[STEAM] Capcom is sticking with Monster Hunter Wilds as it wants to fix the game until it closes the 20 million sales gap to Monster Hunter World

has been trailing its older siblings in sales, but publisher Capcom really wants to close the gap among its children. It just needs to sell about another 20 million of Monster Hunter Wilds to do so. Easy enough, right?

While Monster Hunter Wilds and Monster Hunter World's sales figures weren't updated at the same time, that 20-million-copy gulf between them likely hasn't changed much based on Wilds' lack of momentum. Capcom wants to turn around the game's fortunes, however, and its plan is already in motion.

"Ongoing enhancements to the technical performance of Monster Hunter Wilds have led to sales for the game improving," the publisher says in a recent

Capcom then notes it plans to keep "improving the game's technical performance" in an effort to "drive its total unit sales beyond those of Monster Hunter World over the medium to long term."
