor in CATL in our global EV strategy. It’s just phenomenal, it’s a ‘must own company,’ in my opinion, along with BYD for investors in the space,” said Brendan Ahern, chief investment officer at KraneShares. Most People Forget To Clean This One Spot on Their Bodies—and It’s a Breeding Ground for Bacteria Most People Forget To Clean This One Spot on Their Bodies—and It’s a Breeding Ground for Bacteria Just because you jump in the shower doesn’t mean you’re squeaky clean. It’s easy to miss smaller areas or not scrub hard enough in places where bacteria like to thrive. And there’s one place many people seem to always miss. SIGN UP for tips to stay healthy & fit with the top moves, clean eats, health trends & more delivered right to your inbox twice a week Now, we’re not talking about the feet—though they are a body part crawling with millions of germs when washed incorrectly. Dermatologists tell Parade that this small area of the body is something that people constantly overlook. Related: You Should Never Leave This Item in the Shower, Derms Say Prioritize This Area in the Shower The next time you’re in the shower, don’t forget to scrub a little soap behind the ears. Dermatologists say it’s a small step with huge consequences if left unclean. Dirt, skin cells the body routinely sheds and oil (sebum) can easily get trapped in the folds and creases of the skin. Behind the ears is no exception. Dr. Roger Kapoor, MD, a dermatologist and senior vice president at Beloit Memorial Hospital, says the filth builds up quickly behind the ears. This worsens in the summer when you’re applying sunscreen and other lotions but not washing them off afterwards, says dermatologistDr. Anna Chacon, MD, FAAD. “As often as you wash other parts of your body, I would add behind the ears to the list of parts to clean,” she adds. Related: People Are Showering in the Wrong Order, Dermatologists Say What Happens When You Forget To Clean Behind the Ears? The behind-the-ears area is an oily hotspot for unhealthy microbes. One study mapped out the germs in oft-forgotten body parts—behind the ears was high on the list—and found a diverse amount of infection-causing bacteria. Dr. Kapoor says the risk of skin irritation and bacterial infection is higher if you forget to scrub behind the ears and the area has any cuts or openings. Another condition that can occur is ear eczema, which is formally known as seborrheic dermatitis. It is an inflammatory condition where people develop flaky, white to yellowish scales in areas with high oil ****** activity. This is often accompanied by itchiness and mild redness. Oily, unclean ears can also give off a foul odor. When oil is left to combine with sweat and dirt, Dr. Kapoor says it can leave your ears with a greasy smell. Over time, the oil build-up can block pores, causing painful pimples or acne breakouts. Related: Why Is My Skin Breaking Out All of a Sudden? Does Shampoo Help Clean Behind the Ears? Dr. Kapoor says shampoo can somewhat help with cleaning behind the ears because the ingredients in many hair cleaning products are designed to break down oil and bacteria. That being said, he doesn’t recommend relying only on shampoo to keep the back of your ears clean. That’s because shampoos wash away when rinsing, so they don’t have prolonged contact with the skin behind the ears unless you directly scrub in the area. “I always recommend people wash the skin behind their ears intentionally and specifically to get into the creases of where the ear meets your skin, as it can always trap grime,” he advises. There’s no special method to clean behind your ears. Use the same gentle soap you would lather on the rest of your body, and gently scrub the skin behind your ears for a few seconds with your fingers. Then, rinse the area with water and dry it well. If you wear glasses, Dr. Kapoor says to wash the arms of your glasses regularly since they rest behind your ears and can easily transfer bacteria to the skin. Don’t forget to moisturize to avoid dryness and further skin problems. 23. Nippon Steel to invest $4 billion for new U.S. Steel mill: Reuters Nippon Steel to invest $4 billion for new U.S. Steel mill: Reuters Headquarter building of the Nippon Steel corporation in Japan on January 7, 2025. David Mareuil | Anadolu | Getty Images Nippon Steel plans to invest $14 billion in U.S. Steel’s operations including up to $4 billion in a new steel mill if the Trump administration green lights its bid for the iconic U.S. company, according to a document and three people familiar with the matter. Under details of the plan included in the document, the company will plow $11 billion into U.S. Steel’s infrastructure through 2028. That includes $1 billion in a green field site, which is expected to grow by $3 billion over the following years and has not been previously reported. The total investment figure was previously reported by CTFN. Shares of U.S. Steel rose closed up more than 3% after the Reuters report. The super-charged investment pledge, up from an initial $1.4 billion, was pitched as part of a last ditch effort to win approval of the merger, which has drawn fire from both Presidents Donald Trump and Joe Biden. The companies face a May 21 deadline for the completion of a fresh national security review of their proposed tie-up, which was blocked by Biden on national security grounds in January following a prior review. Trump would then have 15 days to decide the fate of the transaction, although the timeline could slip. It is unclear if the billions in new investment will be enough to sway Trump, though two other sources said his administration sought the increased investment. The new pledge should be enough to entice the Trump administration to approve the merger, said Nick Klein, a lawyer from DLA Piper. “Increased investment to expand steel production in the United States is critical to our national security. I think the Trump administration recognizes this and will approve the deal, Klein said. Regardless, the offer shows the lengths Nippon Steel is willing to go to secure approval, with a looming $565 million breakup fee and current steep U.S. steel tariffs of 25% to access thriving American steel markets. U.S. Steel declined to comment. Nippon Steel, the White House and the Treasury Department, which leads the committee overseeing the national security review, did not respond to requests for comment. Nippon Steel offered $14.9 billion for U.S. Steel in December 2023, seeking to capitalize on an expected ramp up in steel purchases, thanks to the bipartisan infrastructure law. But the tie-up faced headwinds from the start, with both then-President Biden and Trump asserting U.S. Steel should remain American owned as they sought to woo voters in the swing state of Pennsylvania, where the company is headquartered. Nippon Steel added investment pledges to sweeten the deal from $1.4 billion to $2.7 billion in August 2024, as well as promises to maintain U.S. Steel’s headquarters in Pennsylvania. But Biden’s January block of the deal on national security grounds prompted lawsuits by the companies alleging the national security review they received was biased, a charge the Biden White House disputed. The steel giants saw a new opportunity in the Trump administration, which began on January 20 and opened a fresh 45-day national security review into the proposed merger last month. But Trump’s public comments, ranging from welcoming a simple “investment” in U.S. Steel by the Japanese firm to floating a ********* stake for Nippon Steel, have done little to shore up investor confidence in an eventual greenlight. Regardless of Trump’s final decision, some lawmakers from his party attribute Nippon Steel’s increased investment to the President. “President Trump has not only brought life back into this partnership by giving it a second chance, but he also made it great,” said Kim Ward, a Republican Pennsylvania state senator and staunch advocate for the deal’s approval. Nippon Steel Vice Chairman Takahiro Mori was in Washington last week to meet with U.S. officials to try to win approval of the deal, Reuters previously reported.
