Brittany Higgins announces baby news with partner David Sharaz in adorable Instagram post
Brittany Higgins has announced the birth of her baby boy on Instagram on Sunday.
The former political advisor revealed in the caption she had welcomed her first child with her partner David Sharaz into the world on Saturday night.
“Last night we welcomed our little boy into the world. ,” the 30-year-old wrote alongside a picture of the bub with his face covered.
“A huge thank-you to the amazing midwives, nurses and doctors for their care and kindness.
“We’re both looking forward to getting to dote on the newest member of the family — forever grateful for all the love and support we’ve received. ”
Despite only being up for 30 minutes, the post’s comments were flooded with congratulations.
“Congratulations! So happy for you both ,” Editor of Marie Clare Australia Georgie McCourt wrote.

“Aww a beautiful boy to treasure. Congratulations ,” another Instagram user commented.
The baby news comes after Ms Higgins was given a concerning update by healthcare professionals, saying that the baby “may be incompatible with life outside of the womb”.
“A fortnight ago, David Sharaz and I had the scare of our lives after the midwife told us halfway through my second trimester my blood test had raised red flags,” she wrote in a post to Instagram.
“Our baby had a high probability of a genetic disorder — which wouldn’t have mattered to us — but scarily could mean he may be incompatible with life outside of the womb.”
However, the big scare turned to joy when doctors eventually gave the couple the all-clear.
“After an amniocentesis and a seemingly never-ending wait our prayers were answered. Our little guy is perfectly fine and healthy,” Ms Higgins wrote.

Hedge funds are buying more of these ‘rising star’ stocks, according to Goldman
Hedge funds are buying more of these ‘rising star’ stocks, according to Goldman
A change in popularity among hedge fund investors for stocks could signal where they’re headed in the months to come, and there are some that may be poised for future gains, according to Goldman Sachs. The bank analyzed the holdings of 695 hedge funds with $3.1 trillion of long and short equity positions at the start of the first quarter this year, based on the latest regulatory filings. Goldman then detected several Russell 1000 stocks that saw the largest increase in number of hedge fund owners during last quarter. “Historically, stocks with the largest increase in the number of hedge fund investors (“Rising Stars”) have typically gone on to outperform sector peers during the quarters following their rise in popularity,” analyst Ben Snider wrote in a recent note. Here are some names that appeared on Goldman’s latest Rising Stars list. Robinhood saw the third largest increase in the number of hedge funds owning the financial services platform’s stock at 23. That brought the total number of hedge funds owning it to 66, as of Dec. 31. While shares closed the week lower on the heels of the Securities and Exchange Commission ending its investigation into its crypto arm last Monday, they’ve still massively outperformed the broader market this year, recording a year-to-date gain of 34.5% compared with the S & P 500’s 1.2% increase in the *******. Over the past year, Robinhood has soared around 210.6%. More than half of the analysts covering Robinhood on Wall Street are bullish, with 12 out of 19 having a strong buy or buy rating, according to LSEG. Its roughly $70 average price target also implies more than 40% from Friday’s close. Shares of Coupang have also meaningfully outperformed the S & P 500 this year, jumping 7.8% year to date. The South Korean e-commerce stock has also surged about 30% in the last year. Last quarter, the name saw 19 more hedge funds owning it, which put its total hedge fund ownership at 64. Like Robinhood, most analysts have taken a bullish stance on Coupang, as 12 out of 15 have a strong buy or buy rating. It also has a consensus target of around $29, which implies 23.6% from Friday’s close. Deutsche Bank is one of the firms that has grown more optimistic on the stock’s performance. Last Wednesday, Deutsche upgraded shares to buy from hold and increased its price target to $28.50, reflecting more than 20% upside ahead. That call sent shares 3.5% higher during that day’s session. Electric vehicle-maker Tesla also made the list, seeing 17 more hedge funds own the stock in the ******* ended Dec. 31. With that change, 101 total hedge funds own the stock. While shares have fallen more than 27% in 2025 and most of its postelection gains have been lost, the stock has still climbed around 45% in the last 12 months.

