Blackstone president sees ‘a ton’ of AI data center demand, commercial real estate recovery
Blackstone president sees ‘a ton’ of AI data center demand, commercial real estate recovery
Although President Donald Trump’s tariffs have posed a threat to the artificial intelligence *****, Jonathan Gray of Blackstone thinks there’s more gas in the tank for data center usage demand. “I think this trend is powerful. I think it will continue,” the firm’s president and chief operating officer told CNBC’s ” Squawk on the Street ” on Monday. While he added that chip export restrictions are “slowing things down” a bit and that U.S.-controlled data centers would be a solution that could limit security concerns around that area, he continued by saying that “overall, we still see a ton of demand.” After coming under significant pressure in the wake of Trump’s “reciprocal” tariffs announcement in early April, Big Tech stocks have since rebounded. The Roundhill Magnificent Seven ETF (MAGS) has climbed back above its April 2 closing price thanks in part to the latest quarterly results from Meta Platforms and Microsoft last week. Those reports renewed confidence among investors that the AI trade was still intact despite concerns of a U.S. economic downturn and uncertainty around global trade barriers. “I think there’s a bit of a danger that it’s almost like there’s this wall in front of us and … we’ve forgotten what’s off in the distance, which is this powerful revolution in technology,” he said. “[Meta CEO] Mark Zuckerberg said last week that what’s happening in AI is staggering, and we share that view.” While Gray stressed that AI is still “in the early days,” he sees “significant increases” in the space year by year. He also believes the electricity needs of this data center growth will be met, though considering all sources of power like renewables and natural gas is imperative. “It’s a global issue. I mean, everywhere there are constraints,” he said about electricity demand. “Big companies are recognizing this, and I think the investments will come, and importantly, the government recognizes it, and so it is the gating factor on this sort of technological revolution we’re on.” In addition to being bullish on electricity and power, he’s also optimistic about commercial real estate, saying that a massive pullback in new starts over the past three years “is laying the framework, the groundwork for a big recovery in commercial real estate.” That even includes the office sector, which has suffered major headwinds since the Covid-19 pandemic.

European Parliament establishes a European Order of Merit | News
European Parliament establishes a European Order of Merit | News
Ahead of the 75th anniversary of the Schuman Declaration – the founding moment of European unity – the European Parliament’s Bureau has decided to establish the European Order of Merit, the first European distinction of its kind granted by an EU Institution.
This new civilian distinction will honour the achievements of individuals who have made significant contributions to European integration and European values. All Member States – but Ireland[1] – award distinctions in national orders, reflecting a shared commitment across the Union to recognise excellence and reward contributions that enrich society. There is currently no similar distinction at European Union level. The European Order of Merit aims to fill this gap, reaffirming a shared European identity at a time when global challenges call for stronger unity.
“Europe is built by its people and the European Order of Merit is for them,” said President Metsola. “This Order celebrates those who lead with courage, act with conviction, and believe — like Robert Schuman — that peace, democracy and dignity are not just ideals, but actions. On the 75th anniversary of Europe’s boldest beginning, we honour those who continue to build it.”
Proposals for appointment to the Order may be made by the President of the European Parliament, the President of the European Council, the President of the European Commission, Heads of State or Government, and Speakers of national parliaments of the Member State. Each year, up to 20 laureates will then be appointed to the Order by a dedicated committee comprising the President of the European Parliament, two Vice-Presidents, and four eminent European personalities.
The first ceremony of conferral is expected to take place by 2026. With this initiative, the European Parliament pays tribute to the enduring spirit of European unity — from its post-war beginnings to today’s challenges.
[1] Ireland does not have a system of national orders; instead, it confers honorary titles and awards, such as the Presidential Distinguished Service Award for the Irish Abroad.

Cable thefts leave thousands stranded on Spanish trains
Cable thefts leave thousands stranded on Spanish trains
Thousands of people were left trapped on trains or stranded overnight after the theft of copper cables halted high-speed services between Madrid and southern Spain’s Andalusia region.
Authorities opened an investigation on Monday after Sunday’s theft, which Transport Minister Óscar Puente called a “serious act of sabotage”.
He added that the cable theft took place at five locations, all within a few kilometres of each other on the high-speed line. On Monday morning, Puente said train operations were being “fully restored” .
This travel disruption comes a week after Spain and Portugal suffered a blackout, which similarly saw trains comes to a standstill. The cause is still unknown.
“All of a sudden in the last two weeks – what is going on?” Kevin, a tourist from the US told Reuters news agency as he waited at Madrid’s Atocha station, where thousands were stranded.
More than 10,000 passengers were affected between Madrid, Seville, Malaga, Valencia and Granada, and at least 30 trains.
The disruption came after a long weekend in Madrid and ahead of the week-long Feria festival in Seville, which sees an influx of travellers to the city.
“Operations are now fully restored after a very difficult night for commuters… and staff, who had to respond under extremely complex circumstances,” the transport minister said on Monday morning.
The theft locations, he said, were in areas accessed via forest trails.
Train services were gradually returning to normal, Spain’s national rail manager Adif said on Monday afternoon.
Earlier in the day, the Spanish interior ministry said the country’s civil guard, and police were in contact with Adif and other authorities to “clarify what happened and identify those responsible”.
The price of copper has soared in recent years, and cable thefts from train and telecommunications networks have surged.

