  1. If your partner says this 6-word phrase to you, it means you’re about to get broken up with If your partner says this 6-word phrase to you, it means you’re about to get broken up with No one wants to hear these words from a significant other. Dating expert Louanne Ward warned that a simple phrase could be a glaring red flag that signals trouble in paradise. “When somebody says, ‘I don’t want to hurt you,’ what they’re really saying is they believe you have more feelings for them than what they have for you,” she said, per the Daily Mail, calling it a “warning, not reassurance.” “It means they’re not fully invested, they know you care more than they do and they’re laying the groundwork to excuse their future bad behavior.” The phrase “I don’t want to hurt you” is a six-word red flag, according to Ward. Prostock-studio – stock.adobe.com She claimed that the alarming phrase, veiled as care and concern, has nothing to do with “sparing your feelings.” Rather, “it’s about sparing their guilt,” Ward explained. “If someone warns you, listen carefully and protect your heart,” she advised. “The simple fact is, if somebody doesn’t see you as a potential long-term partner and doesn’t have strong enough feelings for you, they can see that they can potentially hurt you,” Ward said. “They don’t have to feel guilty about it because they warned you,” she added. Ward said that the other person doesn’t “have to feel guilty” about hurting your feelings if they say that phrase. Instagram/Louanne Ward Instead, when you hear “I don’t want to hurt you,” Ward recommended rethinking the relationship “because this person is going to end up hurting you if you stay where you are.” If a breakup does happen, don’t get discouraged when it comes to dating. If and when you’re ready to get back into the game, Ward revealed her three-second hack for instantly becoming more attractive, because she said most people are “killing their own attraction powers without even realizing it.” She calls this the “pause and hold” method, which involves pausing before speaking instead of rushing into a conversation. “Most people never use this because silence feels uncomfortable,” Ward said. Rushing into a connection or conversation can be seen as an “attraction blocker,” according to Ward. Holding eye contact while pausing “makes people lean in,” she added. “The simple fact is, if somebody doesn’t see you as a potential long-term partner and doesn’t have strong enough feelings for you, they can see that they can potentially hurt you,” Ward said. eldarnurkovic – stock.adobe.com “Hold eye contact before looking away. Pause before responding to a question,” Ward advised. “Let a moment breathe instead of rushing to fill it.” This method is successful because it shows confidence and builds connection. “The moment you learn to own it, you change the way people see you forever. And this is just one small piece of what makes attraction effortless,” added Ward. Source link #partner #6word #phrase #means #youre #broken Pelican News View the full article at [Hidden Content]

Gene Hackman’s Wife Died From Rodent-Transmitted Illness Actor Gene Hackman and wife Betsy Arakawa pose for a portrait in 1986 in Los Angeles, California. – Credit: Donaldson Collection/Michael Ochs Archives/Getty Images When Oscar-winning actor Gene Hackman and his classical pianist wife Betsy Arakawa were found dead on the floor in different rooms of their New Mexico home last week, investigators set to work unraveling the mystery of what happened. On Friday, they said testing determined Arakawa, 65, died from a rare respiratory illness caused by hantavirus, possibly as early as Feb. 11. They said Hackman, 95, succumbed to heart disease and “advanced Alzheimer’s disease,” most likely days or even a week later, on Feb. 18. More from Rolling Stone The revelation immediately raised questions about what exactly hantavirus pulmonary syndrome is and how people can protect themselves from contracting it. Officials said Friday they believe Arakawa contracted hantavirus from a rodent infestation in a structure somewhere on the couple’s property, but not inside their “well-maintained” home. According to the CDC, people get hantavirus from contact with rodents like rats and mice, especially when exposed to their ******, droppings, and saliva. “Hanatavirus infection is characterized by flu-like symptoms consisting of fever, muscle aches, cough, sometimes vomiting and diarrhea that can progress to shortness of breath and cardiac or heart failure and lung failure. This occurs after a one to eight-week exposure to ********** from a primarily particular mouse species that carries hantavirus,” Dr. Heather Jarrell, New Mexico’s chief medical examiner, said at a press conference Friday. She said initial flu-like symptoms can last roughly three to six days before they transition to a pulmonary phase where people suffer from fluid in and around their lungs. “At that point, a person can die very quickly, within 24 to 48 hours, roughly speaking, without medical treatment,” Dr. Jarell said. “It’s