Super Bowl Soundbar Deals – Save On Models From Sonos, Samsung, Sony, And More
Super Bowl Soundbar Deals – Save On Models From Sonos, Samsung, Sony, And More
The days leading up to the Super Bowl are always filled with excellent TV discounts, but the same is true for soundbars and sound systems. Popular models from Sonos, Samsung, JBL, and more are currently listed for some of their best prices in months, making it the ideal time to upgrade your home theater’s audio setup. We’ve rounded up all the best soundbar deals available ahead of the Super Bowl in the list below.
Sonos Soundbar & Speaker Deals
Sonos Arc
The Sonos Arc 5.0.2 Soundbar is one of the best deals of the bunch, as the wildly popular device is now just $650 (was $900). With support for Dolby Atmos, the ability to optimize its sound for the acoustics of your room, and a Speech Enhancement feature to make dialogue easier to hear, it’s a premium choice for most shoppers. For something more affordable, the Sonos Beam (Gen 2) is also discounted to $399 (was $499). Its compact design makes it a better fit for smaller TVs, though you’ll still benefit from Dolby Atmos support.
Samsung Soundbar & Speaker Deals
Samsung HW-Q600C with Subwoofer
With a staggering 45% discount, the Samsung HW-Q600C 3.1.2 Ch Soundbar with Subwoofer is down to one of its best prices in years. The soundbar includes a wireless subwoofer, a Game Mode Pro that optimizes performance while gaming, and can be set up in minutes thanks to its HDMI eARC support. Though it’s not as impressive, the Samsung HW-C400/ZA 2.0 Channel C-Series Soundbar is just $90 (was $120) and it should be a nice (and affordable) upgrade from most built-in TV speakers.
Sony Soundbar & Speaker Deals
Sony Bravia Theater Bar 8
Best Buy is offering a fantastic bundle that pulls together the Sony HT-S2000 Soundbar, SA-RS3S Rear Speakers, and SA-SW3 200W Wireless Subwoofer for $750 (was $1,250). That makes it one of the most expensive bundles in this roundup, but it’s also one of the best options if you’re seeking a comprehensive sound system. Alternatively, you can snag the Sony HT-S2000 3.1 Ch Dolby Atmos Soundbar for just $300 (was $500) if all you want is a soundbar with Dolby Atmos support.
LG Soundbar & Speaker Deals
LG 5.1.1 Ch S70TR Bundle
Looking for a complete audio system that isn’t too expensive? Check out the LG 5.1.1 Ch S70TR Soundbar + Subwoofer + Rear Speakers, as the bundle is seeing a $100 price cut at Best Buy. Featuring Dolby Atmos and a center up-firing speaker for crisp dialogue, support for the LG Soundbar App to customize its performance, and a sleek design that meshes with most LG TVs, it’s a great choice at this low price. Double your budget, and you can snag the LG SC9S Soundbar and Subwoofer for $600 (was $800), which uses AI to calibrate its performance to your specific room.
Bose Soundbar & Speaker Deals
Bose Smart Ultra Soundbar
The Bose Smart Ultra Soundbar with Dolby Atmos packs an entire home theater into a single soundbar, and it’s currently listed for $800 (was $900). With six full-range transducers, two up-firing dipole speakers, and a total of nine speakers throughout its slim frame, it’s a solid alternative to larger setups. It also looks quite stylish with a premium gloss finish and the option for either ****** or white designs. At the other end of the spectrum is the affordable Bose Solo Soundbar Series 2 for $170 (was $200). It’s not nearly as well-rounded, but its compact, offers a feature that’ll improve the clarity of dialogue, and is shockingly cheap for a Bose product.
JBL Soundbar & Speaker Deals
JBL Bar 500
With a wireless subwoofer, detachable surround speakers, and a massive soundbar, the JBL Bar 9.1 Ch Soundbar + Surround Speakers (Dolby Atmos) is designed to fill your whole room with crisp audio. The all-in-one bundle features everything you need to bring your games, movies, or Super Bowl party to life, and it’s a solid choice at the discounted price of $800 (was $1,200). You could also check out the JBL Bar 500, which supports Dolby Atmos and comes with a wireless subwoofer for just $400 (was $600).

Is cleaner air accelerating global warming more than we expected?
Is cleaner air accelerating global warming more than we expected?
Air pollution can have a cooling effect on the climate
Cheunghyo/Getty Images
James Hansen, the climate scientist best known for alerting the US Congress to global warming in the 1980s, has redoubled his warnings that we are underestimating the climate impact of declining air pollution.
“Humanity made a bad deal, a Faustian bargain, when we used aerosols to offset almost half of greenhouse gas warming,” said Hansen at a briefing hosted by the United Nations Sustainable Development Solutions Network.
But other researchers say this conclusion is based on shaky foundations, and we still don’t know how much reductions in air pollution are contributing to global warming. Hansen’s conclusions are “hovering around the top end of what we’d consider to be plausible”, says Michael Diamond at Florida State University, who wasn’t involved with the research.
Record spikes in global average temperatures in 2023 and 2024 have spurred debate about whether the pace of global warming is accelerating faster than expected. Rising levels of greenhouse gases and a warming Pacific Ocean drove most of the temperature increase, but other unknown contributors pushed average temperatures even higher than can be explained by those factors alone.
Hansen and his colleagues previously linked the accelerating rate of warming with a reduction in air pollution. Now they offer a new analysis arguing that a decline in air pollution can explain the spike in temperatures over the past two years. Aerosols in air pollution both reflect sunlight away from Earth directly and interact with clouds – which have also been implicated as a factor in the heat.
The researchers focus in particular on the effect of a 2020 regulation that slashed the amount of harmful sulphur used in shipping fuels. That sudden drop in air pollution over the oceans has provided researchers with an unintended experiment that lets them determine the climate effects of aerosols with more precision.
Hansen and his colleagues looked at busy shipping corridors in the Pacific Ocean to estimate this effect, measuring the change in solar radiation absorbed by the planet in those areas as air pollution declined. From this, they estimate that the total change in shipping aerosols increased Earth’s energy imbalance by 0.5 watts per square metre. That is roughly equivalent to the warming effect of a decade of global carbon dioxide emissions at today’s levels.
That additional warming would be enough to account for the unexplained portion of the heat seen over the past two years, they found. But the implications are broader: it would also mean air pollution’s cooling effect has been masking the full extent of greenhouse gases’ warming effect – in other words, the warming experienced to date does not represent the full impact of our emissions.
Hansen and his colleagues warn that this means the climate is much more sensitive than expected to rising levels of greenhouse gases. As a result, they argue, the world is more rapidly approaching climate tipping points, such as the slowdown of key Atlantic Ocean currents and the collapse of the West Antarctic ice sheet. To combat this, they say we should more seriously consider how to cool the planet with interventions like solar geoengineering.
However, the 0.5 watts per square metre number at the core of the new analysis is far higher than other estimates of the warming effect of the change in shipping emissions, says Tianle Yuan at the University of Maryland Baltimore County. But he says it is not completely implausible.
Gavin Schmidt at NASA says the number is “very likely an overestimate” because it assumes all the change in absorbed sunlight is due to the change in shipping aerosols, rather than other changes like less air pollution from China or natural variability.
A change in aerosols may not even be necessary to explain the 2023 spike, says Shiv Priyam Raghuraman at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign – he previously found it can be explained by changes in Pacific Ocean temperatures alone. He says more work is needed to reconcile different estimates of the warming effects of aerosols.