Charts show this China tech ETF could be a better bet than U.S. tech, says Katie Stockton
******** technology stocks have seen a volatile start to 2025, with substantial short-term swings in both directions from ETF proxies like the KraneShares CSI China Internet Fund (KWEB) . The choppy price action year-to-date is within a constructive long-term context, noting a long-term base has developed for KWEB. This is quite different from U.S. technology stocks, which have trended higher since 2023 and appear relatively overextended. KWEB established a cyclical uptrend after a base breakout late last year. A long-term uptrend line near $28 defines the gradual uptrend. This trendline was successfully tested during the latest bout of volatility, and our intermediate-term indicators have improved with the rally that is now underway. The weekly stochastics have an upturn to suggest that there is an increased likelihood that KWEB can make additional upside progress within the context of its intermediate-term trading range. The 50-day (~10-week) moving average (MA) is an initial hurdle on the chart, above which the top of the range shows resistance near $39. In the ratio of KWEB to the S & P 500 Index (SPX) , a long-term basing phase has a hold, as in absolute terms. This reflects relative stabilization over the past year for ******** technology stocks versus the U.S. following a sharp phase of underperformance in 2023. The 12-month MAs point higher, suggesting additional outperformance from KWEB over the next year. —Katie Stockton with Will Tamplin Access research from Fairlead Strategies for free here . Destiny 2 Lawsuit Continues As Judge Rejects Bungie’s Use Of YouTube Videos And Wikis
Destiny 2 Lawsuit Continues As Judge Rejects Bungie’s Use Of YouTube Videos And Wikis
A lawsuit filed against Bungie alleging the developer used copyrighted ideas in Destiny 2 just got more complicated, as a federal judge has rejected Bungie’s attempt to have the case dismissed and ruled that evidence submitted by Bungie in the form of fan-made YouTube videos and wiki pages aren’t acceptable.
The lawsuit filed by author Matthew Kelsey Martineau in late 2024 accuses Bungie of allegedly copying various ideas from their work, including Destiny 2’s Red Legion faction and other elements like a giant celestial object hovering over Earth.
Bungie sought to have the case dismissed but has run into a strange problem. Many of the ideas Martineau cited as being accused of copyright, specifically Destiny 2’s original Red War campaign and its Curse of Osiris campaign, haven’t been playable for years. They’ve been removed from Destiny 2 as part of Bungie’s “vaulting” process that sees the developer occasionally remove older content from the game. That led to Bungie including YouTube lore videos in its motion to dismiss the case (like a one a 10-hour-long “Complete Story of Destiny” video from YouTuber My Name is Byf) as well as wiki pages from Destinypedia in order to show the differences between Destiny 2 and Martineau’s work.
In a declaration included as part of Bungie’s attempt to dismiss the case, Destiny 2 game director Tyson Green explained that the Red War and Curse of Osiris campaigns “can no longer run because their outdated code is incompatible with Destiny 2’s underlying operational framework,” hence the studio’s use of YouTube videos and wiki pages.
“As a result, Bungie cannot feasibly provide the Court with the original Destiny 2 game as it existed in 2017, including the accused ‘Red War’ and ‘Curse of Osiris’ campaigns, in any operable or reviewable form,” Green said. “Nor will Bungie be able to produce the accused campaigns in operable or reviewable form if this matter proceeds to formal discovery.”
That is, however, what’s happening. The judge overseeing the case said there is sufficient evidence to proceed with the copyright infringement case and that it will not consider YouTube videos and wiki pages as acceptable on Bungie’s part, as they originate from a third-party and their “authenticity” has not been established. The judge also stated that the cases Bungie cited in its motion to dismiss are not applicable to this specific case, and that the case “would require a much more complicated side-by-side analysis than those conducted in the caselaw cited by Defendant.”
Bungie will reveal Destiny 2’s next expansion, The Edge of Fate, during an upcoming livestream on May 6. Meanwhile, Bungie’s new game, Marathon, recently held a closed Alpha test and is slated to release on September 23.

