developer Moon Studios has delayed the game's long-awaited 1.0 launch until March 2027.

The news was confirmed today alongside a fresh trailer for the game, and an explanation that the wait would bring improved gameplay performance, a tightened class system and further polish to make the action RPG finally hit version 1.0 at "the standard it deserves."

If it feels like we've been waiting a long time for No Rest for the Wicked version 1.0, then that's because its initial PC early access build arrived back in April 2024. When the game does hit 1.0 in March 2027, it will do so for PlayStation 5 and PC. Nintendo Switch 2 and Xbox Series X/S versions are still planned, but lack a formal launch date.

As a reward for players' patience, the game's Founders Pack of extra in-game items has been extended to anyone who purchases the game before January 1, 2027, with recent purchases now retroactively included in the offer. That's for PC players, to be clear, while PS5 pre-order customers will get a similar offer early next year.

"Let me apologize," said Moon Studios' Thomas Mahler in a video published today. "I hope you folks understand that this is huge passion project of ours. We have been working on the first prototypes for No Rest of the Wicked since 2016. We'd just like to take this extra time to make sure that we land this plane safely and that we don't ship with any silly little bugs left."
