, Rockfish Games caps off the eight-year Everspace 2 project by releasing a technical update across PC, Xbox, and PlayStation platforms. In addition to Steam Deck Verification, this free final technical update brings optimizations, community-requested bug fixes, and minor features to all versions of Everspace 2. A special Steam ***** is live with discounts across the franchise to celebrate the update’s release.

“This technical update caps off an eight-year journey with Everspace 2. Our vision for an open world spaceship action RPG began alongside the founding of our studio more than a decade ago and was realized in this ambitious project,” said Rockfish Games CEO and co-founder Michael Schade, in a press release. “This has been a wild ride, and we appreciate all the space fans who have come along for this journey. Thank you to every Everspace 2 player out there who has enjoyed our game, left a review, shared the demo, and encouraged us to keep going.”

Today’s update includes optimizations, bug fixes, and quality-of-life features developed during the Switch 2 port that benefit all platforms. Performance on Xbox Series S in particular has been improved. New handheld-specific UI updates improve readability on Steam Deck, stepping the game to Steam Deck Verified status.