Deliverance 2’s New Sales Milestone May Have Tipped the GOTY Scales in Its Favor
Deliverance 2’s New Sales Milestone May Have Tipped the GOTY Scales in Its Favor
Ever since its release, Warhorse Studios’ Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 has achieved incredible critical and commercial success, with the game selling leaps and bounds over its predecessor. The year’s not even halfway done, and it already stands as a very formidable contender for Game of the Year.
That’s not to say that this year isn’t packed with heavy hitters. Even with GTA 6’s delay, we have much to look forward to, such as Doom: The Dark Ages, Ghost of Yotei, Death Stranding 2, and more. In fact, the last time a year was this packed with glorious titles was probably 2023. But there’s a significant factor that can give Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 an edge over other competing titles in the GOTY race.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 sells three million copies in three months
Warhorse Studios took to various social media platforms to announce that Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 has sold three million copies in just three months after its initial launch, and the entire franchise has sold ten million copies to date. Both of these sales numbers are extremely impressive, and this cements Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 as one of the most successful games of 2025.

— Warhorse Studios (@WarhorseStudios) May 4, 2025
Although the game has way too many reasons to win, this sales milestone may have just tipped the GOTY scales in its favor and given it an edge over other competing titles. If we just look at how much work went into creating this game and making it historically accurate, then at this point, the GOTY nomination is simply all but confirmed.
Grand Theft Auto VI’s delay almost guarantees Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2’s GOTY spot
GTA VI’s delay may have just given KCD2 the GOTY spot | Image Credit: Rockstar Games
Unsurprisingly, the unfortunate and expected delay of Grand Theft Auto VI has proven fruitful for other developers and publishers, and that is another factor that pretty much solidifies Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2’s GOTY spot. Rockstar’s sixth instalment in the GTA series was supposed to release this year, but after nearly two years of radio silence, the studio finally announced that it will not be releasing this year and will instead release in May of next year.
While GTA VI’s delay may be another stepping stone for KCD2’s GOTY win, one game has already challenged its throne. Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 stands as an extremely strong competitor against Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, as it reached one million copies sold in just three days after its release (barring Game Pass subscribers), thus setting a new standard for gaming. But we’ll have to wait and see how their inevitable battle at the Game Awards turns out.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 already seems to have its seat booked as a nominee at the Game Awards | Image Credit: Warhorse Studios
Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 may have a strong narrative and gameplay, but it seems that it has even stronger legs as the game doesn’t seem to stop with its content updates. The developers at Warhorse Studios are hard at work, releasing DLCs and balance patches regularly to make the game as good and as polished as possible.
With these impressive content updates and insane sales numbers, does Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 have what it takes to beat out all the other titles and reign supreme as the ultimate Game of the Year? If not, then what’s your Game of the Year? Let us know your thoughts and opinions in the comment section below!

Emotional control: how to harness your feelings for a happier, calmer life
Emotional control: how to harness your feelings for a happier, calmer life
Ethan Kross always shared a special bond with his grandmother, Dora, whom he considered a “second mom”. She lived just a few blocks away from his childhood home, and when he came by each day after school, she would shower him with kisses and lavish him with food – matzo ******, chicken broth and noodle pudding.
Despite their closeness, she would barely ever talk about the horrors she had endured during the Nazi occupation in Eyshishok, modern-day Lithuania, before she had emigrated to the US and found a home in New York. How did she rebuild her life to become such a stable figure for her family? And why did she never discuss her trauma, except on specific occasions like Holocaust Memorial Day? “I found it puzzling, how she could mostly avoid speaking about those events but still be OK,” says Kross.
Such questions would follow Kross through his adolescence; as an experimental psychologist and director of the Emotion and Self Control Lab at the University of Michigan, he has spent his career seeking an answer. “Emotions are full of richness and utility, but they can also get the better of us when we are most vulnerable,” he says. “So why does that happen? And what can we do to handle them more effectively? That’s what I went to graduate school to figure out.”
Kross’s new book, Shift: How to manage your emotions so they don’t manage you, is the product of all he has learned. He also isn’t the only psychologist fascinated by the idea of mastering our…

