Town-by-town snow totals through Saturday afternoon
Town-by-town snow totals through Saturday afternoon
Our late week winter storm is officially underway and it continues to drop accumulating snow for many of us today. That snow will mix with freezing drizzle and sleet this afternoon before another boundary swings through Friday. Friday’s boundary will provide us with additional mountain snow showers and valley flurries. When checking out these local snowfall totals from the North Country to the Upper Valley, please keep in mind that they include today and tomorrow’s snowfall.
Northern New York will cash in on a widespread 2 to 4 inches of fresh powder, but the mountains will receive the most. The northern Adirondacks and higher elevations surrounding the Tri-Lake Region will receive 4 to 8 inches of snow through Saturday afternoon. Meanwhile, there will be some lower lying elevations across northern New York where it’s only a dusting to 2 inches.
Northern Vermont will average a widespread 2 to 4 inches in the valleys with 4+ inches for the northern Greens including Stowe and Jay Peak. Localized totals of 6 to 12 inches are possible across the highest peaks and summits of the northern Greens.
Southern Vermont and the Upper Valley will tap in to the most widespread 2 to 4 inches in the valleys. The Route 9 corridor from Bennington into Windham counties will average 4 to 8 inches through Saturday afternoon.

‘Tragic incident’
The backstory
Officials with Orange County Fire Rescue said they responded to 911 reports of an incident between a car and a person around 11:20 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 2, at Orlando Speed World.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Rodriguez lost control of her Junior Dragster Racecar while racing on Sunday. As a result, she hit a safety guide employee and then struck a concrete wall. The safety guide employee, a 34-year-old Orlando man, was transported to Orlando Regional Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
Rodriguez was transported to Arnold Palmer Hospital, where she died on Wednesday.
Who was Elienisse Zoe Diaz Rodriguez?
According to a GoFundMe page, the young girl was racing in the hope of fulfilling her dream of being a junior dragster.
Faculty and staff have confirmed Rodriguez was a first-grade student that attended Eastland Christian School off Lake Underhill Road in Orlando.
What is Orlando Speed World?
Orlando Speed World, located in Orange County, is a longtime destination for the Orlando World Street Nationals, drag racing and other events.
The track is located at 19164 East Colonial Drive, Orlando.

Giuliano Simeone: How El Cholo’s son emerged as key to Atletico Madrid
Giuliano Simeone: How El Cholo’s son emerged as key to Atletico Madrid
Giuliano was born in Rome while his father was playing for Lazio, but returned to Argentina when still young.
When he was eight years old, spending time with his dad in the coastal resort of Mar del Plata, Simeone senior took that call from Atletico Madrid.
He explained to The Coaches’ Voice, external: “I told him: ‘Look, the chance has come to go to Atletico Madrid and I don’t know what to do.’ And he says to me: “Are you going to manage Falcao? Falcao was there then. ‘Are you going to play against Messi? Against Ronaldo?’.
“The kid was saying all this to me and I would say ‘yes’. And, in between dipping the croissant in the milk, he said to me: ‘Dad, but if you do well, you won’t come back.’ On the one hand that’s lucky. But, on the other, it’s unlucky, because I don’t get to see my kids growing up.”
Now, however, Simeone has been joined by all three of his sons in Europe. Giuliano and Gianluca, who plays for fourth-tier Rayo Majadahonda, are in Madrid, while Giovanni, the eldest, plays for Napoli.
Forlan, whose father Pablo was also a Uruguay international, says it is natural they wanted to follow in his footsteps.
“It’s part of your DNA, in your blood,” he explains. “You have been brought up focusing on football. You have seen your father play, seen your father travel.
“Simeone, as a father, has the opportunity to manage his son and no one is saying ‘oh no, his son is playing there because his father is a coach’.
“No. He is having great performances and that will be of great satisfaction for himself and for his father.”
Continue his recent form in his first Madrid derby on Saturday, and the red-and-white half of the Spanish capital will all share in that satisfaction, too.

