[STEAM] Battlefield 6 launches Season 4 with naval gameplay on July 21 — with return to Wake Island map

Battlefield 6 released its Season 4 Naval Gameplay Trailer, giving players their first look at the arrival of Naval Warfare, launching July 21, 2026.

This trailer showcases the large-scale sea based combat in action across the new maps coming to the battlefield, including Tsuru Reef and Wake Island.

Players will be able to deploy to Tsuru Reef, the biggest battlefield yet, where sprawling islands, dynamic waves, boats, jets, helicopters, and ground vehicles collide in massive battles. Command the coastline with the RCB-90 Patrol Boat or race through the surf in the 7.7m NSW RHIB.

You can expand your arsenal with four new weapons, including a new sniper rifle, then climb the ranks in a brand-new Ranked Battle Royale season packed with fresh rewards. And later in the season, Wake Island returns.

It’s nice to see a proper naval warfare map coming to Battlefield 6. One of the things that made Battlefield 1942 great back in the day was the Wake Island map where you had land, sea and air forces all battling it out at the same time. It had tanks, planes, ships, submarines, and artillery as part of its vehicle warfare system.

Now EA has a fresh take on the same concept with Battlefield 6 in the brand new Tsuru Reef where you can see naval gunboats engaging with forces on the land and troops fighting in a resort hotel while jets engage in dogfights in the skies above.

Battlefield is a storied franchise renowned for uncompromising combat gameplay, and all-out warfare, for over two decades. The games have been played by more than 100 million players for over billion collective hours. Now Battlefield 6 had the biggest launch in franchise history and it has the battle royale mode dubbed Battlefield REDSEC.