not uncommon to find someone down on the floor as part of a terminal collapse, so to speak, and that may very well have been what happened to Mrs. Hackman.” (Officials said Friday that Arakawa visited a CVS pharmacy on Feb. 11, the last day she was known to be alive. They didn’t know if she had reported any symptoms or purchased any related medication.) “It’s got a fairly high mortality associated with it, especially if it’s not diagnosed,” Dr. Scott Lindquist, lead epidemiologist with the Washington State Department of Health, tells Rolling Stone. While infections are rare, people need to know what the disease is so they can report possible exposure if they start to feel sick, he said. “A lot of times we don’t initially think of hantavirus, and people don’t disclose, ‘Hey, I was cleaning out a rodent infestation in the house or the garage.’ So, a lot of times it’s fatal,” Lindquist said. According to Dr. Jarrell, the mortality rate for the hantavirus strain in the Southwest is about 38 to 50 percent. While there’s no specific treatment for hantavirus, early intervention can save lives. “Really, it’s supportive care – the use of a ventilator, maintaining your blood pressure, having fluids, doing a balance between severe pulmonary involvement and keeping the patient alive,” Lindquist said. Dr. Erin Phipps, New Mexico’s Public Health Veterinarian, said Friday that while rare, hantavirus pulmonary syndrome remains an ongoing threat to public health. “A small number of human infections are found every year in New Mexico. Over the past five years, New Mexico has confirmed between one and seven hantavirus infections in humans each year,” she said. “We have identified 136 infections over the past 50 years in New Mexico residents, five of these in Santa Fe County. This is a serious disease. 42 percent of these infections here in New Mexico were fatal.” According to the CDC, 94 percent of reported hantavirus infections in the U.S. have been west of the Mississippi River. As of the end of 2022, 864 cases of hantavirus disease were reported in the U.S. since surveillance began in 1993. Experts say the best way to prevent an infection is to avoid contact with deer mice and their ****** and droppings. “Whenever there’s a rodent infection, our advice is you really should wear a mask, gloves and clean up with a bleach solution,” Dr. Lindquist says. “Wipe it up with a moist cloth and dispose of it in a bag, and try not to aerosolize it [with a vacuum or sweeping].” He said it’s also essential to avoid rodent infestations in the first place — that means sealing up spaces where rodents can enter a home or garage and cleaning up any food that’s easily accessible and might attract mice. “You can safely clean up an infestation,” Dr. Lindquist said. “The point is, don’t just rush in and aerosolize. Don’t get Shop-Vac out. Don’t sweep it and aerosolize it without any protective equipment on.” Best of Rolling Stone Sign up for RollingStone’s Newsletter. 7. Trudeau reduced to tears after ‘colourful’ phone call with Trump over tariffs Trudeau reduced to tears after ‘colourful’ phone call with Trump over tariffs Credit: cpac.ca Justin Trudeau was reduced to tears at a press conference on Thursday night, after reports of a profanity-laden phone call with Donald Trump. The ********* prime minister welled up in what was one of his last public appearances as leader, as he urged the nation to “stand up against the trading partner that is much ******* than us”. Following a week of warring with the US president over tariffs, the two leaders spoke for 50 minutes on Wednesday, in a call that Mr Trudeau described as “colourful”. In fact, it appears that Mr Trump used profane language multiple times while berating Mr Trudeau in what was described by the Wall Street Journal as a “heated” exchange. Mr Trump has spent months mocking the ********* prime minister, calling him “Governor Trudeau” and vowing to make the country America’s “51st state”. Mr Trudeau said: “We want to continue to be strong and resolute in our response and we will continue to be there for each other because the unity that Canadians are feeling right now is actually the most important thing in being able to stand up against the trading partner that is much ******* than us. “We are in a moment right now where Canada has a very, very strong bargaining position, because Canadians are so united and unequivocal about standing up for our country, standing up for our fellow citizens, and being very, very firm that this is an absolutely unjustified and unjustifiable trade war launched by the Americans, and that is what we’re going to continue.” Tensions between the two countries reached breaking point on Tuesday when Mr Trump imposed 25 per cent tariffs on all goods imported from Mexico and Canada, plunging them into a full-blown trade war. Mr Trump has since rolled back the taxes on certain manufacturers, including car makers. Mr Trudeau, who will officially give way to a new Liberal leader on Sunday, also cried when he announced his decision to step down in