The Slayer is one of the most confusing classes in TBH: Task Bar Hero if you’re unsure of what you’re doing. For starters, it’s difficult to build a character that can fill multiple roles. While flexibility is a benefit to have, it can also leave you confused when you’re leveling him up.

That said, the Slayer kicks monsters very hard with the correct build.

To get the best possible build, you’ll need to understand how Slayer works.

• The Slayer can deal a heavy amount of damage by getting close to the enemies. His main strengths are locked behind doing physical attacks, and some of them can also AoE enemies.
• While the Slayer isn’t a glass cannon, he’s not a Knight either. Hence, you’ll need to pair him with classes that can protect him.

Here are the two best abilities to equip.

• Axe Spin: This is my favorite ability due to two main reasons. First, the Slayer spins his axe and does physical damage to all enemies caught in the radius. Second, the attack has a chance to inflict bleeding. Enemies with bleed subsequently take more damage from all incoming attacks. This ability works well with both bosses and minions alike.
• Crushing Blow: The Crushing Blow and Slam Jump work in the same fashion. However, the former deals more physical damage when the Slayer smashes an enemy with his axe. If the enemy dies from the attack, all nearby remaining minions will take more shockwave damage.

Let’s now take a look at the passive skills that we have to focus on.

• Attack damage: Raises the Slayer’s DPS from every attack, so it’s a must-have.
• Max HP: While the Slayer doesn’t have to tank damage, it’s important to give him extra health. That will be essential for him to deal with some incoming damage.
• Add HP per kill: Since the Slayer can deal plenty of damage, it’s critical to give him this passive. It allows him to heal every time he lands a kill.
• Area of Effect: This skill is only required if you choose to focus on investing points in his AoE moves.
• Physical Damage boost: Raises the physical damage done by the Slayer, and raises the potential of both his abilities that go with this build.

When you’re going for weapons, you can opt for decorations that boost any of the passives mentioned above. The Slayer is a great class once you manage to get the correct build.
