In FIFA World Cup: Launch Edition, the player’s phone is the controller, and their TV is the stadium. Players simply need to launch the game on their TV, scan the QR code with their phone, and they’ll be swiping to shoot and pass in seconds. Even someone who’s never touched a video game can get involved.

Launching alongside the kickoff of the historic FIFA Men’s World Cup on June 11, 2026. Players will be able to select any of the 48 teams in the tournament, travel to the 16 real-world stadiums, and take control of any of the 1248 players in the Cup.

The Launch Edition represents the ‘Kickoff’, a streamlined, high-energy game that will evolve over time but gives the immediate rush of playing along during this historic World Cup event.

Scroll to the ‘Games’ tab on a TV to find FIFA World Cup: Launch Edition and the rest of the games catalogue. A limited test in Brazil begins today.

Games on TV are currently available in 20 countries, including the US, Canada, the ***, France, Germany, Italy, Mexico, Spain, Austria, Australia, Belgium, Finland, Ireland, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Poland, South Africa, Sweden, Switzerland and Brazil. More countries will roll out over time.