How to Get Back to Trosky in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2? (Answered)
How to Get Back to Trosky in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2? (Answered)
As you play Kingdom Come Deliverance 2, you’ll eventually find yourself being transported into a whole new region – Kuttenberg. You’ll be wheeled over there from Trosky, which is the game’s opening region. While Trosky is large enough to sink a few hours into it, the Kuttenberg region is staggering and will serve as the stomping ground for most of the game.
But once you’ve arrived in Kuttenberg, how do you get back to Trosky? Is it possible to fast travel between Kuttenberg and Trosky in KCD2? I’ve answered those questions and more below, just for you.
How to Get Back to Trosky from Kuttenberg
It couldn’t be easier to travel back to Trosky after arriving in Kuttenberg – but it’ll cost you.
In Kuttenberg, look for this location on the map:
The carriage location isn’t automatically marked on your map – you’ll need to travel past Suchdol to find it. Fortunately, this is the first location you land in when arriving in Kuttenberg, so you’re well-placed to scout the travel point immediately.
If you want to get back to Trosky, you’ll need to head here, find the coachman, and pay him 200 Groschen to cart you back to Trosky. That’s the same for the route back – just look for the same icon in Trosky, pay another 200 Groschen, and travel back to Kuttenberg.
It’s worth stressing that you’ll lose a few days in-game while making the journey, which could cause you to fail some objectives and side quests, so make sure you’ve got nothing time-dependent weighing over you before you leave.
Can You Fast Travel to Trosky?
It’s not possible to look at the map of Trosky while in Kuttenberg, and vice-versa. Given that this is the fundamental requirement for fast-travelling in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2, it stands to reason that no, you can’t fast-travel to Trosky.
Do you need to go back to Trosky?
When I left for Kuttenberg, I thought my escapades in Trosky were finished, but I was wrong. I travelled back to see what was going on and was pleasantly surprised to see that more side quests had popped up in the region.
You’re almost guaranteed to spend hours exploring the vast open-world environment of Kingdom Come Deliverance 2, so I’d be willing to bet you’ll want to head back to Trosky to uncover more secrets, too.
It’s worth stressing that by the time of writing this guide, I haven’t found a cross-territory mission. Each zone is separate from the other, and missions aren’t shared between the two as far as I can see.
That’s all you need to know about how to get back to Trosky from Kuttenberg in KCD2 – happy travels!

In fact, who am I kidding. I suffer from all of them. Many a perfume FRAGRANCE makes me sneeze, MOLD exposure would lay me up with a cold for a week and LATEX would likely give me a rash if I stood within a yard of anyone wearing it. DANDER I had never heard of, but after Googling it I discovered I was allergic to that too – despite owning two cats.
Thankfully, I’m not allergic to bacon or chocolate.

Boston Police detective arrested for drunken driving after ******
Boston Police detective arrested for drunken driving after ******
A Boston Police detective has been arrested and charged with drunken driving in Brookline, where he allegedly crashed into another vehicle while off duty, according to state police and court documents.
Mark McKeown, 52, of Dedham, is charged with one count of operating under the influence of liquor, according to a criminal complaint filed by state police. He was released without bail following his arraignment in Brookline District Court on Tuesday.
McKeown has been placed on administrative desk duty and the department is conducting an internal affairs investigation, Boston Police Sgt. Detective John Boyle confirmed Tuesday.
State Police arrested McKeown on Jan. 25, after a state trooper responded to a two-car ****** in the area of 425 VFW Parkway in Brookline.
When local and state police arrived at the scene, they found McKeown “highly intoxicated,” and police noted in their report that he had “slurred speech, odor of alcohol, glassy and bloodshot eyes.”
The off-duty detective allegedly had rear-ended another vehicle, state police said in their report, which noted McKeown “started yelling profanities” at the other driver, blaming him for the accident.
Boston Police detective Mark McKeown
McKeown told responding officers that he had been coming back from a Boston Bruins hockey game and that “he had 5 alcoholic drinks.”
When a trooper began administering a field sobriety test, McKeown allegedly told him, “Trooper, do you understand who I am?”
When McKeown could no longer complete the test, citing a medical reason, he was placed into handcuffs, state police said.
When he was placed into the rear of a police cruiser, McKeown allegedly called the arresting officer “a ‘Scumbag’ and stated he did not ‘Give a (expletive)’” police noted in their report.
“While trying to advise him of his rights, MCKEOWN shouted over me telling me to ‘Shut the (expletive) up’ and he knew how it works,” the trooper noted in his report.
A witness showed investigators a video recording from his dash camera mounted in his car that showed McKeown’s Grey 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee traveling at a high rate of speed past his vehicle and colliding with the concrete siding of the rotary prior to crashing into the other driver’s vehicle.
McKeown is due back in court on March 5.
This is a developing story. Check back for updates as more information becomes available.

Not exactly a SIXTH sense, more of a hunch, but I just knew there was going to be an X today, so when I got stuck on a word with an “S”, an “I”, and a “T” I took a gamble and it paid off.
This was also a day of double letters and getting the two Es in VERVE helped me across the line.