What Is a Lymphatic Drainage Massage? The Treatment Kim Kardashian, Dua Lipa & More Celebs Get Before the Met Gala
What Is a Lymphatic Drainage Massage? The Treatment Kim Kardashian, Dua Lipa & More Celebs Get Before the Met Gala
In the hours before the 2025 Met Gala, celebrity lymphatic drainage specialist Flavia Lanini was at work behind the scenes, sculpting some of Hollywood’s most photographed faces and physiques. Known for her signature technique and high-profile clientele, Lanini helps prepare stars including Kim Kardashian, Lizzo and Dua Lipa for fashion’s biggest night. Her massages—designed to de-puff, contour and energize the body—have become a key step in red carpet prep, offering both immediate definition and long-term skin and wellness benefits.
With red carpet expectations higher than ever, lymphatic drainage massage has surged in popularity as a pre-event ritual. But outside of the celebrity spotlight, the treatment has also become a growing trend in spas across the United States, often appearing on menus without a clear explanation of how it works—or whether it delivers on its health promises.
More from Flow Space
TikTok and other platforms are filled with testimonials claiming that lymphatic drainage massage can reduce inflammation, remove toxins and improve overall wellness. But what does the science actually say?
There is a generally-accepted way to do a lymphatic drainage massage, so this isn’t a made-up thing. However, the promises attached to it are pretty major, making it natural to have some healthy skepticism about the whole thing. Here’s what physical therapists and a toxicologist want you to know about lymphatic drainage massages, as well as who might benefit from it.
What Is the Lymphatic System?
At its core, a lymphatic drainage massage focuses on the lymphatic, or lymphoid, system. This is a network of organs, including lymph nodes, lymphatic tissue and lymph vessels, that create and move a clear to white fluid called lymph from tissue to the bloodstream, according to the U.S. National Library of Medicine.
Your lymphatic system is a huge part of your immune system, working to combat bacteria and viruses. Included in your lymph system are lymph nodes. These are soft, small, round- or bean-shaped structures located in clusters around your body, including your neck, armpit, groin and inside the center of your chest and abdomen.
These nodes store immune cells to help your body fight infections, but they also filter lymph fluid and remove foreign material like bacteria and ******* cells, explains Ken Frey, physical therapist and director of the Institute of Physical Therapy in New York City. This makes the lymphatic system really important to your overall health.
“The lymphatic system carries blood proteins, excess interstitial fluid, immune cells, fats and waste. The waste products consist of cellular debris,” says Brittany Knauss, a physical therapist at Ohio State University’s Wexner Medical Center. “The cellular waste products are filtered through the lymphatic system and eventually drain into the circulatory system. Any excess waste products, including foreign materials or toxins that the body doesn’t want, are eventually excreted through the kidneys.”
How Does a Lymphatic Drainage Massage Work?
A lymphatic drainage massage is a specialized massage that’s designed to stimulate your lymph nodes and encourage them to drain fluid that may have built up, according to Knauss. The idea behind this is to help the lymph system work a little better, she says.
In theory, this could help improve your overall health.
What Do Lymphatic Drainage Massages Look Like?
“A lymphatic drainage massage is a gentle, hands-on technique,” Frey says. It’s performed all over the body, targeting the lymph nodes and encouraging them to promote better drainage.
“The massage technique is performed in a specific sequence to improve drainage of the lymphatic system,” Knauss says. “The massage is so gentle that if you see your skin moving, that would be enough to stimulate the superficial lymphatics.” (Lymphatics are vessels that move lymph around the body.)
Lymphatic drainage massage can be performed on different areas of the body, including arms, legs and trunk, Knauss says.
“The lymphatics drain centrally, so the massage technique typically starts with your abdominal region,” she explains. “The sequence would be different depending on what region of your body you are attempting to drain.”
But you can also use a lymphatic drainage massage to target specific problems, Frey says.
“Some people may have lymphatic drainage massage around the breast because there’s potentially an issue there, the face, or around the gut due to a digestive issue,” he says.
Does a Lymphatic Drainage Massage Actually Do Anything?
It’s important to point out that there’s limited scientific data to support lymphatic drainage massages. However, there is a little.
One analysis of studies on lymphatic drainage massage found that the procedure can help with swelling and recovery from musculoskeletal injuries, reducing pain and improving range of motion in patients. Another scientific analysis of data on breast ******* patients found that lymphatic drainage massage helped to reduce swelling that the participants experienced around their breasts.
But data beyond that is quite limited, especially when it comes to things like “toxins” and bodily inflammation.
In general, your body does a good job of transporting toxins (i.e., substances that may be harmful to your health) to your kidneys where they’re broken down and excreted from your body, says Jamie Alan, PhD, an associate professor of pharmacology and toxicology at Michigan State University. That can make it tricky to say for sure that a lymphatic drainage massage is doing the same thing.
But there may be more to lymphatic drainage massages and lowered bodily inflammation, Knauss says.
“When the lymphatic system isn’t working efficiently, fluid can build up and contribute to inflammation, swelling and discomfort,” she says. “Manual lymphatic drainage can help reduce certain types of inflammation by promoting better lymph flow and reducing fluid accumulation.”
Basically, it can be helpful for some swelling and other types of inflammation. But the jury is still out when it comes to other potential perks.
Ultimately, experts say there’s no harm in having a lymphatic drainage massage and there may even be some benefits.
“The better you can help the lymphatic system work and circulate, the healthier you will be,” Frey says. Within reason, of course.