White House preparing order to cut thousands of federal health workers, WSJ reports
(Reuters) -The White House is working on an executive order to fire thousands of U.S. Department of Health and Human Services workers, the Wall Street Journal reported on Thursday, citing people familiar with the matter.
White House on Thursday denied it is drafting an executive order to cut workers across federal health agencies.
According to the Wall Street Journal, under the order, which could come as soon as next week, the Food and Drug Administration, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and other health agencies would have to cut a certain percentage of employees.

Officials have been told to prepare lists of probationary workers who have essential roles and must be retained and those who don’t, the newspaper reported.
The report comes after the Trump administration last week offered 2 million civilian full-time federal workers an opportunity to stop working this week and receive pay and benefits through Sept. 30 as President Donald Trump seeks to slash the size of the government.
The Department of Health and Human Services employs over 83,000 people, according to the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.
Agencies within the department are task with an array of functions, including tracing the current bird flu outbreak and other viruses.

Kookaburras dominate but Spanish have last laugh
Kookaburras dominate but Spanish have last laugh
The Kookaburras couldn’t convert any of their nine penalty corners and a clinical Spain made them pay in a shootout Pro League victory in Sydney.
Fresh off an upset of Olympic champions the Netherlands on Thursday, Australia’s regenerated outfit showed plenty of enterprise under new coach Mark Hager in front of a healthy crowd at the Olympic Park.
But they only had one Ky Willott goal to show for it, his third in as many Pro League games in Sydney coming after Spain’s Pau Cunill opened the scoring with a drag flick in the second term.
Davis Atkin had a chance to put Australia ahead but his close-range effort smacked into the post, shortly before the player himself clattered into the woodwork.
The hosts scrambled to fulltime at 1-1 with two players in the sin bin before Spain were faultless in a 3-0 shootout masterclass.
Cooper Burns and Craig Marais had possession swatted away by Spanish goalkeeper Luis Calzado before a spinning Connar Otterbach sent his effort wide.
Spain were ruthless, Kookaburras ‘keeper Mitch Nicholson helpless as Xavier Gispert calmly chipped his backstick effort into the top corner, Cunill holding his nerve and a spinning Marc Reyne doing what Otterbach couldn’t.
The result followed a 2-1 loss to Spain on Wednesday but offered plenty of upside considering only nine of the 22 who played in last year’s Paris Olympics quarter-final defeat remain.
Rookie Liam Henderson has been a standout in his first series, impressing with his ability to beat defenders and break lines.
Out to earn one of the few remaining full-time spots in Hager’s 2025 squad, forward Jack Welch’s workrate was rewarded with an intercept that led to the Willott goal.
“I’m enjoying every minute,” Willott said.
“The eight debutants are doing unreal so far and they’re soaking it up with Mark Hager at the helm; it’s been really enjoyable.”
The Hockeyroos, who have won both games against Spain and China this week, are still to play in Sydney on Saturday night.
The Kookaburras complete their Sydney duties against the Netherlands on Sunday before the Pro League moves to Argentina, for Tests against the host nation and Belgium, later this month.