A software stock with a bright future riding cybersecurity and edge computing trends
A software stock with a bright future riding cybersecurity and edge computing trends
This is one of the stock profiles of StockStory , a fintech investing company seeking to identify long-term ideas that beat the market using an AI-driven approach. Cloudflare (NET) is a software as a service (SaaS) company that got its start by enhancing the speed and security of websites and applications. It has since evolved into a more comprehensive networking platform offering not only performance products but also cybersecurity products, edge computing services, and developer tools. The company reports fourth-quarter 2024 results on Thursday after the market closes. This report is not meant to call the quarter, but instead, to consider the stock over a multi-year *******. We focus our research not on short-term trends or whether a company can beat Wall Street’s expectations in a single quarter. Instead, we focus on a stock’s ability to beat the market over a three to five-year *******. Key Highlights: Once 2024 is reported, Cloudflare will have grown revenue 6x since 2019 while massively improving margins. Long-term, profitable growth is a telltale sign of business quality. Come for the recent deal with Apple to secure AI queries. Stay for the multi-year tailwind from edge computing. In addition to elite fundamentals, these two dynamics make the stock a timely buy. Cloudflare is founder-led and accepted only 0.1% of job applicants in 2023. Simply put, it’s a company with the best people building the best products. Cloudflare has been a great stock since its IPO over five years ago, rising over 6x. The company’s one-of-a-kind global data center footprint allowed it to dominate the content delivery and web/app performance markets. We believe another leg of outperformance will come from this visionary, founder-led business because that same server footprint gives Cloudflare a leg up in edge computing, a massive megatrend. NET ALL mountain Cloudflare, all time What Does Cloudflare Do? Speed and security are paramount in today’s digital world. However, organizations face challenges in achieving these outcomes as their legacy networking solutions, which often include on-premise hardware and scattered point solutions, are neither fast nor secure in this increasingly cloud-first, distributed world. Cloudflare aims to address these problems by building a faster, more secure internet. The company’s product portfolio can be broadly bucketed into three categories. Website and Application Services These products increase connectivity speed and security for websites, applications, and application programming interfaces (APIs). Two of the most important services in this category include its Content Delivery Network (CDN) and Web Applications Firewalls (WAFs). The former helps customers cache and deliver sites, videos, and games from Cloudflare servers closest to its users and devices–this limits latency. The latter protects internet properties from common vulnerabilities. Cloudflare One An enterprise-grade cybersecurity service, this platform is designed for the new world of IT as the migration to the cloud and remote working have rendered the traditional corporate security approach–where all traffic passes through centralized enterprise data centers–increasingly obsolete. Unlike legacy solutions using physical hardware, Cloudflare One meets modern security standards with its cloud-native and Zero Trust approach. Developer-Based Solutions These products allow engineers to build applications on Cloudflare’s highly reliable, global network. The flagship product here is Cloudflare Workers, a serverless computing platform (serverless because Cloudflare owns and manages the servers for the customer). Workers allows developers to run code close to connected devices such as EVs or industrial robots to minimize latency–a key value proposition as hitting the brakes or swinging a two-ton robotic arm half a second too late could be catastrophic. The company delivers its products through its interconnected web of 115+ data centers spanning 330+ cities in over 120 countries. These dispersed access points allow it to efficiently route traffic to idle capacity, reducing cost and latency. This is an impressive, difficult-to-replicate technical feat, and it’s no wonder nearly 20% of the Internet runs on Cloudflare’s network.Cloudflare didn’t begin its journey as a holistic cloud solution. Rather, it was founded in 2010 and featured web/app performance products and a Content ‘Delivery Network that matched web traffic from its customers’ devices to the closest available Cloudflare servers to speed up connection times. Built into its CDN was best-in-class network security, making it a no-brainer for companies such as video streaming providers. Competitive Landscape Today, no single vendor has a complete overlap with Cloudflare’s product portfolio as the company has greatly diversified since expanding beyond website and application services. In this section, we outline a few companies with the most similar services in each of Cloudflare’s product areas. Website and Application Services This segment consists of Cloudflare’s “Act One” products, but it’s still worth reviewing who plays in the CDN, Web Application Firewall (WAF), and Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) markets because they are still on-ramps for many new Cloudflare customers. CDN services are simply about moving data from one point to another, and they are now commoditized products. To stand out, providers must offer the lowest price and/or complementary products. Akamai (NASDAQ:AKAM) and Fastly (NYSE:FSLY) are the dominant CDN providers alongside Cloudflare. In the WAF and DDoS markets, Cloudflare competes again against Akamai and Fastly as well as Fortinet (NASDAQ:FTNT), F5 Networks (NASDAQ:FFIV), and Imperva (acquired by Thales in 2023). Fortinet, F5 Networks, and Imperva are cybersecurity-first platforms, although most have spent the last decade moving away from legacy hardware and shaking the perception of being outdated on-premise solutions. Compared to the field, Cloudflare’s WAF and DDoS products are performant and compete quite well based on the industry publications and user reviews we’ve analyzed–its biggest strength is that it’s a cloud-first platform not encumbered by legacy technology. Most importantly, Cloudflare’s DDoS capabilities are storied and have brought much street cred to the company, as they have stopped some of the largest DDoS attacks on record. Cloudflare One Cloudflare One is a cybersecurity platform anchored by the company’s Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) offering. SASE is a software-based alternative to traditional physical firewalls and the legacy approach to network security where everyone (employees) and everything (devices) is placed neatly on-premise in corporate offices. In SASE, Cloudflare faces competition from Zscaler (NASDAQ:ZS) and Microsoft (NASDAQ:MSFT). Zscaler is the industry’s pioneer and admittedly features the most performant product in the market. Microsoft’s solution is slightly less advanced and less secure but bundled with the broader Microsoft product suite with a world-class logo slapped on. Zscaler may be the best in SASE, but we think the market is big enough to support multiple winners. Legacy providers in this market include Palo Alto Networks (NASDAQ:PANW), Cisco (NASDAQ:CSCO), and Fortinet; they have nearly 1 million customers combined. Zscaler currently has under 10,000, so there’s still plenty of runway for innovative, cloud-first SASE companies to grow their customer counts. Developer-based Solutions The Developer-based Solutions category encompasses edge computing, where Cloudflare mainly competes against industry giants Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud. These businesses dominate the traditional cloud computing market, but they tend to have large, scaled data centers in centralized locations optimized for scale rather than speed. This makes them ideal for customers who have massive data storage or computing power needs where some latency is acceptable. The tradeoff, though, is slower response times. Cloudflare is primed to effectively serve customers who prioritize faster connection speeds, as its server footprint is geographically distributed and difficult to replicate. This footprint was originally established for its CDN business to load content like streaming video with no delay. Today, this footprint allows Cloudflare customers to run workloads closer to the source rather than backhaul to a data center hundreds of miles away. Below is a speed test of Cloudflare Workers versus competing Amazon products AWS Lambda and Lambda@Edge. AWS Lambda response times are in blue, AWS Lambda@Edge times are in green, and Cloudflare Workers are in red. It’s highly encouraging that Workers can outduel the dominant public cloud platform. Why We Love Cloudflare There are many reasons why Cloudflare is a special business, but three dynamics stand out: Intellectual horsepower of its team Go-to-market strategy Profitable growth The Team The talent of Cloudflare’s employees–especially on the engineering side–started with co-founder Lee Holloway, who created a “firewall in the cloud” (hence the Cloudflare name). Impressed by his feat and the company’s mission, which is to “help build a better Internet”, Holloway recruited some of the top minds from Yahoo, Google, and Paypal as his first engineering hires. To this day, Cloudflare’s team consists of the best technical personnel in the world. In 2023, for example, just under 1.2 million people applied for a job at the company. Offers were extended to less than 0.1% of these applicants according to a tweet from CEO Matthew Prince. Over 90% accepted, showing that Cloudflare was their top choice destination. That’s right, 0.1%, not 1%. It’s about 35x easier to get into Harvard than a job at Cloudflare. Go-To-Market This is how Cloudflare sells, upsells, and cross-sells its numerous software and tech products–is the second aspect of its secret sauce. Predictably, the on-ramp for many of the company’s customers is security (DDoS protection, WAFs) or performance (CDN, load balancing that distributes traffic to optimize site performance). Cloudflare smartly goes after these customers with a freemium model that encourages self-serve sign-ups and activation. Since a meaningful volume of new business comes from organic inbounds, this carries little to no customer acquisition cost. From there, Cloudflare converts users to loyal, paying customers who rely on multiple products by introducing services such as Cloudflare One and Cloudflare Workers. This approach has led to breakneck customer growth. As illustrated below, Cloudflare’s revenue has increased nearly 7x over the last five years (2024 results will be reported in early February 2025), growing at an astounding 46% annualized rate. Its customer count shot up impressively as did its revenue per customer, a deadly combination that drives its continued top-line strength. Cloudflare wins new customers and upsells them effectively because innovation is in its DNA. New product velocity is unmatched, and as such, the company’s total addressable market (TAM) expands in multiple areas at the heart of technology megatrends. Profitable Growth Cloudflare’s growth has been profitable as well. During that same five-year *******, anchored by an excellent gross margin consistently nearing 80%, its adjusted operating margin has gone from an eyesore at negative 30% to an encouraging nearly 10%. Its free cash flow margin has also followed a similar trend, going from deeply negative five years ago to a nearly 10% margin in the latest fiscal year. Why Is Now The Right Time to Buy NET? There are two specific reasons why now is the time to buy Cloudflare: a shorter-term catalyst and a long-term market penetration story. The Shorter-Term Catalyst This relates to Apple. On June 10, 2024, Apple launched Private Cloud Compute (PCC), a cloud system for private AI processing. This new service will enable businesses and developers to run cloud workloads on dedicated hardware within Apple’s data centers. A key selling point is that the service will support applications and services developed for Apple’s iOS and macOS operating systems, ensuring that enterprises can easily deploy and manage applications on devices like the iPhone, iPad, and Mac family. Apple’s Security Blog post noted that PCC requests are encrypted through a third party’s OHTTP relay. “Additionally, PCC requests go through an OHTTP relay–operated by a third party–which hides the device’s source IP address before the request ever reaches the PCC infrastructure..” Cloudflare wasn’t named specifically as this third-party provider, but we have reason to strongly suspect that it is the partner for this new offering. Firstly, there is already a Cloudflare/Apple partnership with iCloud Private Relay where Apple acts as the ingress proxy and Cloudflare as the egress proxy using OHTTP technology. Secondly, Cloudflare mentioned its leadership in OHTTP development in its Q2’23 earnings call, including recent customer wins. If Apple didn’t even name its partner, you can probably guess that no economics were discussed. As such, it’s hard to ring-fence the Cloudflare revenue potential from this deal because we need to make a lot of assumptions, but below is our view of a low-end and a high-end estimate. The truth lies somewhere in the middle and may take multiple years to fully ramp, but it is exciting nonetheless since it is over 25% of 2023 total revenue. The Long-Term Opportunity The multi-year or even decade-long tailwind has to do with Cloudflare’s leadership in edge computing. As mentioned in the previous section, Cloudflare Workers is a serverless platform that allows developers to run code close to connected devices such as autonomous vehicles or industrial robots to minimize latency. Edge computing is estimated to be a $15 to $20 billion market today. It is projected to grow at a remarkable 30%+ annualized rate over the next decade. Workers capitalizes on the company’s existing network established for its CDN, load balancing, DDoS, and other performance services. Importantly, this network integrates with over 12,500 networks globally, including major ISPs (internet service providers such as Verizon), cloud services, and enterprises, keeping Cloudflare’s network costs low. There is already strong traction despite Workers’s general availability (GA) only happening in April of this year. It is now used by two million developers, > 70% of AI startups, and > 20% of Cloudflare’s existing customer base. Going forward, we think Cloudflare’s distributed edge network will play a major role in AI inference models, which ingest data and train models for decision making and predictions due to the reasons in the image below. This will be a huge tailwind for Cloudflare’s revenue growth. If we take the midpoint of the current edge computing market in 2023 ($17.5 billion) and apply 30% growth annually, a $65 billion market in five years is implied. If Cloudflare can capture just 3% share, for example, that accounts for about 60% of our projected Cloudflare total revenue increase over five years. This illustrates just how compelling edge computing could be. What Does the Future Hold? We expect continued profitable revenue growth from Cloudflare, powered by its broad and expanding product portfolio that is at the heart of digitization and connectivity. Specifically, we expect its nearly 190,000 customers at the end of 2023 (2024 results will be reported on February 6th, 2025) to grow to over 350,000 by 2028, a mid-teens percentage annualized growth rate. Not only will customer count expand but also the amount of revenue from each customer will grow–according to our projections, its ~$7,400 of revenue per customer in 2023 should nearly double by 2028. Combined, this will lead to a roughly 4x increase in total revenue over that *******. We’re confident more customers will sign on the dotted line because Cloudflare has a history of developing relevant, on-trend products for an increasingly digitized, cloud-first world. These customers will stay and spend more because Cloudflare helps them discover other products and services they need. The more products customers buy from Cloudflare, the more mission-critical the company becomes to these customers, which generally lowers the probability of customer churn. With this growth will come higher profits, especially because it costs much less in sales and marketing expenses to upsell and cross-sell to happy existing customers than it does to convince new customers to try their very first Cloudflare product. Therefore, we think its 9% adjusted operating margin in 2023 can expand to a high-teens percentage by 2028, meaning its 4x increase in revenue over that ******* translates to a 7x increase in profits. Free cash flow margins and dollar increases will follow a similar trend, going from a 9% margin in 2023 to over 20% five years later. Putting it all together, our price target for Cloudflare approaches $200 per share by year-end 2027. This represents a high-teens percentage annualized return and beats the market’s historical average return. Furthermore, we think this price target is very reasonable, as the stock briefly touched $200 per share at the end of 2021 when the business was smaller from a top-line perspective and much less profitable. Why Do We Believe In Company Management? Founder-led companies catch our eye. It’s a bit dated, but the most comprehensive study on the subject concluded that from 1990 to 2014, founder-led public companies performed four times better than all other public companies. Cloudflare went public over five years ago, and the stock price has increased over 6x, trouncing the market (the S & P 500 has roughly doubled over this *******). So far so good, and we think there is more outperformance to come with this leadership team at the helm. Cloudflare is led by CEO Matthew Prince and COO Michelle Zatlyn, both of whom were co-founders. Sadly, Lee Holloway, the third co-founder of the company, had to step away from day-to-day operations due to health issues. Prince and Zatlyn have done very well for themselves both financially and reputationally in the tech world, so the fact that they are still involved speaks volumes about Cloudflare’s potential from here. Prince in particular is a special CEO. He is a thought leader on the Internet, cybersecurity, and the evolution of computing. He is a rare leader who boasts decades of experience in an industry but still sits at the cutting edge of it. He also somehow finds the time to be an interesting follow on X (formerly Twitter). “Show me the incentive and I’ll show you the outcome.” Warren Buffett’s longtime partner and confidant Charlie Munger once said this, and as fundamental investors, we stand firmly behind this. Prince owns over 29 million shares of Cloudflare common stock, worth well over $3 billion. Zatlyn herself owns over 7 million shares worth over $800 million. If shareholders do well, Prince and Zatlyn do very well, and that’s how we like a leadership team’s incentive structure to look. What Are The Key Risks And How Do We Feel About Them? Even the best investments come with risks. We’ve narrowed them down into the three largest: Valuation Competition A breach or outage Valuation The first risk relates to Cloudflare’s lofty multiple. We’re cognizant that the stock is trading at 20x forward revenue. This can lead to jarring near-term swings in stock price, especially as the narrative evolves regarding the Fed’s position on interest rates in 2025. Rates will ebb, and they will flow. The longer an investor holds a high-quality business, the less impact they will feel from these short-term swings (or any other temporal macro factors). As long-term investors, we emphasize economic moats and financial performance more than macro or market dynamics. So while the valuation isn’t cheap, it is justified by its quality, growth, and improving margins. Our model still implies market-beating returns with what we consider reasonable assumptions for future financial performance and valuation. Competition As the company’s growth is increasingly fueled by advanced cybersecurity, edge computing, and developer products rather than the more commoditized content delivery and website/application performance products, it runs into more formidable foes. Our investment thesis is predicated on some level of success in these more nascent product categories, not just the bread-and-butter content delivery, DDoS protection, and web application firewalls (WAF) that Cloudflare made its name with. Should competition prevent the company from scaling these newer offerings, the company and its stock may not grow, get operating leverage, and beat the market in the way we are projecting. As detailed in the ‘Competitive Landscape’ section, we are comfortable, excited even, with how Cloudflare stacks up versus the competition. We’d reiterate that in edge computing, Cloudflare Workers outperforms Amazon AWS’s Lambda family of products, which is no small feat. A Breach or Outage This is a disastrous outcome for any company but especially damaging for a company like Cloudflare that provides performance and security products. If Cloudflare can’t keep its own house in order, the thinking will go, “how can they possibly protect the houses of others?” Look no further than CrowdStrike as an example. While we love the company and the stock has recovered nicely since, the July 19th, 2024 outage caused by its flawed Falcon update was painful. The stock fell roughly 40% from about $390 per share to below $230 in the weeks after. It was a stark reminder of the consequences of a single slip-up after years of building a stellar reputation. Thus far, Cloudflare’s reputation has indeed been stellar. There have been some missteps , but the company has managed to remedy them and generally keep customers happy Who Is This Investment For? Our research indicates that a portfolio of roughly 20 stocks achieves diversification while allowing investors to stay on top of the companies they own. Cloudflare very much deserves a roster spot due to its business quality, supremely talented team, and the exciting opportunities ahead of it. Given its optically high valuation, Cloudflare is certainly an investment for the patient, long-term investor willing to hold the stock for multiple years through some volatility. If all goes right, we would actually never sell this stock as it is a truly special business. We recommend making NET a 5% position, the average size in a 20-stock portfolio. We also suggest averaging into the position over a month or two as prices can decouple from fundamentals, especially with President Trump taking office and the interest-rate outlook still murky as we kick off 2025. Don’t worry—fundamentals always win over the long term, and as always, we’ll let you know how to handle any negative price action in a timely manner. Closing Thoughts Now that we’ve passed Cloudflare’s five-year anniversary as a public company, we marvel at how well the stock has done despite some shorter-term volatility. We think there’s more outperformance to come, driven by nascent areas like cybersecurity and edge computing. We’d also bet that new, momentous products will continue to launch, expanding the company’s market and making its platform more and more of a one-stop shop. Any further questions about Cloudflare? How the world’s richest man laid waste to the US government | Trump administration
How the world’s richest man laid waste to the US government | Trump administration
Since declaring his support for Donald Trump in July of last year and subsequently spending more than $250m on his re-election effort, Elon Musk has rapidly accumulated political influence and positioned himself at the heart of the new administration. Now as prominent as the president himself, he has begun to make use of that power, taking actions that could affect the health of millions of people, gaining access to highly sensitive personal data and attacking anyone who opposes him. Musk, the world’s richest man and an unelected official, has achieved an astonishing level of power over the federal government.
Over the weekend, workers with Musk’s “department of government efficiency” (Doge) clashed with civil servants over demands for unfettered access to the computer systems of major US government agencies in a breakneck series of confrontations. When the dust settled, several top officials who opposed the takeover had been pushed out, and Musk’s allies had gained control.
Musk, with the backing of Trump, is now working to shut down the US Agency for International Development (USAid) – the world’s largest single supplier of humanitarian aid. He bragged on Sunday about “feeding USAid into the wood chipper”. He has also targeted several other agencies in an aggressive attempt to purge and remake the federal government along ideological lines, while avoiding congressional or judicial oversight.
Many of Musk’s actions have taken place without forewarning or transparency, sowing chaos and confusion among the thousands of people employed at the agencies like USAid that he has gone after. Humanitarian organizations that rely on US funding have halted operations and laid off staff, while government workers have been locked out of their offices. He is operating Doge as an unofficial government department with no congressionally approved mandate while he technically holds the position of “special government employee”, which allows him to sidestep financial disclosures and a public vetting process.