Hospitalised pope no longer in critical condition: ******** source
Hospitalised pope no longer in critical condition: ******** source
Pope Francis’s condition is not currently critical, a ******** source said Friday, after a series of clinical improvements for the 88-year-old pontiff suffering from pneumonia in both lungs.
The Argentine pope has spent the past two weeks at Rome’s Gemelli hospital, with the ******** reporting incremental improvements in his condition in recent days.
A ******** source said Friday that the “criticality has passed, for the moment”, while cautioning that Francis’s overall condition “remains complex” and his prognosis still “reserved”.
Earlier Friday, the ******** said the pope had spent another peaceful night in hospital.
After being hospitalised on February 14 for breathing difficulties, the pontiff’s condition sparked widespread alarm as it deteriorated into pneumonia in both lungs.
But there has been no recurrence of the breathing attack he suffered at the weekend and since then the ******** has released more optimistic medical updates.
On Monday, it said Francis showed a “slight improvement”, and on Tuesday noted that his condition was “critical but stable”, the last time it used the term “critical” for his condition.
A “further, slight improvement” was reported Wednesday and on Thursday the ******** said the “clinical conditions of the Holy Father are confirmed to be improving today also”.
– Still reserved –
The ******** has not yet modified the pope’s prognosis of “reserved”, however — which means doctors will not predict changes in his health.
Medical experts have warned that Francis’s age and the chronic respiratory disease from which he suffers mean a sustained recovery could take time.
“Given the complexity of the clinical picture, further days of clinical stability are necessary to resolve the prognosis,” the ******** said Thursday.
Francis — who has been pope since 2013 — has continued to work in hospital, where he is in a special papal suite on the 10th floor.
He also has been doing breathing exercises in between resting and praying, according to the ********.
This hospital stay is the fourth of his nearly 12-year papacy, and his longest.
In recent years, he has had surgery on his colon, a hernia operation and pain in his knee and hip that have caused him to rely on a wheelchair.
There has been speculation as to whether Francis might now resign, especially as his schedule has been packed with papal duties amid celebrations for the holy Jubilee year.
“If the pope survives, many imagine that he will want to finish the Jubilee year, but that afterwards, when he is 89, he will face the question of whether or not to resign,” Italian ******** expert Marco Politi told AFP.
Francis has always been open to following his predecessor, Benedict XVI, who in 2013 stepped down because of his physical and mental health.
But the Argentine pope, before his hospitalisation, had repeatedly said it is not yet the time — and may never be.

