Seven years after terrorizing the world (in a good way) with Untitled Goose Game, developer House House is back with another world-dominating indie game, as Big Walk has quickly become one of the highest rated games of 2026 so far. Usually, the developer behind a game launching to such unanimous praise is quick to reveal what's next, but in this case, you're just going to have to settle for what's already on offer for a while, as House House says it needs a Big Nap for more than anything.

, the developers at House House take questions about the future of Big Walk and the studio itself, and while technically quite a few words are typed out, not a whole lot is actually said. Essentially, these guys are tired, and they are in mood to start thinking about plans beyond the game's initial launch.

"We're not really sure what Big Walk's future looks like - getting this far took heaps of work and a long time!" reads one of the developer's responses. "We need a good rest before we start thinking about what's next."

The developers add that there are currently "no content plans" for Big Walk in the works at House House, but the good news is that, in case you haven't played Big Walk, it's designed in such an "unrestricted" way that there's already a ton of interactivity to play around with as is. This is all my editorializing and not based on anything said by House House, but for a game that costs $20 (discounted to $15 right now), I'd say Big Walk is already a pretty fantastic value proposition.

House House's suggestion for anyone looking more to do is to try and come up with new, unintended interactions and games within the game, if you will. "We've had great success playing hide-and-seek amongst ourselves," reads another one of their answers. "We hope the game world is generous enough to make your own games within it."