Musk has gleefully posted on X, the social media platform that he owns, throughout the chaos. He has accused USAid of corruption, as well as being a “criminal organization” and “radical-left political psy op”, without any evidence. Why? He tweeted an explanation of simply doing Trump’s bidding: “All @DOGE did was check to see which federal organizations were violating the @POTUS executive orders the most. Turned out to be USAID, so that became our focus.” He said it was “time for it to die”.
Musk also suggested that opposition to his team will be punished, reposting a letter sent to him from the Trump-appointed federal prosecutor for Washington DC, who vowed to “pursue any and all legal action against anyone who impedes your work or threatens your people”.
The New York Democratic senator Chuck Schumer wrote on Tuesday morning: “An unelected shadow government is conducting a hostile takeover of the federal government. DOGE is not a real government agency. DOGE has no authority to shut programs down or to ignore federal law.” Musk responded that the reaction was “hysterical”.
As other Democrats and government oversight groups began to respond to the breakneck series of actions from Musk’s team, on Tuesday the Tesla and SpaceX CEO continued to plow ahead with his cuts and told his supporters: “We’re never going to get another chance like this.”
Musk takes over federal agencies
Immediately following Trump’s inauguration on 20 January, the president issued an executive order establishing Musk’s “department of government efficiency”. Rather than create an entirely new entity, the order renamed the US Digital Service, which was previously tasked with updating government IT systems, and brought the rechristened bureau into the executive office of the president.
Government accountability groups instantly saw red flags with its creation, filing four separate lawsuits that alleged Doge violated federal transparency laws while warning that the initiative was “slated to dictate federal policy in ways that will affect millions of Americans”.
The concerns from watchdog organizations have borne out. Musk and employees of Doge have gained access to sensitive government systems in the treasury department and USAid in recent days, as well as exerted control over the office of personnel management (OPM) and the General Services Administration, which handles federal real estate, with the goal of ending office leases. Two federal workers additionally sued on Tuesday for a temporary restraining order against Doge for allegedly operating an ******** server in OPM.