Ocean Infinity launches fresh search for MH370 with new maritime tech
Ocean Infinity launches fresh search for MH370 with new maritime tech
A fresh search is underway for the wreckage of missing Malaysian airliner MH370 and two maritime experts say radical new tech could finally bring some closure to aviation’s most haunting mystery.
Flight MH370 disappeared on March 8 in 2014 while flying from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing with 227 and 12 crew on board.
Six Australians were on board MH370: Rodney and Mary Burrows, Robert and Catherine Lawton, Yuan Li and Naijun Gu.
A New Zealand citizen living in Australia, Paul Weeks, was also on the flight.
The Boeing 777 departed the Malaysian capital about 12.45am and disappeared in airspace over the South China Sea.
Now, US robotics company Ocean Infinity is scouring a 15,000km zone in the Indian Ocean over an 18-month timeframe.
The company searched for and failed to find MH370 in 2018, but experts Craig Wallace and Peter Waring, speaking with 60 Minutes on Sunday evening, say this time is different.
“What these vessels, what these new ocean infinity vessels represent frankly is as big a transition in maritime technology as the movement from sail to steam in, in the 1800s,” Mr Waring, a former *********** naval officer told the program.
Camera IconUS marine robotics company Ocean Infinity will search again for MH370 over a 15,000km zone. 60 Minutes Credit: SuppliedCamera IconFormer *********** naval officer Peter Waring says Ocean Infinity will deploy sophisticated underwater drones to search for MH370. 60 Minutes Credit: News Corp Australia
“It is a giant leap in, in maritime technology.”
The new tech is centred on sophisticated underwater drones, which sink down six kilometres down and scan the sea floor for up to one hundred hours at a time.
The drones are controlled remotely, 60 states, and when seabed anomalies are found, the machine is redeployed to capture sonar images.
“The first thing is trepidation because you see a potential target and you’ll see so many targets that you’ll be let down over and over and over again,” Mr Wallace said.
“You get quite emotional. And it won’t be until people get those camera images that we actually believe they found the wreckage.
“Once you’ve confirmed it’s the wreckage, we then need to map out the debris field and that’ll be done in several stages.”
Camera IconThe company will deploy special underwater drones to search for the airliner. 60 Minutes Credit: SuppliedCamera IconCraig Wallace from Deep Sea Vision talks to 60 Minutes about Ocean Infinity’s new search for MH370. 60 Minutes Credit: News Corp Australia
The operation will be challenging and both the experts express caution about the outcome.
“The Indian Ocean that they’re working in is, is among the worst in the world,” Mr Wallace said.
They’ve recorded wave heights of 20 meters, so 60 feet. It’s extreme conditions and there will be a lot of times where they simply cannot launch or recover the vehicle.”
The Malaysian government announced the new search in December last year, agreeing to a “no find, no fee” contract with Ocean Infinity.
Malaysian transportation minister Anthony Loke said the government would pay the company $112m if a substantial discovery was made.
The *********** Transport Safety Bureau led an initial underwater search for the plane in the southern Indian Ocean between October 2014 and January 2017.
The three-year search operation covered a 120,000 square kilometre zone.
Some debris from the plane has washed up in East Africa and on islands in the Indian Ocean, but the final resting place of the airliner is still unknown.
A haunting mystery has enveloped the flight, with investigators still unsure about what happened.
The aircraft dropped off the radar 38 minutes after takeoff and vanished.
The final recorded message, sent at 1.19am, was from the captain, Zaharie Ahmad Shah, who said: “Good night, Malaysian three seven zero.”
Camera IconMH370 disappeared while flying from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing. News Credit: News Corp Australia
The plane soon diverted back over Malaysia, the opposite direction from the intended flight path.
Primary civilian and military radar data reported the plane travelling back over the Malacca Strait and into the vast Indian Ocean.
After about 7.5 hours, MH370 ran out of fuel and subsequently crashed 11 minutes later into the ocean.
Mr Waring said he hoped the 2025 search would not prove to be another “false dawn”.
“We’ve been here before, there’s been lots of searches in the past,” he said.
“There’s been lots of promises made and I’m really hoping this time that we find the aircraft and that we can
put it all to rest.”
He said it would be a “huge day” if the airliner was found.
“This is a mystery that really tears at the fabric of reality and maybe it’ll stitch it back together again slightly,” he said.

Qatar Airways Responds After Couple Had to Sit Next to Dead Body
Qatar Airways Responds After Couple Had to Sit Next to Dead Body
Originally appeared on E! Online
Qatar Airways is speaking out.
After *********** couple Mitchell Ring and Jennifer Colin came forward saying that they were forced to sit next to a dead body for four hours of a recent flight from Melbourne to Doha, the airline defended the actions of its crew members who were simply following protocol based on the “unfortunate reality” of the situation after a passenger suddenly collapsed and died.
“Passengers were accommodated to other seats, and a crew member was sitting at all times with the deceased passenger for the duration of the flight until landing in Doha,” Qatar Airways said in a statement to People Feb. 28, noting that its crew acted “in line with training and industry standard practice.”
The airline added that its flight attendants treated the difficult matter “with as much respect and dignity as possible” and said that it had offered compensation and support to the family of the woman who died on the flight, as well as to those passengers who were “directly affected” by the situation on the plane.
E! News has reached out to Qatar Airways for comment and has not yet heard back.
More from E! Online
The airline’s version of events differs from that of the couple, who claim they were offered no such support after being asked to “move over” to make space for the deceased woman’s body, which was subsequently put in Ring’s former seat and covered with a blanket.
The couple added that they were told they couldn’t leave their seats for the remainder of the flight, despite being seated next to the corpse and there being open seats nearby.