The Perseverance Mars rover has collected a rock sample on Mars unlike any other it has picked up so far.
NASA’s Perseverance rover is currently exploring hills and rocky outcrops along the rim of Jezero Crater, where it has been collecting rock samples to reveal the area’s geological history. This week, NASA announced that the robotic explorer picked up a “one-of-a-kind treasure” in the form of a 1.1-inch (2.9-centimeter) rock sample from an area known as “Silver Mountain.”
“My 26th sample, known as ‘Silver Mountain,’ has textures unlike anything we’ve seen before,” the rover’s official X account posted along with a photo of the sample.
The rocks in this area are of immense scientific interest as they could offer a “rare window into Mars’ deep past,” NASA wrote in the statement.
The rocks in Perseverance’s current area are believed to have been thrust up to the Red Planet surface from deep inside the planet after an ancient impact billions of years ago.
These rocks are believed to be pieces of the early Martian crust, and could be “among the oldest rocks found anywhere in the solar system,” NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory wrote in a statement. Studying them could help us understand what Mars and even Earth were like early in our solar system’s formation.
NASA says this is the first sample from the Noachian age, a ******* of Mars’ geological history around 4 billion years ago marked by frequent asteroid and comet impacts that shaped many of the craters will still see on the Red Planet today.
A photograph of a “Silver Mountain” rock sample collected by NASA’s Perseverance Mars Rover as it explores the rim of Jezero Crater. | Credit: NASA/JPL-Caltech
Perseverance landed on Mars in 2021 near Jezero Crater with several objectives in mind: scour the area for possible signs of ancient life, collect rock samples like “Silver Mountain” for an eventual return to Earth for study, and to test new exploration technologies.
One of those technologies was the plucky Ingenuity helicopter, a robotic flyer that was designed to make five test flights. It ended up taking to the Red Planet skies a total of 72 times before it suffered rotor damage, ending its mission.
Over the course of its four years on Mars, Perseverance has discovered rocks that show possible chemical evidence of having interacted with water at some point in their geological history. Water, at least on Earth, is essential for life.

While scientists are eager to return this and other samples to Earth so that they can be studied in-depth, the fate of the Mars Sample Return program is still unknown due to rising costs and mission complexity.
After cost projections rose to $11 billion and the sample return timeline was extended to no earlier than 2040, NASA began overhauling the plan entirely and has since sought new proposals from industry and academia. The agency will decide on a new strategy in 2026.
China, meanwhile, is aiming to launch its own Mars sample return mission in 2028, which would potentially have samples back on Earth by 2031.

IBM best Dow stock in past 3 months but has disappointing AI message
IBM best Dow stock in past 3 months but has disappointing AI message
IBM has been the best-performing stock in the blue-chip Dow Jones Industrial Average over the past three months, climbing 27%, but according to Scott Nations, president and chief investment officer of Nations Indexes, the original tech stock has more to prove in artificial intelligence. Nations appeared on CNBC’s “Power Lunch” on Wednesday to share his views on three stocks on the move lately. He said he is taking a wait-and-see approach to IBM after a strong run. Here were his quick takes during “Three-Stock Lunch.” IBM IBM last week reported fourth-quarter results whose earnings and revenue topped Wall Street estimates. The tech firm said software revenue grew 10% to $7.9 billion from the year-earlier *******, partially due to demand for AI technology and strong performance from its Red Hat Linux operating system. Still, Nations said there are nagging worries about the stock despite IBM’s robust earnings. IBM shares touched an all-time on Wednesday. IBM is “approaching AI differently than some of the other big names, taking more of the DeepSeek approach; we’re going to have to see if that works for them,” Nations said. “So I’m holding until we get a little bit more clarity.” China’s DeepSeek shook global stock markets after revealing that it had built a powerful AI model for just $6 million. Some have disputed the shockingly low cost of developing the AI models, while others believe DeepSeek has sharply cut the cost of running powerful AI models and that the firm’s decision to release its technology for free has altered the course of the industry. In a statement, IBM CEO Arvind Krishna said the company has secured $5 billion in bookings for its generative AI business, which includes sales and future sales in the company’s software and consulting division. “We closed the year with double-digit revenue growth in Software for the quarter, led by further acceleration in Red Hat,” Krishna said in a statement. “Clients globally continue to turn to IBM to transform with AI.” Uber Nations is buying the dip in Uber after the ride-hailing company sold off sharply Wednesday following a quarterly earnings miss and soft guidance about future results. The money manager likes the fact that Uber is accelerating stock repurchases. Uber also announced it is gearing up for the public launch of robotaxi rides in Austin, Texas, through its partnership with Alphabet’s Waymo division. Uber estimates that the autonomous vehicle market in the U.S. alone is a trillion-dollar opportunity, but CEO Dara Khosrowshahi said it will take “many, many years” to build out the business. Even with the company’s “aggressive investments” in the technology, it is unlikely to affect Uber’s outlook in the near term, he said. Mattel Mattel’s shares soared 14% to a 52-week high Wednesday after the Barbie maker posted better-than-expected fourth-quarter results. Mattel reported profits of 35 cents per share, excluding one-time items, on revenue of $1.65 billion. Analysts polled by LSEG forecast 20 cents per share on revenue of $1.63 billion. Nations said he would buy the stock if it dips below $20 per share. Mattel briefly traded as low as $20.18 Wednesday morning. He added that investors could be cheering on the toymaker’s increased stock buyback authorization. “What really gets people interested are the stock buybacks — $600 million in 2023 and 2024 combined, another $600 million this year,” Nations said.