Attempts at blocking Musk’s team have resulted in several top agency officials being ousted. On Friday, the treasury department’s acting secretary, David Lebryk, resigned after refusing to grant Musk’s team access to highly secure systems that control about $6tn in annual payments to millions of Americans. The next day, two senior security officials at USAid attempted to stop Doge workers from gaining physical access to restricted areas at the agency – resulting in a standoff in which a deputy for Musk threatened to call the US marshals. Both security officials have subsequently been put on administrative leave, and on Sunday night staff at USAid received emails telling them to not come into work the next day.
The events unfolded swiftly and took place mostly outside of working hours, creating uncertainty over the weekend as to who was in charge and what authority the Doge team possessed. Many of the Doge team tasked with carrying out the overhauls of government agencies appear to have little to no experience in government and are extremely young. One of the engineers is as young as 19, Wired reported, while a 25-year-old who previously worked at two of Musk’s companies gained access to treasury department payment systems.
The Trump administration has maintained that all Musk’s actions have been legal and did not violate security protocols, although the details of what Doge employees are doing with access to government systems is still unclear. “No classified material was accessed without proper security clearances,” Katie Miller, a Doge spokesperson and wife of the far-right Trump administration official Stephen Miller, wrote on X.
Musk has claimed that his actions are cutting unnecessary costs and will allow for more efficient government, but he has also suggested his taskforce is ideologically opposed to liberal initiatives such as refugee services and the promotion of trans rights. He has routinely engaged with far-right and conspiracy theory-promoting accounts on X while touting his dismantling of USAid, an agency that has become a target in recent years among hardline conservatives. The far-right Heritage Foundation thinktank specifically called for reforming USAid in its controversial Project 2025 report, accusing it of spreading “climate extremism” and “gender radicalism”.

