In an interview with This is the hidden content, please Sign In or Sign Up , Benson Russell – who was at Naughty Dog for nearly a decade and worked as a game designer on Uncharted 1-3 and The Last of Us – explained that only one or two set pieces were planned for Uncharted 2, most notably the train sequence in Tibet which leads to the train hanging over a cliff. Because these were so well-received, Russell says development of Uncharted 3 started off with around a dozen set pieces planned, which he feels were too much.