Even Fortnite Has a Sukuna Bias with How Dirty They Did Toji in the New ‘Jujutsu Kaisen’ Collab
Even Fortnite Has a Sukuna Bias with How Dirty They Did Toji in the New ‘Jujutsu Kaisen’ Collab
Fortnite’s latest collaboration with Jujutsu Kaisen has got everyone hyped and for good reasons. If you are a JJK fan and also play Fortnite then it’s a dream come true for the likes of you. Surely you would then love to run around the battlegrounds, fighting enemies as Sukuna or Mahito yourself!
Also, the new skins are actually pretty good, which would obviously make fans love playing it. But it’s an anime x game collaboration we are talking about, which has a pretty dire track record in the past. Something must go wrong, right?
Fortnite Crossover Jujutsu Kaisen Logos
So, it turns out even Fortnite is pretty biased toward Sukuna, and others but not Toji! There’s nothing wrong with Sukuna being a fan favorite, but what’s up with the apparent shade thrown at Toji Fushiguro? The poor guy can’t even get a break in the Fortnite universe!
Fortnite did dirty to our boy Toji!
Toji Fushiguro from Fortnite x Jujutsu Kaisen collab | Credits: Epic Games
The latest Fortnite collaboration with Jujutsu Kaisen has taken the Toji fans completely off guard. While most of the skins are pretty great and all, it seems they did our boy, Toji, really dirty for no reason. Compared to slick and fashionable Mahito or Sukuna’s skins, Toji’s outfit falls flat onto the ground.
come on guys pic.twitter.com/oN7Ljtd459
— Sigmatic (@sigmatic_) February 8, 2025
Of course, people always preferred Sukuna and Mahito over Toji, but why did even Fortnite encourage this sentiment? Although they simply tried to go with the Shibuya Incident arc Toji, rather than his iconic Hidden Inventory arc form, it’s still pretty underwhelming for putting this skin out first.
Giving Toji such mediocre skin to start with was pretty devastating for his fandom, as the hatred from people started mounting up on social platforms. Poor Toji deserved better, and the game should’ve given him the HI arc skin, instead of the rather forgettable Shibuya outfit.
Fans are furious over Fortnite’s appalling Toji-skin design
Toji’s in-game weapon, Inverted Spear of Heaven | Credits: Epic Games
It turns out the new Fortnite x Jujutsu Kaisen collab has raised quite an outrage from the fans, and this is the fact that Toji’s introductory skin design does not seem as impressive as fans wished it to be.
Looks like I’m not getting him smh they did toji dirty
— crissy (@crissylove1231) February 8, 2025
Literally the biggest fumble
— Aidan Killgo (@AidanKillgo) February 8, 2025
This feels particularly disappointing if you compare Toji’s skin with the rest of the collab skins. Sukuna’s skin, on the other hand, is just fire, and also Mahito’s skin looks pretty cool, but why not with Toji’s?
They did give him his pickaxe and also his Inventory Curse worm, but still, he lacked the proper style that Sukuna or Mahito had. People are also claiming that he didn’t even have an emote of his own, unlike other characters from this collab!
The other skins are fine. Sukuna could have gotten another style but the base is fire. But Toji absolutely needed styles cause that man looks boring as hell.
— Bryan Castillo (@shinypokemon48) February 8, 2025
We were robbed of a much better style and pickaxe AND back bling and he doesn’t even come with an emote either…

