Stellar Blade’s Hyung-Tae Kim Deliberately Put a Lot More Emphasis on Eve’s Backdesign That is Inspired From Shin Jae-eun

It looks like Stellar Blade is gaining more and more popularity as it gets closer to launch. This action hack-and-slash title grew in popularity thanks to the excellent character design of its protagonist, Eve. Fans cannot get over the fact that this character is designed to be so detailed and good-looking.

Developer Shift Up has really put a lot of work into designing this incredibly detailed world. Its combat mechanics are another thing that has quickly become a topic of discussion amongst gamers, thanks to its similarities with ****** May Cry and Sekiro. But the game’s director, Hyung-Tae Kim, suggested that they have put a lot of work into making sure that protagonist Eve has one thing that would make it easier for fans to get through the game.

Third-person games are interesting; they give players a wider look at the world. They get to see their enemies in all the areas around them, as well as their own character’s backside. This means extra work for the developers, as they now have to design the character upon completion.

Designing a character, then creating a 3D model that can be controlled by players, and then giving it those details that make this model whole. Everything counts when it comes to adding more details to a game, especially the character’s control.

Let’s not forget the time when Naughty Dog went all weird when they revealed the visuals of Uncharted 4. They were going around showing people

animation in that game.

Then came that unusual detail in

where Snake could get so ****** that NPCs would literally run away from him. Some would hold their breath while talking to Snake too. When things got too bad, Revolver Ocelot would bring a bucket of water and throw it at Snake.

Keeping in line with these details, Shift Up has also decided to do something unique. The director of Stellar Blade, Hyung-Tae Kim, recently revealed that they decided to put extra effort into designing a more detailed and attractive back for Eve. He suggested that they do it so players would have a

“When it comes to the design, we put special attention on the back of the character because the player is always facing the back of the character when they’re playing. That’s what they see the most of, so we thought this was pretty important.”

In some ways, this makes sense; a player would always be looking at Eve’s back while playing the game. But in a game like Stellar Blade, they would spend most of the time looking at their enemies, hacking and slashing through them, and looking out for the right moment to block or dodge.

But if a developer wants to put in extra work in order to give their fans a better experience in any department, then that’s only a good thing for their fans.

This quest for detailed characters is never going to end, it seems

As evident from the various examples above, developers sometimes get too obsessed with details in their games, but nothing can match what Rockstar Games does. They outdid every developer out there with Red ***** Redemption 2. From corpses that rot as time passes to giving the

some extra detail, they went all out with useless details in their game.

Hence, whatever reason they might have for it, Shift Up’s push towards giving Eve’s character model more and more details does not seem so crazy. They are just passionate about their work.