January. Reflecting on 10 years in office in a press conference in Ottawa, Mr Trudeau said he had worked “every single day” to “put Canadians first”. He said: “I have peoples’ backs and that’s why I’m here to tell you all that we got you, even in the last days of this government, we will not let Canadians down today and well into the future.” The ********* prime minister first became emotional when announcing one of his government’s last policies on childcare. Mr Trudeau said: “Childcare is a matter of fairness. It strengthens our economy, makes it more resilient, and that’s never been as important as it is right now.” His emotions also welled up as he reflected on events during his time in office. He said: “I’ve had 10 years of Donald Trump, a historic once-in-a-century pandemic, inflation crises, war in Ukraine as Russia returns to war in Europe, as the Middle East is facing extraordinarily difficult situations. “These have been complicated times. This is the job I signed up for. This is the job I will continue to do until the very last moment I’m doing this job.” ‘Honour of my life’ In response to being asked about getting emotional, he said: “This has been the honour of my life serving Canadians.” With tears in his eyes, he went on to say he was looking forward to a “transition to my duly elected successor in the coming days or week”. Wednesday’s call between Mr Trump and Mr Trudeau ended in a “somewhat” friendly manner, according to the Wall Street Journal, though the US president has continued to mock his ********* counterpart on Truth Social. Mr Trump wrote earlier this week: “Believe it or not, despite the terrible job he’s done for Canada, I think that Justin Trudeau is using the tariff problem, which he has largely caused, in order to run again for prime minister. So much fun to watch!” Mark Carney, the former head of the Bank of England, is the favourite to replace Mr Trudeau when the leadership results are announced on Sunday. Chrystia Freeland, the former finance minister whose resignation heaped pressure on Mr Trudeau to resign, is also in the running. The ********* election will then take place later this year, with a deadline set for Oct 20. Mr Trudeau has spent his final weeks in office fighting back against US plans to impose tariffs on ********* goods, describing the decision as “dumb”. He said: “This is a time to hit back hard and to demonstrate that a fight with Canada will have no winners.” Broaden your horizons with award-winning British journalism. 9. Terrell May finds kindred spirit in “big brother” Benji Terrell May finds kindred spirit in “big brother” Benji Terrell May has found an unlikely kindred spirit in Benji Marshall and is now driven by a desire to repay him and the Wests Tigers in his first year at the club. May emerged as a genuine reason for hope in the Tigers’ season-opening loss to Newcastle on Friday night, when he was clearly the best prop on the field in the 10-8 defeat. After carpooling to the game with fellow recruit Jarome Luai, May played through the first 54 minutes unchanged and ran 175 metres to go with five offloads. Shocked when told by the Roosters last October he was surplus to requirements six months after signing a two-year deal, May is now a leader of the pack at the Tigers. Marshall labelled May as “misunderstood” following Friday’s loss, rejecting the idea a dislike for football had put May on the outer at the Roosters. Instead, Marshall said the 25-year-old simply wanted to put family before football, something the Tigers coach has encouraged both for himself and his players. “I feel like Benji knows me so well,” May said. “We chat a lot. It’s the first time I’ve really chatted to a coach this personally. “He even texts me sometimes and just checks up on me. He’s a coach, but I see him more as an older brother. “That’s why I want to go out there and do the best for him and do the best for this club. Because he brought me over and I’ve got to repay him back.” May also said he was ready to thrive on the prospect of continually playing big minutes as a starter, after previously doing so off the bench at the Roosters. The front-rower played with the gusto of an impact prop early on Friday night, but did so knowing the plan was still for him to go through the first half unchanged. “You don’t want to pace yourself. You want to blow your load and see what happens from there,” May said. “I came here to (play big minutes). I don’t know how long I played, but I knew I was out there for pretty long “But I don’t really care about what I do. I just care about winning. And obviously we didn’t get the result, so I’m not too happy.” Marshall said afterwards May had proven what he would bring to the Tigers. “He showed he is not mucking around coming here. He wants to lead the way and be our leader in the forward pack,” Marshall said. “We planned to try and get him through the first 40, which he did, he got through it pretty good. “We don’t chase stats or minutes, it’s just the quality we get out of him. I thought he was quality for us.” Source link #Terrell #finds #kindred #spirit #big #brother #Benji Pelican News View the full article at [Hidden Content] For verified travel tips and real support, visit: [Hidden Content]