Marvel Rivals Player Count Is Crashing Like Cyberpunk 2077 on Launch Day
Marvel Rivals Player Count Is Crashing Like Cyberpunk 2077 on Launch Day
Remember when Marvel Rivals burst onto the scene last December like Micah Richards for Man City (the ones who get it, get it), turning heads and making Overwatch players question their loyalty? Those days seem like ancient history now. The hero shooter that once boasted 640K+ concurrent players on Steam has plummeted to a mere shadow of its former self.
The latest numbers tell a grim tale: Marvel Rivals has plummeted to an all-time low peak of just 154,790 players as of May 5, 2025. That’s a staggering 75% drop from its January high—the kind of post-launch collapse that brings back painful memories of Cyberpunk 2077‘s disastrous debut.
From hero to zero: The alarming player exodus
The numbers don’t lie, and they’re painting a picture uglier than a Hulk selfie. According to steamcharts.com, Marvel Rivals has been on a consistent downward trajectory since January:
January 2025: 306,065 average players (peak: 642,333)
February 2025: 227,999 average players (peak: 437,272)
March 2025: 144,301 average players (peak: 307,057)
April 2025: 134,118 average players (peak: 315,153)
What’s particularly concerning is that this isn’t just the natural post-launch stabilization we see with most games. This is a full-blown exodus that shows no signs of slowing down. At this rate, Marvel Rivals might be joining the ranks of forgotten hero shooters like Battleborn before the year is out.
The competitive system is a particular sore spot. Unlike other team-based shooters, Marvel Rivals lacks a role ****** system, leading to frustrating team compositions and matches where nobody wants to play support. Even worse is the “rankflation” problem—players can reach Grandmaster rank simply by grinding games rather than demonstrating actual skill.
This creates a bizarre situation where, at least in the latter half of the season, high-ranked lobbies are filled with players who don’t belong there, making competitive play feel like a bad joke.
The EOMM conspiracy: Is matchmaking rigged?
Ultron’s real mission: player retention. | Image Credit: NetEase Games
Perhaps the most damning accusation against Marvel Rivals is that it employs Engagement Optimized Matchmaking (EOMM) rather than traditional skill-based matchmaking. This controversial system allegedly manipulates win/loss ratios to keep players hooked rather than creating fair competitions.
While NetEase has officially denied using EOMM, claiming that the game uses “a self-designed and developed matchmaking system,” the player experience tells a different story. The frustration is palpable—matches rarely feel balanced, with most games ending in either a stomp or being stomped.
For a game that makes you heavily dependent on teammates, this creates a perfect storm of frustration. Bad DPS players who feed all match but point to their damage stats, supports who never heal, and tanks who charge in alone—it’s a recipe for keyboard-smashing, controller-throwing rage.
The parallels to Cyberpunk 2077 are striking. Both games launched with massive hype and impressive initial numbers, only to collapse under the weight of fundamental problems. The difference is that CD Projekt Red eventually fixed its game. Will NetEase do the same, or is Marvel Rivals doomed to be remembered as another cautionary tale?
What do you think? Is Marvel Rivals salvageable, or should NetEase cut its losses and move on? Share your thoughts in the comments below!

Bloxwich food pantry finds strong community response
Bloxwich food pantry finds strong community response
Organisers of a new community pantry to help people who are struggling and needing food say there has been high demand for their help.
The pantry, based inside the Stan Ball Centre in Bloxwich in the West Midlands, opened in January and offers everyday essentials at reduced prices, with washing capsules the most popular item
Users of the community centre for older and vulnerable adults can access it and it is open to the public one day a week, for a membership of £2 a year.
Retired teacher Jane Collins said in the current cost of living crisis it was a “really good idea”.
“[The crisis] is just a nightmare, you have to think twice before you buy things,” she added.
“Even things like biscuits and cake are now luxury items, not staples. I would love to see places like this all over the country.”
So far there are 178 members of the pantry.
Walsall Council put forward £200,000 to support the community pantry schemes and more are set to open.
Sam Hulme, who uses the centre for adults with learning disabilities, said it was very useful.
“I can **** in here and get what I need. Prices are so expensive nowadays and I’ve found it really handy to grab what I need here.”
Liza Jackson, project manager, said customers were surprised at the look and feel of the pantry.
“The customers are shocked at the prices. They really enjoy the quality and choice,” she said.
“We thought people should have the choice and we didn’t want the look at feel of a food bank.
“We felt some people wouldn’t access food banks, if nothing else because of pride. We wanted it to be a destination to come here and shop.”
Eleanor Boycott, chief executive of the Bloxwich Community Partnership, a charity which runs the centre, added: “The response has been great, there’s been a lot of interest.
“I think the community store is a step before the food bank so people can extend their money a little bit further and choose the food that they want.”
Another community shop has also opened at Bentley community centre and another is due to open in Blakenall.

