recently announced the company’s intent to shut down studios such as Compulsion Games, Ninja Theory, and Double Fine, right after a successful Summer Games Fest showcase. The Internet isn’t liking that one bit, and is correctly comparing it to the most infamous betrayal in TV history.

Why did Xbox wine and dine us like that, if they knew?

Let’s try to keep spoilers to a minimum for those who haven’t seen the show. Simply put, the Red Wedding is a supposedly chill feast where the Stark clan is actually being lured into a trap that results in the deaths of like 50% of the remaining good people on that show. ’s not going that far, but, like, the thing about the Red Wedding is that it’s not real life. So maybe it’s in Xbox’s DNA to be like this, but it doesn’t have to be, and it shouldn’t, because nobody likes that. I believe that right now, the best strategy

can come up with is simply to not antagonize developers and gamers alike. I know just how obvious that sounds, but here we are.
