[STEAM] Best Warhammer 40,000 Mechanicus 2 graphics settings for no lag and max FPS

The early performance of Warhammer 40,000 Mechanicus 2 has been far from smooth, and you’re not the only one who might have run into trouble with stutters and lags. Several users have reported facing issues while trying to run the game despite their specs meeting the recommended standards.

Here are some changes I have made to the graphics to radically improve the general performance.

Before we dive deep into the best settings, here’s my current setup.

• 16 GB of DDR5 RAM
• AMD Ryzen 7 5700X
• AMD 9060XT

While my requirements are comfortably over the recommended settings, I still encountered stutters and lags on the opening night. Here’s the set of sliders I am currently using, and the performance has improved radically. I have concentrated more on removing the stutters as they’re the most frustrating thing.

• Resolution: 2560×1440 (Go with your personal preference)
• Adaptive Resolution: Off (Keep this on if you’re struggling with frames)
• Anti-Aliasing: On
• Anti-Aliasing Type: TAA Low
• Framerate: 60 FPS (While I have managed to notch up higher frames, they arrived with stutter. Mechanicus 2 is a turn-based game where 60 FPS is good if you can achieve that consistently).
• Ambient Occlusion: Medium
• Bloom: Disable
• Motion Blue: Disable
• Shadow Quality: Medium/Low
• Texture Quality: Medium
• Reactive Foliage: On (Turn this off if you’re getting frame drops)
• Screen Space global illumination: Disable
• Volumetric Fog: Medium

If you’re still encountering issues with frames, I would put everything to Low and turn off anything if applicable. I am expecting the game to get at least a few post-launch patches to smooth out the situation with the graphics. Until then, it’s best to keep the frames capped to avoid any stutters that can negatively affect your gameplay.