This feels like a lost opportunity! The collab could have easily given the deserved spotlight to our boy who has captured everyone’s heart in the anime, but now it seems more like a great L for the fans. People are letting out their dissatisfaction on social media, and clearly, Fortnite needs to be more careful with their game when it comes to iconic characters like Toji.

Scientists make ‘rare advance’ in tackling the oldest unsolved problem in physics

Scientists have made a leap forward in understanding the pattern and structure of turbulence — a natural phenomenon observed in fluids such as moving water, ocean currents, chemical reactions, blood flow, storm clouds, plumes of smoke and even the plasma of stars.
While turbulent flow is chaotic and irregular, as a fluid’s movement causes larger vortices or eddies to form and break down into smaller ones, physicists have long attempted to study and model the process using mathematical equations and computers. However, even with modern supercomputers, a direct and accurate simulation of all but the simplest turbulent flows remains out of reach, and a complete understanding of turbulence has eluded researchers for some 200 years.
Now, an international team of scientists has pioneered a new approach to simulating turbulence that deploys a quantum computing-inspired method, described in a study published January 29 in the journal Science Advances.
The ability to accurately model and predict the phenomenon could have many practical applications in science and engineering, potentially improving the design of airplanes, cars, propellers, artificial hearts and making weather prediction more accurate, said the study’s lead author Nik Gourianov, a researcher in the department of physics at the University of Oxford.
“Turbulence was and still is an unsolved problem in the sense that we cannot exactly simulate realistic flows on computers, i.e. we still need a wind tunnel to design an aircraft wing. But advances such as ours ‘chip away’ at the problem and push the frontier,” Gourianov said.
Most prior approaches to simulating turbulence relied on a deterministic strategy, which with a specific set of initial conditions always produces the same results, Gourianov explained. Instead, the new research modeled the fluctuations in turbulence probabilistically, an approach that takes into account random variation.
The team applied a quantum computing-inspired algorithm to turbulent flows, allowing them to compute in a few hours what would take a classical algorithm several days to do on an entire supercomputer.
Quantum computers process information in a fundamentally different way from classical computers. Traditional computers do calculations using bits: data that exists in one state at a time, a one or a zero. Quantum computers use quantum bits (or “Qbits), which can be zeros, ones or any combination of both. The study authors used a mathematical tool called tensor networks that can be used to simulate a quantum system.
James Beattie, a postdoctoral research associate and fellow in the department of astrophysical sciences at Princeton University in New Jersey, said that, by representing data with many variables in a simpler way, the team had been able to speed up complex calculations necessary to begin to understand turbulence. Beattie was not involved in the research.
“The simulation they are running is a fluid simulation of two different chemicals mixing and reacting. By using this representation, it means that this rather complex calculation can use significantly less memory, allowing it to be run on a laptop,” Beattie added.
“Seeing advances like this (a million times better utilization of memory and a thousand times speed-up in computation) is rare, making this an exciting advancement in the modeling of turbulence,” he said.
The mystery of turbulence
While the latest study is “amazing progress,” it is not the full story, Beattie added, noting that it doesn’t address issues of scale, or how turbulent vortices of different sizes relate to one another.
“Turbulence, as the authors say, is a multi-scale problem, i.e., turbulence can span from thousands of lightyears to less than a foot,” he said via email. “We want to know how these scales talk to each other.”
“This is an aspect that makes simulating turbulent fluids so challenging — we want to resolve many, many scales in the simulation, which take up lots and lots of memory and computation, which means putting these simulations on large supercomputers,” Beattie said.
The new research is “highly impressive,” said Yongxiang Huang, a researcher and associate professor at State Key Laboratory of Marine Environmental Science & College of Ocean and Earth Sciences at Xiamen University in southeastern China.
Gourianov and team have come up with a novel method that significantly reduces memory usage and computational complexity, Huang, who was not involved in the study, said. However, he agreed it did not paint a complete picture, which he said was extremely difficult because of the broad range of scales involved.
Turbulence has been described as the oldest unsolved problem in physics. The ******* theoretical physicist Werner Heisenberg allegedly said on his deathbed, “When I meet God, I am going to ask him two questions: Why relativity? And why turbulence? I really believe he will have an answer for the first.”
Gourianov said that the computational advantage of the new technique revealed by the study opens up new, previously inaccessible areas of turbulence physics for scientific investigation, although the findings don’t really mean the mystery of turbulence had been unraveled. That, he said, would require drastically new algorithms or computing hardware relative to what is available now.
“Many (exceptionally talented and gifted) scientists have looked at this problem, yet we are still not even close to solving it,” Gourianov said.