  12. State Department suspends reporting air quality levels staff and families relied on overseas State Department suspends reporting air quality levels staff and families relied on overseas State Department staff were taken aback this week by a department directive instructing embassies and consulates to stop publishing air quality monitoring data. CBS News has reviewed the message that was sent to staff on March 4, which says “currently there is no anticipated date for real-time data to be available.” Embassy staff and their families relied on the reports to alert them to poor air quality days. “I was shocked by the announcement,” said a current staffer, who asked to remain anonymous due to concerns about their job, and who said the decision doesn’t make much sense as the existing infrastructure to monitor air quality is already in place and operational. “I don’t see any purpose in turning off this data, it doesn’t make any sense,” said another department employee. A State Department spokesman told CBS News in a statement that the air quality monitors are running, but the effort to transmit air pollution data from embassies and consulates is no longer happening “due to funding constraints that have caused the Department to turn off the underlying network.” When asked what it costs to operate the program, the State Department did not provide an answer. “The cost to maintain these systems is trivial,” said Rick Duke, who served as the deputy special envoy for climate at the State Department until January and believes this isn’t about saving money as much as it’s driven by misplaced anti-climate ideology in the Trump administration. “These monitors aren’t even about climate,” said Duke, “Why take away health information from embassy staff and the public?” Air monitoring at U.S. embassies began informally in 2008 when a single monitor was placed at the embassy in Beijing, China. The results were posted hourly on Twitter, informing the public about levels of air pollution in the city. The account called AirBeijing became internet-famous in 2010 when it tweeted that the air on Nov. 11 was “Crazy Bad” when the machine registered dangerously high levels of air pollution. A cellphone shows the U.S. Embassy pollution index reading of 551, which is extremely hazardous, and the ******** government reading of 484, in Beijing on Feb. 26, 2014. MARK RALSTON/AFP via Getty Images The purpose behind the monitoring was to inform U.S. citizens living in the region about the state of the city’s air, but the ******** public quickly picked up the information and began demanding their government address the toxic pollution that local officials often downplayed. The State Department expanded air monitoring at other embassies around the world, installing 78 monitors elsewhere, and made the data available on AirNow.gov. A 2022 scientific study found that the embassy program was highly successful in reducing air pollutants, “resulting in substantial decreases in the premature mortality risk faced by the over 300 million people living in cities home to a US embassy monitor.” But now that the program is terminated, the webpage for embassy data only produces an error message. The last available reading in Beijing was posted on March 4, the day the agency stopped transmitting data. Current State Department staff told CBS News that access to air quality data is key when weighing overseas assignments, especially for those who must move their entire family and children to places with unhealthy air, or in locations where air monitoring by local governments is unreliable or non-existent. “Robbing employees of the information they need for the health decisions of their children is immoral,” said a current staffer, who spoke on condition of anonymity out of fear of retaliation. A State Department spokesperson told CBS News in a statement that the air data continues to be collected and “will be made available when there is a secure and reliable way to transmit it.” They said the department is “evaluating other transmission options.” The spokesperson also said the air quality monitoring equipment “is only one of a number of tools the Department uses to ensure the health and safety of our staff.” When CBS News asked staffers about the other tools, they said they were not aware of any and did not know how else to access the information. 14. 