Musk acting with Trump’s backing
Trump has supported Musk’s aggressive approach to dismantling government agencies, confirming plans on Monday to shut down USAid and praising Musk as a “big cost cutter”. As backlash swelled and Democrats issued calls for action against Musk on Monday, Trump attempted to assuage some of the concerns and reassert that he was in charge.
“Elon can’t do and won’t do anything without our approval,” Trump said in the Oval Office. “We’ll give him approval where appropriate and where not appropriate we won’t.”
But there have been no public signs thus far that Trump has reined in Musk’s ambitions or prevented him from engaging in potential conflicts – he has many, as a number of his companies do extensive work with government agencies he now holds sway over. Several of Trump’s recent policy announcements also appeared to align with Musk’s worldview and personal grievances.

Trump declared on Monday that he would shut down all aid to South Africa, Musk’s country of birth, over what he alleged was a “massive human rights violation” in the form of a new land rights law. Musk has repeatedly accused the South African government of racism against white people and falsely claimed that the government is allowing a “genocide” against white farmers.
Another executive order from Trump on 31 January vowed to “unleash prosperity through deregulation” and declared that whenever a government agency issues a new regulation it must first remove 10 existing regulations. The order has echoed Musk’s longstanding calls for widespread deregulation of the federal government, which Musk reiterated in a livestream on Monday night on X, when he stated “regulations, basically, should be default gone”. He described the current administration as “our best shot” at this deregulation and “the best hand of cards we’re ever going to have”.
Musk has made sweeping and aggressive declarations about what else must change about the US government, indicating where he might strike next. He stated on Monday: “Activist judges must be removed from the bench or there is no justice,” and praised the representative Marjorie Taylor Greene for issuing calls for NPR and PBS to testify at a hearing about their operations. Greene, who is head of a “delivering on government efficiency” group within the House oversight committee that aims to support Musk’s efforts, accused the public media organizations of ideological bias – citing a PBS report that Musk “gave what appeared to be a fascist salute” during a speech last month.
It is uncertain what mechanisms may prevent further cuts by Musk. His immense influence coupled with his erratic behavior have made it difficult to quickly ascertain where the next axe may fall, such as on Monday when Musk claimed that a government agency that worked on a free IRS tax filing system was “deleted” while giving no further information. The agency’s program was still online as of Tuesday.
What is clear from Musk’s public statements is the intent to barrel ahead with accumulating more power over government agencies, while framing his crusade as an existential fight for the future of the country.
“It’s now or never,” the billionaire tweeted on Tuesday. “Your support is crucial to the success of the revolution of the people.”