Gutsy Jets stun Victory for big A-League Men upset
Gutsy Jets stun Victory for big A-League Men upset
A-League Men battlers Newcastle have claimed an upset 3-0 win over Melbourne Victory, running riot in an extended added time to breathe new life into their season.
Skipper Kosta Grozos scored from the penalty spot in the 99th minute after Mitch Langerak clipped Lachie Rose over the head with his right arm as he came off his line attempting to clear the ball.
The contact, in the 80th minute, was initially waved away but after a VAR review, a penalty was awarded two minutes later.
The penalty was delayed by more than 17 minutes due to a medical emergency in the crowd, but Grozos kept his nerve to score.
Clayton Taylor latched onto a wonderful ball from Charles M’Mombwa and finished with aplomb to make it 2-0 in the 104th minute.
Rose tapped home a lovely cross from Kota Mizunuma in the 110th minute to seal Newcastle’s first home win of the season at McDonald Jones Stadium.
After two wins on the bounce, Victory’s woes from earlier in the season resurfaced – with Arthur Diles’ charges dominating early chances but paying the price of failing to put them away.
Victory (25 points) sit fourth behind Western United on goal difference, six points behind second-placed Adelaide United and eight back from leaders Auckland FC,while the Jets (15) are nine points out of the top six.
Newcastle goalkeeper Noah James, playing his first ALM game since one appearance in August 2020, was the difference in the first half, making five saves.
James denied Victory dynamo Zinedine Machach in the 12th minute and Adama Traore in the 23rd.
Machach forced another excellent save two minutes later and Nishan Velupillay blasted over the bar in the 29th minute.
Newcastle scored in the 33rd but Thomas Aquilina was offside, before James denied Brazilian attacker Santos in the 39th minute.
Jets defender Phillip Cancar limped off in the 42nd minute but Newcastle came out of the break with added impetus and Taylor dragged a strike just wide of the far post almost immediately.
Rose thought he had opened the scoring in the 54th minute, but Eli Adams was just offside in the build-up.
But the Jets never stopped pressing and ran out the game, that ultimately lasted almost 115 minutes, in style.