2 food items you should skip during the bird flu outbreak and 4 that are safe to eat, according to experts 2 food items you should skip during the bird flu outbreak and 4 that are safe to eat, according to experts The current outbreak of bird flu has contributed to an egg shortage, driving up egg prices. Most consumer products are safe from contamination due to their production processes. Raw milk poses the biggest consumer threat. As bird flu continues to impact egg availability and push up prices, you might be wondering which other everyday products could be affected by the recent outbreaks. The H5N1 virus, which has affected 166 million birds since 2022 and infected 70 humans, has been detected in poultry, dairy cattle, and mammals like seals and cats. It can spread through direct contact with contaminated animals, water sources, or surfaces, putting poultry industry workers at greatest risk of infection. Most recently, a raw chicken cat food recall notice was issued for suspected contamination with the virus. Experts told Business Insider that most consumer products won’t present dangers due to the close inspection required for mass production for consumers, and guidance for farmers — such as culling flocks of birds when an infection is identified — aims to prevent contaminated products from entering the market. Another factor contributing to safety in the food supply is the processing of dairy products, like milk and cheese, as pasteurization effectively kills viruses and other harmful bacteria. Here’s how to stay safe from the bird flu while grocery shopping. Chicken isn’t a concern as long as it’s cooked. Cooked chicken doesn’t pose a threat to bird flu exposure.loooby/ iStock As long as you’re cooking your chicken, bird-flu contamination should not be a concern. “We had chicken in our house last night,” Dr. William Schaffner, a medical doctor and former director for the National Foundation for Infectious Diseases, told Business Insider. “We don’t eat it raw — we cook it first. So we didn’t have to be concerned about that.” The cooking process typically kills harmful bacteria in raw foods, making bird-flu infection highly unlikely. The USDA recommends always cooking chicken to an internal temperature of at least 165 degrees Fahrenheit to kill harmful bacteria like the salmonella virus. The salmonella virus can be found as commonly as in one of every 25 packets of raw chicken, according to the CDC. However, be careful with raw chicken products, such as those you’ve purchased for a ****. Raw chicken can be contaminated with the virus and can infect domestic cats.lucky_pics/Shutterstock While chicken isn’t as much of a concern for human infection since it’s mostly eaten cooked, raw chicken in **** products could be exposed to the virus. On March 1, Wild Coast Raw recalled its frozen raw chicken cat food due to potential bird-flu contamination. While the FDA said no human infections had been reported from handling the raw food, the agency advised people who’d bought the cat food to take caution when handling it by washing their hands and avoiding contact with their eyes, nose, or mouth. The FDA also instructed **** owners to watch out for bird-flu symptoms in their pets and themselves. If you had eggs this morning, there’s nothing to worry about. Cooked eggs are safe from the bird flu.Smith Collection/Gado/Getty Images Andrew Pekotz, a professor of microbiology and immunology at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, told Business Insider that the virus’ quick effects on infected birds, which die soon after contagion, means infections very rarely go unnoticed. “The eggs or the chickens never really get a chance to even leave the farm before the farmers know that there’s an infection going on,” Pekotz said. If sick birds even get a chance to lay eggs before they die, close oversight of poultry farms means those eggs don’t make it to the food supply. In the cases where sick birds lay eggs on commercial farms, their eggs get destroyed as soon as the virus is detected in the flock. Ultimately this means the eggs you buy in the store are highly unlikely to be affected. If you prefer your eggs runny, bird flu doesn’t pose additional risks. Undercooked eggs don’t carry any additional risk for bird flu contamination.Chanda Hopkins/Getty Images The FDA doesn’t recommend consuming raw eggs due to their increased risk of carrying foodborne illness-causing bacteria like salmonella. Instead it advises to “cook eggs until both the yolk and the white are firm.” However, undercooked eggs don’t carry any additional risks for carrying bird flu. “Even the consumption of raw eggs,” Schaffner said. “There have been no risks associated with eating that” during this current outbreak, he said. Currently, there is no public health warning against consuming raw eggs because of bird flu. Raw beef has also not been found to be at risk of contamination. While a risky food in itself, raw beef at the supermarket does not currently pose a threat.iStock The CDC reported that bird flu has been detected in dairy cows, but the nature of their infections suggests that beef cattle might not be at such risk. Still, since 2024 the USDA has started randomly testing beef cows for the virus to monitor any changes to contagion trends and strain mutations. Currently, the virus has not been detected in beef cattle, making raw beef safe from bird flu contamination, although experts say it is risky in its own right because of its potential to carry harmful bacteria and parasites. Food safety standards recommend cooking beef to an internal temperature