Romanian PM and party quit government after nationalist vote win
Romanian PM and party quit government after nationalist vote win
Romanian Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu has resigned and his Social Democrat party is to leave the government after a right-wing nationalist candidate won the first round of the presidential election.
George Simion, a eurosceptic who has promised to put Romania first, won 40.9% of Sunday’s vote and is expected to win a run-off vote on 18 May.
He will face liberal Bucharest Mayor Nicușor Dan, who narrowly defeated the Social Democrat (PSD) candidate.
Ciolacu told party supporters that as the coalition had failed to meet its objective and “has no credibility after the Romanian vote, I will propose that PSD leaves this coalition”.
His party had only come to power in a pro-EU coalition after elections on 1 December 2024, although George Simion’s far-right party along with two other groupings had attracted a third of the vote.
Simion’s victory was largely driven by popular frustration at the annulment of presidential elections late last year. His likely success on 18 May is awaited nervously in European capitals, as well as in Kyiv. He has said he wants an EU of strong, sovereign nations.
Ciolacu is now expected to submit his resignation to interim president Ilie Bolojan, who will then appoint a caretaker prime minister.
Bolojan himself took on the role of interim president last February because of the scandal surrounding the annulment of the presidential vote.

KIBORG Review: Cybernetic Chaos with a Dash of Mad Max Mayhem Well worth a look – CG
KIBORG Review: Cybernetic Chaos with a Dash of Mad Max Mayhem Well worth a look – CG
WTMG’s Leo Faria: “I think this is the best way to sum up KIBORG: a neat premise that just ended up feeling like a mixed bag. For every admittedly interesting aspect, such as its visuals, ultraviolence and combat, there’s something else that brings it down a handful of notches, such as the awful voice acting, difficulty spikes, and bugs. With that being said, considering how flooded and overly saturated the roguelike/lite market is nowadays, KIBORG does manage to stand out, even if by just a little bit. It’s not terrible, it’s also far from being amazing, but it’s certainly not entirely fogettable.”

$899 Dual-screen NBook Fly laptop gets ‘upgraded’ to a 2020-era Comet Lake Xeon CPU
$899 Dual-screen NBook Fly laptop gets ‘upgraded’ to a 2020-era Comet Lake Xeon CPU
******** device maker N-one has revised its NBook Fly laptop series with a new Comet Lake-based Xeon processor, but it’s arguably not a significant upgrade from earlier specifications, as revealed by Notebookcheck. If you crave more visual workspace for multitasking, this laptop’s dual-screen design is sure to appeal. At just $899, it’s quite reasonably priced given the features, but the dated processor and lack of a dedicated GPU might be a significant compromise, depending on your workflow. And that’s not to mention the potential for duties and tariffs that may drive the price well above $,1000.
N-one is a rather niche ******** brand that specializes in laptops, tablets, and mini-PCs, with limited distribution and products available globally. Even the laptop in question today is only available from Banggood, which is a ******** direct-to-consumer online retailer. The brand offers several laptop models, including dual-screen and traditional clamshell designs, to meet the needs of most consumers.
N-one’s NBook Fly family is a competitor the Asus Duo product line. So far, the only model in N-one’s lineup includes CPUs based on architectures that are half a decade old, which is obviously far from ideal. The NBook Fly originally featured a 14nm fabbed i7-10850H CPU with 6 cores / 12 threads, based on Intel’s Comet Lake architecture. The revised model upgrades this to a Xeon W-10885M, wielding 8 cores / 16 threads based on the same design, with faster clock speeds, support for ECC memory, and workstation-optimized iGPU drivers.
The key selling point is the dual-screen design, featuring a primary 16-inch 1920×1200 display atop a secondary 14.1-inch 3840×1110 touchscreen (both IPS) that automatically deploys when you open the laptop. Beneath that is a standard keyboard with a touchpad to the right. The laptop comes configured with 16GB of DDR4 memory and a 1TB SSD, with two SODIMMs and two M.2 2280 SSD slots in total. Connectivity technologies are slightly behind the curve, featuring Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 4.2.
The NBook Fly includes one USB Type-C port, three USB 3.0 ports (likely Type-A), one HDMI port, a 3.5mm jack for audio, and an RJ45 (1,000 Mbps) Ethernet port. Charging is handled by a barrel port, as seen in several user reviews. The battery is rated at 58Wh, which should be enough for at least a few hours of use.
In short, while it’s interesting, this laptop doesn’t have much going for it apart from the dual-screen display. Giving credit where it’s due, the NBook Fly is still significantly more affordable than dual-screen equivalents from Lenovo or Asus. Be aware that not every review of the NBook Fly has been positive, with several users reporting issues related to the screens.
If you subtract the dual-screen design from the equation, there are many better options available locally with modern-day Ryzen AI 300/200 or Core Ultra 200 processors, which are far better in most respects than the Xeon you’re getting here. Some laptops in this price range even include a dedicated GPU. If you’re after battery life, consider laptops with Intel’s Lunar Lake, which are often available under the $1,000 price point, or maybe get a MacBook if that suits your needs.