Dame Anna is honoured for her services to fashion
Vogue editor Dame Anna Wintour has “firmly” told King Charles she will not stop working, as she removed her signature sunglasses to receive an award at Buckingham Palace.
Dame Anna, the longest-serving editor-in-chief of Vogue magazine, was made Companion of Honour for her services to fashion.
She was honoured in the 2023 King’s Birthday Honours and joins the likes of Dame ***** Dench, Sir Elton John, David Hockney and Sir Paul McCartney in the select group.
“It makes me even more convinced that I have so much more to achieve,” she said.
Dressed in Alexander McQueen, Dame Anna told reporters on Tuesday she was “completely surprised and overwhelmed” to receive her second accolade at Buckingham Palace.
She was made a dame in 2017 by Queen Elizabeth II, who honoured her for her contribution to fashion and journalism.
“The last time I was here the Queen gave me a medal and we both agreed that we had been doing our job a very long time, and then this morning His Majesty asked me if this meant I was going to stop working and I said firmly, no,” she said.

…and with the dark glasses on again outside Buckingham Palace.
Last month, she also went without her trademark shades as former US President Joe Biden presented her with the Presidential Medal of Freedom – America’s highest civilian honour – at the White House.
The 75-year-old previously told the BBC the glasses are a “prop”.
“They help me be seen and not be seen,” she said.
One of the most significant players in fashion, Dame Anna has been editor-in-chief of Vogue since 1988 and, among other charities, has helped raise more than $20m (£16m) for Aids research.
She has organised annual fundraiser the Met Gala, in New York, since 1995 and has also raised money for *** arts organisations following funding cuts in 2022.
The Order of the Companions of Honour is an exclusive group, limited to 65 people at any one time.
Appointments go to those who have made a long-standing contribution to the arts, science, medicine or government.

Artist Dame Tracey Emin poses for a photo with her medal
Tracey Emin, 61, one of Britain’s most acclaimed artists, was also honoured at the investiture ceremony on Tuesday as she was made a dame.
Speaking afterwards, she said her 2020 bladder ******* diagnosis had made her focus on “helping other people”.
In March 2023 her Tracey Emin Foundation opened its doors in Margate, offering rent-free space to art students.
“I think if you come from an impoverished background, it’s almost impossible to even get your qualifications and get into university,” said Dame Tracey.
“But one thing I would say is: do not be put off by the fees.
“Go to university and worry about it afterwards, because otherwise, if you don’t have the education, you can’t change anything.”
Her notable works include My Bed, an art installation at the Tate Gallery exhibiting her own unmade bed and a floor littered with empty vodka bottles, ********** butts and condoms.
The work, shortlisted for the 1999 Turner prize, sold at auction for £2.2m.

The new DDR5-6400 kit comes with in a 2x16GB dual channel configuration featuring CL28-39-39 primary timings. Compared to G.Skill’s other 6400MHz offerings, this new spec is its tightest one to date. Previously, G.Skill’s 6400MHz kits peaked at CL30. Just like the DDR5-6800 kit, G.Skill’s low-latency 6400MHz counterpart will come in Trident Z5 Royal, Trident Z5 RGB, and Ripjaws M5 RGB flavors.
G.Skill showed its DDR5-6400 CL28 memory spec operating on a Core i9-14900K and an Asus ROG Maximus Z790 Dark Hero running a memory test for over 3 hours with no errors.
As previously mentioned, only the DDR5-6800 modules will be available in multiple memory capacities, going all the way up to 96GB. The DDR5-6400 spec will be offered exclusively in a 32GB capacity (not even a 16GB capacity is planned). These kits are optimized strictly for Intel platforms with XMP 3.0 support, but nothing prevents AMD users from putting these kits inside their DDR5-compatible Ryzen rigs — assuming they’re willing to gamble on stability and put in the effort to manually tweak timings themselves if necessary (especially if the board doesn’t support XMP).
Memory kits sporting both new memory specs will be available worldwide starting in March 2025.

Trump and Netanyahu to meet at the White House today in first foreign leader visit
Trump and Netanyahu to meet at the White House today in first foreign leader visit
President Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu are meeting at the White House and holding a joint press conference Tuesday, the first foreign leader visit of Mr. Trump’s second term.
The ceasefire and hostage deal between Israel and ******, brokered in part by the U.S., is in its second phase, with hostages still remaining in Gaza. Dual citizen Keith Siegal was the first American to be released during the ceasefire and hostage deal’s implementation, although other Americans have been released before.
On Sunday, Netanyahu said he will discuss “victory over ******” with Mr. Trump, as well as countering Iran and building on diplomatic relationships with Arab nations. ****** has reestablished control in Gaza since the ceasefire began, and says it won’t return more hostages without a full withdrawal of Israeli forces.
Mr. Trump told reporters on Monday that he has “no guarantees that the peace is going to hold.”
The president’s meeting with Netanyahu being his first with a foreign leader signals how the Trump White House views the U.S.-Israel relationship.
“Trump is going to continue his support for our great ally, Israel,” national security adviser Mike Waltz said on Fox News Tuesday. “No one did more for Israel as President Trump did in his first term. It is not by accident that Bibi Netanyahu, the prime minister is of Israel, is the first foreign leader that is coming today. And look, we’re going to continue to get our hostages out.”
Waltz said the U.S. and Israel have “more to go” in terms of returning Americans held hostage. And the national security adviser said the U.S. has to think “realistically” about rebuilding Gaza.
“I would push back on the characterization of cleaning out Gaza,” Waltz told reporters Tuesday. “think President Trump is looking at this from a humanitarian standpoint. You have these people that are sitting with literally thousands of unexploded ordnance and piles of rubble. You know, at some point we have to look realistically. How do you rebuild Gaza? What does that look like? What’s the timeline? I think we, a lot of people, were looking at very unrealistic timelines. We’re talking 10, 15, years, not the five years. And so that is what, that’s what we have to work through. That’s part of what we’ll work through with Prime Minister Netanyahu.”
Netanyahu last met with Mr. Trump in July at his Mar-a-Lago estate in West Palm Beach, Florida, while Mr. Trump was still a presidential candidate.

Netanyahu congratulated former President Joe Biden on his win in 2020, something that Mr. Trump long held against him. But the two have worked to repair the relationship in the wake of ******’ Oct. 7, 2023, attack on Israel.

Battlefield 6 Is Reportedly Bringing Back The Portal Platform From 2042
Battlefield 6 Is Reportedly Bringing Back The Portal Platform From 2042
The next installment of the Battlefield series–ostensibly Battlefield 6–is bringing back the acclaimed Battlefield Portal feature from the otherwise critically maligned Battlefield 2042, according to a YouTuber.
Content creator Flakfire said in a video uploaded Monday that he was invited to an online presentation detailing the Battlefield Labs community testing experience. Developers confirmed in the presentation that Portal, a custom-games-mode platform in 2042, is returning in the upcoming Battlefield game, Flakfire said.