of 160 degrees Fahrenheit to prevent foodborne illnesses. However, there’s bad news if you drink raw milk. Raw dairy can be contaminated by the virus.Fresno Bee/Getty Images Despite its growing popularity in pockets of the US, raw milk can be very dangerous, even when there’s not a bird flu outbreak. While some studies have indicated children who grew up on farms — where they have consumed raw milk and have been exposed to other environmental factors — have a lower incidence of allergies in what is known as the “farm effect,” experts say the considerable dangers of consuming raw milk outweigh any purported benefits. Unpasteurized milk exposes consumers to harmful bacteria like salmonella, E. coli, and listeria. The FDA reported the consumption of raw milk was linked to 2,645 illnesses and 228 hospitalizations from 1998 to 2018. In light of the bird flu outbreak, experts strongly recommend against its consumption. “That’s the only product with which we’re concerned at the moment,” Schaffner said. Unpasteurized milk has the potential to carry the bird flu virus as a pathogen since it can be present in dairy cattle. This has led to multiple recalls of raw milk products in California after the virus was detected in them. In dairy farms where cattle have been infected, improper cleaning of milking machinery has often been considered the contagion point. The pasteurization process effectively kills the virus, even prompting leading raw milk brands to process their products as a cautionary measure during the current virus outbreak. Pasteurized milk and dairy don’t pose a risk. Pasteurization kills the bird flu virus, protecting most dairy products from contamination.Viktoria Hodos/Shutterstock While raw milk is the biggest consumer threat for infection, experts say the pasteurization process effectively kills the bird flu virus and many other harmful bacteria. In dairy farms, cattle detected to have the virus are immediately taken out of production, decreasing the chance of virus contamination entering the food supply in the first place. “Those products, at the moment, offer no risk,” Schaffner said. Keep an eye out at the farmers market. Local vendors often don’t have the same oversight as major farms.Wendy Maeda/The Boston Globe via Getty Images After shopping at farmers’ markets, properly clean and cook your food according to food safety standards. Local and small vendors can lack the structured oversight that major farms and grocery stores enforce for their providers, but most animal products — other than raw, unpasteurized milk — remain safe from contamination from the bird flu. 17. Aussie Jason Day on fire at Arnold Palmer Invitational Aussie Jason Day on fire at Arnold Palmer Invitational Jason Day fired the low round of the tournament to storm into contention at the PGA Tour’s prestigious Arnold Palmer Invitational in Florida. Australia’s former world No.1 carded a dazzling second-round eight-under-par 64 to rocket 40 spots up the leaderboard into a tie for fifth at the halfway point of the signature $US20 million ($32m) tournament. In a positive sign ahead of the Masters starting in a month, Day racked up an eagle and seven birdies to charge from four over to four under for the championship. He trails outright leader Shane Lowry by four shots entering the weekend. Lawry had six birdies in his five-under 67 to establish a two-shot lead at Bay Hill. The Irishman stands at eight under after passing 18-hole leader Wyndham Clark, who posted a 71 on Friday to sit alone in second spot. Lowry set the tone for his round by sinking a 20-foot birdie putt at the par-3 second hole. The 37-year-old was third last year and is gunning for his first individual win since the 2022 BMW PGA Championship on the DP World Tour. He and Northern Ireland’s Rory McIlroy did team up to win the Zurich Classic of New Orleans last year. Collin Morikawa (68) and Canada’s Corey Conners (70) share third at five under, one shot ahead of Day, McIlroy (70) and American Russell Henley (68). American trio Justin Thomas (70), Max Greyserman (71) and Keegan Bradley (72) are tied for eighth at three under, two strokes ahead of world No.1 Scottie Scheffler, who settled for an even-par 72 on Friday. Fellow former world No.1 Adam Scott, at three over after a second-round 72, was the only other *********** to make the halfway cut. Cam Davis slumped from two under and in the mix to six over after following his first-round 70 with a shocking 80, while Min Woo Lee (73-78) departed at seven over. 18. Priyanka Chopra Jonas Becomes the Definition of ‘Go Girl, Give Us Nothing’ on the March 2025 Cover of British Harper’s Bazaar Priyanka Chopra Jonas Becomes the Definition of ‘Go Girl, Give Us Nothing’ on the March 2025 Cover of British Harper’s Bazaar Lydia Slater, who was appointed editor-in-chief of British Harper’s Bazaar in 2020, continues to demonstrate some serious pull when it comes to securing cover stars for the magazine. Last year, Slater gave up the cover to the likes of Victoria Beckham, Lupita Nyong’o, Venus Williams, Kate