“There were a few spare seats I could see around us,” Ring said on A Current Affair after the incident. “I can’t believe they told us to stay…it wasn’t nice.”
“They have a duty of care towards their customers as well as their staff, we should be contacted to make sure — do you need some support, do you need some counseling?” he went on. “I don’t really know how I feel and would like to speak to somebody to make sure I’m alright.”
As for Colin, she said the entire situation has left her “traumatized.”
Qatar Airways had previously released a statement about the incident expressing condolences for the family of the deceased.
“First and foremost our thoughts are with the family of the passenger who sadly passed away on board our flight,” a spokesperson for the airline told news.com.au a few days earlier. “We apologize for any inconvenience or distress this incident may have caused, and are in the process of contacting passengers in line with our policies and procedures.”

JD Vance in Vermont: Protesters target vice-president
Protesters holding pro-Ukraine signs lined a road in Waitsfield, Vermont, where Vice-President Vance and his family were visiting for a ski holiday.
US media reported the family moved to an undisclosed location from their planned ski resort because of the demonstrations.
A protest in Waitsfield against the Trump-Vance administration had been organised earlier in the week – before the US president and vice-president’s clash with Zelensky – but many signs referenced the row and Russia’s war with Ukraine.

Helldivers 2’s Super Destroyer Is a Beast But Feels Lifeless Without a Major Feature Seen in Just Cause and Far Cry Franchises
Helldivers 2’s Super Destroyer Is a Beast But Feels Lifeless Without a Major Feature Seen in Just Cause and Far Cry Franchises
Helldivers 2 has been one of the best multiplayer games that has been released in 2024. The fast-paced combat, in addition to barraging missiles from the orbit, has made the game an invigorating experience. Fighting hordes of bug enemies while running for your life with your mates was the peak dopamine boost everyone needed last year.

Helldivers 2 has always been a hardcore game like Doom, and while it already lets players experience the joy of shooting aliens in the head in an intergalactic war, the title lacks a core feature that Just Cause and Far Cry have excelled at. Let’s delve deeper into how the developers can make the game more fun for players.
Arrowhead Studios can add mini-games to the Super Destroyer
The Super Destroyer in Helldivers feels mundane | Image Credits: Sony Interactive Entertainment
Helldivers 2 is a third-person shooter game developed by Arrowhead Game Studios. The title has sold more than 13 million copies since its release, and although it has procedurally generated maps and loads and loads of enemies to kill, the gameplay experience sometimes becomes boring and static while waiting for your teammates or preparing for the next battle on the Super Destroyer.
The Super Destroyer is the mother ship in the game and serves as the base for Helldivers who have returned from a mission or are preparing to go on a mission. Despite the enormous size and the cool design accents, the huge spaceship feels somewhat lifeless. This feeling can be elevated by adding a series of mini-games in the Super Destroyer.
Comment byu/Ewok_Chief616 from discussion inHelldivers
Comment byu/Ewok_Chief616 from discussion inHelldivers
Mini-games can add an extra layer of immersion in the game that will keep players entertained while waiting for teammates to join, strategizing for the next mission, or just taking a little breather before heading back to the action. A prime example of an exciting mini-game could be Arm Wrestling, where players can compete with each other and see who is the best arm wrestler among them.
Additionally, a holographic target practice range could provide the players with a practicing area where they can test out their skills and improve their accuracy. The target practice range could also implement a multiplayer arena where players can compete with each other.

Another exciting possibility could be the inclusion of arcade machines in the ship, with loads of different legendary games like Space Invaders but Helldivers 2 themed.
Mini-games would be a peaceful addition to Helldivers 2
Arrowhead games can provide fun to the players who are waiting for their teammates | Image Credits: Sony Interactive Entertainment
Just Cause and Far Cry both have successfully integrated mini-games in their worlds to give it more character, and Arrowhead Game Studios can follow their steps to do the same. In a game as brutal as Helldivers 2, giving players the chance to unwind and take a little breather between battles is a crucial aspect of the game that makes it more engaging.
These mini-games, if implemented, would not only provide just entertainment for the players to enjoy but also give them an opportunity to improve their overall skills and social interaction in the game with other players.
Whether Arrowhead will introduce such features to their game remains uncertain, but adding them would definitely make Helldivers 2 an even more captivating and enjoyable experience than it already is.

