Square Enix is set to have a busy start to next year, as yet another remake joins the company’s 2027 lineup. Romancing SaGa 3: Destinies United, a full-blown remake, is set to launch on February 16, 2027, for all modern systems.

that released back in 2024, updating the game with 3D graphics, fully voiced cutscenes, and overhauled combat systems and more. Even the aesthetic and art style look remarkably similar. You can see the first trailer below.

Romancing SaGa 3 first released on the Super Famicom in 1995, and carried on the series’ legacy of robust player choice while revamping the magic system, adding a wealth of minigames, and focusing on eight distinct protagonists. It removed the generation system from Romancing SaGa 2, along with permanent character death and handing down skills.
