is often hailed as one of the best games in the series, and it isn't hard to see why. However, despite being a truly tremendous release and offering a remarkably memorable narrative, little has been done with it outside of a few cameos for its core cast and appearances in crossovers. It's a shame, especially considering just how much potential there is for a Final Fantasy 9 remaster or even remake, the latter being a project fans would absolutely love to see.