Ye makes offensive comments against Jewish community, says he has ‘dominion’ over his wife in tirade on X
Ye makes offensive comments against Jewish community, says he has ‘dominion’ over his wife in tirade on X
Rapper Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, appeared to write a barrage of posts Friday morning on X, making offensive comments about the Jewish community and saying he has “dominion” over his wife.
A slew of posts were made on the 47-year-old artist’s account — many of them derogatory and self-boasting — started around 4 a.m. PT (7 a.m. ET). NBC News attempted to reach out to Ye’s representatives for comment on the posts.
Many of Ye’s posts centered on the Jewish community, the most severe of which said, “I love Hitler” and “I’m a Nazi.”
In an early post, he wrote, “I’m never apologizing for my Jewish comments. I can say whatever the f— I wanna say forever. Where’s my f—— apology for freezing my accounts.”
He followed that with saying Jewish people “don’t run me no more.” In one post, he wrote: “Some of my best friends are Jewish and I don’t trust any of them,” followed by a laughing crying emoji. In another, he posted “I’m buying two Maybachs tomorrow” adding “Ima make the Jewish person who’s selling it to me read all these tweets and I bet you you see me whipping Maybachs.”
“I’m racist stereo types (sic) exist for a reason and they all be true,” he wrote in another post.
“I don’t even know what the f— anti Semitic means. It’s just some bull—- Jewish people made up to protect their bull—-,” the rapper said in a separate post.
In another post, he wrote “All white people are racist” and “Jewish people actually hate white people and use ****** people.”
Another said: “I love when Jewish people come to me and say they can’t work with me anymore its my fav.”
Ye has had his X, previously known as Twitter, account suspended at least twice in the past.
His account was suspended in December 2022 after he made antisemitic comments and praised Hitler. Musk, the owner of X, said at the time Ye’s account would be suspended after he posted an image that appeared to show a swastika inside a Star of David. Musk said the suspension was “for incitement to violence.” The account was unsuspended by July 2023.
In October 2022, Ye’s account was restricted over antisemitic comments but he returned to the platform the following month. In that case, he also made antisemitic remarks that led to Adidas cutting ties with the rapper.
Ye’s Friday morning maelstrom of posts also touched on other topics, including his wife, Elon Musk and Sean “Diddy” Combs.
He spoke on the look of his wife, Bianca Censori, at the Grammy’s — a see-through dress — writing: “I have dominion over my wife. This ain’t no woke as feminist s—.”
Ye and Bianca Censori at the Grammy Awards on Sunday.
“She’s with a billionaire. Why would she listen to any of you dumb a– broke broke b——. People say the red carpet look was her decision. Yes I don’t make her do nothing she doesn’t want to but she definitely wouldn’t have been able to do it without my approval you stupid a– woke pawns. I have no respect or empathy for anyone living cause no one living can f— with me but I do love some people and I give them favor.”
In another post on politics, he said then-Vice President Kamala Harris was “just being used for what they call ‘the ****** Vote.’”
One post seemed to support Combs, who previously went by the name Puff Daddy.
“My support of Puff is completely selfish. I need to find whoever been trying to out ****** moguls,” Ye wrote.
Combs, who is in federal custody and being held in Brooklyn, was indicted in the Southern District of New York in September on charges of sex trafficking, racketeering and transportation to engage in prostitution. Combs has denied all the allegations against him to date, which include the federal criminal case and more than 30 civil lawsuits filed against him.
Ye also said that every post he writes “promotes Elon’s platform.” Another post on Musk said: “Elon stole my Nazi Swag at the Inauguration.”
During his speech at the post-inauguration rally, Musk said the 2024 election “really mattered” and thanked the crowd “for making it happen,” before placing his right hand on his chest and then extending his arm, palm facing down, at an upward angle. He then turned around and made the same gesture and said, “My heart goes out to you. It is thanks to you that the future of civilization is assured.”
Musk later referred to allegations that he performed a Nazi salute as “pure propaganda” and “dirty tricks.”
Less incendiary, several posts on Ye’s account just appeared to stoke his own ego.
He wrote: “I am above any other celebrity that’s ever existed. I look down on them and they look up to me,” calling himself the “top.”
Another post said, “All rappers want my spot” and “every rapper living wanna be me every rapper living wish they was Ye.”
Ye’s tirade was condemned by Anti-Defamation League CEO Jonathan Greenblatt.
“Here we go again. Another egregious display of antisemitism, racism and misogyny from Ye on his X account this morning. Just a few years ago, ADL found that 30 antisemitic incidents nationwide were tied to Kanye’s 2022 antisemitic rants,” Greenblatt said. “We condemn this dangerous behavior and need to call it what it is: a flagrant and unequivocal display of hate.”