Winslet, and Sienna Miller. Lily-Rose Depp starred on last month’s cover, while Priyanka Chopra Jonas graces the cover of British Harper’s Bazaar for March 2025. Certainly no stranger down at your local newsstand, the Indian actress and film producer receives the quintessential Bazaar cover treatment as she poses before the lens of photographer Alexi Lubomirski. In the sun-lit cover image, Priyanka works a sheer, silk, and beaded creation from the Fendi Spring 2025 collection by Kim Jones (as selected for the occasion by cover shoot stylist Miranda Almond). Priyanka Chopra Jonas for British Harper’s Bazaar March 2025 IMAGE | HARPERSBAZAAR.COM/*** Read below the reactions of theFashionSpot’s forum members: “What is Priyanka Chopra promoting? It’s impressive how she keeps landing big covers with such a flop career,” immediately discredited Hchloe. Sharing the same sentiments was blueorchid. “If you had a gun to my head, I would not be able to name a single project she’s ever been in. Why is she pushed so hard?” they asked. “This cover is better than her career here in the states,” laughed justaguy. “YAWN. I am also bored of Alexi Lubomirski. Not impressed by his photography. This cover sucks,” critiqued forum member proseccotabis. “I do love the warmth the cover radiates, but overall it’s all just so flat, boring, and lifeless. Priyanka Chopra is the definition of ‘go girl, give us nothing’ here,” voiced vogue28. MModa agreed, echoing: “I like the styling and warm hues. However, the cover photograph looks like a mug shot. There must have been a much better option!” See more of Priyanka Chopra from the British Harper’s Bazaar March 2025 cover shoot and join the conversation, here. 24. Eerie video of Starship falling from space in flames shows why Florida planes were briefly grounded Eerie video of Starship falling from space in flames shows why Florida planes were briefly grounded SpaceX’s Starship exploded after spinning out of control during its eighth launch to space. An amateur astronomer took a stunning video of Starship spiraling and falling from space in flames. The footage shows how Starship created a space-debris hazard over southern Florida. SpaceX’s Starship mega-rocket spiraled out, fell from space, and exploded spectacularly after its eighth launch on Thursday. SpaceX lost the video feed from Starship and cut off its livestream after the vehicle started tumbling, but Scott Ferguson in Sarasota, Florida was recording the whole thing with a telescope. His unique video footage shows Starship’s demise in detail. It also shows what a space-debris hazard the incident created, causing the Federal Aviation Administration to activate its space-debris protocol and briefly ground flights at airports in Orlando, Miami, Fort Lauderdale, and Palm Beach. If chunks of Starship came raining down, the FAA said, it didn’t want planes in the way. In Ferguson’s video, below, Starship creates a bright, ghostly spiral in the sky with wisps of flame. After about 45 seconds, the spiral becomes a fiery streak as the Starship plummets. Ferguson, who has a neuroscience PhD and records space footage for his YouTube channel Astronomy Live, told Business Insider he had a camera and a telescope trained on Starship throughout its launch. Suddenly, SpaceX’s webcast showed Starship tumbling and beginning to fall from space. It was likely to explode any minute. A view from Starship’s skirt looks past its engines out over Earth just minutes before it lost control.SpaceX via X Ferguson told *** he realized in that moment that the software he used to guide his telescope was lagging behind Starship’s actual position. He scanned the horizon and saw a bright flare in the southwestern sky. It looked like Starship was blowing up, bright enough for him to see with the naked eye. He grabbed the joystick controlling his telescope and pointed it at the dying spaceship. By the time he had Starship in his telescope’s sights, mere seconds later, he said, it was already almost exactly due south. “It goes very quickly,” Ferguson said. He kept following it as it arced across the sky, traversing from the Gulf to the Atlantic Ocean as it fell from space. By the end of his footage, just a few minutes later, the blaze of Starship had disappeared below the southeastern horizon. As Starship continued falling, the spiral transitioned to a fiery streak.Astronomy Live on Youtube Ferguson was disappointed to see Starship explode, but pleased with his footage. “I’m a fan of any big rocket,” Ferguson said, adding that he watched most of the Space Shuttle launches growing up. NASA is counting on this vehicle to land astronauts on the moon for the first time since the Apollo era, a mission which it aims to fly in 2027. However, this was Starship’s second flight in a row to explode before it finished reaching space. “It gives me a lot of concern for what that timeline’s going to look like,” Ferguson said. Elon Musk, the founder and CEO of SpaceX, said on X that the incident was “a minor setback” and another ship would be ready to fly in four to six weeks.
