Wanting to play Meccha Chameleon on Mac, consoles, or mobile is understandable if you don't have access to a PC, and have been watching the viral sensation take off over recent weeks. The frantic hide-and-seek action leads to hilarious moments, and there are already millions of players painting themselves while trying to blend into the background and avoid detection. Is Meccha Chameleon available on formats other than PC?

(Image credit: lemorion_1224) While it's not out of the question, there have been no plans announced so far to bring Meccha Chameleon to any other formats. The game itself was created by just two indie developers, so there isn't a big studio behind it who could get to work on porting it to different devices, and they may not even have the technical resources required to develop it for other formats. The painting element of the game relies heavily on mouse control, so it may also be difficult to accurately transfer that to consoles or mobile.

One potential positive is that the multiplayer connectivity for Meccha Chameleon is built on Epic Games' Epic Online Services, which offers online services "on any combination of stores and platforms" and should mean that if the game does get ported to other formats then the online component is taken care of, perhaps even offering cross-platform connectivity between versions.