Keir Starmer dismisses SNP call to axe Donald Trump state visit
Keir Starmer dismisses SNP call to axe Donald Trump state visit

BBC Scotland News
‘I won’t be diverted by SNP rhetoric on Trump visit’ – Starmer
The prime minister has dismissed calls from the SNP to scrap an unprecedented second state visit for Donald Trump following a showdown with Ukraine’s President Zelensky.
Trump accused Zelensky of “gambling with World War Three” at the White House on Friday, in a fiery exchange described as “deeply troubling” by Scotland’s first minister.
John Swinney told the BBC he did not see how a state visit for the US president – offered by the King on Thursday – could go ahead unless he was “absolutely full-square with us” in protecting Ukraine.
However Starmer, who is hosting a summit of European leaders including Zelensky later, accused the SNP of using rhetoric and said he would not be distracted.
Getty Images
The prime minister used his visit to the White House to present Donald Trump with an offer of a second state visit
It followed a number of SNP MPs criticising the prime minister’s relationship with Trump on social media, including the party’s Westminster leader Stephen Flynn who said Starmer “better get back up off his knees and revoke that offer of a state visit”.
Prior to Zelensky’s warm welcome at Downing Street on Saturday, the SNP’s foreign affairs spokesperson Stephen Gethins’ accused the prime minister of being silent on the matter which he said was “disappointing”.
After the White House exchange Starmer called both Trump and Zelensky and later reiterated the ***’s support for Ukraine, saying “we stand with Ukraine for as long as it may take”.
Speaking to on the Sunday with Laura Kuenssberg programme, Starmer said: “I’ve seen people ramping up the rhetoric and taking to Twitter and saying what they would do – good for them, I’m not that interested in that.
“I’m interested in what are the practical steps, what are the bridge building that I can do, what are the relationships that I can mend and take forward to take us to lasting peace in Europe.
“I’m not going to be diverted by the SNP or others trying to ramp up the rhetoric without really appreciating what is the single most important thing at stake here – we’re talking about peace in Europe.”
Watch in full: The remarkable exchange between Zelensky, Vance and Trump
Starmer used his US visit to present Trump with a letter from the King, offering an initial meeting in Scotland – where Trump owns two golf courses – to discuss the logistics of a second state visit.
Second-term US presidents are traditionally not offered state visits and have instead been invited for tea or lunch with the monarch, usually at Windsor Castle.
Taking a different tone from SNP MPs, John Swinney said he welcomed the role the prime minister was taking and that he supported him trying to find a way through a difficult situation.
Trump visit cannot come without assurances on Ukraine – Swinney
Speaking to the BBC’s Sunday Show, he said: “I think the prime minister is absolutely right to try and find a way forward with the United States because the position that unfolded on Friday evening was… deeply troubling to watch.
“To see a courageous leader of a courageous country being berated in the fashion that President Zelensky was is completely unacceptable.”
But he added that he could not see how a state visit could go ahead if Trump was “not a steadfast ally of ours in protecting the future of Ukraine”.
He said: “That seems to me an absolutely fundamental requirement of any offer of a state visit to the president of the United States – that he is absolutely full-square with us in protecting Ukraine and insuring its independence.
“If we don’t do that then I think we are undermining the future of western democracy.”
John Swinney has previously said he would use Trump’s affinity for Scotland in a bid to avoid tariffs being applied on imports to the US, particularly on Scotch whisky.
He had publicly backed Harris, the Democratic nominee, in the run up to the 2024 presidential election.
Zelensky had hoped for positive talks with Trump during his visit, including the signing of a minerals deal which would give the US a real stake in his country’s future, if not an outright security guarantee.
Instead he faced an extraordinary dressing down in front of the world’s media, with Trump and his Vice-President JD Vance demanding that he show more gratitude for years of US support.
The Ukrainian president pushed back at suggestions from his more powerful partners that he should work harder to agree a ceasefire with Vladimir Putin. They responded that he was being “disrespectful”.
After his departure, Zelensky said Ukraine is “ready to sign the minerals agreement” but continued his call for US security guarantees.
The exchange prompted a series of responses from European leaders with French President Emmanuel Macron and ******* Chancellor Olaf Scholz among those reiterating their support for Ukraine.