Now Playing: Introducing Battlefield Labs | Battlefield Studios
In Battlefield 2042, Portal featured maps, weapons, and vehicles from previous titles in the franchise, namely Battlefield 1942, Battlefield: Bad Company 2, and Battlefield 3. While it is unknown what Portal could include in the next Battlefield game, Flakfire said developers told him that Portal could be one of the features that players test in the Battlefield Labs program.
At the time of 2042’s initial release, publisher Electronic Arts called Battlefield Portal a “love letter” to the franchise’s fans. While the feature provided players and reviewers with a rush of nostalgia at launch, fan reception to the mode became more lukewarm in recent years.
At least prospective players of Battlefield 6 may have the opportunity to have a say in what the next iteration of Battlefield Portal looks like if they sign up for Battlefield Labs. EA said that interest in the testing program has “exceeded [its] expectations” to the point where fans are running into issues with the sign-up ****** page. EA said it is resolving the technical issues, and the first Battlefield Labs test sessions are due to begin “in the coming weeks.”

Despite Being in Different Genres, Marvel Rivals and Destiny 2’s Gambit Share a Very Frustrating Problem
Despite Being in Different Genres, Marvel Rivals and Destiny 2’s Gambit Share a Very Frustrating Problem
Marvel Rivals has had a very successful two months since its initial launch back in December 6, 2024 – following which it has managed to amass a sizable player base. After breaking records on SteamDB for the most active number of players accounted for, Rivals faces a rather peculiar problem.
The problem appears to be stagnation, and Rivals gets too cozy with its current state of the game. In particular, the game has fewer maps than one would like – which is also a sore point for Destiny 2’s Gambit game mode as well.
Marvel Rivals has a very basic set of maps which feel quite repetitive
Marvel Rivals’ game design can be quite repetitive | Image Credit: Netease Games
One of the common themes for Marvel Rivals is repetition, which extends well beyond certain sections of the game. For instance, the game has a very basic selection of maps which have not been updated since the game’s launch at all.
While these maps feel perfectly fine to play, a bit more variety would be much appreciated. Newer maps would engage the players base, and help retain them for longer.
Releasing new, playable characters one after the other is not a good way to go about the issue, given that the arena gets stale so quickly.
Many players would attest to the same, as seen on a Reddit post from the r/marvelrivals subreddit. These complaints do not seem to be limited to the maps not being updated since launch though – it also extends to the other issues as well.
Yeah. It’s irritating how I’m constantly getting the same maps back to back in a single session
Rivals has a strange tendency of reusing the same map for multiple matches which gets really frustrating quickly. This could, admittedly, be solved by the use of map change options, by the use of player votes.
Map vetoing could help a great deal | Image Credit: Netease Games
They need to implement map voting or vetoing
Another thing to note is that this repetition might be attributed to color profiles as well – after all, Rivals has a very similar color palette across its maps, which could contribute to the repetitive visual makeup of the otherwise gorgeous game.
I think their issue is not variety. Its color palate.
Destiny 2 also faces a similar problem
Destiny 2’s Gambit mode is often hated | Image Credit: Bungie
The Gambit mode of Destiny 2 also faces similar critique. Anyone following the game will know that Gambit remains one of the most hated modes in Destiny 2, and for good reason – it is just too wonky to be functional.
There is a strong lack of team coordination in Gambit, which is also a problem with Marvel Rivals. Proper synchronization of teams is necessary for victory, instead of having everyone pick a DPS without restrictions of the sort.
Another issue is the lack of balance between PvP and PvE game modes, with many criticisms drawn toward its lackluster PvE elements, which barely has any effect on the overall outcome of the match.
Most importantly though, the maps are repetitive, and just are not varied enough to be fun anymore. The player base has become exhausted with the state of Gambit, and many prefer not to participate in it.
In the end, Netease Games needs to step up and address this issue quickly, and it is hoped that Season 2 will bring a few more maps inspired from iconic Marvel locations.

Walking With Horses in Nannup offers ‘bush bathing’ for mental and physical wellbeing
Walking With Horses in Nannup offers ‘bush bathing’ for mental and physical wellbeing
Walking with wild-born horses in Nannup is helping people get in touch with nature to improve their wellbeing.
This form of “bush bathing” is akin to the Japanese practice of shinrin yoku, inviting people to immerse themselves in the nature sessions.
Katherine Waddington from Wadi Farm HerdLife runs Walking With Horses sessions and said the purpose was to help others reconnect with themselves.
“In the last five years or so, the practice of forest bathing has been out there and become very popular,” she said.
“In the modern world, the modern human is losing their ability to understand their own behaviour, let alone recognise and understand behaviour of others about them, and that’s other humans as well as other animals.
“There’s more and more an underlying current of anxiety in society generally.
“We’re so out of touch with ourselves and with our own behaviour, because society (and) the pressure of constantly doing is stopping us from being.
“It’s just that people need to take a break and step away from that, and get into a space where they can reconnect with themselves.”
Horses, Ms Waddington said, and particularly wild-born rescue horses, helped others get “in touch” with themselves.
The practice of Shinrin Yoku, or forest bathing and immersion, stems from Japan and South Korea, with Ms Waddington saying she aimed to combine the idea with walking near on-lead and off-lead horses, inspired by years of rehabilitating wild horses.
She said on the walks people also enjoyed wildlife on the property such as kangaroos, birds, and emus.

Aussie migration misperceptions can be changed
Aussie migration misperceptions can be changed
Many Australians misunderstand migration and want to lower the number of people coming to the country, but their minds can be changed, a study has found.
The *********** National University survey revealed Australians believe the proportion of migrants from the Pacific to be three times the actual figure.
People also think the number coming from the Middle East is double what it is and they greatly overestimate the unemployment rate among immigrants.
“We find substantial and contradictory misperceptions,” the report said.
The survey of 5000 people also revealed Australians tended to prefer less immigration, but this is not set in stone, lead author Alyssa Leng said.
“Australia has a lot to learn about migrants,” she told AAP.
“It’s important that a preference for lower migration is not taken as given, but as a starting point that people are willing to move from.”
When Australians were shown news articles about immigrants improving housing affordability, support for immigration increased by four to seven per cent, whereas stories about negative impacts of migration decreased support by about five per cent.
While quantitative facts about immigrants could also change *********** minds, the study found migration narratives, were more effective at changing public opinion.
This means it is very important for the media to accurately report on both figures and the more emotive parts of their stories, as this could stabilise opinions and improve the quality of public debate, Ms Leng said.
Though most respondents generally did not support increasing migration, there were some key exceptions.
High-skilled immigration enjoyed strong backing as did migration from the Pacific, which meant the government could expand programs with nations like Tuvalu.
Even though the federal government has committed to cutting international student intakes, the survey also found most respondents did not support a reduction in student visas and many called for the numbers to stay the same.