Can Rocket Lab Beat Q1 Expectations and Justify Its Premium Valuation?
Can Rocket Lab Beat Q1 Expectations and Justify Its Premium Valuation?
Rocket Lab USA, Inc. (NASDAQ:), a rising force in the aerospace sector, is set to report its first-quarter 2025 earnings on May 8. This earnings release is shaping to be one of the company’s most pivotal, with expectations running high amid growing momentum in government contracts and space systems.
The sentiment heading into the report is fairly mixed. While analyst ratings remain broadly bullish, estimates for the upcoming quarter reflect some caution, leaving room for volatility depending on the results and forward guidance.
Stock Holds Up Amid Market Weakness
Shares of RKLB have struggled slightly year-to-date but continue to outperform many peers within the space and satellite industry. Notably, the stock has maintained a steady position above its 200-day moving average throughout the recent market pullback and, as of Thursday’s close, was trading above all key short-term and long-term moving averages.
This technical strength in a challenging macro environment reflects steady support and a lack of persistent selling pressure. However, the upcoming earnings could act as a catalyst, either confirming investor confidence or challenging the current bullish positioning.
Expectations for Q1: Revenue, Margins, and Guidance
12-Month Stock Price Forecast: $23.25 1.13% Upside Moderate Buy Based on 13 Analyst Ratings
Wall Street expects Rocket Lab to post revenue of $121.4 million, representing a 30% increase from the same quarter a year ago. Earnings per share are forecasted to show a loss between $0.11 and $0.12. While the revenue growth rate remains strong, the company’s guidance for Q1, ranging from $117 million to $123 million, came in slightly under consensus on the low end. That makes a revenue beat particularly important for investor sentiment.
The company previously projected gross margins in the 30% to 32% range for this quarter, and any improvement on that front could help offset ongoing losses and improve confidence in its long-term profitability trajectory.
All Eyes on Neutron and Execution
One of the most critical areas for investors to watch will be updates on the Neutron rocket, Rocket Lab’s next-generation launch vehicle aimed at capturing a larger share of the medium-lift market. The first launch is targeted for the second half of 2025, and any concrete progress, such as successful engine testing, new contracts, or infrastructure milestones, would be viewed as a positive signal that the timeline remains on track.
On the other hand, signs of delays or unexpected challenges could raise concerns and potentially spark selling, especially considering the stock’s valuation. Rocket Lab currently trades at a price-to-book ratio of 29 and a price-to-sales ratio of over 23, metrics that leave little room for execution missteps.
Contract Backlog and Cash Burn in Focus
Investors will also pay close attention to Rocket Lab’s contract backlog and cash flow management. As of Q4 2024, the backlog stood at $1.06 billion, with $681 million attributed to the rapidly growing space systems segment. A steady expansion of this backlog, particularly through new government or defense contracts, could help reinforce the growth narrative.
However, as the company remains unprofitable, any signs of deteriorating cash flow or lack of discipline in spending could weigh heavily on the stock.
Defense Momentum Strengthens with Recent Wins
Rocket Lab heads into earnings with growing momentum in the aerospace sector. The company was tapped to launch the first full-scale hypersonic test flight under the Department of Defense’s $1.45 billion MACH-TB 2.0 initiative. Set to fly no earlier than Q1 2026 using its HASTE rocket, this win underscores Rocket Lab’s role in cutting-edge hypersonic testing.
RKLB was also added to the U.S. Air Force’s $46 billion EWAAC program and selected for the U.K. Ministry of Defence’s £1 billion hypersonic development framework, significantly expanding its access to major defense contracts across both markets.
A High-Stakes Report for a High-Growth Stock
With strong tailwinds from recent contract wins, a growing space systems business, and high expectations for continued execution, Rocket Lab enters earnings with momentum, but also pressure.
The May 8 report will be pivotal in determining whether the company can continue defying skeptics and justify its premium valuation or if investors need to recalibrate their expectations.