Norway says it will keep supplying fuel to US navy after company calls for boycott
OSLO (Reuters) – NATO member Norway will continue to supply fuel for U.S. Navy ships, the country’s defence minister said on Sunday, after a call from a private marine fuel supplier to stop doing so in response to the apparent breakdown in U.S.-Ukrainian relations.
“We have seen reports raising concerns about support for U.S. Navy vessels in Norway. This is not in line with the Norwegian government’s policy,” Norway’s Defence Minister Tore Sandvik said in a statement.
“American forces will continue to receive the supply and support they require from Norway,” he added.
Trusted news and daily delights, right in your inbox
See for yourself — The Yodel is the go-to source for daily news, entertainment and feel-good stories.
Sandvik issued his statement after privately held Norwegian fuel supplier Haltbakk Bunkers said that it would stop supplying U.S. Navy ships in response to how Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy was treated at the White House on Friday.
“Huge credit to the president of Ukraine restraining himself and for keeping calm even though USA put on a backstabbing TV show. It made us sick… No Fuel to Americans!,” the company said in a now deleted Facebook post.
Haltbakk Bunkers CEO Gunnar Gran confirmed to Norwegian newspaper VG that the company made a decision not to supply the U.S. military, but said the move would have a “symbolic” impact as it didn’t have a fixed contract.
The company did not immediately respond to Reuters’ request for comment.

Luke Jackson: Fremantle’s Justin Longmuir confident star will stay amid report of potential Melbourne interest
Luke Jackson: Fremantle’s Justin Longmuir confident star will stay amid report of potential Melbourne interest
Justin Longmuir says ruck star Luke Jackson has dismissed reports that he is interested in leaving the club and has told the Dockers he has never been happier about living in Perth.
Jackson was one of Fremantle’s best players during their 16.13 (109) to 11.24 (90) victory over Melbourne with 18 disposals and two goals. That performance came as reports broke that clubs in Victoria consider Jackson gettable and that he may entertain the prospect of moving interstate despite having a long term contract at Fremantle.
Longmuir said his club had already addressed the report with Jackson and been told they had nothing to worry about.
“Someone from the club has spoken to him already and he’s reiterated that he doesn’t want to go anywhere and he’s never been happier,” Longmuir said.
“There’s not a concern. Nothing I have seen of Luke throughout the pre-season has shown me that he wants to leave our club.”
Jackson has played as a forward/ruck at Fremantle, sharing the centre square duties with Sean Darcy. Against Melbourne, he worked in tandem with Liam Reidy and his ability to win the ball around the ground and use his athleticism gave Fremantle a point of difference.
“I thought he had an impact around contest all day,” Longmuir said.
“Whether that was in the centre square or stoppage – he has an impact long down the lines, he has impact around contest as a forward. The third quarter wasn’t going our way and I thought at the back end of the third quarter he started winning some contests and helped us to hit the scoreboard and get some ascendancy. I thought he played a really good game.”

Shai Bolton also impressed in his first game as a Docker. Bolton’s played against Fremantle for the Indigenous All Stars when returning from a calf injury, but he kicked two goals against the Demons, set up his teammates as a forward and also showed his class in the midfield.
“We’ve seen that all pre-season at training but we’ve also seen that for five or six years on the opposition,” Longmuir said.
“I think he led us for score involvements off a pretty low possession base. He kicked a nice goal. He created opportunities for others as well and was pretty selfless.
Fremantle won the game despite losing the inside 50s, clearances and contested possessions. Longmuir said that put the backline under pressure and provided strong lessons for the build up to round one.
“There was some good, some bad,” he said
.“I thought out first half, especially the second quarter was pretty good and high quality. We had the game on our terms. But we fell away in the contest in the second half which put a lot of pressure on our ball use.”