Gears Of War: Reloaded Remaster Coming This August To Xbox, PlayStation, and PC
A remaster of the original Gears is on the way, as Microsoft has announced Gears of War: Reloaded for Xbox Series X|S, PS5, and Steam. It’s coming to Game Pass on day one for Ultimate subscribers. This is just the latest remaster from Microsoft, following the successful debut of Oblivion Remastered in April.
Gears of War: Reloaded arrives on August 26 for $40, and it’s also available to stream via Xbox CLoud Gaming. The game supports cross-play and cross-progression on all platforms. Anyone who already owns the digital version of Gears of War: Ultimate Edition will get Reloaded for free.
Reloaded features 4K resolution 120 FPS support, and multiplayer. “This is the definitive way to experience the game that started it all,” Microsoft said.
“As we approach the 20th anniversary of Gears of War in 2026, we’re reflecting on what this franchise means. It’s about the stories we’ve told, the friendships we’ve built, and the unforgettable moments we’ve shared together. With Gears of War: Reloaded, we’re opening that door to more players than ever,” Microsoft said.
The Reloaded package includes everything from the Gears of War: Ultimate Edition, which launched in 2015 and was itself a remaster of the 2006 original Gears of War game. This includes the base game with all post-launch expansions, covering multiplayer maps and modes, characters, and cosmetics.
Reloaded supports local split-screen or online for, with two-player co-op for the campaign and up to eight players in multiplayer. A Microsoft account is not required to play, but is required to unlock “full cross-platform functionality” in terms of enabling cross-progression.
The Coalition, Sumo Interactive, and Disbelief are developing Gears of War: Reloaded.

U.S. offers migrants free airline tickets and $1,000 stipend if they self-deport
U.S. offers migrants free airline tickets and $1,000 stipend if they self-deport
The Trump administration announced Monday it will offer immigrants in the U.S. illegally free airline tickets and a $1,000 incentive if they sign up for self-deportation and return to their home countries voluntarily.
The Department of Homeland Security said it has helped some migrants obtain flight tickets, so they can return to their native countries in the next two weeks. A migrant has already returned to Honduras using the self-deportation program to book a flight out of Chicago, the department added.
Those interested in participating in the self-deportation initiative are being instructed to use a government smartphone app now known as CBP Home — which the Biden administration previously used to allow certain migrants to enter the U.S. legally — to tell officials they plan to leave the country.
Eligible immigrants will receive both travel assistance and the $1,000 stipend, which DHS officials said will be paid after the U.S. government confirms they individuals have left the country.
The Trump administration said those who sign up for self-deportation using the CBP Home app will be deprioritized for arrest and detention by Immigration and Customs Enforcement, “as long as they demonstrate they are making meaningful strides in completing that departure.”
The incentives offered on Monday are part of a broader effort by the Trump administration to push unauthorized immigrants — with both sticks and carrots — to leave the U.S.
The Trump administration has threatened certain unauthorized immigrants with prosecution, jail time and fines if they fail to register with the federal government. It has also dramatically broadened whom ICE deportation officers can target for arrest, reversing Biden-era rules that largely limited immigration arrests to serious criminals, national security threats and recent arrivals.
In its announcement Monday, the Trump administration portrayed self-deportation as a “dignified way” to leave the U.S., given that the alternative could be a forced deportation after being detained by ICE agents.
But the self-deportation push also helps the government conserve resources and money. As currently staffed and resourced, ICE does not have the personnel, detention space and assets to find, arrest, detain and deport the millions of immigrants estimated to be in the country without authorization.
DHS officials argued on Monday that the travel assistance and stipend would also save the U.S. government money, saying that arresting, detaining and deporting a migrant costs $17,121, on average.
DHS spokeswoman Tricia McLaughlin said the Trump administration has tracked “thousands” of self-deportations so far.
The Trump administration has repeatedly said those who participate in the self-deportation campaign may be able to come back to the U.S. legally in the future. But seeking permission to enter the U.S. legally is often a lengthy, complicated and expensive process, and poor and destitute individuals without any family or employers in the U.S. generally don’t qualify for a visa. Additionally, those who leave the U.S. after being in the country illegally for over a year could face a 10-year ban on reentry.
